My partner and I came for breakfast this morning. Great food , only gripe was the eggs were a little snotty but it wasn't a big deal . Lovely sausage and bacon . Everything was provided and topped up as needed. Service was great. Toby Rotherham is always our go to Toby . We live in Sheffield but prefer this one to the one near us . Also the place was clean . Thanks for a lovely breakfast Toby !!

Was OK just the food was just luke warm when sat to eat it which was the only critisism.

My first time to the place and will never be back the food was that bad I wouldn't give it my dog but then again she wouldn't eat it also the beer is watered down

We booked a table when we were travelling there (20 mins from the venue). It was a good call as it was busy (it was a Friday afterall). The food was good and hearty as we expected at a Toby carvery. We all had the carvery meals and as it was half term, kids only paid a pound each for the main meal which was an absolute bargain. However, you do need to have an app or a Toby account (QR code) to activate that offer. Darren the carver was lovely and also very patient with our little one as he struggled to choose what meat for his meal. We all enjoyed our meat (pork, turkey and gammon between us but we didn't have the beef). Marie who looked after us was friendly and efficient. I was trying to figure out whether a 25% off the food bill or the £1 per kid main meal would work out cheaper for us and Marie was just very patient in explaining everything to us. Lovely dining experience. Food was as expected but the service was superb by both Marie and Darren. Thank you.

Great food just a shame there's no we're to sit so they leave u standing up for x amount of time while ur waiting for a table to become vacant but other than that everything else is fine...

Marie was lovely. Very attentive. Came and spoke made us feel really welcome. Slightly disappointed in the eggs and Yorkshire puddings being hard but everything else was lovely

I was here just recently with a couple of family members, and we loved it. The food was cooked perfectly and the service was fantastic. The only criticism I have is that we waited quite a while for glasses for drinks. Apart from that, fantastic time.

Service was 5/5 Marie the server couldn't do enough to help. I ordered scrambled eggs instead of fried eggs was no trouble at all. Food 4/5 the food is always good but the problem with it is it's always just warm but you expect this coming to a buffet. The scrambled eggs I ordered were great though and hot aswell. Atmosphere 4/5 this was only due to it been very quiet nothing to do with the staff or the venue it was just monday morning probably means it's quiet.

Although the food was lovely the amount of meat that was given to us was absolutely ridiculous. It wasn't enough for a child let alone an adult. It was cut as thin as wafer thin packeted meat from a supermarket. I have ate at you restaurant loads of times but because of the tight portions of meat I will not come again.

Had a lovely carvery. Great selection of meats and vegetables, the new sage & onion roast potatoes are delicious.

This location, all the staff we came across was so nice. We were between a long drive and their friendliness really perked us up. I think their positivity was rubbing off onto the customers too because they all seem friendly too. I actually sent a compliment into the website because we really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Poor service, not once did a server come to our area to check on us once we hwd been seated and had to to chase up to pay. Carvery didn't have any kids sausages ready so kids had to wait for it to be brought out later. Some veg items on carvery were only luke warm.

The staff here are always so friendly and go above and beyond to accommodate. Our waitress was amazing and spoke to us like we were old friends. The chef serving the carvery was absolutely lovely and helpful when we asked about different options. And the food is so reasonably priced, can’t fault it. (P.S. chocolate orange cake and custard is to die for)

I quite liked this Toby Carvery when it opened, but over time it's becoming more and more clear that the dishwasher BADLY needs a service, and the crockery needs replacing. The plates are badly worn, and have lost their glaze in places. However you might overlook the state of the glaze in the miraculous event that you find a clean one! The food is, as it always was, 'fine' but definitely nothing to rave about if you're used to decent home-cooked food. That's presuming you're lucky enough NOT to find a hair in yours...

