The Acorn is a great pub for casual drinks with friends. There’s a great selection on tap, as well as multiple screens to watch sports. Sam Fowlie in particular is an excellent barman.

Whilst at the acorn the service was prompt whilst trying to order at the bar as well as table service when ordering food the staff were polite and considerate to any changes to meals when asked

Very poor. Group of 18 for a festive lunch left very disappointed. Despite pre ordering - after 45 mins we had to follow up our starters. Then big wait for mains and ended up getting desserts boxed after 2.5 hours as people had started to leave to get back to work. No festive decorations despite it being a christmas lunch. While the starters were nice the turkey dinner was awful, most left it. No flavour at all, folded wafer thin turkey and frozen roasties and carrots, nothing home cooked at all. Did complain but apparently they think it's acceptable as like to allow guests time to settle? 45 mins, really? And the foods not their fault it's what they are told to do by the brand. I have said that's not good enough as we all left disappointed and not heard back since. Stressful experience won't be going back

We went for the bottomless brunch which was excellent value and were given great service by the ever jovial Joel who is a credit to the establishment. We will be back soon

We came for a festive meal there was no decoration on the tables not even a Xmas cracker. Tables were of all mixed matched height. Service was awful we were booked for 1pm our order had been preorder we got starters at 1.30pm main course at 2.10pm then desert at 3pm very slow. Turkey was not fresh it was processed the whole experience was awful. Won't be going back and wouldn't recommend

Waited for over hr, meal ordered was cancelled by staff. Their mistake. Unfriendly staff. Eventually when food arrived chip were like warm band salad. No Christmas atmosphere very dissapointed

Writing on behalf of a relative who came for the Xmas lunch this week. Starter garlic mushrooms - tiny little dish,the chef had clearly missed the garlic. Main turkey dinner. Everyone received theirs, waited a while then chased with waitress, plate eventually came and waitress apologised saying it had been given to another table and they had only ate a little bit of it !!!!!!! Wtf. Pudding . Incorrect pudding arrived when questioned waitress argued this was what she ordered and refused to change it. A large group come several time a year. However, this will now be the last time. Absolutely disgusting/unhygienic to be given a plate that someone else had already started eating.

Typical Sizzling pub, really friendly, attentive staff and great service. Enjoyed a lovely quiet pint on a Saturday afternoon.

Been going there now about 3 yrs on a regular basis Breakfast once a week with mates and 1 evening a week food spot on chef Mark is a really nice bloke .all the Staff are nice friendly people.Can't fault them they'll do anything for you within reason. Zoe the Boss really friendly as well they even the cleaning staff Well done 👏

This is from a long time ago, but it was my local pub to go to with my ex and family at the time. Either for a meal or just drinks. Generally good ambience, good food and staff. Very good. I miss you guys. It's been too long.

Lovely family meal great service

Visited for drinks and then evening meal. Good food, not overpriced, good service. Was quite loud as both football and darts were on TVs in another room and there were quite a few families with children. But a great place for good food if you do have children and/or like sport. Wasn't so loud that it put us off though so would recommend & will be visiting again when we're back in the area.

We ordered mixed grill and chicken and steak combo mine didn’t come out sizzling and I asked for medium to well it was still rare my partners steak was rare and we asked for medium my chicken was full of water only thing I ate was the chips absolutely disgusting I visit quite often and that has put me off

They made a mess of my order which cost me an extra £20 didn't apologise or refund me.

Met friends for coffee and surprised how busy is was for so early in the morning. Pleasant enough atmosphere but felt coffee was only small compared to what other pubs serve. Cup was not full either so slightly disappointed

Service with a smile … only the smile was missing!!! Came here with my husband, he ordered hunters chicken with chips …. Chips looked like they had been sat there for hours I ordered curry with a side of chips …. Food came no rice - this happened last time we came here as well, takes too long to rectify so didn’t bother. While my chips were red hot they were most definitely undercooked. Used to love coming here for tea but won’t be back!

Took my elderly parents for a meal and as I'm disabled myself the staff offered to bring the drinks over before I even asked.

