Had some food there but the menu could be a bit better on a weekend it would be nice to have the choice of a club sandwich for instance little things like that do make a difference.

Came here on Sunday 4 August with my husband son daughter in law and 2 young grandchildren. The sausages on the children's meal you couldn't cut up as they were very hard. The chips were also hard. My son ordered a philly steak sandwich (rare) as they always overcook steak. It was very well done. Myself, I ordered the cajun chicken which was also very hard. I believe they have lost the chef and had we known this would probably have booked elsewhere. Not recommended unless proper chef in place. They took the children's meal off the bill, but I still think £63 is a little on the dear side considering. I think the food was forgotten about and left under a hot plate for a while.

Enjoyed our night out and the food was really nice, wanted the cheese and onion pie but unfortunately it had sold out. I had the Cajun chicken with chips and my Husband had a chicken burger, we were too full for dessert but will hopefully try one next time we visit

Took over 1 and half hours for food to be served extremely over priced too, £185.00 for 5 mains & 4 desserts and a few drinks, and staff to busy chatting to each other rather than paying attention to the customers, had to keep shouting them over. Needless to say will never be going back.

considering the place was quiet , service took a while. we had 2 large fish chips which were both overcooked. making the fish chewy. my mothers cheese onion pie apparently very nice

I recently dined at The Spring Inn and had a mixed experience. The service was excellent, with the highlight being our host, Melissa, who was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. The food itself was good, offering a variety of well-prepared dishes that were enjoyable. However, one downside was the slow delivery of the food to our table, which detracted from the overall dining experience. In summary, The Spring Inn provides great service and good food, but could improve on the speed of their kitchen. I would recommend it for those who prioritize excellent service and are willing to wait a bit for their meal.

Decent menu at a good price and cooked perfectly, great selection beers, lovely beer garden...What is there not to like?

Always friendly and yummy food.

Visited on Sunday with family for a roast. When we arrived, the restaurant had a number of large groups. The waitress informed us there was a wait, which was fine as we could see it was busy. Ordered our drinks, waited approximately 10 minutes for them to be brought to our table. The young man apologised about the wait, but again, the bar was busy, so it's to be expected. We ordered a mixture of mains, roasts, specials, steak, pie. All of it was delicious & enjoyed by all. The yorkies were so delicious. My Husband had the prawn & chorizo linguine, he said it was amazing. Everything about our visit was great, the food, service & staff who are always polite, friendly & smiling.

Very disappointing service. Booked a table for 6.15pm. Arrived no welcome from any staff. Found someone to tell them I had a booking. There was around 5 tables in when we arrived a couple of 8+ people on some tables, but they had all eaten by time we arrived. Average busyness I’d say. Waitress took our drinks order, waited around 30-35 minutes for drinks, and it’s only as I asked where our drinks where was this felt with! Then waited over 1.15 hrs for food to arrive. By this time was just 3 tables in the restaurant and only our table that had not had food. Spoke to a waitresses about it, was not interested whatsoever. I ordered steak sandwich and asked for no jalapeños and if could have mushrooms instead. Order arrived with jalapeños and no mushrooms. Finally found someone to irder more drinks with as would have been sat there waiting. Very poor service, food nothing to rave about. Won’t be returning

Popped in as new to the area. Loved the playground or should I say my grandson did. Had the steak and ale pie and my wife had the Philly cheese steak sandwich. Little one had fish bits and chips but was too busy playing on the playground. Would definitely recommend the Spring Inn for friendly service and good food. Thanks..

Excellent, we came here for dinner/ tea, and it was delicious. Staff friendly and very respectable and helpful. 100% we be coming here again.

Great venue, friendly staff, wonderful food

It was a Monday afternoon, so it was a little quiet. The food was cooked to perfection, and we both had the philly steak, so tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive, and overall, a really nice experience 👍 👌🏻

Nice place for a drink and food

Almost an hour for food to be served then some of the meal was undercooked. Been a lunchtime regular for years but doubt if we would go again.

