What an excellent meal out , the service was 5 star nothing too much trouble very very quick!! The food was delicious. The waitress was amazing sorry can’t remember her name (Sheila ) . A credit to your company .

Me and my partner arrived and were greeted by a lovely woman who instantly welcomed us .. we were seated and served with drinks while we chose what to eat .. Sheila then came back to take our order and made sure we had everything we needed once we had our food

Good value and customer service was great..not too much but attentive and cheery. The ambience of this Beefeater struck you as soon as you walked in and the hostess was considerate to where we were seated in the restaurant I.e. downstairs. Presentation of the food was clean,colourful and hot so well done! We passed two other Beefeaters to visit you…says it all.

We recently held a private function at The Woolpack and we were delighted with the service we received. Special mention to Jamie and Julien who were both extremely helpful during the initial stages of organising the function and helped provide guidance on menu options and quantities. OK, you are not getting a fine dining experience, but we really enjoyed our meal at the Woolpack. Although a chain pub, the dishes we had were perfectly acceptable, good ingredients, nicely cooked and well presented. Obviously a good range of drinks and a pleasant atmosphere. What made the meal for us was our waitress who was friendly and personable with the ability to build up a strong rapport with clients. (Can't remember her name but hubby drives for Wrens). Whitbread, she is an asset that you should treasure - and give a pay rise.

A busy restaurant, but staff very friendly and chatty. Great attitude, great service and excellent meal. Would go back again.

How disappointing! A lot of the mini was not available/ sold out. Poor choice from remainder of options. Not sure I would go back. Service was ok for a slow Monday evening service

Went to lunch with my family at the Woolpack and the service was exceptional!! We were not kept waiting very long and as soon as we sat down Sheila, who was our waitress, was unbelievable. So kind, helpful and warm. Really enthusiastic and always about to help with drinks etc. Would thoroughly recommend.

Service was acceptable they tried there hardest at such busy times orderd a double crunch chicken burger to which come out tasting of Colgate toothpaste an a half cooked chicken fillet I won’t be rushing back anytime soon

I eat at this Beefeater a couple of times whilst staying at the Premier Inn next door. It is well up to the standard I have come to expect from this chain. A comfortable bar area, and both dinner & breakfast were served by very polite staff, great service all round.

Lovely visit as usual. Shout out to Amber our waitress. She could see I wasn’t happy with the tale as sat under the stairs and was in a draft so she moved us to another table. Lovely young lady and good service.

Had a lovely family meal out, it’s always difficult when there are lots of people for dinner but Ellie our waitress was attentive and helpful. The staff at the Wolfpack are always very good when we visit as a large group.

We've been to this Beefeater on a number of occasions and have enjoyed the food. On our last visit the meal that my husband ordered was poor to say the least. We wouldn't order it again. We couldn't fault the service which is always great.

Had a family meal with children and grandchildren. The service was superb, nothing was too much trouble. Great with the grandkids. Food was hot, prompt and of excellent quality. There were 9 of us. Most had 3 courses.

Had a great lunch celebrating my 70th Birthday. All staff including Sam our waitress were first class.

This place is excellent. We go quite often and the staff are always amazing. We had a BIG table for our festive meal on the Saturday with a few changes to our choices for sensory issues, and nothing was too much trouble. It was a really busy night too. Our waitress was Laura, she was great. Everything was delicious (it always is) and piping hot. Portion sizes are always generous too. We all came back in the next morning for breakfast and again, everything delicious, piping hot and well portioned. There was some sort of issue between two tables nearby who decided to have an argument but it was dealt with quickly and professionally. Our waitress was Sheila who was funny and friendly and always makes us feel so welcome. Thank you, Beefeater staff.

Myself and my partner went to the beefeater at Hothfield for a Christmas Dinner, when we got it unfortunately it was only lukewarm so we call the waitress over who apologies,and took the. Dinner away,she came back a few minutes later with our Christmas Dinner which had been stuffed into a microwave mine was still only warm,and all the vegetables were stuck together,quite honestly I thought that we would have had a new plated dinner,once again to my embarrassment my partner called the waitress again who apologised again and said I will take it back,I said no don't bother,she then said can I give you a refund or would you like something different,I decided to have the Salmon which was really excellent and the potatoes 🥔 were piping hot I forgot to say that my starter was excellent so was my desert,but sorry to say that the Christmas roast was definitely a no no

The assistant managers and Waitress showed exemplary restraint when we witnessed them dealing with two separate tables of customers, the customers were rude, aggressive and disrespectful, they could be overheard commenting if they complain enough they would get a discount, the two tables played off each others complaint, the restaurant was extremely busy. The food was great as was the service as usual, strongly recommend this Beefeater, not everything goes right, inevitably things can go wrong when busy, but full marks to the staff that showed considerable restraint, Great Meal, Good Beer and Exceptional Service.

