Great place to go we meet our daughter here for lunch as she lives in Leeds and it’s a halfway meeting point for us .The food is great we came on a Sunday last time and I can highly recommend the Sunday roast always a great service and fabulous staff and they are also dog friendly which is another bonus

Nice pub, nice people just usual too expensive Lees pubs, dear beer, dear food. I mean eighteen quid for a burger... In Rochdale, £5.35 for a pint of craft.

I can’t recommend The Spring Inn highly enough. The food was absolutely amazing – every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. You can really tell they care about quality. The drink selection was equally impressive, with a great variety of options to suit any taste – from local craft beers to expertly mixed cocktails. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making the whole visit feel warm and relaxed. Whether you’re just popping in for a drink or sitting down for a full meal, you’ll be well looked after here. Can’t wait to come back!

Waitress was lovely (Scottish girl) very friendly & polite, helpful. Food very expensive and not that great, 6/10 at most. Dog friendly is a plus, our dog was at home on this occasion but it is dog friendly. Probably nice for a drink outside in the summer but wouldn't recommend it for a meal out I'm afraid.

I came here on the lovely sunny friday and the staff working were absolutely amazing, even though it was extremely busy the staff were quick and cheery. Lovely place to visit with a nice beer garden, I will definitely be back!

I have been to the spring inn loads of times over the years with the grandchildren to play in the outside area and been for meals with them also been numerous times as a couple . We have found the dogs that are allowed in getting out of control , if they are not barking constantly or trying to fight each other they are howling , which we found on Friday 4/4/25 , this has been going on for ages . Also since the new couple took over the music has been so loud over the speakers . Now the food has never been great here but it was awful this Friday the large fish was 75% batter and not vey fresh our other meals were very over priced , I didnt complain due to it being vey busy . All in all , food average , food expensive , drinks very expensive , music to loud , and worst of all dogs barking ,howling and trying to fight each other .

This is a good place to have drinks with family and friends, it’s got a good atmosphere and the hospitality is very good, I got my food and drinks with a smile and a good conversation by a girl called liv, she made me feel like coming again, I would highly recommend

Just a quick visit for a beer. Very nice. Will come back. We use this pub as a regular eat out place. The food has always been good and the staff are friendly and efficient. Recommended. A while after my last comment. Visited last week for a meal. All good pub stuff. Good service and still recommended.

Rang up to see if there was availability for 3 people and a dog, the lady I spoke to said yes but we don't book in the bar area, but she said turn up we have plenty of availability. We arrived 5 minutes later and there wasn't a single table available. We explained that we had just ranlg to check availability and the staff just shrugged it off. No sorry, no nothing. Appalling people skills.

Beautifully looking pub, wonderful atmosphere and delicious pints and food. The garden looks like a perfect place for family picnic! Will have to come back here in summer to enjoy some pints and sun! There is a small corner with a real fireplace which makes it even more perfect for boardgames for example. Highly recommend!

New owners, new review, a lot better with the new owners, not eaten in here yet with new owner in place so can't rate the food, when I do I will. Service was quick, atmosphere was very good 👍🏻 Update, we ate here last night, we came in for our youngest sons 8th birthday meal, a nice busy, bustling atmosphere, the food, drink and staff were are very nice. Absolutely loved my experience at Spring inn restaurant! The landlady creates such a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The decor is tasteful and adds to the overall charm of the place. Plus, the food is simply beautiful-both in presentation and flavor. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a lunch out!

Went with a party of 16 on Boxing Day. They said they had not received pre-ordered meals for everyone. I find this hard to believe as our part of the order was for 6 meals, of which 2 were for steak and ale pie which they denied receiving. Other members of the party also had their orders missing. After finally receiving this meal when everyone else was ordering deserts, we found this to be inedible. The steak pie which arrived was dry meat in a pie containing no onions or moisture whatsoever, and the meat at the edges was burnt. This was sent back and we were given no alternative. We obviously did not pay. We will not be returning here again!

We went for Christmas dinner here and wasn't disappointed with anything. The service is brilliant from the minute you walk in and the food was perfect 10/10 for what we ordered. We had no issues with this place and instead of trying a new place for Christmas dinner next year we have spoken about going again.

The recent turn around in the Spring Inn has been remarkable. Mags and Matt, who seem to have made it their ambition to turn this once neglected eatery into a great family orientated establishment have been so successful! We stayed today for Christmas Dinner . . . albeit reluctantly after our mediocre Christmas Dinner experience with the previous management in December 2023, prior to the arrival of Mags and Matt. We do not regret having our Christmas Dinner at the Spring Inn this year! This year's excellent festive experience can be attributed to: 1) Happy, pleasant and well-motivated 0staff, effectively managed by Mags and Matt, 2) Beautifully prepared, presented, and cooked food. 3) I noticed today how Matt concentrated on the efficient management of the bar staff, and Mags made sure the chefs and restaurant staff were organised and made sure that all tables were looked after, with no-one kept waiting. The pub has been tastefully decorated for the Festive season; it is neither overpowering nor excessive. The management style of Mags and Matt appears to revolve around the setting of high standards, and an insistence on maintaining those high standards. All the staff are friendly and helpful. They clearly want to please the public and apparent relationships with Management are mutually supportive. We are so pleased we entrusted our Christmas Day dinner to John Willie Lees, just the extra time, after the mediocre experience last year. And now? We'll be back! Thank you everyone today for the welcome you gave to my wife, my mum in-law and me.