Drank here off and on for 40 years until I moved away from Bebington. it's still first class

3 of us went to the Acorn as a change from the KIngs, down the road. We were looking forward to the Liverpool - West Ham League Cup game and a few pints of cask beer. We were surprised to see 3 handpumps, all with the clips turned away! "Is there no cask ale on?" I asked the young barmaid. She didn't seem to know what I was talking about! "You know, hand pulled beer, real ale?" Again, a blank look. Then a more senior barperson took over. "No, we haven't had real ale on for a while. There's no call for it here," she said. "Well, that's not true," said a customer standing next to me. "I asked for Doombar the other day!" "Well, there you go," I said. "That's 4 discerning customers who've been disappointed!" We left the almost empty pub and went up Village Rd to the heaving Travellers' Rest which, amazingly, had a choice of 6 real ales! In these troubled times for pubs where even the Kings manages to serve 2 real ales, surely more effort could be made to cater for real ale drinkers.

Visited the Acorn again this week and as always the atmosphere was very welcoming and staff were attentive, happy to help and friendly as always will definitely be back again in the future

I recently dined at The Acorn in Bebington with my family of four, and the experience was excellent! The food was of high quality, tasted good and well presented. Everyone in the family thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and the menu had a great variety to choose from. The customer service was equally impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed. It's clear they prioritize making guests feel welcome. Overall, The Acorn offers a wonderful combination of great food and top notch service. Highly recommended!

Nice pub with pub grub not much more to it...

I go with 4 friends every Thursday for lunch but very dissapointed with the menu and food the menu boring and mostly fried food or grilled the fish is the best but dnt want this every week and some food expensive probably meet somewhere else soon for a change

Booked a family table to celebrate some great news! Service from female member of staff was poor! Every time we ordered different meals for family her reply was is that it! Not welcoming at all, on a positive note there is a good variety of places to eat that will appreciate our custom!

Everything was perfect and we will most definitely be back next week. All meals were fabulous, the staff were very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was great

Great pub and great food. No Sunday dinners though which is strange.

I've been having the chicken and bacon salad bowl for as long as I can remember although granted I haven't been in for a while after a bad experience a while ago, nothing to do with the food it was all the swearing and rowdiness we witnessed while there. Anyway we thought we'd give it another go because as I say I loved the salad bowl 🥗 Well they've changed the recipe and although it was very nice, fresh and plentiful it just wasn't the same as it once was, it is now just a basic salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, cabbage and red onion. Very nice but nothing special, it used to have quinoa and other delights but alas no more. We also ordered 2 lots of fish, chips and mushy peas and they were really nice, piping hot fresh fish which had lovely white flesh in a beautiful light and crispy batter. We will be visiting again.

I wasn't impressed with the quality of the food, my wife and l both had sirloin steak, mine was awful , l asked for medium and it was rare. The wife's was cooked to her liking but was full of since and grizzle. And the choice of beer was lager and that's it.

I myself work for M&B as a Manager,and I can safely say this place is lovely to grab some quick food or do a quiz. The staff are happy, the quiz host is a good laugh and the food never fails. If I could wall off the bar from restaurant I would however that's my only complaint. Will be back again soon for some good times!

Lovely food, staff were great and the pub is a nice place to go. Kids running round was a bit annoying but other than that it was great

Random choice for meal out. Great steak meal with beef dripping gravy. Totally delicious. Cadbury lovers sundae for dessert. Mmm. Definitely coming back here

A sizzler pub, the same as The Swan. But more pleasant staff and the breakfast is cooked properly. You can swap what you don't like for more of what you do, like with unlimited toast at no extra cost. The coffee is self top-up every day. Mark is a great cook, the best. 🙂

Came for cocktails and quiz night. Friendly speedy service from the bar and got some starters to share, the cheesy garlic bread was delicious.

Pool takes money and doesn't work. Then if you ask staff they say nothing they can do.

Visited for the first time to meet up with family. We required a table away from busy areas, and Ev was fantastic in finding us a suitable spot and cleaning it thoroughly before seating us (thank you Ev). The food was excellent and very good value, the mini brownie and hot chocolate finished the meal off nicely. We will definitely be back.

