Staff is very friendly , and customer service is excellent. We visited Three Horse Shoes New years Eve , we booked a table and was going to eat there too. But it was decided that food was not being served after 4.00p.m . We were told that they tried contacting us but were unsuccessful . But to our delight, we were offered some sharing dishes . We had a great night . Thank you to all your lovely staff and all the vest 2024.

Went on Xmas eve ,very busy but the staff were very efficient in handling all the customers.

Staff are so miserable. Just wanted to order a beer at Christmas time and we got an eye roll because we wanted to order 4 drinks. This place has gone down hill.

Only popped in for a pint with friends and found people celebrating Christmas and others having a Wake. There was much respect between all parties. The black sheep was grand.

Only ever had breakfast here which was lovely apart from the coffee which was awful. Went in yesterday with my husband and another couple. Two of us ordered the Turkey pie which was really good with a nice creamy sauce, however it was served with a really dark thick gravy that just didn't go with it and the mash potato must have been kept under a light because it had a crust on top and really stodgy and the veg was obviously frozen and bland. Very disappointed.

Standard local pub. Good choice of drink

We stayed at the inn and the couple that ran the place was so lovely. Really quality human beings. One of them even let us order dessert an hour after the kitchen was closed and delivered it to our room ourselves. Would come back.

Was average at best. Chilled chicken and bacon salad was a chunks on top of a pile of dry mixed leaf with a bit of tomato cucumber and onion. No dressing or offer of dressing, nothing of interest....just under a tenner. Staff were good but food was disappointing.

I visited the three horseshoes with someone i support who has recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease i enquired if they had a menu for this the manager came over to us to help with chosing a dish he was very helpful and we managed to chose a meal from the menu the person whom i was supporting really enjoyed his meat so big thanks to the manager for his kind help

I just want to say a massive thank you to Meg (chef) Amy & Beth (bar) and Paul for helping us out today. Last minute they accommodate a family party of 22. The food was lovely. I can’t believe one chef managing to serve it all together and on time with no mistakes. We had a lovely area cordoned off for our sole use which meant the grand parents & grand children all felt welcome. I never thought I would be glad our initial plans went so disastrously wrong last minute… but I’m glad they did. We will definitely be using again.

Hired the function room for our wedding anniversary party and had the best time. We danced the night away with a top dj that the manager Paul sorted for us. Great night from start to finish. Thanks

great prices and atmosphere. Bar staff let the place down. I asked if any gin offers were on, which was returned with a simple head shake and no words of interaction. After buying 2 gins I then found the menu with lots of cocktail and gin offers. I could have basically had a double for the price of my single. I then went up to order 2 cocktails and basics were added without the extras. No idea about pleasing customers.

Popped in for a quick one. What a great place. Restaurant, lounge bar, garden and a great selection of drinks ks to suite any taste. Loved it. Brilliant prices as well. Can't fault it. Cheerz

Visiting some friends in Wickersley for the weekend and we went to the Tanyard area. Amongst the various venues that we visited we had a bite to eat in the Three Horse Shoes with some of their sharing tapas dishes. Very good range of cask ale also as some of the other venues did not stock any ales at all. A good pit stop if you are in the area

Popped in for some lunch with colleagues. Weather was nice so we sat in the garden at rear which is spacious and in good condition. There is a lunch special I had the club sub and a drink. Good quality and value for money.

Enjoyable visit with friends in nice beer garden. Sharing food planks were good quality and reasonably priced. Will look forward to visiting again.

Another very good breakfast visit, Full English Breakfast for only £4.79 is very good value for money! They are also more than happy to substitute and amend any items. Will be back!

Good food, good atmosphere. Shame that they'd run out of a lot of the options, but the alternatives we chose were good. The service could've been a little better, the bar was empty the majority of the time so you had to wait to be served a lot. Apart from that, was a good experience and I would return again.

Came in for food with my wife, great staff and food was great quality and value. Will return.

Waited an hour for our food to arrive in the end we got our money back and came home. The coffee was not good either.

Not sure what’s happened to the larger and beer since the previous manager left. Last few times we’ve been in it taste awful had to take a few back.

Mega busy early on a Saturday, decent selections of ales.

My first visit here today which was a catch up with a friend. Seems a good pub. We sat out side in the beer garden. I had scampi chips and garden peas.and it was really nice especially for rhe price was really shocked and pleased...

Went to meet Neiece the Staff and service was efficient. The outlay is good and Clean Toilets are checked hourly. Nice beer garden at rear . Food we did not dine but looked OK.

THE local for me. The beer is always in top condition. A proper Bitter pub, for those wanting something other than straw coloured, citrus-flavoured beer. (Yes, they sell that and lager too!). Great staff, well managed and the beer garden is the best it's been in 50+ years.

What a great pub and great staff ,managment made my friend and I very welcome we had an awesome breakfast and later went back to watch the football .manager remembered us from the morning and took us to the same seats we sat in for breakfast we had a brilliant night , icing on the cake England Beat Ukraine. I used to be a barmaid, (back in the 90s) , its a good job there was no Internet back then!....lol, but my experience at the horseshoe was a fab one, my top of the pops waitress was EMMA, she was attentive, gave us details of each drink we asked about, and chatted generally, absolutely a fabulous girl!!!!....top marks Emma!!!!! ....Dean also is a great guy, good waiter service too!.. had a fantastic time at the horseshoe in Wickersley!!!!

Was nice staff apart from 1 who didn't get my order right

Had to almost beg to get deposit back for table and still got shortchanged, service was very slow, staff had very bad attitude, last orders at 9.30pm on a Saturday, this place is a joke, they are losing a lot of custom, won't be back.

If I could give it zero stars I would. We visited last weekend for some drinks with friends, we was mortified. The landlord is an awful person it’s a shame really as the pub is a nice place. He was rude, he was shouting at us etc... it was 15 minutes before closing, the bar staff picked up my partners drink no gloves baring in my we are in a pandemic and poured the drink in a plastic cup and said it’s easier and we can take it out (which is also illegal). When we complained about what happened the landlord didn’t think to apologise, instead he started shouting at us as if it was our fault. He also was shouting and bragging about how much money he made that night which I find very hard to believe because the pub was near empty. Due to this we are considering reporting this to the authorities.

This place is an absolute joke!! For starters they had drinks on the menu that wasn't available, told us we could have them and had to come back to the table 3 times with alternatives. Which wasn't too much of an issue although inconvenience. The worst of all came around closing time, I went to the toilet around 15 minutes before closing time, arrived back at my table to find my drink had been poured into a plastic cup. I asked the landlord why this had happened and he replied so you can take it outside, I replied I was wanting to drink this before I left your pub as I canot stand plastic cups. He then started to ARGUE with me about this matter. The landlord spoke to me like muck on his shoe. I did go back to him with some true facts about this matter as we are in a pandemic but he seem to not care less and started to tell me how good his pub was and how much money he has earned tonight, found this hard to believe as he was the doorman for his own pub. Thanks for taking your time to read this and please consider before attending this run down awful place. Cheers .

Very well organised. Charlotte had to help me with the app. She was friendly, nothing too much trouble and very helpful. She was observant - as to knowing when customers needed serving - but not overly so as to be a nuisance. A lovely personable member of staff.

If i could give it 0/5 I would , John the landlord is so rude he told all our group never to come back.All the staff that served us was lovely and one staff member Evan told us that he made her cry that day and told her she couldn’t do anything right .He rewind the atmosphere by shouting and been rude. REALLY REALLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE !!
