Staff were very rude. Went in with my wife and our friend as the pubs down the road for home, they had cancelled on a table which was nice, we got seated had a look at the menu not a lot of options for a vegetarian so decided not to eat, lady in the strip trousers come to ask if we was ready we explained we was going to be eating she then rudely taking the menus away told us to move into the bar now and walked off what lovely manners she’s (NOT) then we finished our drinks went to pay the tab the young man at the bar blonde hair tall one, said to my wife was it to expensive for us, she was like excuse me he repeated him and we paid and walked off wasn’t going to entertain him, but for you information we can afford your food but we would rather go somewhere we can be treated right. The manager need to give there staff lessons on manners which they don’t have it’s absolutely disgusting will never come back again 😡

The cheater and I popped into the three kings for lunch on the way home from MG dealership bury st Edmunds. We both had the sirloin beef with rocket on sourdough bread and chili jam with French fries which was really really nice and great value for the price. got to be honest from the outside the three kings just looks like a regular pub that you wouldn't give a second look at on your way pasted. But once you walk in, its very smart clean and tidy. Staff are smartly dressed and friendly .Well done to the owners food is gorgeous the staff are very polite friendly and helpful. We will be coming back very very soon for a sunday roast lunch 😋

I have been to the Three Kings many time but this is the first time going since the new owners took over a few years ago. I do not mind paying for decent food, however the food quality just simply was not matching up to the prices. The steak sauce was tasteless. I feel as though the Three Kings are trying to be A Là Carte but they do not have the food quality to execute this. I asked for my steak to be medium rare but it came medium - this is all basic stuff that shouldn't be happening when paying £30. The tomato paste on the potatoe gratin was bizarre and it was so oily I couldn't tell if it were a potatoe gratin or fried bread. My daughters toasted sandwich was same story, it was incredibly greasy, so much so that you couldn't taste the flavours inside the toasted brioche. The service was incredibly slow however the guy was on his own, but the pub was by no means busy. Our drinks arrived mid-way through our meal despite ordering them before ordering our food. Our experience was an all round disappointment.

On 27th May 2023, I had my 60th Birthday Party at the Three Kings. I truly cannot thank Chris, Lucy, James and their fantastic team enough for making my birthday bash absolutely fabulous. The food was amazing, everyone loved it and it was replenished repeatedly, so it was always fresh and super tasty! The cocktails were very popular too! Nothing for was too much trouble, even providing extra string for the children’s balloons!! Everyone had the most amazing time, we took over most of the Pub and the outside courtyard was perfect for the entertainment and for the children to run around securely. One of my friends said it was the “Party of the Decade”. Think that sums it up!! A heart felt “Thank you” to Chris, Lucy, James and your very hard working team! Lyn Martin xxx

Probably the poorest service I have ever received in BSE. We had to wait 10-15 minutes to receive the bill after we asked for it, and then had to go up to the bar to pay anyways because the server never came back. Paid in cash and they did not offer change, meaning we were forced to leave a tip for the aforementioned bad service. We will not be returning. Otherwise, the food was well-prepared and fresh, but very overpriced in my opinion. The portions were relatively small compared to several other local establishments and we left hungry after spending £45 for two…

A little gem in fornham! What a turn around since being taken over. The decor is tastefull and feels upmarket. The food is sensational. We tried wild mushroom truffles from the nibbles and they were exquisite in flavour. We had roast beef for main with all the trimmings and there was not a bland flavour on my plate, it was nothing short of a flavour explosion. If you like good quality food and a nice atmosphere with tastfull surroundings then I would highly recommend.

I decided on booking Sunday Lunch here after having eaten here a few years ago and really enjoying it.However I and the rest of my family were really disappointed with the meal.Firstly we were expecting the "fresh seasonal vegetables" as was advertised on the website we were served with peas (Typical kind you would get from the freezer) and a few slithers of carrot, secondly the rest of the meal was bland and some what reminiscent of a school dinner. The service was okay but for £11.95 I would not rate it as good value for money. I am sorry that I didn't complain at the time but being a birthday treat for my mother I didn't want to cause an atmosphere.

Lucky to get a table , as nearly all reserved , arrived early decided on roast pork.. meat very nice but oh the veg !!! There are better than Peas and Carrots.... cauli, broccoli, leeks, different cabbages ,sprouts etc , know that peas and carrots are cheap and frozen as are the Yorkshire’s ! Disappointed as the last time we had slowed cooked Brisket on mash with parsnip curls and other veg ... delicious ! No-one bothered to come and ask if everything was OK , not even when we paid , very disappointing !

We stayed here for 4 nights with our dog last week. The landladies and staff were very friendly. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The steak and kidney pie was a proper pie not a casserole with a pastry lid. Breakfast was freshly cooked and filling. The fridge in our room was an added bonus and our room had the best hotel bed I've slept in for a long time. We had a family meal here on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday as we were staying locally for the weekend. We booked ahead the day before to make sure we could get a table. The landlady’s were super friendly and welcoming to us and made a big fuss of our dog. The pub was busy and had a good atmosphere and the food was just stunning. It looked like a normal pub menu, lots of choice, but it was cooked to perfection. I had the beef Brisket with mustard mash which was fabulous. My husband had the fish pie which he loved and my dad loved his fish and chips. I was really impressed with this little place and would definitely recommend it.

We just stopped off for a quick lunch. Friendly staff and good beer. I had Fish and chips, the chips were maybe a bit greasy, but looked home made. My wife’s Jacket potato was a bit on the big side and a bit burnt on the outside, but there were no complaints. She had asked for chilli on top which was not a problem. While sitting in some nice comfy chairs by the window, I noticed that they do a Sunday lunch on a Monday for a good price, so look out for that (£14 or £16 for 2?).

Couldn't really ask more from a pub tbh - had a variety of things on the menu, service was prompt and friendly and plenty of seating. We felt very comfortable bringing our (giant!) labrador here and he had plenty of attention from the two ladies who ran the place. My daughter and grandson went for the nacho burger, we had to ask for the sour cream and gauclamole that should have been in the burger! We were shown the menu and also the "Specials" board and told that on Fridays you could face 2 x fish and chips for £15.95. I was surprised that they even honour this on Good Friday. This is what we ordered because it sounded really good value for money. We were not disappointed. A big, moist piece of fish covered in crispy batter and a bed of hand cut chips and peas that were not dried up green bullets (as often happens in other establishments) and a good dollop of tartare sauce. Gorgeous! We then had the homemade crumble straight from the oven. We will definitely be returning!

Great place to eat. Advise booking, although we didn't but was only a short wait for a table for two. Quite a wait on food too (around 30 minutes) but was a Saturday and super busy. You have to scan to order which we weren't told on arrival but obviously soon worked out when no one came to take our order. Food when it arrived was hot and really lovely. Reasonable prices for Bury. My only fault personally was where we were seated was so dark I had to use my phone camera to read the menu. Would definitely revisit but maybe on a quieter day and at a different table.

This Pub is known for it's pies, and for just under £16.00 the beef pie was well worth it! So much delicious, melt on the fork beef, in a rich gravy, with my choice mash and vegetables. Some people do not like the puff pastry top and the pie comes in a dish, but I can recommend it! All freshly cooked. I am lucky I live next door so i was able to roll home after such a large meal.
