Criston was very attentive on our visit to the Woodside greeneking pub and made it an absolute pleasure! One of our final summer evening was made more enjoyable due to his infectious smile and passion for the job, keep up the great work. If only there were more Cristons in the world :)

Was left feeling very disappointed I booked a table for me and my family to watch the England euro quarter finals and was sent confirmation to confirm this We arrived to be told we have no booking the place was packed there was nowhere to stand or sit so we went back home

10 of us just turned up without booking and got seated straight away.food came out all together for all of us,was piping hot and absolutely beautiful.service was brilliant cant fault a single thing.a lovely lady called Karen and another girl brought our food out Karen checked back to make sure everything was OK perfect food perfect customer service will definitely come back

went to watch the england game.it was very busy and the place had a lovely atmosphere.we stayed for 3 hours had great hot food which didnt take long and was good value for money.would recomend to everyone.well done.

Came in here with my family around 630pm order on the app food starters was ok around 30 mins wait then drinks took ages to come out and the food was other half a long time to wait with a crying baby. So far the worst green king pub experience won’t be coming back.

Absolutely appalling the prices have gone up again can charge 6.25 for some pints but can’t be arsed to fix the leaking roof for months. What a way to suck every penny out of your customer’s possible disgusting I won’t be going in again, much rather give my money else where not to this monopoly like company!!!

Ordered food and drinks via the app at 6.38pm. We appreciate it was busy but there was a steady flow at the bar and we had to ask numerous times for drinks which finally arrived at 7.23pm. Some food came out a little bit after but not everything. We asked where our order was and were told “we’re busy”, “your table is next” only for three more tables to come out, and then finally “5 minutes”… we left 10 minutes after that, still no sign of the food. What made the whole evening even worse is that it was for a birthday meal. Incredibly disappointed with the service times and the customer service we were given.

Went for Sunday lunch yesterday and had a beef and turkey dinner, the beef was a bit overcooked but the turkey, roast potatoes and gravy were absolutely delicious. Beth was great also. Will 100% come again.

Lovely place, food was really nice and decently priced with the senior/lunch/kids menus. Everyone enjoyed it - really good service at the till and as always Karen was a delight serving us at the table - definitely recommend as a family (and dog) friendly pub

Nipped in for a quick pint and a burger in the afternoon. Food came out very quickly and was absolutely delicious. We were served by a lovely lady called Karen who tended to our every need.

We had a turkey roast. The food was nice and filling. I was disappointed with the Yorkshire pudding which was too tough. Otherwise I found the food and atmosphere very enjoyable 😉

The pub itself is very warm and welcoming, the food is excellent and value for money. The staff are extremely friendly and polite, a special mention must go to 2 members of staff in particular, Will and Ellie are always polite and professional and a credit to the pub and brewery.

Karen our waitress was lovely! Kid friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious! We both had the mix grill was splendid!

I visit the Woodside alot and have never had a bad meal yet however today I was a bit disappointed as the gammon and chips I had ordered was rather greasy, I had to use a serviette to mop the grease up. I then ordered the apple and blackberry crumble pie, absolutely gorgeous with custard, I then found a black hair in the middle of it, very disappointed.

I came with my family for a meal and I ordered the katsu curry and it was amazing. We were served by Chloe and she was so lovely and told us her opinions on her favourite meals which we were all impressed with when we ordered them. We will be returning soon

me and a few friends came in for the quiz we were greeted at the bar by ellie who was so happy and polite made us feel very welcome, we ordered the katsu and some small plates. A lovely waitress called chloe brought us our food and was so delightful and a pleasure to speak to.

New to area and was out for a walk and decided to pop in. The cask ales were excellent. Had a sirloin steak and it was decent enough. Nice relaxed real pub atmosphere too. Very friendly staff. Will be coming again, especially to watch the Six Nations 👍

Tried the beef sunday lunch today. Wont be back I'm afraid to say. Average sunday roast that is over priced. Seems to be a standard chain pub offering based on the freezer. Whilst waiting I thought the new outside space was amazing, it's a shame the food didn't reach this. Sorry to say I wont be back.

Very good setup since the return of pubs after third lockdown. Garden has had beautiful refurb and great if have kids or just with friends. Sunday dinner was value for money and service of staff was exceptional.

