Edmundo Lounge in St Edmundsbury

Long wait. Ordering process complicated. We wanted to cover the bill for everyone, but it was only possible individually. But food was great!

They were able to accommodate all the allergies we had. The food was excellent. We had starter, main and desert.

Great place to eat. Advise booking, although we didn't but was only a short wait for a table for two. Quite a wait on food too (around 30 minutes) but was a Saturday and super busy. You have to scan to order which we weren't told on arrival but obviously soon worked out when no one came to take our order. Food when it arrived was hot and really lovely. Reasonable prices for Bury. My only fault personally was where we were seated was so dark I had to use my phone camera to read the menu. Would definitely revisit but maybe on a quieter day and at a different table.

Fabulous decor just sat taking it all in. Delicious food served by very pleasant staff. Nice atmosphere too.

The best, cleanest food in bury st Edmunds, especially if you have a vegan, a celiac and a dog, a wheelchair user and a bunch of kids in your group. Edmundos caters truly to everyone and are extremely strict in catering to allergies, a true rarity! Nothing is too much hassle for the staff and the efforts of Jade, Taylor and Jocelyn are appreciated and well loved every time. We aren't the easiest group, but choose to dine there often because of their positive attitudes and sense of humour! The food is clean and tasty. The older kids appreciate the kids cocktails while the grown ups get to sing along to live music. The younger kids are provided with colouring sheets and plenty of entertainment from the staff. 110% recommended for anyone looking for decent food and ambience, in the heart of historic and beautiful Bury St Edmunds.

I've been to Edmundos a couple of times, but went tonight with work friends. Great atmosphere, excellent service especially as you use the app to order and pay and then it is delivered SO quickly! Staff were helpful and friendly. I had a mezze bowl salad which was delicious. I asked for an extra of poached egg, but disappointingly it was over-cooked and not runny at all. Everyone else really liked their food too. I would definitely go again!

Not a lot to dislike, I enjoyed the food. It definitely had a nice atmosphere. And if passing through Bury St Edmunds in the future, it would be the place I'd head for. Central to all amenities.

I wholeheartedly recommend this place if your looking for somewhere to eat with a coeliac or someone who requires gluten free food, it's amazing, the staff are great and the place has a really nice vibe too it

When you go into this place you pick your own place to sit and order using your table number with a qr code, or you can order at the bar using your table number. They have a specific vegan menu which was nice. The food itself was tastly and well presented.

Poor service again!!! Only got half our meal and won't recommend anyone who wants a meal on-time to visit. This has to be sorted out. .

Decided to dine in here whilst wandering round the town. Nice friendly service and good tables both inside and outside in the sunshine. Food was reasonably priced and decent. We had the fried chicken and brisket chilli. Both tasty. Drinks reasonably priced. Overall a decent meal at a decent price.

They have good breakfast options, and the food tastes great! The cappuccino I got was sub-par, but otherwise a good experience overall!

Came in for brunch today for my 11 year olds birthday. Waitresses were very welcoming and friendly. Order food via the app and waited 40 minutes to have a waitress come and apologise that there would be a further wait of 10-15 minutes. Which led to having to put an extra ticket on the car to then be served with cold stale chips. Order the house three cheese fries for £4, 10 chips with a grazing of melted cheese turned up, after complaining and saying I wouldn't be paying £4 for them. I was told they ran out of the other cheeses, so in other words we're quite happy for us to pay the extra for nothing. They were then replaced with a normal portion of fries and a refund offered. I complained to the waitress as all the other food was cold and got told to speak to the manager at the end and it would be sorted. As we left went to speak to the manager who honestly couldn't care less and refunded chips and my daughters burger, no apologies, no discount. As I had ordered via my phone, I now have to wait 3-10 days for the refund. If it wasn't for the waitresses would have easily been the worst meal I've been out for.

Nice lounge, decent food, nice service!

Thought we’d dip into Edmundos to grab a drink. Having ordered at 1124 did not receive the drinks until 1140. Seems the @table service isn’t a priority over ordering at the bar. Quality of service depends on, I guess, who is working on that day. There have been occasions in the past where I’ve been turned away as our group were too big for the chef to cope with. (Birthday meal for 10). Think this will be the last time I frequent Edmundos for a while.