Really disappointed with the 2 meals I've had here. First time wasn't great but gave them a 2nd shot as I've heard good things about the chain, however after today I won't be returning. Most of the food (apart from the meat) was extremely stale or burnt, the roast potatoes were as hard as a rock and super dry (if you threw them at someone you could do some damage!) The Yorkshire pudding was difficult to cut through and though to eat. After mentioning it to the waitress she said she will let us know when some fresh ones were out, a couple of minutes later we were brought some more stale food and told that's all they had and that they're all the same. Such a shame.

Terrible, place was absolutely manic. We queued 40 minutes justcto actually get to the carvery deck. I understand there had been an accident with a kitchen staff member which has my full sympathy but the situation was very badly handled and it would have been better to close the doors.

The usual good value portions of freshly cooked food, the only quibble I have is with the strange system of service

Jenny the server, and my Leoni, absolutely lovely. Waited in que with me, to get my vegetables quicker. Everything we needed they went above and beyond.. Had such a laugh With them as well. The staff make the resurant, I asked for more ice cream and look at the huge dollop I got. Vegan style. Love it will deffo be back x

When on Saturday you would think it was busy but the restaurant was empty. Food is clock cold my advice is to give the place a wide berth, the meat is cut so thin you would think it was cut with a razer blade looks more on your plate that way. The place was empty and I can now see why

I recently visited Toby Carvery in Rotherham, and I must say it was an excellent experience! The food was incredibly fresh, from the perfectly roasted meats to the wide variety of vegetables and garnishes. Everything tasted just like a homemade Sunday roast - Even though on a Monday😊 The restaurant itself was spotless, and the relaxing atmosphere made it a perfect place to enjoy a meal. What really stood out was how accommodating and friendly the staff were. They seemed genuinely happy to be there and were very attentive to all guests, going above and beyond. It's also worth noting how considerate they were about disabilities, understanding that not all are visible. This level of care made a real difference to our dining experience. This should be a benchmark for all Toby Carvery locations on how to deliver a great customer experience. Thank you and well done to the Rotherham team! Highly recommend. Booked a table for 5pm, taken straight through. Queued for carvery, turkey was beautiful, beef full of fat. Only vegetables were peas and carrots with some not very cheesey cauliflower cheese! What happened to the veg? Meal was very poor today and won't be returning anytime soon.

Being a regular customer to Toby Carvery, Rotherham I was a little upset. Normally the service and food is excellent, better than their close Toby rivals, however standards slipped today. First being sat at a dirty table and having to ask for a wipe before eating, secondly certain items of the food was burnt.. hopefully this isn’t becoming a sign of things to come. Come on Toby, Rotherham, let’s not let the standards slip please. Understand your busy, but everything is in the detail. 6/10.

Staff friendly, lovely cooked meats,good selection of veg and nice Yorkshire puddings and gravy. No Eton mess or meringue as needed light pudding.

We arrived at 6:45 wanted 10 mins to be even noticed to be told they were closing sections. Advertised time is open u til 10pm. This isn’t the first time we have been and turned away as there being only 2 of us should easily be accommodated even with a short wait.

Had a lovely catch up with a friend Marie our server was very attentive and the chef Terri made sure nothing was short on the deck

Just another great Toby Carvery with great food.

4 of us went to Toby today for Sunday lunch. It was absolutely rammed, which was understandable for a Sunday, but it was absolutely boiling in there and the poor staff were rushed off their feet. Myself and my boyfriend went off to get our carvery’s whilst his parents waited at the table as we didn’t want to leave our drinks and belongings unattended. We were served promptly, and the chef was polite. Once we sat back down and it was their turn, the queue had gotten ridiculously long and was winding through the restaurant. We found out that this was due to the chefs prioritising online delivery orders over people in the restaurant. The queue was at a standstill for quite some time, and myself and my boyfriend had eaten all most half of our carvery whilst his parents were still at the back of the queue. They decided not to order as it would take so long, and cancelled their carvery. Not only was this disappointing, the carvery was not great in itself. The meat and yorkshire were great, but the veggies were so hard and we had to scrape the bottom of the bowl to get any gravy! Wasn’t happy to find our bill was then over £40 for two carvery’s and drinks. Will not return, especially on a sunday!

