Fantastic Wetherspoons. Fabulous building, and everything you want from Wetherspoons inside. Decentvpriced food & drink with a lovely chilled atmosphere.

Very busy but good food and good service.

Went to winter gardens in Harrogate and were served by Corner. He is a very nice chap and we ware very happy with the magnificent service. Keep it up

It's Wetherspoons! Usual value for money in a beautifully restored building.

Great prices, but it is so big it is difficult to feel the atmosphere.

This is a top notch cafe serving mainly walkers and climbers. The eating area is clean bright but somewhat Spartan as you would expect . The food is always excellent and good value.

Cheap food and drink. Beautiful building. Really fast service. Usually very busy.

Friendly staff, quick food service. My only gripe is with the fried eggs (I had a breakfast) as the yolks were overcooked and not runny and the whites were rubbery, made me feel a bit sickly actually which is very unusual for me as my hubby calls me a dustbin!

Decent prices as expected from a weatherspoons. The winter gardens is a lovely unique building and the atmosphere was nice. The staff were a little rude on the way out but other than that can't complain.

Lovely place to get breakfast if your amazing at the near by travelodge, use the back entrance from the carpark to save you the hike up the hill on a morning.

Biggest and best Wetherspoons we've ever been in

Wouldn't normally give a Spoons 5 * but one of the stars is for using this amazing building! Spectacular! Great service and choice of drinks as always.

Great atmosphere in what appears to be an old cinema, but very busy on the two occasions we visited. Good food served hot and reasonably quickly.

A lovely building, well set out, not too crowded. Typical 'spoons food. Toilets were surprisingly close.

One of my favourite Spoons. Had a pizza evening meal here. Not too busy due to extreme snowy conditions outside. Lovely real ales available. Would have given 5 stars but they need to remove the slot machines as they are garish!

You get what you get at Wetherspoons - cheap drinks in pleasant venue. Saturday afternoon - absolutely heaving.

It is a beautiful venue! The food is whetherspoon quality, nothing very special on it. But it is a great place to go for some drinks and enjoy the beauties of the place.

My local for a night out with my wife and/or family and friends. Probably one of the best Wetherspoons pubs anywhere in the country. Crowd tends to vary with times of day and the day you visit. Fridays and weekends are understandably busy, and it’s good to see young people of just-legal drinking age to seniors enjoying the social atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Lovely location for a pub. Dropped in while Christmas shopping. Had a very festive atmosphere. Went on a Tuesday and was very busy so if a group try and book a table

We had a couple of drinks here before going to see Monty Don at The Convention Centre. We couldn’t find a table inside so sat outside at the rear of the building. As with all Wetherspoons, good value. I can’t really comment on the inside of the building but sitting outside was an eye opener!. On the next table were a group of 3, 1 female, 2 males who appeared to be openly drug dealing!. We’ve never heard such bad language, think they were all probably under the influence already and ordering more on their mobile phones. When my husband went inside to get drinks, I felt quite vulnerable. It may be an idea for staff to pop out the back from time to time to check. Not a nice experience.

Nice building. No signage regardong ordering of drinks or whether to wait for seating or just look around for somewhere and wasn't told how to order food either. Seemed pretty un organised. Had to ask 3 different serving staff members, if we could have our table wiped clean as was covered in sticky food and spillages from previous people. Took 45 MINS of constant asking before they finally wiped it clean!! Not sure if it's worth a re visit despite the lovely building.

A wonderful looking building inside and out. The place was clean and tidy. The food and drink arrived at our table very quickly, even though it was quite busy. We were so impressed, that we went back the next morning for breakfast and had a similarly excellent experience. Congrats to all staff for a brilliantly run pub.

Usual Spoons , renovation on a massive scale keeping the beautiful building alive. Huge in size very well decorated , friendly staff great choice of ales and clean. Christmas decor everywhere.. Recommend this place.

Came in for breakfast at 10am only to be told not serving breakfast. You can get drunk but you can not drink.

Stunning building, probably the best wetherspoons I have been to. I used the app while I was there and the service was so quick. Food was lovely too.

3rd time here and have to say what I've just witnessed. 2 girls which are supposed to clean tables just walking around. I moved the glasses from my table to another, then watched another chap move the glasses from his table to the one I just moved mine to. 3 ladies came in, no where to sit so they took turns to move glasses, plates & cutlery to the bar so they could sit. Watched someone else have to go to toilet to get wet tissue to clean his table. Really bad, no one does anything about it.