I visited the Spring Inn on Friday evening for the 3rd time since moving to the area. Each time we have been the service is always friendly & professional & the food is beautiful. I have to say, I was disappointed on Friday by the rudeness of a group of people sat on next to us on the big oval table in the restaurant. The pub was extremely busy, the beer garden was packed! The young girl who sat them down explained how busy they were & there was approx a 1 hour wait on food, they said that was fine. After 45 mins or so, one of the group spoke to a supervisor or manager (I presume) & very rudely claimed that the girl hadn't told them there was a wait & wanted to cancel their order. She definitely did tell them as we could hear her. It was clear to everyone that the pub was busy & so you'd expect there to be a wait on food. I can't get over the rudeness of some people towards the staff.

Lovely place, just unfortunate that the food really let's it down. I ordered something very simple a tuna mayo sandwich with chips as last time I came I was 100% stuck so thought surely can't go wrong with a sandwich. I little bit of tuna mayo that looked really poor the amount and the look of it. Mound of skinny fries. Maybe less fries a nice side salad and definitely more filling inside the sandwich as that was supposed to be the main part. Unfortunately I didn't take photos I usually do when I'm showing off a beautiful meal. I was very disappointed after paying nearly £10 for a sandwich to be brought that

Absolutely ridiculous booked a table for 5.30 took our food order we was still waiting for food an hour later to be told it’s 2 hours customer service disgusting work in catering myself and that is unacceptable there was 4 adults and 2 children we had to leave after 1 hour 15 mins never go again shambles

My partner and I have just had a 3 course meal, and the food was nothing short of sensational!! Great, friendly service from Emma and Jake.. Will definitely be returning very soon! Only reason we haven't given 5 stars for service is because we had to chase the main meals, but overall, this was one of the best all-round meals we've had for a long, long time! DOG FRIENDLY TOO, WHICH IS ANOTHER BONUS!

Sorry i can't give a food recommendation,as i have only been here for a car club meeting, but being a Lees brewery menu,it's sure to be ok. We have only recently started meeting here,great for us,nice big carpark,nice that we can all sit together,bar prices are ok. With the ligher nights,warmer weather,hopefully we can get to enjoy the outside area..

Excellent pub. We visit a few times a year when we visit family. They're always very helpful, accommodating & friendly. We food is off a really high standard and it's always really relaxing.

1hr30 mins of a wait for food when told 45min in a nearly empty restaurant to receive burnt food I definitely won’t be eating here again

Lovely pub restaurant. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Recently went in for a late tea and had food from the cosy supper menu. It was delicious and reasonably priced and caters for all dietary requirements. We regularly attend the various events that are put on - bingo, quiznight, artists and enjoy them all. Great atmosphere. 😀😀 Plenty of parking, dog and child friendly and easily accessible for all

The service and the two staff members who dealt with us were exceptionally good, friendly, attentive and a credit to themselves. Food was nice and although I didn't have a beer it did look well kept. I would definitely visit again.

Fantastic Sunday lunch for nine family members. Food and service was excellent. Everybody loved the Sunday roast.

Had Christmas Dinner there & it was lovely. Atmosphere was great, food nice & service was good.

Family event. Staff really helpful and wanted to accommodate. Very busy and some delays in getting drinks. Food just slightly above average but made up for with overall atmosphere and pricing.

2 mains & 3 children's meals. I had mixed grill which for £18 was very acceptable & enjoyed. Daughter had a fish dish, can't recall which but looked very nice & equally enjoyed. Grandkids tucked into burgers & defo no complaints from them. All in all very good indeed

This is the third time I have returned to the UK for a family visit. For some reason my Mother always says, "we can go to The Spring Inn". Never again

Took my Fri for lunch on Tuesday. It was a little quiet. The food was good and I really enjoyed the homemade lasagne. Certainly a lovely meal and service. & Great tasting coffee ☕️

Nicely decorated pub restaurant. Service was excellent. Food was average at best, which was a shame as it could have been a great experience. coffee was good though.

Although quiet on a Tuesday evening a very warm was offered by Lewis and Joe. Gave me samples to try. Stayed on the j.w.lees bitter. During my visit it was bingo night. And still really pleased with my visit. Saying I havnt visited a jw Lees pub in over 40 years I will keep the spring Inn in my thoughts if I'm able to visit again

Just popped in for Friday night bite. I had sirloin which was great. Nicely cooked to medium. My mate had the Philli Cheese steak which was also good. Food was hot, service good. Much improved.