I like the ability to order on the app. Food choice great, service average, especially at the bar. Not as friendly as other venues in town.

Edmundo Lounge is really rather nice. Liked the subdued light, the food is quite cosmopolitan, plenty to choose from menu. Will go again.

It’s like you were never there. Lifeless Not helped by the fact all the ordering is done on the app at the table. There is no interaction with staff other than when they bring food and drinks. No pleasantries No acknowledgment when you arrive at the table. App suggests a tip for staff every time you order. Doesn’t allow for verbal tips. Interact with your customers then you might get a tip!! Not one for me. Food is average for price

I went here with my partner for coffee as most of the other coffee shops were closed by 6pm. We ordered drink and took a seat, We then decided we would have cake and I wanted extra milk as the coffee was extremely bitter. My partner approached the bar where 4 female staff were preparing drinks and did not acknowledge him at all. He asked a waitress if we could get cake and more milk and she said she was only serving drinks and that we had to queue at the bar. There was nobody else waiting and we were still ignored, so after ten minutes, we drank up and left. Poor service by rude ignorant staff with no customer service skills whatsoever. The place is extremely dark and miserable and the toilets are filthy. I would give this place a wide berth in future.

Eddie's is one of the usual meetup spots. The food is pretty good and it's a lot easier to get a table for a group than several of the spots in town.

Lovely food as always. The Lounges are great for me as I'm gluten free, they have a really good gf menu with lots of choice. They take it very seriously and look after you, the food is flagged up so no mix ups. Good tasty food at a good price.

We ordered Halloumi burgers! The taste was very good,The Bun and Halloumi cheese were cold! should be more warm! Little bit disappointed! everything arrived very quickly so I don’t know why bun and cheese was cold.this is normally like that or I just was unlucky?

Caters well for families with buggies/prams as spacious and well equipped with high chairs and a reasonably healthy children’s menu, that doubles as a colouring/puzzle activity. Also included is a snack pot of hummus with carrot and bread sticks for children while they wait, which is a great 👍 Coffee is good and the Buddha bowl too. Brunch, burgers, flatbreads, sandwiches and mains on the menu along with salads. Dogs welcome with a designated station equipped with dog bowls, water and biscuits. All in all a safe bet if you have young children and/or a dog.

Big fan of "The Lounges" and Edmundo didn't disappoint. Service was great, and everyone was very friendly. Food was great, as always.

Lovely greeting at the door. Wonderful atmosphere and space. Authentic historic building complete with old photographs and memorabilia. Would recommend. Order online or order at the bar with table service. Large selection of meals on menu. Would highly recommend

The place is very vibrant and has very good/happy atmosphere. Serving people have been more than amazing!! We have ordered flat breads, the toppings have been really good but the flatbread itself was very hard to cut with the knife ( would suggest a stake knife), the Ciabatta garlic bread was so hard, impossible to eat, we've been served some very old Ciabatta which was grilled and impossible to eat. Overall we had good experience, but the food could have been fresh-er!

Excellent food and fun atmosphere. We went on a night with live music and the vibe was wonderful. I am always impressed with the variety of menu items and the cocktails are so refreshing. I recommend anything off of the tapas menu!

We visited for lunch on a Saturday. Long delays. Service poor food cold. We have aten at several lounges previously and been delighted. This time service and food disappointing. I would advise you avoid on Saturdays.

