Got to say the toastie they make are boarding on magically... crispy and tasty.

The place is one of my favs in Thame, the atmosphere the modern clean shop and friendly staff and service. But the standout is the food I love the Pear and choc cake with a lovely coffee. You can really taste the difference in food and coffee from your Franchise coffee shops. I also love the avocado toast and scrambled eggs. Lovely to see independents thriving in Thame.

My first visit, and pleased to have "found" it. It is simply good at what it does. Will be visiting again soon.

Lovely to see that not only they put a lot of effort in making their food,but also their coffee! Visited on a Friday morning for breakfast, lovely atmosphere , service and products! If you find yourself in Thame this is the only place to go hands down.

Clean and tidy with friendly and helpful staff. Tea is good. Cakes are delicious though a bigger portion will make it perfect. Pricing is slightly on the high side.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this place yet! We try to come at least once a week for the company, the food and the atmosphere! The food and coffee are delicious and consistently so. We always get two slices of the olive oil pistachio cake and my hubby always has the scrambled eggs on toast with a side of avocado … but everything we’ve had here has been wonderful. We’ll keep coming back as much as possible! 🧡😊

My preferred stop in Thame when cycling in the area. Great service, great cake selection though we went savoury with the cheese/ham crosissant - hot on delivery and excellent coffee. Would come again.

Avoid if you have a pram because they “must be kept with you, we don’t want them everywhere for people to trip up”. Despite us being the only pram, and there being limited space for a pram in the cafe area, the woman behind the till today(a random Wednesday lunch time) was not happy for us to tuck it to one side in the main foyer where there was ample space, whilst we ate. It would have most certainly been in the way and potentially tripped upon if we put it in the cafe area where we were offered to sit. Most unaccommodating abrupt experience I’ve had in the 8 months with my child.

We used to love coming to your cafe. We came along for coffee sometimes and sometimes lunch. A couple months ago we came in and were told we cannot sit in if we only want a coffee.. you lost us as customers for a few months as we spent money in your cafe and we got turned away. Very sad My partner came in the other day with our baby and overheard someone tell another customer 'if your dog makes noise you'll have to leave'... Bit awkward when my partner is day there with the baby, she then felt very uncomfortable. Such a shame as we used to love your cafe, fantastic drinks and food but the attitude we have received is very off-putting unfortunately. I hope you take these comments seriously to save you losing more customers.

First visit, excellent food and coffee

Had the tuna melt, and a mocha. The toastie was perfect, good amount of filling on sour dough bread. Will be back for more.

I'm really upset to have to leave a negative review after what I have so far experienced over the last couple of weeks since moving to Thame of this being a really nice cafe. This morning I went in with my two young children and ordered a flat white for myself and a cup of oat milk for my daughter who has severe allergies to cow's milk, eggs and nuts. I could only see lovely freshly made cakes on the counter, so I assumed (as is the same with the majority of cafes) that they would be unable to provide any safe food for my daughter. I had a couple of child snacks in my bag, so when they said they were hungry, I gave them to them. It helped to keep the cafe a peaceful place, as they would have been likely to struggle to stay calm without any food. A waitress shortly came over and told me that the rule is that you can't eat any other food if it hasn't been bought from the cafe. I politely responded explaining that I understood their reason for the rule, but explained about the allergies. Instead of showing much in the way of sympathy, despite me clearly being close to tears about the situation, she said well just don't get any food out then. When I asked if they had any prepackaged food such as crisps that I could get for them, her response was 'we only do natural food here', making me feel even more judged and unwelcome. I was really disappointed to be made to feel so alienated and am really sad not to be able to recommend this cafe any more, due to this rather shocking way of handling the situation. Allergies are very difficult to cope with and I am just trying my best to keep my daughter safe.

I’m writing to you with disappointment with the service we have received at our visit this morning. Myself and partner visit for breakfast most Friday mornings. We arrive and get placed on any table available. We both order a hot breakfast and coffee whilst we catch up child free and do a little admin on our laptops. Today, only 20 minutes after I finished my breakfast, a member of staff asked us to leave because we taking space in the restaurant and there was a queue outside. I’m am utterly dumbfounded that after spending nearly £40 (most Friday mornings) to have been asked to leave, mearly because we had our laptops open. We were only planning on staying another 30 or so minutes to enjoy our child free morning and was likely to order another coffee. But after being hurried out of the door, I’m pretty glad we didn’t. What a terrible service. It’s not like we were sitting there all morning enjoying a free office, we actually enjoying some undisturbed online shopping whilst letting our breakfast go down. Last week, whilst out breakfast we got asked to move to a smaller table as a family of 3 had walked in requesting a table. We of course moved but afterwards, I have to say, I was disappointed that I had to move whilst having a mouthful of scrambled egg. Sadly, your lovely artisan coffeehouse which has, on the exterior is trying to provide a lovely relaxed vibe; has really put me off coming back due to the terrible service. I’m shocked to have been asked to leave. If I wanted a fast food service, I would have gone to MacDonalds. The right thing to do, would ask the people in the queue if they wanted a take away option as currently there are no tables available. I’m saddened by this service and that my partner and I now have to look for somewhere else to enjoy our morning.