Went to the Halloween party and I have to say I was very impressed, lots to do for the kids (and they were well fed) and both the kids and adults got to hold a variety of creepy crawlies. A few of the adults even chose to have snakes round their neck which you don’t get to do often! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Well done for doing something a bit different, I think more pubs need that nowadays!

We went as a family to the Halloween Creepy Crawly event and it was fantastic value, the kids were fully entertained from start to finish and well fed, and the critters and creepy crawlies were fun for the adults too

So Saturday 28th October 2023 myself and my two children attended the creepy crafts & Crawley event. The staff had gone above and beyond. So well thought out. My children had so much fun with the arts and crafts. The Buffet was perfect. The creepy Crawley guy was fantastic. The animals were all adorable. He was so entertaining and funny. I couldn’t believe how good this event really was. We will 100% be returning to The Spring Inn in the future. I recommend anyone thinking of going to any event like this then go for Thank you to all staff for all their hard work. The creepy Crawley guy you was fantastic…

Just been in for the arts and craft afternoon for the Halloween. My son loved it, had loads of craft stuff then a more than ample buffet for the kids. All finished off with a great animal display with creepy crawlies and even a big snake. My son absolutely loved it and was very well priced and naturally I enjoyed it as I got to have a few pints.

Attended the pumpkin carving and was gobsmacked it wasn't sold out £3 per child and the pumpkin is emptied (the worst bit) and kids were provided equipment to cut it out. Cheaper than buying uoir own pumpkin and cutting set on no mess in your own home. Attended the Halloween party the day after and it was great. Kids did some.lovely crafts, had food (a really nice buffet with lots of choice) and then they gorgeous to hold and touch a variety.of animals and creepy crawlies, so much fun and for £12.95 it was great. We have been to.quite. few events at the pub and the have all been really good. Staff are always lovely and the kids enjoy it so much.

Went for first time from recommendations! Nice place, very slow service at lunch time! Not many people in! Food ok but some issues! Cheese sauce watery and cheeseless! Fish not the best. Waiting for ages for everything! Dont think will go again.

I'd been during the summer and sat in the very nice beer garden, but as the weather was a bit cooler we sat inside. We were shown to our table and explained about the menu offers, we were asked if we wanted any drinks while looking at the menu. We chose from the 2 for under £20 offer, I had the Chicken and Bbq bacon with Fries and peas. My friend had Ham and Fries with peas, the service was very good (a friend of ours from Rochdale Afc Football) and the food was great value for a lunchtime menu. We didn't want any deserts as we were full from the food, we paid and left. Would go again? Definitely.

Food drinks and service all very good would call again worth a visit.

Great place to go for food and drink

Visited today to get the roast dinner, first of all I couldn't get through on the phone I tried three times to call and kept getting cut off. When we were seated another couple came in and were waited on before us, this wouldn't usually be an issue for me however we wanted to order roast dinners and were told there was only one left, I instead tried to order two other items from the menu only to be told they weren't available either. Then the waitress went home and didn't inform anyone else that we needed to be served, we left shortly after that never to return!

Didn't expect a balmy evening there in September. Sat in the garden all night.

Had a really lovely meal at the Spring Inn with my husband and grandson. Very quick service. Food was out of this world and staff courteous, attentive and friendly.

Been here several times but our visit yesterday was poor. Pre-booked but had to wait for table to be set. Waitress came for food order before we had even placed a drinks order. There were not enough staff and it was extremely busy. Very noisy. I am all in favour of dogs being allowed in but sitting listening to a dog barking constantly was rediculus. The food took ages to arrive and the waitress literally left all the cutlery in a pile for us to do. I don't know what has happened to this place but it is a shame. We have had some really nice meals here in the past but yesterday has put us off going again and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Emma served myself and four pre-teen children, Emma was incredibly patient, calm, attentive and very helpful. Emma recommended the sautéed chicken flatbread (her go-to-choice) which was yummy. The food is cooked with care and will have your taste buds dancing for joy! Good value compared to others and a lovely warm atmosphere; the little ones also love the well-equipped play area... well worth a visit if you're in the area :)

Great service, cracking mixed grill

We went here for my dads birthday dinner on a Saturday, unfortunately due to the limited menu at the weekend two of our party had to settle for some fries and cheesy garlic bread for our mains which was disappointing. The food was nice and well cooked. Service was good, the staff were lovely. We had 4 adults and 2 children in our party with a cost of £145 for our meals, dessert and drinks. Unfortunately don’t think we will visit again due to the limited menu.