Thank you so much to the staff at the Edmundo Lounge today. You were all exceptional ! Just a week ago I called to book a table for 19 people, being the immediate family of my mum, for a brunch following a cremation service. It may not be the most obvious place for a wake however my mums unique sense of style along with the quality of the food at the Lounge made it the perfect choice. From the moment that I made the first call to the moment that we left today the staff were professional, warm, welcoming and quite honestly made our day a cherished experience. We were able to share memories and chat, feeling no pressure at all, the staff were attentative but not obtrusive and coped beautifully with our drinks orders. We arrived too early but were welcomed without hesitation. Despite pre-ordering the food we were very much anticipating that the food would need to come out in staged orders. But that was not the case at all, it was an absolute credit to the staff that the food orders came out one straight after the other and maintained the quality that I have previously experiened here. The food was all delivered swiftly, at the same time, perfect quality and by staff that were not only equal to the task but took great care and understanding to make our day so much easier. Please extend our thanks to the staff today that made a difficult experience something memorable for us all xxx

Menu prices are incorrect! Only realised after I'd paid. I queried the price of my lounge eggs as the menu said £8.75. I was told it was actually £9.75 - "sorry about that"! They didn't offer me my £1 back. Didn't leave a tip & won't be going back.

My wife’s Chicken burger was completely raw in the middle. I had a beef burger and a few hours later I was violently sick. Definitely won’t be eating there again. !!!

When you go out for a family meal for a special occasion you expect a certain level of service especially when you’re spending the thick end of £300, like your food and drinks order being taken from your table, you cutlery laid out for you instead of being dumped in a heap in front of you on the table and your table being cleared at a appropriate time after you’ve finished eating and not being left until you’ve left the building. I had to leave my meal to go order 5 drinks at the bar which was bad enough so asked the bar girl politely to bring them to the table and she said no I’ll give you a tray and you can take them yourself. So waited while my dinner got colder and took them myself. Real bad service and all the other staff were just standing behind the bar chatting. The restaurant was quiet so wasn’t like they were run off their feet. But if you order from the slow clunky app they will bring your drinks.. I don’t get it.. The food was ok-average chips were tepid burger bun was dry but the restaurant was nice and ambient. Wife said ladies wasn’t very clean unfortunately. Have eaten here a couple of times as live locally but seems to have gotten worse and the staff are under motivated and almost can’t be bothered with no customer interaction or fun and communication. Such a shame. Dont think we will be going back.

Six of us came in for a lunchtime meal, it was packed a good sign. We ordered drinks and food and when mine showed up the cowboy burger I had half a tin of chips and a tablespoon of warm coleslaw. The burger was amazing but let down by the chips and coleslaw. We don't live in Bury but probably wouldn't go back when we next visited, although the service was good, the place was clean.

I couldn't believe the rise in prices. I know food and dining out has gone up, but a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc at almost £30, was actually 11% Yellow Tail, which currently retails in the supermarket at £7.50 or even less. I found that disappointing. The food was also not as good as it used to be. The tapas ranged from tepid (patatas bravas) to overcooked (sweetcorn fritters and flat-bread). It was also cold, so we moved seats to try and warm up. A wine glass we were given was too dirty to drink from, so used a water glass. Asked about table water and were directed to the 'self-service' water which was empty. Hope I imagined it, but also noticed a member of staff eye-roll to her colleague at some other customers seated near us. Love Edmundo (see previos review), but really hope it doesn't start to go downhill. Will be a while before I return. Loved the relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. Staff were polite and respectful. Dog friendly as well. Would recommend to all my friends and family.

Lovely, a must try if in the area. We went for a birthday lunch with healthy or naughty options, wide choice classy drinks and good vibes sat inside.

Great place to hang out, meet friends for casual dining. Range of different seating options, traditional tables and chairs, a leather sofa, armchairs and coffee table, with lots of delicious food options....we opted for tapas to share...maple chicken wings are amazing!... treated ourselves to scummy deserts - churros, and a sundae... what's not to like? Staff all friendly... Can order on the app or with staff. App very easy to use. Go have fun.

Excellent and very friendly cafe/bar. Went with a friend and their dog and could not have been made more welcome. Bowls with treats and water for the dog as you enter. Staff were just wonderful and chatty and very helpful. We had a breakfast which was very nice and full of taste. The place itself is quirky which I love. All in all I will be returned in the future to try something else on their extensive menu.

Food was very very good, I had the burger and chips but it was great! Coconut iced cappuccino to go with which was amazing, atmosphere was great also, we sat on the sofas near the entrance which aren’t the best for your back but when it’s busy you just gotta get a seat. Would defo come back.