5 of us visited for a family Birthday lunch. We placed our food and drink order with Zoe. We requested some specific requests to accommodate an older gent we support. when our food arrived all requests were catered for. The food, drink and our time spent within the Acorn was relaxed and well spent with our family to catch up and celebrate. The team were warm and welcoming and the table we were sat at was very clean. Our experience at this venue was extremely positive and we will be returning!

Went to Acorn to catch up with some mates. The staff were all amazing. Zoe the manageress was super friendly as was her staff, Amy and Paige. Nothing was too much trouble, bringing the drinks over to the table. Food looked great even though I didn't eat there. The girls did not stop working the whole time I was there. I hope the management reads this as they are a credit to the team. Will be back!!

This is a lovely place for a casual lunch with friends or family. The menu is wide-ranging-good-pub-food served quickly and piping hot. The atmosphere was a little noisy with young families there but overall it was a great chance to chill out and catch up with friends over a lovely lunch of fish and chips and gammon and chips. Friendly staff created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended

i enjoyed my classic mixed grill but my guests had the fish and where disatisfied. the fish and batter tasted soggy and undercooked and tasteless. not up to the standard i normally expect of the acorn.

Food is good, decent portions and consistently good on the occasions we have been in. Staff are helpful and service is spot on.

I am a regular here at the acorn and I visit atleast 4 times a week and I can't get over the improvements regarding the cleanliness of the pub, I haven't seen it this clean in a very long time, keep up whatever you are doing! And a massive thank you to all the staff for always being so polite and caring towards their guests. Well done

We always book a table for 12, 10x Care home residents & 2xStaff. The Manager and Staff are truly amazing, patient, helpful and very professional, we cannot fault them in anyway, the staff and residents really appreciate everything they do for us during the visit, they are so flexible and patient, when it comes to ordering as we have to do everything individually. They never complain or grumble, and the residents really look forward to and enjoy coming back each month. Booked table for 5 for 5.30 for Sunday Roast. On arrival we were told we couldn't have a Roast dinner and also if we order food it wouldn't be served for an hour or possibly more. This service was disgraceful after telling me over the phone that table was booked and we would be having a Roast dinner. I noticed there were many people complaining about the service as I walked to my table to get my coat. The Acorn has gone downhill since I last visited. I did notice however that meals ordered to be delivered to their home were piled up and taken by 2 motorcyclists so these people were being served BEFORE customers in the pub. I would give the Acorn pub a wide berth and go somewhere else to eat. Doreen

Have been visiting acorn for a number of years on our visit today sat at table and condiment basket was dirty and bits missing I have never experienced this before makes me wonder what else is not kept clean

Had the chilli con carne not meat more like soup very disappointed . Service super and friendly but food was not very nice.

Family birthday meal tonight 3 families I would say one meal was ok out of everything. 12 people an we spent over £150 shocking g food avoid it as not with the money for the poor food

Came on Thursday 18th. Food was nice, service was spot on The issue …. The draught coming from the window!! It was so bad, my back was cold to the touch, my hands were like ice. It was so bad we literally had our food and left, didn’t even finish our drinks. The people on the next table were complaining about how cold it was as well. They had a radiator by them as well which was barely warm. I did attempt to close the curtain to keep the draught off me but that was all knotted up on the hook to stop you closing them.

We visited after prebooking a table online, food was lovely came pretty quickly and food tasted lovely. We had 2 surf and turfs and a rib and steak. We just don't like them coming on the hot skillerts (too hot) All cooked to our liking, kids food was a very generous portion, plus a pudding and drink in with the deal. High chair was slightly dirty had to wipe it clean but other than that the place was clean and tidy. Staff was helpful young girl was really professional who served us

Was quite full when we got there due to parties taking place. Staff where very friendly but the pub was so loud with very shouty girls/women trying to drown out everyone else. This obviously killed any atmosphere and lots of people where obviously annoyed at the racket they made. Ordered at the bar very quickly though, and when the food arrived it looked really nice, was piping hot and tasted great. I'm not a killjoy and like people to enjoy themselves, but on this occasion, I do think the staff should have stepped in and asked them to quieten down a bit but understand what why they didn't.

Thus place just STINKS of onions - its obviously just a cheap ingredient to bulk up their meals. You can smell the onion smell as soon as you enter the doorway and after our drinks my clothes and hair reek of onions- wont be back!!!! just vile-yuk