Excellent Christmas menu meal with friends . Always good but this was even better. Steak cooked as requested , Profiteroles wonderful. Great service from the Manager & Charlotte as always . Looking forward to visiting with more friends on Friday. Thank you! 😎

Table showed to was like being put where the disused furniture goes plus a full view of the kitchen bins. Large unused table behind two smaller tables, absolutley unacceptable. I moved and asked to check the table wasn't booked. This just spoilt my dinner. Dessert...

Restaurant was extremely busy and we even had trouble finding a parking space. Staff coped well though and our meal came out hot and was tasty. Even better, we had a voucher to use.

Staying away alone, went here for breakfast staffvery nice and very friendly, Sheila the waitress gave a lovely warm welcome and very friendly service pleased with the service.

We ordered 2 fish and chips and 2 chicken burger and chips for 4 of us and all 4 meal came with less a dozen chips. The restaurant was not busy at all and at £13 a meal you would expect a few more chips to fill the plate. The name is on the dish ‘ Fish & Chips’ it is only fair to have some chips with your fish. The taste was great and just need to add a few more chips to the plates.

Went to the woolpack with my friend today for lunch. We were greeted with a warm friendly welcome by Chris. The waitress Faye was lovely and attentive to my demanding requests. Steaks were cooked to perfection well done to you all x

We visited for breakfast which was hot and delicious but what struck us was how incredible the staff were!We left feeling like VIP’s! Everyone had a smile, was kind and thoughtful and truly went above snd beyond to make us feel special. They were rushed off their feet and yet still took the time to check in, add special touches, acknowledge us and the kids.I came away thinking what a credit the staff are! Brilliant, efficient, cheerful, attentive! Just incredible! We’re very grateful for being treated so kindly!

Friendly staff on arrival. Service was incredibly quick and food tasted amazing. Served by Shelia who gave the best customer service. Suffering from anxiety going out for meals and having to order food is really quite scary but Shelia was so lovely and made me feel at ease. 10 stars!! We hadn’t booked and managed to get a table for 6 with no problem although they were clearly booked up. Sheila was great and very attentive. Extremely good with the children ensuring they all had what they required- extra Yorkshire puddings of course!! :) xx

A shambles. One hour wait on food, some items out of sock (incl. Steaks lol), table not set correctly, items missing from order, trainee staff....pretty much your standard Beefeater these days.

Great service from all staff! Very caring and helpful!Decent continental selection: Bagels, Pancakes, Crumpets, selection of pastries, toast and juices, cereals, yoghurts. Lattes and cappuccinos. GREAT SELECTION!Cooked breakfast: You can order what ever amount you want from each option, scrambled eggs were spot on! Creamy and cooked properly!All the foods were of decent quality and flavour will definitely be coming back!!Special thank you to SHEILA who went above and beyond and gave my wife some of her own personal white galaxy hot chocolate!!

Booked into the premier Inn next door for 4 nights and this Inn was the choice of food on site. The Beefeeter chain has a good reputation for its steaks and grills and this was just that....great! ..Especially the T-bone (very rare on a menu now)....but there was many other options for non steak lovers. ...Premier Inn do a meal deal where you can have a 2course meal and drink from all the menu and a full breakfast in the morning for £25! The staff were very very friendly ...and (genuinely) apologetic when some of the meals were sold out! The food and service was that good we dined there on all 4 nights!.....A special mention to 2 of the staff Emma and Amber who we had great conversation with, sharing much laughter and fun and on the subject of Pluckly Britain's most haunted village!! They gave us many stories of the spooky kind and a recommendation to go have a look (but not at night..lol) We did just that and yes , even in daytime it was a bit surreal and very isolated! Thanks for that ladies!!!So if your looking to book a premier Inn in that area, ...this would be my recommendation ...great location, food and staff..all you expect right??