Visited today, was seated in the new outside area, which is lovely!! I expected there to be abit of a wait for drinks and food however both turned up in good time didn’t have to wait long at all! Great service & all social distancing rules were adhered too, will definitely be visiting again! Thank you!!

Visited for the first time this evening since the re-opening. The outside area with heaters etc is absolutely amazing. We ordered food which was served promptly, as were the drinks - especially considering all tables were full. Food was hot and tasty, reasonably priced. Staff were all very friendly, informative and explained the Covid rules clearly. Will definitely be returning soon! Thanks for a lovely evening.

Visited as a group of 4 . Firstly the area outside is nice . And did appreciate would be busy after reopening but waited 50 minutes for 4 drinks which arrived after we had all our finished food . Never had drinks arrive after food anywhere ever. Also the drinks order was wrong apparently didn’t have what we ordered but were not told this just brought an alternative . Couldn’t be bothered to change them at this point . The food portion was tiny like a child’s meal and not very nice . Don’t think COVID situation is an excuse for rubbish overpriced food .

We really enjoyed our time at the woody tonight, the staff were fantastic, all welcoming and friendly, the outside heated eating area has a great atmosphere, and looks so cool, they have managed to retain that friendly pub feeling whisky being outside, would highly recommend a meal here, the food was scrumptious!! Can’t wait to return!! 10 out of 10!!!

We had the most wonderful dinner for christmas. I would like to thank the chefs. I Would also like to thanK the 4 staff that looked after us. Charlotte Luke Carl and Gemma. Popped in today with my Mum for a Christmas lunch, the table was set up lovely and the staff where so nice and cheerful, Mum was a bit worried about going out as she has been shielding but everything was set out so well for social distancing and very clean.When our food came out it was lovely and hot and good size portions. Another lovely meal at the Woodside. The staff were delightful they couldn't do enough for us. I am so impressed with their Covid safety measures. They follow the guidelines to the letter, as someone who has lost a parent to Covid, I felt safe and proud to call the Woodside my local. Look out for the Elves on the Shelf in the Woodside they have placed in humorous scenarios.

Treated my other half to the Christmas menu tonight was absolutely lovely, we were both stuffed.Defenitly recommend if your wanting to get in the Christmas spirit. Staff we so helpful and friendly. The pub it's self was decorated beautifully. Thoroughly enjoyed and we’ll be back.

I have visited this pub many times and have always had a great experience. This is the first time I have been here since lockdown and I must say what a fantastic job Gemma and the team are doing. We felt safe throughout the visit the host checked with us about track and trace and explained all the regulations and distancing, the app was offered but we preferred table service. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was served promptly, was hot and very tasty. We will definitely recommend this pub to our friends and family, very safe and fantastic service.

Social distancing is hard for everyone, especially people on the pub trade. This is not the case at The Woodside, for Bar Manager Gemma and her Team it’s second nature. Everywhere is properly set out and the staff are happy to assist if anyone isn’t sure what to do. It’s a clean, friendly and pleasant environment to be in, nothing is too much trouble. The food was so great, speedy service and piping hot plentiful meals. The new menu has some really different and lovely things on it, I highly recommend the Korean Chicken, tasty and good value for money. The chefs are some of the best I’ve known, always so accommodating and happy to see you. Thanks Woodside. You’ve got it dead right!

We have just been for a meal, I had the steak pie which was massive a divine!! Hubby had the steak which was cooked perfectly. All safety measures well sign posted and all staff in PPE. Would highly reccomend.

Just ordered a takeaway meal as we decided not to visit pubs etc while this virus is around we chose the signature hunters chicken it was fantastic very nicely cooked and a good sized meal it was possibley the best takeaway we have had for a long time and we definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a great takeaway meal.

We had a lovely family lunch. The food was great, the staff friendly and measures put in place go far beyond. The restaurant has put measures in place to both protect the customers and staff. I think other restaurants can learn from this restaurant.

Visited last night 12/08/20 for a meal.The table was booked for 19.30.Everything was explained on our arrival and we were shown to our table.Social distancing was none existent.We ordered our food and 19.40 and eventually got our food at 21.05 and even then we had to ask for cutlery as the waitress couldn't remember that it was needed.Would I go again? Not sure.Would I recommend? Probably not

Went out for lunch today with a friend who has been shielding and not been out since March. I can not recommend The Woodside high enough for not only their gorgeous food but for their extremely high standards of cleaning and social distancing procedures in place. She felt extremely safe and we have already set another date to go back.

