Drinks only but friendly atmosphere quite busy

Group of five, all agreed draught largers were either flat/off, just didn't taste "right", we all ended up drinking Hurlemans as was a good tasting pint.

My son an I visited for lunch, the staff were friendly and accompanying, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very relaxed.

Great family pub. Come here with my partner and little one for lunch and the food is always great and served promptly. Bonus points for the garden which has ample seating and a little play area for the kids.

I had fish and chips there with one of my friends. I loved it. The food was very good. The waitress was very kind.

New head chef and you can definitely tell. Quality of the Sunday roast has massively improved. Would definitely recommend. Not tried anything else off the menu yet.

Although I don't often go here the eat and drink , I know this place is lovely. My recent food and drink experience was fab. The staff are always friendly and the pub itself is family friendly- hence its popularity! It is fab in the Summer with the garden outside.

Really helpful staff, found us a table for 6 including a wheelchair user on a busy sunday lunchtime. Couldn't have asked for better service. Food was great too - good variety on the menu and a good selection of ales on tap.

I've been round to this place a few times of an evening for food and I can't say anything bad about it, it feels very warm and welcoming when you arrive, there is plenty of parking outside and amble seating inside, granted I haven't been at peak time so I'm not sure how crowded it can get. I've always been served with a friendly smile and the food, albeit pub grub at the end of the day, it's presented very well, good prices and good quality ingredients to make a good meal all around.

at first, I was shocked to see the price of steak on a normal pub but after having the steak, realised why the price is similar to miller&carter….steak was perfectly cooked, nice service, nice ambiance!!! will visit again

The portions are large and tasty, the staff are helpful and friendly. The building is a nice old barn. I had Haddock and Chips and could hardly finish it all. It is a bit pricey though.

Good local pub, honest food and drinks. Run by Shepherd Neame so great if you like the Kentish brewery

I spent Xmas day here, which was pre-booked. I had never visited this pub before, The food was wonderful and the service was spot on, we were seated upstairs and it felt like we had to place to ourselves. I will definitely be back here again and I would highly recommend it for a pint and a bite to eat.

My partner and cousin booked here for a wake this week , the manager and staff were very helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to make our day so easy for us even putting the photos up , and the buffet food was amazing thank u so much

I haven't visdited the Barn for some years and I was mildly disappointed with its current style. The place is friendly enough and service is good. But the current menu is, I felt, rather limited and uninspiring.

Had a great dinner today with my family, very yummy food, great choices and staff are very kind.

Came down for a meal with the family, all booked, lovely looking pub although the food isn’t much to go by as they ran out of all mains! And the “manager” that was far from dressed like one barely looked old enough, as she introduced herself looked ‘high’ her eyes were red and could barely string a sentence imagine my surprise when I came to complain and she was drinking aswell, the other staff at the bar did their best to keep our spirits up. Unfortunately not an establishment for families. Will not return.

Some of the staff are really slow and seem like they are all in their own little world and make you feel unwelcome and unappreciated so customer service must be rectified. Also the food is below average for a venue of this stature which I expect it to be so much better. Drinks are way overpriced (more than some places in London) A beautiful venue may I add however needs some serious work doing on the front and second line.

Fantastic to find a dog friendly pub that serves great grub and had great service. I would suggest you book as they were very busy (unsurprisingly) when we arrived although they helped to find us a table. Have definitely added to my favourites list. And as an added bonus, they have EV super chargers onsite. Perfect

A Very good afternoon. Not regulars but felt welcome. The afternoon was ruined by the individual vaping by the door. Otherwise a lovely afternoon.

Not local to Ashford, and was looking for somewhere to get a pub lunch. I asked a friend who lives in Ashford and he recommended the Barn, we are very happy he did. It is a wonderful building with a very large garden. It seems to be a locals pub. But this did not make you feel unwelcome, was a nice atmosphere. With helpful bar staff. The food was fine as pub food goes. No complaints. We will definitely eat there again.

Also had the pleasure of a great rock cover band 'Resonate' great evening 👌

Drinks are a bit expensive there, but the interior always takes me. Had a nice, chilled evening with a few friends. Definitely recommend for the winter months, it will be a nice and cosy atmosphere!

Had a meal hère after my nieces wedding. My burger was raw in the middle only the outer edge was cooked. So i only ate the chips. So i looked forward to my pudding, which was also a disappointment. The crumble was overcooked and although it was stated that the crumble comes with clotted cream, it was squirty cream and it measured a teaspoon size, a very dry pudding and again disappointing! I did not complain at the time due to it being a meal after my nieces wedding. Did not want to put a dampner on this special day. I certainly will not be eating there in the future, although the pasta meal looked nice and the banoffi pie, i should have chosen this instead. The staff were lovely though.

It's a lovely pub with a great outdoor seating area. We decided to sit inside as it was a bit chilly and sat upstairs. The bar staff were very friendly and the food when it arrived was really nice. Will definitely come back

Food was disgusting (kids pizza £7 was 2 bits of soggy garlic bread heated in a microwave with pasta sauce and melted cheese) wouldn’t even feed it to the dog. Loaded fries not to bad but the food has gone down hill in the last few months

Was all going so well, until we wanted to order a pudding. The bar maid was quite rude when we went to place an order as the kitchen had closed. We are not local, we didn't know, this could have been said to us, when we ordered mains.

