A fantastic pub. The food was great, came out quick. Owner Mike is a delight. The staff were very helpful, and the locals were fabulous. Came through on the Cotswold Way, and will certainly return!!

Really, poor service food took over an hour to be delivered to our table.

Never again, waited over an hour for our food, which wasn't the best, paid for food and drink and then told there would be a long wait, despite the pub being mostly empty. Horrible experience so never again and certainly wouldn't recommend for food.

Was visiting the area and thought this looked like a nice place. Looks are deceiving.Avoid this place at all costs. The owner/manager is the rudest person I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Made us feel like we were not welcome in “his pub”. Will never go in here again, which is a shame as the rest of the staff seemed nice enough. Don’t bother going here when there are so many more welcoming places in Chipping Sodbury who actually want you there, rather than treating you as an unwelcome inconvenience.

Rudest landlord in the whole of the history. Lucky im giving this place 1 star. Would not recommend this place. Horrible. Disgusting behaviour from the landlord.

Staying in this area (chipping sodbury) I wouldn’t stay anywhere else, made felt at home, staff & management can’t do enough for you, superb hosts

Got great potential, but the keeping of the large marquee since covid in the courtyard is tacky and not tasteful at all. It needs to go to maximise space. Garden out the back is very nice.

Had a coffee in the hidden garden and watched fox cubs playing. Thoroughly recommend

Absolutely fabulous afternoon having a bottomless brunch for a retirement do. Staff were lovely and kept our glasses continually full. And the food was fantastic. Would 100% recommend and Will definitely go back xx

Only went there for a darts match on a Monday night been here lots before its a nice pub little bit old school which i like, only thing is we have people driving there for the game and they were charging £4-30 for a can of Guinness zero, you can buy 4 cans at supermarkets £5 or so, just think it takes the piss out of people driving it's not even a full pint. £3 would more than cover the cost. UTG.

Old pub warm and welcoming. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely place. Can be difficult to park on the main street but there is parking near the church.

Came for lunch on a Tuesday and had a lovely carvery. Nice and hot, beef/turkey and nice veg and gravy. Great golden syrup sponge for dessert. Good service too.

Scruffy , old fashioned Pub , very much for locals only ,, In character with it's location and age , doesn't need to be changed, busy and friendly atmosphere,, staff , a bit sparse , hence , too busy to be friendly generally.

Booked Sunday lunch for 6 people. Food was very good and with all the trimmings. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be going back!

We really enjoyed our room and the pub location, the staff was also very nice and helpful. Breakfast included which is definetely a pro. Only reason why I gave 4 stars - the drain in the shower was not looking/smelling too good. Ci è piaciuta molto la nostra stanza e il posto in cui si trova il pub, anche lo staff è stato molto gentile e disponibile. La colazione inclusa è sicuramente un punto a favore. L'unico motivo per cui ho dato 4 stelle invece di 5 - lo scarico della doccia non era molto pulito.

Best pub in Chipping Sodbury, not your glitz and glamour but friendly, great food, great staff and the most welcoming of all the pubs. Stop by have a drink and go sit in the secret garden!

Absolute amazing trip and BnB! Staff were all friendly and I had a large breakfast that was very tasty! I'd recommend this hotel if you are going this way, well worth the money!

Advertised 2 4 1 cocktails all day every day to be told only available in evenings ???? Men using ladies toilets not appropriate? £3.50 a can when they only cost about £1.50 or less to buy.

Came in here from the fair on the high street,what a lovely friendly place,even though we didn’t book they found us a seat,the Sunday roast was fantastic and the staff were amazing. Definitely coming back soon.

Came here on an off chance. What a great decision. Lovely friendly regulars in the bar. Good real ale and the food, well it was absolutely delicious. I had the ribs. And my friend had the gammon. Excellent prices aswell. We both were very pleased and would certainly recommend this absolute gem of a pub.

The stay was amazing. Comfort and easy access to high street. Breakfast was soo delicious. Though timing was from 8 AM for breakfast they have managed to serve me at 7.15 AM as I had to be in training at 0800.

Fantastic ploughman's and very friendly staff

I went in for a quick snack and ordered a fish finger sandwich. The barmaid was very pleasant and I chose to sit outside. However after waiting 30 min with no sign of my sandwich I gave up and left. I'm not sure what happened to my sandwich but the place was not busy and 30mins is too long for a sandwich.

