The Wishing Well 241 Pub in South Gloucestershire

I visited this pub for a meal prior to attending a film. The meal was of a good standard and the portion size was adequate. The server was courteous and ensured that the table was clean. Di was also attentive and ensured that the meal and service were of a high standard.

This was honestly the worst service and food experienced in a long time. They were clearly short-staffed and from being ignored by at least 3 different service staff who glanced at us or walked past us when we walked in and waited for someone to attend to us, to getting the feeling that staff were really unhappy, to everything being grubby, uncleared tables, drinks served in dirty glasses, being told there was a 45-min waiting period for our food when ordered (despite having booked) and every one of us (table of 8) not enjoying our food. This place really needs some attention in every respect. We will never set foot in it again!

We visited the Wacky Warehouse for a family member’s birthday. Some of us had travelled several hours from the midlands to meet other family members here. The staff working (Chelsie and Becky) were incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. They helped with birthday celebrations and set us up on another table once our allocated time had ended. The food was tasty and fresh and portions were generous. Some of us had the roast, which was delicious and others had grilled meat dishes which were all fresh and tasty. Our children enjoyed the soft play and this made our family get together much more enjoyable and relaxed.

Booked a table for 6 people for friends bday informed when ordering food 45min wait, staff informed us when food was being dished up great touch when you have fidgety kids great servers from the bar staff to food well done to Shannon (sorry didn’t get bar lads name) food was good and tasty look forward to coming back

Went to wishing well for a quick bite to eat before bowling. Quick and pleasant! And I have to thank our server Monika. I got a bit lost and she instantly helped and made it funny rather than embarrassing. So friendly and helpful. Thank you my Guide!

Just got back from Wishing We. They've changed their menu and the food was good, the service waitress was amazing and really engaging. Good food at a good price with great Service. Shannon was great. Heinz Singh

I am a regular customer at this pub/softplay. I have 2 children ages 6 & 2 years old. My eldest is Autistic & will only go to this softplay, the staff have now become more like friends. They are so accommodating to my eldest, so playful with both my children. We usually go around 4/5 times a week as really helps to regulate my eldest - we often eat here also! I would recommend the katsu curry! Cannot recommend this place enough!! Shout out to Katie & Dawn! Amazing, amazing amazing!!

Don’t go to this restaurant, food was ceramic , cold and we seen rats running around , when we told them we weren’t happy they didn’t care and didn’t apologise at all manager who was in was very rude and basically laughed at us and didn’t care

We went to the pub for a Sunday carvery, celebrating father's day. Although staff were slow in the bar area, the food made up for it. Lots of variety in veg and meat. Plenty of gravy. Even had room for an ultimate ice cream. It's huge! Good value for money and everyone was friendly. Although tucked away in a shopping complex, there's plenty of parking. We'll definitely be going again.

Absolutely awful, we all had a carvery, there was 5 of us. We were stood waiting to be served for 20 mins, the woman infront of us complained the gravy wasn’t thick enough, he made new gravy and it was covered in granules, there was gravy granules all over all of our dinners so we didn’t eat this and when we complained to the manager she couldn’t even offer a refund for some of it but she said we can take the food back and get more. We said no as we were in a rush, none of us ate our dinner and we left starving hungry

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The pub was clean and tidy. Staff did a check back with us and we were happy to say all was good with the food.

The quality of the carvery was pretty poor, the food had been under the heat lights for so long it was very dry and the roast potatoes, in particular, were rock hard! In addition, a small bottle of coke in the soft play area was a whopping £3.25, definitely won't bother again

I went out with some friends for the carvery. The carvery was really nice and is at a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly and approachable. Would definitely come back again and i highly recommend to visit this restaurant.

Fantastic place for families, great whacky warehouse for the children to play, my children absolutely loved it. Staff are super friendly, food is absolutely outstanding, carvery meat is just to die for for. All good was hot and served within a reasonable timescale. Beautiful pub and carvery.

Really friendly customer service. My daughter changed her mind of what she wanted to eat after we had placed our ordered and the server was really accommodating and changed it for her even though I was willing to buy her another one. I had the carvery which was really good only thing I would say is that I’d of liked the gravy thicker, but I know some people don’t like it thick and they can’t please everyone. Everything was clean and had a lovely atmosphere. Even though there was a children’s soft play next door there was no noice or distraction. Overall a really nice place with plenty of free parking.

Well that was an experience I don’t want to repeat! Food cold, 25 minutes to wait for app order! Staff looked dirty, staff seen helping themselves to food, then carrying out normal duties. Being sat at the table near the door where they bring food out, could hear manager screaming at staff and unacceptable language! Staff walking in non uniform to serve food to customers waiting. The only staff member who was pleasant was the chap serving carvery! He was great with my 6 year old granddaughter.

I take the children to Wacky soft play. They love it. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Can be quite cold in there if your not running around so make sure you wear a jumper! I can highly recommend the breakfast as well plus it's reasonably priced.... Lunch is also good with great choices including a carvery 😁

Went into soft play today and had such a lovely time. DI and Grace where so lovely with the children, very welcoming and conversed with them explaining the rules of the play area. Di had amazing patience when my children wanted to buy their own snacks and drinks and made the whole experience easy and calm. The soft play it's self is very clean and I noticed both Di and Grace cleaning while working which was nice , made me feel very safe. There customer service was 1st class and professional I was actually shocked to hear that Di wasn't the soft play manager she certainly behaves like one and is professional. The pub side on the other hand lacks the same customer service and staff are rude and the food is horrendous, if I ever step foot in their again it will solely be for soft play with Di and Grace