Went as part of a large group for a Christmas do and the food was amazing. As a veggie it often feels like an add on choice but the chef made a belter of a burger and I loved every bit. My friend's steak was cooked how he liked it too - reall care went into the meal.

Amazing food & service, friendly staff & reasonable prices. We had a large Christmas party of 30 people & nothing was a problem. The chocolate brownie was to die for 😻! Would highly recommend.

Had a group Christmas meal last night I haven’t been spring inn for a few years now, but last night every dish we had was amazing and cooked to perfection! Service was really good (30 people that night to feed) best steak I’ve had and the Oreo cheesecake I had WOW! Honestly was amazing 10 out of 10 for the food, service, everything! Definitely going again soon!

Had our Christmas party here yesterday - nothing was too much for the staff - the food was top notch by Nathaniel and co in the kitchen, the roast chicken dinner was huge and very tasty ! Definitely coming back to try the steak and ale pie! We were a large group and they made sure everything ran smoothly with the waiting staff being lovely and polite and helpful! Thanks for a lovely evening !

Recently been to the The Spring Inn we went for a family meal. The food was outstanding the service staff are so polite and accomadate to your ever need, the new owners Matt and Maggs are such a delight to yet to know and are happy tobchat andbget to know you and treat you like family, we will definitely be back soon.

10/10 what a fantastic place! Our first time visiting, during the markets and it was so busy. The food was still excellent and the servers were just as lovely. Special shout to the lovely girl on the stall, Heather I think her name was. What a credit to the company! So friendly and approachable. Asked for suggestions for favourite meals and she did not disappoint. She deserves a pay rise.

Popped in for lunch with family. Very efficient service, and lovely server called Olivia. We had a variety of starters which the chef made gluten free as 2 of us had intolerances.

Sorry i can't give a food recommendation,as i have only been here for a car club meeting, but being a Lees brewery menu,it's sure to be ok. We have only recently started meeting here,great for us,nice big carpark,nice that we can all sit together,bar prices are ok. With the ligher nights,warmer weather,hopefully we can get to enjoy the outside area..

I had my 21st party here this weekend. Ideal venue as the staff were very accommodating, excellent food and a great atmosphere. They also had a dj in for the night which was a great addition to a brilliant party!

What a difference the new landlord and landlady have made to the atmosphere. Also having eaten a couple of times since the change the food is now of a good standard. Very friendly pub to visit for a night out.

My wife and I enjoyed a very nice Sunday roast, which was delicious! We were served by Katie G and Olivier, who were both very efficient and friendly and looked after us very well. We dine there frequently, and find it even better under new management.

A cold buffet was good but I am not a fan of cold, savory pastry. The quiche looked wonderful but would have been much better served warm. Otherwise a great place to eat and drink.

Good place, own brand lager as well as branded ones. Food on this occasion took almost 45 minutes for 2 mains, despite only being 2 tables in the restaurant and the entire place being half empty

Went for Drinks & Nibbles with Friends. Had a great night. Pub looks really cosy with Autumn decorations and getting ready for Halloween. Nice warm & friendly atmosphere too. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely place to eat. Atmosphere is quite & pleasant. Staff are warm & friendly. The food dishes are all delicious, but knocked a star off as the menu isn't full of variety and quite limited. Would eat here again and recommend to friends and family.

Had some food there but the menu could be a bit better on a weekend it would be nice to have the choice of a club sandwich for instance little things like that do make a difference.

Came here on Sunday 4 August with my husband son daughter in law and 2 young grandchildren. The sausages on the children's meal you couldn't cut up as they were very hard. The chips were also hard. My son ordered a philly steak sandwich (rare) as they always overcook steak. It was very well done. Myself, I ordered the cajun chicken which was also very hard. I believe they have lost the chef and had we known this would probably have booked elsewhere. Not recommended unless proper chef in place. They took the children's meal off the bill, but I still think £63 is a little on the dear side considering. I think the food was forgotten about and left under a hot plate for a while.