Breakfast this morning was lovely....great choice of continental and a cooked breakfast...choice of coffee's, teas and fruit juices too...all cooked freshly and piping hot and served by the lovely Amber...can't fault any of it and will definitely visit again.

This place serves good plain food. Nothing fancy but wholesome. Burgher was well cooked and free of fat. Very good onion rings. Chips were claimed to be double cooked but I was not so sure as there was no crispy outside. Deserts were good the double chocolate with ice cream delightful. Choice of wines and beers at reasonable prices.

We stayed at the hotel close by. I ordered a medium rare fillet steak which did not come cheap. I got a small cremated tough steak. I was not impressed. I do not recommend the steaks there.

Would recommend to anyone and will be coming back. Came in for a meal with 7 of my family. Ordered the mixed grill... Honestly no complaints. Food was perfect. Medium rare steak cooked to perfection. Very good first impression and it won't be my last.

I have had breakfast here for the past three mornings and i have to say i am really impressed with not only the food but the attitude of the staff so friendly helpful, they have made having breakfast a excellent experience. They have fussed my little girl and even delivered my bag back to my room when i left it in the resturant. Well done everyone great service.

We had soluch a lovley experience eating at the Beefeater for breakfast yesterday. Sheila was very accommodating, friendly and welcoming. Nothing seemed to much trouble, and she was so kind to our livley kids. The range and quality of food on offer at the buffet was great. The kids loved the toasted pancakes! The cooked breakfast was hot, plentiful and delicious also.

We have used this pub for the last 3 days and we haven’t had a bad meal and would definitely recommend the Woolpack. We were served this morning by shelia who was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the Premier Inn next door for three nights this week , and ate at the Woolpack each evening and breakfast The breakfast was very good , not the cheapest , but it is all you can eat and covers all options , but the full English is Bob on (me only grumble would be the black pudding could be better quality)And on breakfast , Sheila is superb . How anyone can be that bubbly that time in morning is beyond me . The evenings wee relaxed and good atmosphere , and service was excellent (sorry girls we didn't catch your names ) the maitre D / head waiter on /whateverjobtitle was very welcoming , helpful, cheery and chattyIf I'm thatbfar south again , we'll be back

Great service from Eden this morning on breakfast, nothing was too much of a hassle. The food was excellent and everyone was just sooo helpful. The covid protocols are excellent and we always felt safe.

We attended Beefeater Hothfield on Father’s Day as a treat for my dad. Sheila our host was amazing. She couldn’t have been more helpful and was very friendly and happy to join in with our jokes. Food was great and thoroughly enjoyed our roast dinner. Will definitely attend again soon and hope that we have the pleasure of Sheila serving us.

Breakfast at the Woolpack: kids eat free. Food excellent, service awesome, Sheila made everyone feel special. Price was outstanding value. We will be regulars

On Saturday 12th June, we booked a table for 4 outside at 6pm and had a wonderful evening thanks to James. He was very professional, courteous and his table manner second to none. We are very grateful to him and would very much like to go to Beefeater Woolpack again in the hope he will be there.

I like ribs and they were excellent! The rest of my party also enjoyed their meals. Staff were welcoming and attentive. No minuses.

We stayed at the Premier in for two nights and had breakfast here two mornings. The food was good and our waitress on the second morning, Sheila was great. She was so friendly, nothing was too much trouble for her.

Very disappointed with surf and turf. Paid £6 for 2 prawns and 2 small scallops. The calamari was just really batter. There were 4 calamari and 2 were just batter scraps. The steak was tasty but on the cusp of medium rare. 2 seconds more and it would be medium. Staff were lovely and the burger was great but the bun was too crispy. Obviously the chef over doing it today Would I visit again—— not sure to honest Very small portion and not cooked to how one would expect from Beefeater.

First time visiting since lockdown and was served by Laura. Lovely friendly lady that couldn’t do enough. Had a lovely fillet steak cooked to perfection. Will definitely be visiting again .

Chips soggy and oily. Gammon had no flavour. Mushrooms were bland. Not up to the usual standard in this restaurant.