We frequently visit this restaurant mainly for drinks as it’s got a lovely chilled atmosphere to it. The cocktails are great!

Nice place to go and eat/drink. Food is good. My only criticism is, when ordering via the QR code, you are prompted to include a tip, which was 3 tiered. Why would you tip before you have eaten?.

This review is purely based off the cleanliness of the wine glass I received, sent it back and got given one just as dirty

The Edmundo Lounge is great. I have only been to this branch a few times, but every time I have been the service has been excellent - very friendly staff, very helpful and smiley, food and drinks are delicious and made perfectly, it's always clean, and overall it's just a great visit when I've been. Dietary requirements are always considered, which is very important for me. The Lounges are always a great place to go, and Edmundo is always a pleasant visit :)

Stayed in Bury with my girlfriend. We wanted a place with a good and extensive vegan/plant based menu. With a whole menu to choose from, plenty of different things to try. The food was great, and decor was interesting and eye-catching. Most of the waitresses were pleasant, but one in particular seemed very apathetic, and we were more a hindrance to her evening.

The location is great! And the he staff are friendly and efficient! Sat upstairs and was too dark to read the menus so sat there with our phone torches. The menu had a great selection, but feel I just was unlucky today, my parents burger meals were great and they had been a few times before and had no complaints. But today my food was not good, and being out of the way and didn’t want to complain I ate what I could the chicken was burnt and dry, the noodles and vegetables tasted old and nasty was extremely disappointed:( the highlight was the coconut milk/ chocolate milkshake!

We, that's my two Daughters,two Grandchildren and I came in for lunch, I spent £49 which was acceptable. However we were disappointed that there were so many dogs which in an eaterie is not ok, at one time there was eight dogs surrounding us, then the dog on the next table urinated on the floor, just not on!!!! When I complained to the area manager saying there should be a dog free area she straight away said " there is one, upstairs". No where when I arrived was there a sign or verbal information to that effect. I would not expect so many dogs, in a town centre restaurant. In effect in means I will not return again. Shame as the food was excellent, the staff were efficient and friendly. Brian Moss and family.

We went for a family brunch and was not impressed. Was really busy, but it was New Years Day. We waited 20* minutes for the coffees, & when they did arrive the waitress had taken to the wrong table and left them there. She said in a loud voice she didn’t know who they were for and joked about it and retrieved them from the other table. Then with the longest finger nails transferred our cups over holding the rim of each cup. I noticed she did this to every table she served. Not what you want someone’s fingers all over the cup rim your drinking from. The coffee was cold & had an off taste to it, It was awful. We waited another half an hour for the cold food to arrive, my daughter’s eggs were slimy and under cooked. We ate what we could but it wasn’t the best, especially when it cost £48 for 4 breakfasts ( 1 of them a child’s meal) Sadly we won’t be returning, such a shame as it’s always somewhere I’d choose to visit.

It was scruffy and overpriced for what we had. There were 5 of us and no one enjoyed the food. I had the house burger which was a charred dried up piece of meat, Chios were cold. They were short staffed so a long wait which wasn’t a problem but of course the tables weren’t cleaned.

Me and hubby had a late breakfast here. Was very nice. The service was excellent.

Had meal recently. Nasi goreng and chilli. The nasi goreng was like a starter - I had to get more food from elsewhere afterwards, which I've never done before . Taste was fine - just incredibly small portion. Breakfast is great there but won't use for evening meal again.

Food was ok could of been a lot hotter tho. Staff seemed to be very slow and didn't respond with any enthusiasm and didn't get back to us when we ask a question about something regarding our meal. Floor up stairs had big bits of fluff and hair floating around also. It's a shame as this was the first time in a while we used here but I feel it has gone down hill since our last visit.

What an unfortunate meal, not only did it take 40+ min for one "butter" chicken and 4 tapas but it was ALL so burnt the butter chicken was mostly black the cheese and sweet corn tapas as well as the chicken wings were all burnt and horrid, we have a 18 month old who couldn't end up eating because it was so bad. they refunded the Chicken but the rest was just as bad. what a pity, even with the wait it was a nice atmosphere.
