Excellent service from Nat and Lou food was excellent well cooked hot and tasted amazing tryed the chicken tikka and carvery plenty of food but not over facing would definitely recommend

It was so busy, on the lead up to Christmas on what I call "black eye friday", we were served promptly, the food was spot on and staff although completely rushed off their feet, couldn't do enough for us, they were fantastic.

We received a very warm welcome. We pre ordered the festive menu, the starters were beautiful, the main even better, and the puddings was gorgeous, massive compliments to the chef *chefs kiss*. All staff was lovely and polite, so friendly and lots of banter. Cocktails and beers were lovely. Our experience from start to finish was perfect. Louise, Natalie and Matthew are both outstanding in their roles. 100% recommend, will definitely be coming back. Thank you again for such a lovely time.

Had Christmas dinner and service was quick and efficient. Had rib eye steak and it was cooked to perfection. The 3 courses were all very tasty and will definitely be coming back again.

I visited as part of a group of 12 or our work Christmas dinner. The member of staff waiting on us was amazing! Super friendly, very efficient at clearing our tables and always came to us with a smile - sorry I didn't catch her name otherwise I would mention it here. The menu is very good with the full range from those looking for something a little lighter, right up to those looking to take in a days worth of calories in one sitting! The process of ordering was easy, and the food was priced very reasonably too. The food began arriving to our tables promptly, and nobody within my party had anything negative to say about the quality of food, it was enjoyed by all! I had the Korean BBQ Chicken Burger and it was really nice, especially the chip seasoning used! Great atmosphere, well decorated, we were all looked after - nothing to fault at all!

This is our first visit, and we are very impressed. Friendly bar staff, and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks selection. Great menu choice, which suits everyone's requirements. Mathew Shaw the barman was so friendly and chatty to all his customers. He's a credit to the pub, as well as the rest of the staff behind the bar. Nice relaxed atmosphere and we will definately be coming back and recommend to our friends.

Parked nearby for night as a trucker and here was recommended. Food lovely, staff great especially Matthew who like me, doesnt like christmas songs in November. Matthew Shaw is an asset to the company, a great salesman and like me doesnt appreciate Boney M and Mariah Carey before December

Ordered the 8oz rump steal with fries and spicy rice. Steak was tasty but slightly over done, chips were good nothing to complain about, the rice was surprisingly tasty. Positive: - Decent food for reasonable price - Fast service as restaurant was empty - Was very clean - Very friendly staff Negatives: - Order soft drinks with no ice and was filled only 70% of glass which was a bit of a shock - Forgot my peppercorn sauce, but was quickly sorted after speaking to staff

Came with Family for a family meal with grandad, uncle, and boyfriend, Had a lovely meal, I had mix it up steak, sweet potato fries, sweet chilli sauce, the steak was cooked to perfection, all the other 3 meals were cooked to perfection too. I even had dessert which was tasty delicious. Clean and tidy and the Staff, Reece, Evie and Rob the manager was really good to us, Would definitely recommend to others and I'd definitely come back again. Thank you for a lovely meal 😀

Clean and tidy, service excellent, so friendly and polite. Food tasted great and hot not loop warm like other places ive been. Food great and as a vegetarian really pleased with my meal - mushroom and ale pie - however, the outstanding customer service from the young bar guy made our quick trip out for tea great. He was so professional, friendly and quite funny, we observed this throughout with everyone coming in as we sat beside the bar. It's so good to 0 receive this customer service and we will definitely return mainly based on his service,

We have been to The Riverside twice recently for food which was good, however this review is about the outstanding customer service received from barman Matthew who is an absolute credit to the establishment. His friendliness, courteousness and willingness to please each and every customer is a rarity (we were sat in a booth near the bar so witnessed this). Keep up your excellent customer rapport Matthew - you are an absolute gem!

We have been here a few times, staff are always friendly and welcoming. There are usually some really good deals on for the food, this time we orderd of the £6 menu which is really good value! The food has always been really nice. This time when we ordered there was quite a rude impatient customer trying to push in the que but the staff handled it very well. It has always been a nice environment and not too busy during the week.