Fantasy sunday lunch today. Good choice of roast meats and vegetables and cauliflower cheese. Starters and desserts are available although we didn't try them. I would recommend the Beauford Hunt and we will be returning. It's always best to phone and book a table.

Complaints from some of are party that their food was cold, the service was slow and did not clear all dinner places then served dessert. Could have been a lot better......

Great pub.Excellent choice of beers,and wines but could do with a dry rose though. Very friendly, polite staff. I was impressed with covid arrangements which include outside pods a large marquee, plenty of sanitisers etc. Didn't eat today but what I saw looked great. Will definitely return.

Despite the helpful signs displaying that the venue is dog friendly before 8pm if dogs are supervised, they aren’t actually allowed inside. We even called ahead to check and were told the pub is dog friendly. Just thought I’d pop it in a review as I would have found this helpful to know before visiting :) After we’d dropped the dog home and returned, the food was lovely and everyone had a wonderful time. They were VERY accommodating for various dietary requirements, vegan, allergies etc…

The staff provided us with a hog roast to celebrate our wedding day. The food was great, the staff were professional and above all helpful and friendly. Proper pub with a lovely garden. Thanks to the landlord Mike for a wonderful day.

Not one to complain but I got recommended to come here by a few people and came here yesterday and said they were closing at 6pm and we had to leave by then.. as we started to leave because we thought you were closing a band came in.. we had our temperature checked without being asked a women just chucked the gun on our heads I’m double vaccined so I’m not really fussed but I believe someone should of told us what was going to happen before touching us. We arrived at 16:00 unfortunately the app wasn’t working very great so we managed to find some service as we could still see the menu on our phones whilst ordering we was all a little hungry and asked if we could order food and told us we were not allowed and that you don’t do food which was confusing as on the app it says you do also one of my friends tried to order a gin which says you do on the app but the guy serving us says no.. I’ve worked in bars myself for the last 6 years and I do believe this service wasn’t good and was very intimidating

The management here is an absolute abomination - I cannot quite believe how I was spoken too. I will NEVER EVER come here again. Joke. He doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

The person in management that goes by the name of Mike is a very rude man and has no customer service at all. In a time where the hospitality industry are trying to rebuild themselves this man should not be representing this establishment.

After getting my hair done yesterday, I was very hungry and decided to cross the road and sample the lunch menu at The Beaufort Hunt Inn. I had heard great things about their food and thought I’d try it myself. I was met at the large black gate by Tina who took my temperature and showed me to a table in the marquee which was erected especially to allow the pub to re-open following the 3rd lockdown. I felt quite comfortable and very safe with all the covid precautions that Mike and his team had implemented. I ordered a cheese and pickle sandwich with some onion rings to accompany it. Plus a half pint of lemonade to drink as I was driving. When my food arrived, the sandwich was very plentiful; cut into 4 triangles; a good handful of bread filled with delicious mature cheese and pickles, a very generous helping of tortilla chips and a large green side salad, then my onion rings which were piping hot and served in a metal basket. It was a delicious and full lunch that filled me up until late into the evening. The price was very reasonable, service absolutely top notch, friendly and attentive ( my waitress was Sophie) and my food and surroundings absolutely excellent. I heartily recommend the Beaufort to anyone looking for a quick but filling bite to eat and their roast dinners give the local competition a run for their money too. Thank you to Bert and Brian the chefs and to Mike and Tina. I’ll definitely be in again! X

Had a delivery takeaway from the Beaufort and it was excellent! Perfectly cooked, generous portions arrived right on time and piping hot. Highly recommended!

Helpful friendly service and good food

* I was driving and sober at the time this all happened. This has been my local pub since I was little, coming in when I was 16 with my dad. It is a 21 over bar and the owner Mike has never had a problem with me coming in. However recently he has been extremely rude to me, told me to “f*ck off” when I was saying hi to my dads friends. As well as this he as also said that the whole pub is 21 and over however all of the signs states that only the bar is over 21 and there is also a yellow brick road painted on the floor to entice young children. However I have witnessed children under the age of 15 come and go with no issue and no comment to the child’s parent about them not being allowed in. I have found this disgraceful, extremely rude and disrespectful for a paying customer to be treated in such a rude manner. I would not recommend this pub to any families and I will definitely be changing the establishment that I have been in for the last 3 years. No customer has commented to me being under 21 as I do not go into the bar. It is a shame that the staff have to deal with this kind of disrespect, many staff have left and are looking for new jobs due to bullying from the management.