I only popped in for a coffee, so I can't comment on the food, apart from saying that it's quite expensive, but looks really good. Friendly staff who are happy to chat when free. I had my usual cappuccino - it comes in a smaller then average cup, but this does me because the amount of coffee is the same, it's just the amount of milk that's reduced; when coffee has such a non-acidic taste, and a medium to light roast like the beans they serve, its better to have less milk as it brings the luscious flavours out. There's a real sense of love in this cafe - a sense of curation to the objects and curiosities in the rather small room; many of which are for sale. They tend to sell items for the home which are at the top end of my price range, although the reductions in the sale are generous. By the till they sell unusual artisan bags of coffee - if you're in Thame and you don't fancy Waitrose, it's a great place to find some great quality brands that you won't find anywhere else around here.

The coffee is excellent. Highly recommended if you are in Thame. Worth the trip if you are in the general area. I made the trip from Milton Common most mornings for a flat white.

I have never had a bad experience here, the staff are pleasant, the coffee is amazing and there is a great range of organic cakes. But if you like good coffee it’s the place to come.

Delicious food & coffee! They never miss a beat at Woodworks. Excellent local produce used on the menu. The decor is tastefully done and feels cosy inside, the staff are always helpful and friendly; One of those gems of a cafe, where you can tell the staff and leadership are genuinely trying to make your experience a top one - and they’re really pulling it off! I’ve visited twice with the dog, and they’re fine with dogs; but please bear in mind space is limited, so as always when you’re a dog owner - don’t take the dog somewhere when it’s a busy time.

Nice to see an independent doing well. Nice coffee if a little pricey but I guess that’s the price when they pay taxes unlike other big corporation coffee houses.

Nice friendly staff, lemon drizzle cake was a bit stoggy and heavy but still quite nice but have had a lot better and would not have here again if I went.

Such a shame, this place used to be so friendly, went today and made to feel unwelcome as I had a dog. Food was excellent but delivered in silence, no asking if I wanted anything else. I wanted brown sauce but no one to ask. Said thank you and goodbye on way out, more silence. Overall pretty awful experience and sadly I won’t be returning.

We went in for brunch with our three year old. Food was fantastic. Staff very welcoming and felt family friendly. We had the banana pancakes, scrambled eggs and would recommend both. Also tried one of the juices which was delicious. We have just moved to the area and will definitely be visiting frequently!

Called into this cafe for coffee and something to eat whilst in Thame last week with a friend. Very friendly welcome when we entered and good news that they also allow dogs into the cafe too. Good table service, ordered our coffees and also Cheddar and Tomato toasties. Beautifully presented coffees and food and both were delicious and tasty, full of flavour. Seating area is light and spacious with good space between tables, extensive choice of food on the menu, lovely calm atmosphere, perfect place for a drink, food and a catch up!

First time my wife and I have visited this cafe after a disappointing experience trying to get a table at the Black Goo. The coffee was sensational and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Love this place, great atmosphere and service. Will definitely return.

Have always loved this cafe. Great staff and food.

The door was closed so I entered and saw a customer being served. A staff member emerged to open the door and said "one in, one out at the moment" in an abrupt manner. I took the hint and went back outside. There was a small sign which read "one family bubble at at time" so I was wrong to enter. I waited until the customer had left before ordering a large cappuccino. I was served a small coffee, perhaps they don't do large. The cashier typed something into a card machine and silently pushed it toward me. I had to peer into the screen to see the cost (£3). I put a lid on my coffee before leaving.Small things add up to a whole. I felt unwelcome, perhaps I didn't fit in with their preferred demographic. This place has potential to be great and they seem to sell good things. A change in outlook would go down well.

Brilliant coffee, the best in Thame by a country mile. And made by the nicest people in the nicest place. Has been a daily outing that has helped keep us sane over the last year.

Lovely food and friendly service. The food didn't last long enough to take a picture! Definitely worth the extra walk to get here, it's slightly out of the way compared to the rest of the cafés and shops in Thame but will be back!!

During the pandemic have been using this place to pick up our coffees and cakes. Good food. Nice location, just opposite the memorial park. Offered a takeaway service in the previous lockdowns.

Lovely coffee, a good choice of cakes and a really nice menu but so expensive! Such a shame, but think their market is aimed at the higher earners in society.

