Beer garden is really decent now since the makeover👌🏻 Enjoyed a couple of sandwiches in the sun - the fish finger butty was great. Service was quick and friendly.

Had dinner there the other night with my son great value for money.

Amazing menu lots to choose from, fast service ,food was gorgeous, the gravy 👌 tasted like proper chippy gravy mmm, we really enjoyed it..clean plates all around..we couldn't resist ordering the pavlova 😋 yum. All plated up like a top notch restraunt. Highly recommend 👌 👍 👏

Food was lovely, tasty and hot, will definitely return to try something else. We had chicken cacctorre and 10oz rump. Well worth the money.

Really not impressed. Sat outside and tables were unclean. Our starters were served without cutlery etc. Although we could get our own. Food was not hot and not the best quality.

Never had any problems with this pub until today. I ordered a bottle of Noseco because they have no procceco in small bottles. Nobody new the price until the bar staff asked some other staff member who said I think its £19.50 so we purchased this. Only to find out it only costs £3.50 Now I know they have to mark it up but .that was a complete rip-off .we then ordered bar snacks of wedges and sour cream and chives to be told we only sell chips. Will not go back 💁

Had a fantastic meal tonight. We had booked for a surprise birthday. Can’t fault the food or service. All was great.

Booked a large party table Sent my pre orders via email Service was smooth. No fuss with food service it was a great smooth operation. Staff was great & friendly if something was asked for it was brought quick and with a smile The manager was great especially to the birthday girl made her feel welcome and made her smile on her birthday with his kindness Prices were great from the bar to the food. Would definitely recommend and attend again

Excellent sea food mussels and calamari well presented. Good friendly service.Visited early afternoon so couldn't really comment on the atmosphere per se. But a good ambience and the new style menu looks interesting.

I've visited the Wilton many, many times whilst it was a 'Sizzler' resaurant. This is my first review since it changed hands and has become Mangiamo @ The Wilton Arms Hotel. The menu has vastly changed and is now mostly Italian inspired with a decent selection. There is still a (much smaller) choice of pub classics and non Italian choices too. The venue is very clean and the decor pleasing. There is plenty of parking (free if you register your number plate details at the bar. The staff are lovely (special thanks to Ash who was efficient, helpful and friendly) The majority of our order was very fresh and tasty : 4 cheese ravioli, chicken/mushroom pie and steak pie all great. My only negative comment would be regarding the 'Mature Cheddar and Mozzarella Toasted sandwich' which was very dissapointing when it arrived. Made with regular sliced bread, which was barely toasted, lacking in filling and was presented on the plate with just a pot of chips and nothing more. Presentation and content were very poor for a sandwich that costs £10.00 - Nothing like the description on the menu. It should be improved, removed or better described and reduced in price. With that exception, I have to finish on a positive and to be fair, our visit was a good one and I would certainly return. For Great staff in a nice setting that's very clean and tidy with good parking and fresh tasty food - its 5 stars...... sort the sandwich out and my next review will have them :)

Not very professional. Asked for food to come together, garlic bread was brought out 10 mins before the mains (which was asked for together) Was that cold I had to go and order another one which I paid again for. No sorry or no question about it. No children’s menu. Don’t get me wrong the food was nice, but would not return as not welcoming at all for family’s and seemed quite run down. Was also quiet when we went. So much better when it was The Wilton. **** thanks for responding***** I wouldn’t expect to come in for a free visit but that’s a nice offer. Will keep my eye out for the children’s menu in future. May come back and try again. We visited on 08.04 would have been around half 5 ish. The lasagne and chips were lovely. The children’s menu would be a big thing for a lot of people so hopefully that is worked on.

I ordered a lemonade and got soda water, then while waiting 40 minutes for the meal for my family I found out the bar women had failed to place the order, then when the food arrived it was disgusting. The side of steamed veg was either raw or weeks old, the cunky chips would fail to make it to farmfoods value section with peas that were vary old and a pie that made me feel ill afterwards. I'm writing this to save wallets and time of any humans from making the mistake I made.

First visit after pub reopening under new management. Food was really good, great menu with something for everyone’s taste, good variety of starters- chicken ribs especially were delicious. All very reasonably priced too. Staff all very friendly and welcoming will definitely return!

Staff are warm and welcoming, plus very friendly. The food has come from being a 2 star to a 4 star. Massive improvement, and we will come back.

1st and last time, found pub dated. Waited a while to be shown to table then looked at menu and nobody came to us I asked if we order at bar was told yes would have been informed of this. I had a pie with mash which was dry and lumpy. Not the best meal.