Such a very disappointing experience. I used to like this place in spite of the limited meat free options. Tonight was a massive disappointment, the "vegan" chicken breast was overcooked and cardboardy. Served with cold corn out of the tin. Revolting. And service, usually so good, was cold and borderline rude. I'll stop recommending the Barn.

Popular place for a drink or lazy afternoon in the sunshine. Kids love the outside play area and there's plenty of seating outdoors, including some under cover. There's plenty of seating indoors, which extends upstairs in the more formal dining area. Plenty of spaces in the car park outside

Great bustling local pub! Lots of outdoor seating and play parks. A wide selection of beers on tap!

Came here for a family meal and although the restaurant is beautiful, the same can't be said for the food. Some of the food was overcooked and my Ceasar Salad wasn't great. They also forgot to make one of the meals but in fairness they did take it off the bill. The mocktails were very disappointing too which was a real shame. The staff were really lovely but I don't think we'll be visiting again.

Fantastic place for leisurely drink in the sun....

A group of us went for a pre-lunch drink before Christmas dinner at home. The staff were amazing and especially kind to the teens in the group. If I lived in Ashford this most definitely would be my local - hands down. Thank you so very much.

Not a bad pub, turns in to a rather loud nightclub at the weekends so tend to avoid then.

Service was great, lovely young lady. Thumbs up to her. But the food was gross 🤢. The roast potatoes was hard and clearly been reheated. Cauliflower cheese was hard and in my opinion just put cheese on the chucked under grill to melt. Topside beef no way is was so chewey hope my dogs don't struggle to eat as cost do much I am taking it home. Never ever going back. 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

Catered for a party of 12 at short notice. Looked after our cake until after a christening and provided seating for 18 after. All friendly and helpful staff food was delicious and a nice play area for the children. Definitely recommend the Sunday roast.

Fab pub, dogs and children welcome ! Quiz night on a Sunday. Delicious food and really friendly staff. Bands in the summer and numerous community charity events. Everyone's favourite local.

Went for a few drinks at singleton Barn haven’t been in a few years, didn’t know what to chose, as I’m very indecisive when it comes to a good menu, but the waitress at the bar, was very helpful in helping us choose our mains and desserts, she also made us some lovely espresso martini’s to go with. Recently me and my dad went to singleton barn for a drink.Shirley was very welcoming and always remembers what we drink, but always asks to make sure we don't change our mind. Also Shirley's service never changes.

Everytime my sister visits me she asks to come here. It is local and rhe staff are friendly.

I hadn't visited for 9 years but this was a very good surprise. We attended between 12.45 and 2pm, not over busy which was nice. We live locally and dont tend to stay local however this was worth it. Very good staff and service. Food portions large, burgers excellent, fish n chips large and filling, sunday roast very good and ale pie tasty. All in all good experience and good price for five.

Packed to the rafters and with far too many damp dogs, even though on leads, they still had far too much roaming around space while we were trying to enjoy some food (bowl of chips as a warmer up). The baby was like a magnet to them and had to push them back. Make a choice please, either pub with rowdy footie or a place with restaurant facilities. Oh and why have a kitchen that ferries food out past the toilets? Terrible layout.

Very busy pub the beers are great & food is very good,it has a beer garden and there plenty of parking I had a nice day here can't beat it

We went with family and friends to have pre Christmas dinner drink, the Barn was warm and welcoming, the manager greeting us at the door. The guy behind the bar was extremely helpful and cheerful, as were the other staff. There was a great family atmosphere in the Barn and we all had a good time. Thank you for serving us so well on Christmas Day and working so hard to make a very pleasurable experience.

I have never been disappointed with the food until today. The risotto was so dry and the prawns were burnt. My granddaughters burger was so dry from being over cooked - and the bun was hard. If you know you are going to be busy it may help if you hire more staff - big disappointment and I won’t be back for a while despite living in the area.

Great food and excellent service

Lovely hospitality in this lovely converted Tithe barn local. We were made very welcome when we stopped off here in our motorhome to watch the world cup. Good beer and nice food all served with a smile .Thank you.

It was absolutely heaving as the England vs Iran World Cup match was on. However, the service from the young lady that served us was fantastic. We chose fish & chips and a steak & ale pie with mash and vegetables. Despite being busy, we did not have to wait long for lunch and it was superb 👌🏻

Although I like this place, and have to emphasise that the Staff are all lovely, the food we just had was terrible. Over £30 and really was a letdown. Should be better!

I booked a table for myself, my partner and my toddler for a Sunday roast at 2:30 which was easy and quick to do. We arrived for our meal and our drinks where ordered as soon as we sat down, around half an hour later...

Went for a night out with the crew of the Eureka Park mcdonalds and the place is nice, it has a karaoke setup which is fun and the drinks arnt that expensive

Slow service. Burger sauce on the kids burger, how mamy young kids eat burger sauce!! Too much cheese on the kids macaroni, huge block of melted cheese all clumped together, not very appetising. The best thing is the kids play area at the back.

Meal was awful. £60 for a burnt kids burger, canned meatballs for another kids meal.... the adults burgers were so big they tasted of nothing.... staff forgot to order some of our order .... staff not helpful in regards to where to a sit (we had reserved table) If you want a nice meal i would suggest elsewhere

Decent local pub with standard Shepherd Neame selection of drinks and food. The staff are really good, it’s dog friendly, there’s plenty of space inside & out and a climbing frame for the kids.