Normally we go to the Dronfield/ Sheffield one. The Rotherham one was way much nicer. The veg tasted fresh and cooked better. Service was also good! 😊

Love Tobies. Usually use local one in Dodworth regularly. Been to this one before for family get togethers when in Rotherham and had no issues. Went today 21/09. 17 of us for a Birthday celebration. Really disappointed. Comments similar from majority of our party. Staff behind carvery looked miserable and 2 were arguing amongst themselves in front of customers about food / serving. Had to prompt staff for service at our tables, and to clear plates etc. Yorkies were chewy & not risen. Roasties were really hard, struggled to cut through, even with knife. Mash was really doughy and had to be scraped of serving spoon & could be stabbed with a fork n picked up in a lump. Veg was ok. Meat / gravy was spot on. Not what we have previously experienced when visiting any toby carvery establishments.

Absolutely brilliant service and atmosphere! The food was beaut! My 16month old loved his food aswel, even tho he got most all over the floor haha... Marie who served us was Absolutely a pleasure to be with, she's one worker who blends with everyone making sure everything is 100%.

Marie served us straight away from walking in the door. Showed us where everything was and we had a lovely breakfast cooked by Terri.

As I have a dairy allergy, I must recommend the staff for their service! They could not do enough for me! They even brought my plated meal to me!

My husband and I went for a carvery yesterday at 6pm, the place was busy but not overly. Whilst the waiting staff were very friendly there were only two waiting and taking drinks orders. We waited 15mins for our two drinks, we would have gone to the bar ourselves but nobody was serving at the bar.. the carvery was absolutely dire. The carver himself was miserable and oh so tight with meat portions. I was given such a small amount of meat and also my husband, which I couldn't understand as a fresh turkey and gammon had just come out. The two slivers of gammon I got were mainly fat and I was given a few scraps from the carving deck of what was clearly the old turkey. The roasties were rock hard, the mash was cold and lumpy, the veg had zero flavour whatsoever and the Yorkshire pudding tasted like grease! There was food strewn all over the carvery deck and on the floor that hadn't been cleaned up, which was just an unpleasant sight. And to top it all off the gravy was just about warm. It's the last time I'll be visiting Toby, by far the worst meal out I've had in a very long time. I left hungry and gave the food to my dog when I got home.

Our server Branden was phenomenal provided us with plenty of service as well as a kind attitude. Our carvery gave us a large portion and was kind again. Would come again.

I visited the carvery with a friend for breakfast this morning, couldn't fault it,the food was hot and cooked well. We were served by Marie who was polite and welcoming.

One of the carvers was extremely rude. Not sure if it was Janet or Marie. It was the brunette. I asked politely if my 9 Yr old could have an extra slice of Turkey as the only veg he likes is brocoli but there wasn't any. Her manner was rude and abrupt as she told me no, it's not your issue if he doesn't eat veg. I had paid 13.49 for 3 slices of turkey. Also my beef was practically all fat. I will not be returning.

Everything was great. Food was delicious as per, and, the driver was very pleasant and professional.

Came for breakfast with my husband, though the breakfast was lovely unfortunately I'm very pregnant and still suffering with the odd bout of morning sickness. I managed to get away from the building as much as possible knowing I couldn't make it to the facilities and didn't want to be sick in the pub so when I explained to the manager on duty (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name) what happened and offered to clean it she was more than lovely about this embarrassing situation for me, credit to her team!

Beautiful food as always, Leoni was very attentive without being intrusive. Janet our carver was very pleasant and warned us about hot spoons on the deck. Also made room for puddings which were also divine 🤤 very reasonably priced and low music so you can still have a conversation without shouting. Will definitely be back!

Had a lovely birthday meal here. The carvery was well stocked, lots of meat choices. Our waitress was lovely. So helpful. Advised on installing Toby app to get discount on meal. Very chatty and friendly, a good ambassador for this Toby.

We didn’t receive our sides of hash browned and there was no sauce in our brekkie wraps. Not impressed.