First time visit in need of refurbishment. Had a 40% off voucher so reasonable value for money, wouldn't dream of going if had to pay full price. Had two chicken sizzlers, the fries were really good the chicken dry and overcooked. Had to queue at the bar to order, should be able to order at the table (without app).

Much better this week food was great and service was brilliant. But the week before we was going to eat in there on 16/01/2025 but was told it was fully booked. We walked around to the food area as we had a child with us and wasn’t allowed in the bar area and there was plenty of empty tables and only 2 with reservations on I’m sure they could have fit us in but the little lady on that evening was grumpy and unhelpful.

Great staff good food and great service good value for money

The food was lovely and served fast. The staff were amazing compliments to chef Nathan and the serves sue and Michelle they were fantastic throughout. Overall lovely day out and great place to eat. Would definitely recommend going here

Visited recently. Food took quite a while to come, and when it did come it was just warm rather than piping. Food itself wasn’t great, quite disappointing. Part of the order was wrong, but it took that long and the food was that poor that we didn’t see the point in raising it. Unfortunately this was my first experience at this restaurant, and based on the low quality of food, will most likely be the last.

What a lovely pub, it has an old-school feel about the place with very friendly and fun locals. The bar staff are lovely, definitely Sue, that was very attentive and friendly. Also, the pricing is very acceptable. We'll worth it to have a pint and a meal.

They turned down our group because the barmaid told us they stop serving food at 7:30. Seems really early time to finish and no wonder the place was dead. Disappointing.

Friendly and attentive staff. Place is clean, including the toilets. Great choices on the menu and sizzling plates are out of this world. Highly recommended and not too expensive. The service was great. The staff was lovely. The food was fabulous. We have booked again for Christmas Eve we loved it that much.

Great food friendly atmosphere always great

I don't often leave reviews but I had to. Me and my friends went for tea at the Wilton's Arms as it was recommended to us for doing good food. When we arrived the shift manager was very rude (lady with bun and wearing a green top) when we were looking for a table and insisted we wait for her to take us, after about 10 minutes. Not a smile, not polite and it wasn't as it was busy and she was rushed off her feet. We then sat down and ordered. The drinks that we ordered were flat and you could taste that the tap lines hadn't been cleaned. The food then arrived, the Caeser salad was warm for some reason resulting in it being very soggy. The mixed grill weirdly didn't come with a fried egg which was strange and they didn't offer it. The wrap that my friend ordered was hard, she couldn't bite into it and what she did taste was definitely stale. The manager throughout our stay was rude, abrupt and not welcoming in the slightest. It was a real shame as this was previously my friends favourite place when she visited last year but we all left very underwhelmed and unsatisfied.

Stopped for a quick meal and was very pleased with what we got. Had hunter's chicken and chicken sizzler and both were moist, tasty and hot. Total cost was just over £20 including a drink and I can highly recommend the place.

So went to the Wilton Arms Today with my daughter for a bit of lunch and a catch up. Free Carpark(But you have to enter your car registration as you enter the Pub otherwise you could get a ticket). Warm welcome ordered 2 pints of Madri and sat in the restaurant and had a look at the menu, Something for everyone, Great pint, Crisp and ice cold. For food my daughter ordered Hunters Chicken with chips and peas and I ordered the Double Chicken Burger with Dirty Kebab Fries(Hot sauce, Jalapeños) and a side order of Cheesy Garlic bread. Food was a generous portion, Well presented, hot and really tasty, My daughter really enjoyed her Hunters Chicken and cleaned her plate, My Burger meal was again very well presented, Generous portion, Food was really tasty and again I cleaned my plate l. Service was great, Polite and friendly staff, Pub, Bar and Restaurant were spotlessly clean, Food was delicious, Massive venue with a restaurant, Bar area etc. We highly recommend the Wilton Arms and very generous portions and great value for money. 5☆

Dump a really old local pub that only the locals would love

Came here today with my friend I ordered a chicken tikka masala and she ordered the chicken gyros platter, my food came and my curry was still frozen it was freezing Cold and was all lumped and frozen together which I sent back my friends Chicken gyros was like slop all mushy and has about 2 pieces of chicken when it was a platter? The young girl serving was helpful and took my food back and apologised but when my friend asked for more chicken was told that’s all you get for when my food came for the second time it wasn’t great and they then forgot my chips which I had to wait another 20 minutes for and we didn’t get offered a refund not a great experience😂

We received a friendly reception, but 1 of the meals we had (Chicken Gyros Wrap) was cold, with very few amount's of thinly sliced Chicken of poor quality. Certainly not worth the price paid. The other meal was fish and chips and although it was not cold it could have been hotter. It also had 2 different colours of garden peas, so obviously hashed up from older and newer supplies. The couple on a nearby table we noticed, was sat looking at their food on the serving table for 5 minutes after the chef had wrung the service bell as no staff appeared for that length of time. If it had been me I would have fetched it myself, but they didn't, so that wouldn't have been very warm when they finally received it.