The food was good and the value for money was great. The service was good. Sheila checked in with us every now and again to see if there was anything else we wanted. We weren't rushed. Today I went to the Woolpack for breakfast. We were served by Chris who was kind, patient, polite and went above and beyond. On Monday night I met with a friend for dinner. I have to admit, I am Probably one of the fussiest Fillet steak eaters ever. I don’t usually write reviews but I was taken back by the perfection of my steak, my friend had steak also. I had my steak cooked medium rare, my friend ordered hers rare. Both steaks came out cooked perfectly. Who ever cooked our steaks certainly know how to cook a steak .....to order! The service was fab also. COVID rules adhered to with very clear signs all Visibly upheld by all.Anyway..... back to the steaks..... amazing and we will be back for sure. Thanks beefeater....see you very soon.

Went on Saturday and again tonight. The food was AMAZING! Have had varied success with steaks in the past but the last two were incredible. Service is good, they take the restrictions very seriously which is really good

We decided to give Beefeater one last chance, as we went a few weeks ago to the Ashford beef eater by the cinema for lunch. The one by the Cinema really wasn’t great - food was really bland as was the service. We thought we would try the Woolpack Beefeater for breakfast as our last chance of using this brand. So glad we did!! Welcomed by Shelia!! Nothing was too much trouble, she was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed, even made our children (8 and 10 years old) feel grown up by letting them order their own breakfast starters, mains and desserts as they liked to call it. Shelia is a real asset to you and really cheered our morning up. We will only come to the Woolpack Beefeater now after having so many terrible experiences at the cinema one. It really is such a difference, and hopefully we will be lucky enough to be greeted and served by Shelia again! Thank you for changing our mind!!

Had a very nice family meal last night served by Becky. Service and food were excellent and we found really safe during our visit under the current situation which is being well managed.

Today we went for a little family meal to the beefeater woolpack in Ashford (18/10/2020). We visit here whenever we can and never had any problems. Today was an even better experience then we’ve ever had here. Our server was lovely and was really caring and thoughtful. She spoke to our children and made them feel really at ease especially as every server had a face shield which can seem really odd to young kids. She was smiley and really made an effort! She ensured everything was fine not just once but a few times! She even got involved and photobombed a picture! I can’t remember her name but she is a credit! Thank you for a lovely experience

There is something about this place that makes us keep wanting to come back. We have been very wary about eating out since lockdown but it seems that this is the place to go.Dom and his team have the covid19 safety down to a tee and all the staff are keyed up on everything. The food is great good value for money and have never had anything bad to eat. They are very strict on the whole party of six.The waitress was very attentive and explained how things were running and the service was great.Will definitely be back well done team Woolpack.

Having booked a 3 night stay at the premier inn next door, my husband and I decided to eat in the wool pack after a very long journey. The welcome and the staff were great and explained how our prepayment worked.Sadly that's where the good bit ended , the food was beyond awful, the smoked salmon was so bland that if I had been blindfolded I doubt I would have even known it was salmon. My husbands chicken wings were very chewy. Our mains both came with barely warm chips and a stone cold flat mushroom. My rib eye steak was tough as were 2 out of the 3 lamb chops my husband had.A lot of food was returned to the kitchen from other tables and the swearing match between 2 customers (not together) just added to this delightful evening .Unfortunately tomorrow night we are meeting family here and have prepaid ! Silly I know. I'm dreading it.We did complain and sent food back, totally no fault of our waitress,but nothing was knocked off our bill, my husband asked to see the manager to explain our dissatisfaction, she kindly knocked off £11. We just paid £50 for this delightful evening..let's see what tomorrow brings.... oh by the way the place was almost empty,so not like they were under pressure

We were looking for some quick eats on a Saturday afternoon and based on the trip-advisor reviews choose the Woolpack.Very obvious they'd implemented measures to "be safe" on arrival, and the welcome was warm as was the service throughout from the team.The three of us ordered and 10/15 mins later the food arrived.In many businesses consumers are protected by trading standards and although this is an opinion the food advertised, and described, had no resemblance at all to what we were all served.A cannelloni dish with flatbread, neither the pasta looked or tasted as it shouldn't appeared to have been microwaved. The flatbread was actually garlic bread (a single piece yet the menu showed two) Gammon was a poor cut, grizzle over cooked, it was tough The overall presentation and quality of all three dishes was disgusting, at any price and were bitterly disappointed. In times where local businesses are striving to survive, a corporate in Whitbread should be ashamed to be offering such poor quality