What a lovely place to visit. It's refreshing to enjoy a beautifully cooked meal in a homely environment where you feel so welcomed and looked after. The staff are so kind and helpful, ensuring your dining experience is enjoyable, which it is. Lovely food,friendly service all you need when you go for a late lunch.

We decided to celebrate 2 family birthdays at The Spring Inn on Sunday 30/07/2023. I cant thank Tricia, Loz and the team enough for how they looked after us all and it was no easy task given that there were 36 of us to feed. The food was delicious and piping hot and not one complaint. The red cabbage was especially good :) Will deffo consider The Spring Inn for future celebrations.

Great food, family-orientated and friendly service. The inside is spacious, airy and bright and has a lovely atmosphere. Plenty of seating inside and has some seating outdoors, too. Will come again

We went for lunch on Sunday25th June and thoroughly enjoyed both the meal and the service. One highlight was Jacob who was extremely engaging and attentive, nothing was too much trouble for him.He is a real asset to the team.

Full of local pretentious types who look down there noses as you walk in …. It’s a Lees pub for gods sake ! Unfortunately young bar staff very young and no idea what they are doing ! Food ordered but on par with weatherspoons but twice the price . Outside area quite nice but full of chavs from nearby turf hill . Very much feel outsiders visiting this pub . You have the locals from the private estate and the chavs from the council estate and boy are the lines drawn ! Not for me poor food . Awful locals just a very a very average pub. Food dull old overcooked tasteless . DO NOT EAT HERE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ! Note from landlord to call and discuss ! You know what issues you have ! Lovely pub , nice location but full of chavs off council estate and tin pot millionaires thinking they are something in little cliques. Food terrible . No way will I be back truly awful experience and a large bill too Was passing again today 12/06/23 decided which drink as hot day just been to local weatherspoons paid £3. 35 for a half coors lager and a pint of sommefield cider came here it was £7.85 !! Disgraceful prices . One positive was the bar maid with red hair a young girl she was pleasant fast and efficient. Loud bald hobbit at the bar obviously local taking an age to order keeping everybody waiting . Expensive prices and annoying locals spoil this pub plus the loud woman going around shouting to staff “ no food after 730” annoying especially as only food being served whilst I was there was ice cream for bald hobbits daughter.. you would think they would be trying to push the food but it’s clear word is out the food is poor. Said it last time I won’t be back probably mean it this time. Annoying place

Very good if you want something overall

We had the pleasure of a great day for me and my family, its a dog friendly pub where the food is cooked perfectly, and the bar man Harry was very helpful, the atmosphere was such a delight, the service was fast, i cannot complain at all. Would highly recommend to go there.

100% place, facilities, playground, fabulously friendly staff. Outdoor heaters and a safe large area and playground for kids of all ages.

If you are looking for a great pub which is dog friendly this is the place to go to rest your feet and paws after a long walk. Great food, good beer and welcoming staff. They even watch over your pooch if you need to nip to the loo!

The venue is fab for kids, excellent playing facilities and loads of space for them to just run around and be kids, but the food was super average and left so much to be desired. The chips on all of our meals tasted like they were straight out of a frozen bag, all of our meat was overcooked, and the fat on my husband's gammon wasn't rendered properly so it was inedible. Also was a bit weird to have your server bring your food to the table, then tell you where to go and find your own cutlery. Overall, a very average way to spend £50 for three meals and drinks on a Sunday.

Rushed in wednesday night with my son after been late home from work was met by friendly staff. The young girl who served us was outstanding involved my son and also complemented his manners. The chap who braught the food out was rather quick, again was brilliant. Can’t fault the the place or the staff one bit. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 more then likely see you guys soon Thank you