Particular staff member was very rude, wasn’t asked of ID when first served, member of staff asked for ID when I was half way through my second drink and was annoyed and rude when I took a few minutes to find it. I did initially have it ready when I was going to be served but afterwards had put away, didn’t think it was necessary to have ID ready after I’d already been served more than one drink but this staff member(who was not serving drinks) was very bothered by the fact I couldn’t immediately prove I was 18+ after I had already been served 2 drinks. Accused me of being at fault for this and said I should automatically be able to produce it(ID was at the bottom of my bag) was very unwelcoming and, in the opinion of someone who works in hospitality, was very unprofessional, if they thought I was under 18 should have ID ‘d initially instead of when I had already been served and then being rude when I wasn’t prepared. Bring impatient over having to wait two minutes for me to find my ID is ridiculously unprofessional.

The place was busy and table space was at a premium but I found a small table, albeit littered with glasses and plates. Had to ask 3 times for it to be cleared despite staff standing around chatting with each other. Eventually the plates on the table were cleared, but not the glasses and the person didn't return. I ordered food and when that arrived I had to ask for the dirty glasses to be removed. She took them but did not clean the dirty table. I had to use the napkin provided with my food to clean the table. Some serious staff training required at this establishment.

We came to this establishment on Friday 1st November, we managed to find a table at the back of the pub. There were people just leaving the table, and they had eaten and had drinks. We sat down, no one came to clear the table. We had to ask twice. Then someone came, took the plates but left the dirty glasses. We then ordered drinks, when the eventually arrived, I had ordered a villa maria Blush Sauvignon. Straight away I could tell it was the white version of the wine. Which I do not like. The server, tried to gas light me and tell me it was defiantly blush he had poured it himself. We told him it definitely wasn’t. He said he could get the bottle if we wanted, he said ok. Brough the bottle over and it was an unopened blush! We said yes that’s the blush but the one poured was a white. He then said no that’s just the condensation on the glass! He said he’d give us another if we liked and we said we would like the blush that we ordered! The food came, and we were also not very impressed. My sister got the pasta Alfredo and it lasted around 8 mouthfuls there were that little on the plate! The chicken dishes, 3 bowls for 7.49, were dry. The Korean chicken came in little bowls, like the pasta, not the big black bowls that everyone else in the pub seemed to have. The kids burger was burned. On the way out my sister went to the loo, while in there a male member of staff came in to check them but literally just signed the board and went back out. One of the toilets was covered in faeces! So he 100% didn’t check. Which doesn’t give us confidence that they are checked any other time! For an establishment in Harrogate it is one of the worst we have been to and will not be returning.

Usual Wetherspoons cheap booze in a fantastic old building. Always busy with good vibe but there is always somebody vaping somewhere (inside) and the staff ignore it. Two visits previous when the weather was warmer there were even people smoking outside despite the tables clearly saying “No smoking”. It’s annoying and staff need to sort it out

Historic building becomes wetherspoons pub. It was fine but the bar was too long for the number of staff. There were a lot of customers but very few staff so I had to wait about 15 minutes for service.

Must be one of the grandest spoons we have visited, good atmosphere busy but quick service.

What a great building. You might not like the politics of Tim Martin but his company have put some great buildings to good use. Food worth the money. Half term week this visit and the place was rammed. Only 2 tables free on our arrival at 14.30. Food still good value and very tasty

Wow, what a gorgeous place. Very ornate with fantastic architecture. Staff are very efficient and our food came quickly which was delicious.

Nice building however the chicken tikka masala was not the best quality on this occasion. The bread was hard and the sauce wasn't mixed well

Ordered from my table, so easy. Food delivered quickly. This particular Wetherspoons very grand. Ladies toilets on same kevel as bar, but several steps to go up to get out.

Great venue which probably helps the food. Three pints with my dad and twin brother for under £7 - What's not to like 😘

VERY noisy, drinks cheap as usual. Had to return my non alcoholic cider as didn't taste right, also bottle was already open when the bar person got it from the fridge. Changed it without any questions after tasting it.

Great breakfast as always however, the highlight was one of the members of staff who originated from Sao Paolo Brazil (sorry didn't get her name) who was a font of knowledge on the local area and truly adores living there. We appreciated her time and we will be visiting a few of her recommendations. A truly lovely, kind and thoughtful lady 👍

Great atmosphere and the great value you come to expect from your local Wetherspoons, this one just has a wow factor, featuring some rather fancy stairs if you enter from Parliament Street, we decided to have an All Day Brunch, this was more then enough food for the price, plus the free drink included also, definitely keeps you going for the day.

Nice pub , had breakfast which was nice could do with being warmer . However good price and lovely pub .