After a day at queen's Park I thought I would treat my son to tea, wish I'd never bothered.We both had the sharing platter to start, for the mains I had the tikka and my son had the gammon.What puzzled me is why bring out our mains with the starter, I explained to the waitress that we weren't ready for our mains until after we had finished our starter, she was very apologetic and said she would put them under the heater to which I refused as the food would be dried up.She took the food back and told the kitchen staff, starters finished plates cleared.After about 10 minutes out came the mains with the reassurance of freshly cooked meals, now having working in the catering industry I knew this was a lie.My tikka was just luke warm, my son's chips were rock hard peas cold, the gammon had a vile taste the only food that was done fresh was his eggs.My advice stay well away and don't waste your money here.

The staff have clearly been well trained on how to provide a good service after being shut for weeks. Have been for food twice since re-opening. Excellent service, very friendly and happy to help. Felt very safe, couldn't recommend more!

Had a really lovely time at the Woodside. It was great to come to a pub where social distancing is being adhered to and monitored by staff, yet the atmosphere still felt like my local as it was before. Food was great, all servers were really friendly and couldn’t do enough - really impressed considering the adaptations to their roles. Will definitely be back!

The first time we’ve been out as a family since the restaurants have been allowed to open and it was a disappointing experience. Staff were friendly, but be often felt we’d been forgotten about - waited a long time for drinks to be brought to our table, drinks forgotten about etc. It’s understandable that everything is different now, but there was a lot of young staff who appeared to need more training in service. Stood in a queue at the bar to be told 3/4 of meals we wanted to order weren’t available which is fine but would’ve been nice to know before we’d decided what we’d like and stood in a queue to order. Steak was tough, but the other three mains were enjoyable. We probably won’t visit again, but it would be nice to see our feedback being taken on board.

Visited the Woodside for the first time after they reopened, naturally there was some apprehension about visiting a pub during the current climate but I have to say that from arrival, the pub and the staff were reassuring and you could see that they had gone to great lengths to keep everyone safe! Some aspects were strange but that wasn’t the pubs fault,A coupe of groups of people were not adhering to the rules and I was impressed how quickly the manageress and her staff stepped in to remind these people of the policies,Hopefully things will be back to normal soon but in the meantime keep up the good work and nice to see you back!!

We ordered from the Woodside prior to the pub reopening and the food was fabulous. We ordered on Friday the 10th of July and were so disappointed. My burger bun was rock hard, my husband said his meal had little taste. I had a small surgical procedure so my husband wanted to treat me to a takeout of my choice. The food was so tasty last time so I asked for food from the Woodside. I ordered the same thing as last time, hence my disappointment as I know how good the food can be. I can only assume it's due to the pub reopening and they were overwhelmed on Friday night.

First time visit since lockdown with my family, needed to get the family out and booked it as a treat. When we arrived the signs were everywhere! Found it confusing at first as some of the floor signs pointed in all directions, clearly someone has messed about with them. You are now required to enter via the side door and leave through what was the original entrance. There is hand sanitiser stations floor markings to apply social distancing and restrictions on how many can stand at the bar (3) at any given time. Ordering of food is still at the bar which has a protective shield where you order, once ordered everything is brought to your table.It is clear to see there has been a lot of thought and hard work gone into making it a safe environment for people to socialise safely applying social distancing, the staff work hard in bringing orders out. The food was ok in general and it was nice to relax with the family. I had two issues whilst I was there, I was having a conversation with a friend I saw in there on another table I was stood talking to them asking how they were doing when I was told I could do that and needed to sit down. Even though I was applying social distancing this is not acceptable apparently, i even said I was applying social distancing but I was told I would get the pub closed down! I returned to my table as requested. Upon leaving I was saying my goodbyes to my friend when the same person came round the corner and shouted oh come on at me throwing her head back. I was appalled by her attitude but chose to say nothing, I left and will not be returning anytime soon. This will not be a social environment for people to come to if this is how it operates, social distancing is a common sense approach and I don’t think common sense has been applied and it makes for a stale atmosphere.Social distancing is difficult, I appreciate every effort is made by the establishment in order to operate safely. I can understand the restrictions but an element of common sense is always needed. I have one question to the owners that may read this.Who is in the wrong?A family dining applying social distancing whilst socialising with friends they happen to see ? A group of 6 lads enjoying a pint all sat around one garden bench clearly not from the same family and not applying social distancing?