Second visit in two days. Love the food, quiet atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Brought elderly mum today, and she was given a box ti take her leftovers ( she didn't want to leave such a lovely lunch)

Have been to riverside on many occasions must say this wasn't the best visit,went with my husband and two grandsons.placing the order at the bar I found the bar man rather rude because I couldn't pronounce on off the dishes right The food was okay but not great ,I did not ask for kids meals but got kids meals ,the potions were small , didn't get asked if the meal s were okay , don't think I'll be coming back for a while

Nice and clean place, had a small business meeting there and only had some drinks but I bet the food is nice too.

Just had a meal here with my daughters. We all absolutely smashed our dinners and the girls had deserts too. I had korma and the girls had tacos and nuggets. Must admit it was THE nicest pub curry i have ever had and all 3 of us absolutely demolished our food. Nothing was too much trouble for any staff member and the bill blew me away. Absolute bargain and amazing customer service. Will be visiting again very soon!!

Booked for a family of 10 for Sunday lunch, we couldn’t fault a thing the food was lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful will definitely be returning

Brought visitors from abroad here but being turned away just because they can’t cater to 7adults and 4 children. At first we were told we need to leave within an hour (regardless of how long their kitchen take to cook). Then we were told they don’t have a table big enough for 11 people even though we saw empty tables (but were told that the area will be closed). Then when we suggested to split into 2 tables, we were told their kitchen cannot cater to so many people. Have you heard of a restaurant that cannot or will not serve food to 11 people at 5pm if they were to turn up in 2 groups?

Been in today, asked for a cheesburger quesadilla which should have come with alot more than what we got..... We basically got a wrap and mince with a little bit of lettuce which was classed as a salad! What we received on the plater was totally different to what was described on the menu.

Absolutely atrocious. We ordered food at the same time, one meal come out which was wrong, had items missing, when speaking to member of staff, she had an attitude. I was sat waiting 15 minutes for everyone else’s food to come out which by the time the food came, it was freezing cold, at that point we then had to complain further about the burger as member of our party received which was a bacon cheese burger with a tiny slither of bacon, we reported and they cleverly said “yeah that’s what it comes with” then come back, slammed the pot on side and went “more bacon”. Will not be returning as members of staff our rude, food was cold & wrong.

Extremely disappointed, we waited quite a while for the food to come out. When it arrived I was gobsmacked at the look of it, I ordered the bacon and cheese burger and I was shocked at the amount of bacon on the “bacon and cheese burger”. It was mentioned to the assistant manager to which she said that’s how much bacon you get. She did then come over a few minutes later and bring a pot of bacon over. The chips tasted like they had been refried and the onion rings were as if they had been sat there for a while. As a booking of 6 we had spent quite a bit of money and regretfully too.

We had a group of 7 as walkins on Saturday evening, the staff were most accommodating regarding seating, we did the same on the Sunday evening, just turned up as walkins, again the lady who I'm guessing is the manageress (sorry didn't get the name), went the extra mile to supply seating for all 7 of us. The fact that on both visits our plates were left empty says that the food was good and at a reasonable price. Will return again when next in the area.

Went to Riverside pub in Rotherham yesterday for the first time with my husband and one of my daughters. We had a lovely meal of steak and ale pies with chips and peas.( pies very big and full of meat).The pub comes across to me as a clean and well looked after pub.A big shout out to the to the Staff who are very friendly and welcoming.Thankyou. Will be back.

Food was normal pub grub, nothing too exciting but nice enough. Staff were lovely, made to feel really welcome and they chatted to my little one too. Will probably be back if over this way.

Food was very good, however the toast was a little dry but nothing butter couldn’t solve. The crumble was lovely as it was sweet.

We are regulars here, everytime we come they are polite and welcoming. We can always get a table without booking. Food is always delicious, my 2 lads enjoy their meals everytime and can be picky eaters. Never waiting too long either. Highly recommend

Not sure if they is a new chef or owners we we use to go at least 3 times a week,staff are still fantastic, but the food is just not as good as it use to be the portions are a lot smaller and the steak I had the other day was full of grisel sadly it will be a while before we go back