This place is very special. Lovely people with a great, positive attitude. Very well organized for COVID which made us feel very comfortable. The best food - fresh, local, real food. Coffee fabulous. And my favorite- BEST scramble eggs onthe planet. Try the Tamira mushrooms and avocado on sough dough. We really do need independent establishments like this.

Excellent coffee, a good selection of cakes, cooked food available as well (e.g. eggs on toast). I got a takeaway, so can't comment much on the interior, but seems very pleasant. The pistachio and olive oil cake is amazing. The cakes are a bit pricey though, even by fancy coffee shop standards.

Good coffee good cake but staff was very rude. Told us to leave as they needed the table. We were a party of 6 at a 6 seater table. They wanted the table for a party of 3. Moaned when one of our friends wanted to order a sandwich at 1420 and the kitchen closes at 1430

I found some of the staff here quite unfriendly – perhaps because my friend and I visited with a baby and toddler, I'm not sure. But we didn't feel especially welcome. Nice tea and coffee though.

Phenomenal coffee, cakes, atmosphere and staff. The Pasteis de Nata are to die for, seriously, try one! Everything is ethically sourced and considered, combined with an outstanding staff you cannot go wrong with Woodworks. Highly recommend.

It was a hot day but no diet drinks, ‘we only have natural things’ which leaves no choice for diabetics. ‘Well that’s how I (the owner) like it’. No concern that this left no choices for her customers. 3 pieces of cake, 2 teas and an iced coffee £20 +.

I am SO glad they opened up their hatch for takeaway service! The Brie, Ham and Mushroom melt is the nicest thing I have eaten for ages. It's a bit greasy because of the melted cheese but it didn't affect the taste at all. The banana bread is also very impressive, in size and flavour. Their coffee is very nice too, hot or cold. Staff always friendly and doing their best in these very weird times to make sure everything is safe

So glad I discovered this place!

We waited a very long time for our coffees (if we had not paid in advance we would have left). There was no choice of seating - just a small space on one side of a big table occupied by people using laptops. Full marks for the excellent coffee, but service and ambience disappointing.

Best coffee in the area. The owner is often in the shop and the service from everyone is really nice. Lovely cute coffee shop, very relaxing to have a coffee and they have some really nice food as well!

We had a fab breakfast at this lovely coffee house... and returned later in the day to shelter from the rain, drink coffee and eat cake :) A great welcome, delicious food, fantastic coffee and an interesting, arty space. Wonderful!

In many ways this is a good cafe: nice place to sit, good service and decent quality food. However, the prices are shockingly high for small portions and also for small slices of cake. Two of us had a light breakfast with black coffee for almost £25. The cake is also bought in, so not homemade, and again rather overpriced. There is a deli / cafe with better quality food (particularly if you want slices of homemade cake) barely 100 yards away, so it’s worth considering alternatives.

While I felt a bit like a solitary male extra in an episode of Motherland when I popped in for lunch today, I'm really glad that I did! Staff, food and ambience all really excellent and I'll certainly be back. Many more times hopefully.

Bought a latte today. Much different than usual. Served in a smaller eco container at £2.90. Was smooth and had a good milk/coffee ratio. Fancied a cake but was put off by the shocking pricing (For £4.80 a cake, I'll go to Switzerland).

I visited for the first time today as my friend has told me how lovely it was. The vibe was gorgeous, the decor so stylish, really really good coffee and cake to die for (especially pistachio and olive oil, you must try). I especially love that my dog was welcome too... Great mix of individuals, couples (with and without dogs) and young families. It was spot on and I'll be visiting again very soon I'm sure!

Cool interior, good food and friendly staff.

We regularly visit this beautiful minimal stylish cafe for vegan chocolate cake and hot drinks.They're always super friendly to my kids and us.It's a refreshing contemporary cafe and has lovely wooden gifts, soaps etc.We always recommend to friends now. We haven't tried their savoury foods but will soon.They even do take out if you want to sit/play in the lovely gardens with pond opposite the cafe.

Its small, unpretentious, friendly, vegan oriented and an antidote to chains like Starbucks.It can be noisy and it’s lack of space doesn’t help but these are minor issues.Oh and the food is very high quality and wholesome - the soups are great and a meal in themselves.Oh and the cakes are also extremely hard to ignore.

Amongst the plethora of ubiquitous full English breakfast eateries, the Woodworks shines in this glorious market town. Healthy yet filling dishes accompanied by great coffee and fresh leaf tea. Fresh Juices. Proper cakes! Amazing staff and beautiful old building with a chic modern twist. Hard to believe you are not in Notting Hill sitting here were it not for the view of the Cotswold Stone wall and trees beyond. Goes to show how good British can be with a focus on good food and love of people.Thank you.

Popped in here with an old friend for coffee & lunch & a gossip. Lovely coffee, yummy salmon & Avocado open sandwich... friendly service and a good feel about the place. I’ll be going back there again. !!
