Phenomenal real ale station pub with 18+ real ales, with Timothy Taylor's range being permanently on. A wide range of regional beers available in excellent condition. Staff attentive and welcoming adding to a wonderful Edwardian building. Worth calling in for a few hours or a drink before or after your train arrives. Cannot fault this place.

Perfect stop for a tipple at the train station (though rather like airport bars it is slightly on the expensive side). Great selection of cask ales, nice Victorian interior, and convenience by being in the train station, it’s a great spot!

If you are waiting for a train this is the place to wait! With a great selection of delicious pints York Tap top most pubs in York. The staff are lovely and are always ready to recommend beers when you're not sure what to order. Quite affordable and good atmosphere. Although, it is quite a bit out the way and I would only visit if I was getting the train.

One of York's best pubs. Situated on the railway platform, always bustling and busy with commuters. Vast range of handpulled cask beers. So much choice. I had Boltmaker, always a good drop. You wouldn't expect a pub of this calibre inside a train station. Yet, York Pub does with style. A vast collection of beers on tap, including many real ales. They also serve scotch eggs, which are an excellent railway snack. The place also looks gorgeous inside, and is well looked after. The service is also excellent. Being able to have a weekend out at York, then walk into a pub where you get real good beer as you wait, and then walk out onto the platform is peak streamlining of civilization. Every time I go through York Train Station I make a special effort to go in here for a pint. Been a real ale drinker it's like entering heaven. At least 15 real ales on handpump most of them small breweries and priced afordable. The staff behind the counter are all knowledgeable on real ale and very polite in answering in questions you want answers to on any subjects . Wednesday 10th July 2024 This great real ale pub on York Raiway Station always has at least 12 handpumped real ales on at any time over both its circular bars. It has a massive local and visitors for trains following There are at least 60 tables inside and 30 tables on the outdoor drinking area on York station platform. Altogether, at least 200 people can sit and drink this pubs beautiful well kept real ales at one time. This bar has to be one of the United Kingdoms top 5 real ale station bars😁😁😁 . .

I haven’t seen that many outside of one of their own pubs. Went for a Knowle Spring. Prices are great. A warm welcome to York if you’re up for a pint or two. Or a great send off from York. Lovely old part of original York Station, incidentally for a period of time a model railway layout as an a paid for attraction. I think originally built as the ‘tea rooms’ On my visit today fully appreciated the range of beers available, and my glass or two of stout was excellent and not always available in a number of establishments. Having just returned from a holiday in Kenya, sadly has reminded me that uk customer service could be a little more friendly, a maybe with a smile. Also don’t understand why empty bottles have to be thrown into a container with the resulting noise. Prices are a little on the high side, but this is sadly typical in all tourist cities. Having made my observations as a resident of York, yes, will return as this venue has a pleasant atmosphere and many original features from Victorian railway era.

A very attractive building with a circular central bar lined with handpumps. Outside covered seating on the platform side. Forty plus years ago it was said York has a pub for every day of the year. Tried my best to do them all. Many now gone but also lots of new places to drink. A great City to visit for many reasons. Jorvic is named after here, the old Viking city name. Not sure where Paulicarus gets his name. Only time for a very drinkable half of Helmsley brewery bitter. A new one to me.
