Lovely pub, made to feel very welcome

In need of an extensive refurb and dare I say it deep clean. visited twice but same old school pub feel and smell. Great shame as the place is in a good location but offers very limited food options for families in the area and yes could do with a major refurb to spruce the place up imho. SM.

Friendly bar staff, great atmosphere, ideal for private functions! Also,a fantastic view from the balcony!

Awful experience, first time entering the pub and got kicked out because the bartender had bad experience with past customers so he makes out his anger on me. I couldn't care any less I was calm about the situation and left. I will not be returning nor recommending this location to anyone.

Atmosphere, Monday bingo, Thursday Quiz

Went for a family meal. Since our area is in tier 2 ,I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was lovely and homey with all the Christmas decorations. Nice and warm cos they have shut the doors (which has been an issue with us since lockdown), They are back to playing music so overall it was a very pleasant atmosphere. Food was nice as were our 2 allocated alcoholic drinks. We will definitely return soon

In the current situation of social distancing, masks etc the bar man was a complete breath of fresh air. Very friendly, chatty and just genuinely felt he appreciated our custom.

Not very busy when we visited but we were made welcome, friendly staff

Got no Guinness need some different bitters also.

We had Sunday Dinner today with our daughter son in law and 3 children We were very impressed with the quality of the homemade food and staff were very friendly even making up 2 ice creams for our grandchildren For what we wanted we’d give it 5/5

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and decent drink!

Not my local so do not know a lot about it.went last week karaoke on had good time.an laugh but then karaoke is my thing .better when people don't take it seriously which is how it is supposed to be.

A very nice venue tea was free and as many as you wanted

Has a really intimate party for 90 year old Head of Year Teacher. T'was really lovley and well supported. The Wirral Hundred handed their pub over and let everyone be relaxed and nicely spread out. Lovley afternoon. Lots of ex-pupils attended.

Lovely friendly pub not that busy in the afternoon , but dogs allowed , lovely Sunday lunches, staff are brilliant .bingo on Mondays good fun !

Went out for a walk with the little dog & stopped for a little drink and stayed for more👍

Nice pub great food lovely staff

Came here today for dinner (first visit) and I was not disappointed very nice pub very spacious and child friendly. Staff quite friendly and Dave the boss was very attentive. The menu had good choices for Sunday lunch and very reasonable prices too..the roast lamb was gorgeous very hot and nice big portions 😀 my husband had roast beef which was beautiful!! We also had desserts which where gorgeous 😍😍 jam roly poly is to die for 😍😍 Overall fabulous meal and will be returning!! Please ignore previous reviewers as the owners have turned this place around and are striving to make it!! Give it a go you won’t be disappointed!!!

After our afternoon walk we stopped for a liquid refreshment. Lovely Sunday afternoon vibe. Quiet, warm and some families ( small ) having a chilled he or two. I must add nobody on there phones....... Well maybe checking them but visually saw people talking to each other.

Good pub needs sports on though . Good garden for the summer 😁

Appalling place,allows 15 years olds and babies,all children to stay until closing,it needs closing down!!!

Been in here a few times and always wonder why i came back , place is mostly empty , drink was ok , service ok , as its mostly an empty pub , don t think i will rush back

Food served till 2.30pm. Breakfasts are great.

Nice pub with great seating outside. Sadly no card machines which I thought was a bit odd. No local cash machines in the area either and had no money so had to leave after the first drink.

Recently tried was very pleased with quick service good hot food and very well priced ( drinks not to cheap ! )