Never eaten at the Beaufort hunt before , but it was really nice I would certainly go there again & the waitress was lovely & friendly & very helpful .

Very impressed with this place. We were greeted at the door and asked to fill in track and trace forms and also had our temperature taken. We were then led by a member of staff in face visor to our table. Everywhere was sectioned off and very clean. I had my elderly mother with me so I appreciated the Covid-19 routines and it made me feel very safe. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. A welcome break from our travels to Devon.

what a pleasant visit. 3 mum frisnds out for a walk and in search of a cold drink outside but also in the shade. 2 of us have used the garden before. Wow, as a nurse and conversant with best practise for customer facing safety for visitors and staff . . . . Very impressed with systems of work and competence and well trained staff. I have found some cafe/restaurants are excellent in keeping my confidence high, some are doing the minimum and I'm not impressed, and some unfortunately are on a list of "don't come here right now", I have no confidence in their grasp of interpreting the guidance The Beaufort are in the excellent category. Do go and reward them with your business and enjoy a safe place to drink and dine. The garden has always been "quirky" there are plenty of tables and shade and sheer on offer

We visited on the Thursday before Christmas. The restaurant wasn't very busy, although the pub was. Because the bar is between the two rooms it was still quiet and pleasant in the restaurant. The service was excellent with friendly, patient staff who knew about the menu. There was quite a lot of choice on the evening menu, with a few specials on the board. We can recommend their pies! The portions were a decent size and were good value. They were large enough that we couldn't manage desert. The person on the next table did manage desert and it was large and looked delicious.

It reminds me of a typical British pub....very warm welcoming and inviting...everyone makes you feel very welcome and glad that I’m here....I’m staying here tonight and my room is cozy and even has an electric fire....just down to earth and I really like it...parking is free however don’t let trying to get a spot out you off

This is the most authentic pub on the High Street. Good food, good value, friendly service and Blackthorn.

We popped in on the off chance, very glad we did, service was excellent, had to wait a bit for the food, but well worth it, piping hot and freshly prepared, very tasty and very good portions. Highly recommend the Beaufort. Will definitely be going back their.

Very friendly pubs on high Street. Good quality food. The only minor niggle is that the male toilet is outside and all doors and windows remain open so on a cold wet day it isn't a pleasant dash to the toilet. Maybe this was an exception on the day I visited.

A great place for a decent pint, good food and topped with excellent service by lovely helpful staff. An excellent experience.

Fantastic pub. Good beer selection although a few beers were off. Small interior. Food was delicious. The Rabbit pie was spot on, delicious. And overall very, very good value.

Good place for lunch, really nice garden

A traditional country pub in a High Street are very historical small town. They have live music on sometimes and a good selection of all types of beer. Very friendly staff an outside area with tables and chairs and a great garden...children and dogs welcome. it's a very interesting place and outside on the way to the garden there are some quirky signs and even the gent's toilet is nicely decorated with paintings but I can't say anything about the ladies as I haven't visited. I would recommend it as friendly and welcoming.

Nice looking pub with sunny garden. Only had coffee ☕ so can't vouch for ales or food. Will probably return.

Amazing food, amazing service, amazing price, amazing pub.

Food good at a reasonable price. For desert had the cheese board which was fab and presented well and can be recommended. Waitress pleasant and helpful.

Bar staff were friendly but the owner was very rude at closing time and wouldn't let us stay inside to wait 5 minutes for our taxi even though there were lots of other people still in the pub. Never been treated so badly for no reason before.

The bar staff were extremely friendly and the beer choice was very good. The owner / manager however was incredibly rude at closing time, we had a 2 minute wait on an Uber and we were told "you will have to wait your 2 minutes outside" despite people still at the bar drinking... A very cold and hostile individual who frankly doesn't deserve your custom.

Commendable efforts by Mike in particular to make guests comfortable. I left behind my laptop charging lead and before I had realised , Mike and his team had tried to contact me, offering to post it, no trouble. Thank you Mike and your team. Janet