My favourite pub by far the service and staff are fantastic Debbie the manager is the best manager always there to help when needed.still favourite pub and landlady

Party of 5 in a more or less empty restaurant., seated right next to the toilets on a sticky scruffy table. A shame.. Food was excellent, service was brilliant with a smile.

Went here for a bite to eat with my dad visiting from crewe. Staff were great explained there would be a wait which we were happy with. Waited to order as we knew it was because of a large table waited until their food come out and ordered. Was with us in no time at all. All lovely, enjoyed it there.

The food is normal pub grub, but it was good value the service was good and the staff were great.

We travel down to Manchester from Scotland on a regular basis and use the Wilton as or 'local' when we are there, love the atmosphere and friendly customers who we have been lucky enough to meet.

Couldn't fault anything staff was lovely and drink and food was perfect. Looking forward to my next visit

Called in Thursday 11/01 and started entering my car registration, in the middle of this a waitress came and asked if we had booked a table as they were fully booked,I said we haven't, but we then told that a table was available,so I finished entering the registration. I have to say we did have another nice meal and found the usual staff very pleasant. 2 weeks later I received a carpark fine from euro car parks for £100 stating I had parked without authorisation although obviously I didn't .After considering my options I ended up contacting the Wilton who said that if I paid them £10 cash they would be able to cancel the fine .So I went back to the Wilton and had the fine cancelled. If this is the way sizzling pubs treat their long standing customers then from now on we will be taking our custom elsewhere. Another point is where is the proof that I didn't register correctly.

Watched on closely as an absolute tool of a woman thought she could choose where her 7 guest should be able to sit after booking a table for two. It was 18.55 and the restaurant was partially closed off as it had been cleaned and prepped for the next day. The woman was adamant she wanted to sit in the closed part! 100 % causing trouble still adamant she was "entitled to sit where she chooses!! Absolute disgusting. I have been brought up to respect everyone and understand people have hard jobs and sometimes unfortunately you just don't get your way. The women dealing with this person handled the situation absolutely fantastic and are a credit to the company. They did everything in their power to engage and accommodate the family of 7 who had booked for two but in life we just can't please everyone. THE CUSTOMER IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT! thank you for your brilliant service.

Meal was worth the money and staff were great.

Nothing was great. We arrived to our prebooked table for a birthday. No one said a word to us then we proceeded to order via the app. No beef and no chicken dishes available. I had to go to the kitchen as there were no staff around. I asked re out of stock food based on the fact 7 people would likely order some version of beef or chicken, to be told no we’ve got none sorry. Maybe in future a little pre warning would’ve been nice either before we set off (we prebooked so this would be easy to get in touch) or at least let us know when we arrived.

Had a lovely and very reasonably priced lunch today with my husband and a friend. Everybody was happy with their food and the service. I have one niggling complaint. I had the veggie fajitas, which were great, and the extras came in little plastic containers (salsa, sour cream, jalapenos etc) which was disappointing. They are recyclable pots but it's a fact that most recyclable plastic doesn't actually end up being recycled. Why not use washable containers? Much better for the environment! Otherwise great, thank you.

Ideal for popping in for a few drinks. Restaurant used to be open until around 10pm but now shuts early so no opinion regarding food.

First time here for us. Called in on the spare of the moment for a Sunday lunch. Not the Sunday lunch we expected to get but a big variety of food available on the menu. The food was very good and well presented hot and quick. Would definitely go again and try some of the other dishes.

This pub is fantastic we visited on a Friday evening and the restaurant was very busy we were told there could be a 30 minute wait but our food arrived around w-minutes and to say this is a pub chain the food was excellent well presented and piping hot, the service was great from start to finish and to finish our evening we ended up staying until midnight as the atmosphere in the bar was fantastic a real community pub.

You're told at ordering no steaks as there was a problem with delivery then 3 people had a mixed grill! 🤔 when I went to the bar to state this I was told no steaks the size I wanted on an offer we had and no compromise was made! I said I'll pay the extra but was told no as it wouldn't go through the till. Ended up having chicken fajitas. 😏 Very dissapointed. Not for me thanks.

Lovely family pub, never been before but went for a family birthday had the jerk chicken skewers, which were delicious. Good prices and dessert of banoffee cheesecake delicious. Had a great time. Highly recommend

Not been in for a few years, but thought we'd give it a try. A vast improvement from last time and and run very efficiently. The only small criticism was that the chips weren't very hot. Will definitely start going back in again.