Enjoyed our night out and the food was really nice, wanted the cheese and onion pie but unfortunately it had sold out. I had the Cajun chicken with chips and my Husband had a chicken burger, we were too full for dessert but will hopefully try one next time we visit

Took over 1 and half hours for food to be served extremely over priced too, £185.00 for 5 mains & 4 desserts and a few drinks, and staff to busy chatting to each other rather than paying attention to the customers, had to keep shouting them over. Needless to say will never be going back.

I recently dined at The Spring Inn and had a mixed experience. The service was excellent, with the highlight being our host, Melissa, who was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. The food itself was good, offering a variety of well-prepared dishes that were enjoyable. However, one downside was the slow delivery of the food to our table, which detracted from the overall dining experience. In summary, The Spring Inn provides great service and good food, but could improve on the speed of their kitchen. I would recommend it for those who prioritize excellent service and are willing to wait a bit for their meal.

Visited on Sunday with family for a roast. When we arrived, the restaurant had a number of large groups. The waitress informed us there was a wait, which was fine as we could see it was busy. Ordered our drinks, waited approximately 10 minutes for them to be brought to our table. The young man apologised about the wait, but again, the bar was busy, so it's to be expected. We ordered a mixture of mains, roasts, specials, steak, pie. All of it was delicious & enjoyed by all. The yorkies were so delicious. My Husband had the prawn & chorizo linguine, he said it was amazing. Everything about our visit was great, the food, service & staff who are always polite, friendly & smiling.

Very disappointing service. Booked a table for 6.15pm. Arrived no welcome from any staff. Found someone to tell them I had a booking. There was around 5 tables in when we arrived a couple of 8+ people on some tables, but they had all eaten by time we arrived. Average busyness I’d say. Waitress took our drinks order, waited around 30-35 minutes for drinks, and it’s only as I asked where our drinks where was this felt with! Then waited over 1.15 hrs for food to arrive. By this time was just 3 tables in the restaurant and only our table that had not had food. Spoke to a waitresses about it, was not interested whatsoever. I ordered steak sandwich and asked for no jalapeños and if could have mushrooms instead. Order arrived with jalapeños and no mushrooms. Finally found someone to irder more drinks with as would have been sat there waiting. Very poor service, food nothing to rave about. Won’t be returning

Popped in as new to the area. Loved the playground or should I say my grandson did. Had the steak and ale pie and my wife had the Philly cheese steak sandwich. Little one had fish bits and chips but was too busy playing on the playground. Would definitely recommend the Spring Inn for friendly service and good food. Thanks..

It was a Monday afternoon, so it was a little quiet. The food was cooked to perfection, and we both had the philly steak, so tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive, and overall, a really nice experience 👍 👌🏻

Nice place for a drink and food

Almost an hour for food to be served then some of the meal was undercooked. Been a lunchtime regular for years but doubt if we would go again.

I visited the Spring Inn on Friday evening for the 3rd time since moving to the area. Each time we have been the service is always friendly & professional & the food is beautiful. I have to say, I was disappointed on Friday by the rudeness of a group of people sat on next to us on the big oval table in the restaurant. The pub was extremely busy, the beer garden was packed! The young girl who sat them down explained how busy they were & there was approx a 1 hour wait on food, they said that was fine. After 45 mins or so, one of the group spoke to a supervisor or manager (I presume) & very rudely claimed that the girl hadn't told them there was a wait & wanted to cancel their order. She definitely did tell them as we could hear her. It was clear to everyone that the pub was busy & so you'd expect there to be a wait on food. I can't get over the rudeness of some people towards the staff.

Lovely place, just unfortunate that the food really let's it down. I ordered something very simple a tuna mayo sandwich with chips as last time I came I was 100% stuck so thought surely can't go wrong with a sandwich. I little bit of tuna mayo that looked really poor the amount and the look of it. Mound of skinny fries. Maybe less fries a nice side salad and definitely more filling inside the sandwich as that was supposed to be the main part. Unfortunately I didn't take photos I usually do when I'm showing off a beautiful meal. I was very disappointed after paying nearly £10 for a sandwich to be brought that

Absolutely ridiculous booked a table for 5.30 took our food order we was still waiting for food an hour later to be told it’s 2 hours customer service disgusting work in catering myself and that is unacceptable there was 4 adults and 2 children we had to leave after 1 hour 15 mins never go again shambles

My partner and I have just had a 3 course meal, and the food was nothing short of sensational!! Great, friendly service from Emma and Jake.. Will definitely be returning very soon! Only reason we haven't given 5 stars for service is because we had to chase the main meals, but overall, this was one of the best all-round meals we've had for a long, long time! DOG FRIENDLY TOO, WHICH IS ANOTHER BONUS!

Lovely pub restaurant. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Recently went in for a late tea and had food from the cosy supper menu. It was delicious and reasonably priced and caters for all dietary requirements. We regularly attend the various events that are put on - bingo, quiznight, artists and enjoy them all. Great atmosphere. 😀😀 Plenty of parking, dog and child friendly and easily accessible for all