First time back since the lockdown, all very well managed and plenty of social distancing. Table service through the app is very quick and easy.

Visited last night with around 35 family and friends for my mother in laws "big" birthday. The staff were fantastic, the buffet was superb and what a brilliant night we all had! Thanks to all involved for a brilliant time, everyone was accommodating and so family friendly.....Looking forward to our next visit

Lovely welcoming staff, have had my daughters birthday meal here and they put banners and balloons up for her. The amount of effort they go to with customer service is amazing. The food is always great, very tasty. excellent value

We booked a table for 10 people to celebrate my little boys 6th birthday for 5.30pm. My parents in law arrived a few minutes before us and were seated in the back area which was reserved from 6.30. When I questioned this we were told we would have to be out by 6.30?, that's an hour for a family to order, eat and leave the table. The landlady was extremely rude and was almost aggressive in her dealing with the situation. We understand overbookings can happen but they had my telephone number if there was a problem and the way the landlady spoke to us was absolutely appalling, especially on my little boys birthday. We live less than 200 yards from this pub and celebrate every special occasion here as well as most weekends. We will not be visiting again under the current management. Luckily for us a pub 1/2 mile away welcomed us and made a lovely night for my boy and the rest of the family.

We were a party of 10 tonight for a birthday at the Woodside pub, when we arrived the tables were made lovely with balloons and ‘happy birthday’ banners, despite the pub being busy the staff were so helpful, friendly and really couldn’t do enough for us, when we asked to if we could do the birthday cake, it was fetched out to us along with napkins and plates on top of such an amazing athmosphere the food was amazing also!! Will definitely be returning, thank you so much!

Decided to start the new year with a walk to the Woodside with the dogs and had a brunch which was superb and would recommend it to anyone, the staff are so accommodating and and will be going back again soon

Had a great time on a busy Christmas afternoon watching the football and enjoying some really tasty food whilst catching up with family. Staff couldn’t be more helpful despite being super busy at the time and this seems to help create an overall welcoming and ‘good vibes’ atmosphere to the place. Cash-back option at the food checkout was pretty useful too!

Just had a lovely meal with the family for my Mum’s birthday. The staff were very welcoming and had decorated our table with birthday balloons and placemats. The food was excellent, with plenty of variety to suit all tastes (they even have a separate vegan and vegetarian menu).

On Friday the 20th of December Me and My Husband and all our family had the great pleasure of celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary at The Woodside Pub In Crewe. Our night was made so special by Linda and all her wonderful staff. The good was amazing and so was the room service was exceptional not a bad word to say about this Pub. And one we wont forget In a hurry.

Just back for w family meal for 13 of us. The most accommodating people and place by far. The food was pre ordered and came piping hot, everything was perfect and even the 2 special pallets were accommodated with no trouble at all. Called in on Saturday evening at 7:30, the place was packed out so had to sit in the restaurant side, but not an issue getting served, ended up with chicken pie and chips and the curry , service was quick the food was all hot and well presented, the waitress was excellent and with a bottle of drinkable Chardonnay it came in well under £30, excellent value

Not been in for years , stopped going because it was run down, but now it's clean welcoming and friendly, so if you haven't been for a while it's time to go back and enjoy, we have eaten twice in the last two days, some great deals so enjoy

Fabulous party on Sunday for our daughters 18th, we have had many get togethers here over the years for various celebrations, great venue. Fantastic customer service both before the occasion and on the night. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Linda and her team. Gemma, Steve and Emily were so attentive on the night but big thanks to everyone. Highly recommend.

We went here just on spec to watch a football game and have some lunch, the bar is understaffed at times but the staff remain friendly every time we go, they were very accommodating and switched the game we wanted to watch to the screens at the back of the pub. Which we are very grateful for.

Came here today for a late lunch with my partner, the meal was absolutely spot on, Charlotte couldn’t do any more to help us, Karen ensured our meal was perfect, my children joined us later for tea and the service from Charlotte was perfect, the food was brilliant and we will be returning soon.

As always, as regulars who eat and drink at the woodside often, we have never had a bad meal and the staff always make you feel welcome, well done Linda and team and a big shout out to Carolyn (Caz) who always makes time for a quick chat.
