Crispy Cod in Rochdale

One of the best fish i ever had. Normally fish is full of batter and this is less batter and good taste. Curry is too good. I must say they know what they are delivering.

The menu on just eat is a blatant lie it says free delivery but then charges you and in the cost of living crisis that lying delivery charge is offensive

Ordered via just eat as I had friends round and we fancied fish and chips. Food arrived very late should have been delivered at 8 came at 9. Driver said he was late cos of road works as they were making bike lanes. Felt sorry for him as he looked frightened to death. Like a rabbit caught in the headlights. That will be because we rang many time to ask for our food to be delivered. Upon arrival the fish was huge but food was luke warm. Needless to say we will not be ordering from you again.

Order said collection would be ready for 16:15 stood around for another 40 mins before passed food to get home to this state. Food burnt, chicken nuggets were not eligible.

the food was absolutely rank tasted like 💩 burger was rock hard and chips were soggy ew and the driver was half lost and half asleep he was driving a taxi for another company? He was so rude and the service was absolutely rubbish and slow my order came after and hour and when i rang them to ask about my order they hung up on me. So bad never order from crispy cod it used to be so good but a new owner came and ruined the place absolutely ridiculous

This pizzia is the best in Rochdale! Ive made a few orders now,food is always piping hot and nice and fresh...The delivery guy is awesome such a lovely man thank you..!

i ordered food 4 hours ago and still not arrived I’ve rang the restaurant several times and Everytime they tell me it’s going to be 10 mins, then we ring them 45 mins later and they say it’s been “delivered”but we haven’t received anything and then they said it will be another 1hr 30 wait as they need to make the food,we asked the cancel the order and the restaurant refused to refund and said there is no way to cancel order or refund order ,wouldn’t eat from here ,disgusting customer service skills,wouldn’t recommend even trying to order from them again,shocking!!

We have ordered Fish and chips from here several times. Delivered quickly hot and fresh. Great size portions too.

Just ordered a challenger kebab yet the kebab meet looks and taste like rubber and not fresh the chicken also isn’t fresh but the chips are probably the best but about them

The potion of chips I received had around 40% of dy sharo litle bits other were greasy with a fair few eyes in the potato. ( have a picture as proof of all the bits if required.

Just ordered PLAIN BURGERgot lettuce n mayo on. Gravy was disgusting. Lumpy n would need a knife to get outta tub . Tasted disgusting. French fries were ok but chippy chips raw n looked anemiac. Wont be ordering from there again!!

After reading other reviews, I was somewhat put off ordering from Crispy Cod. However, I was really fancying proper "chippy chips" with a battered sausage, so I went ahead & ordered from them. The food was excellent. Hot & fresh, good portion sizes & delivery was super quick. If you want British chippy style food delivered & live in the Rochdale area, give Crispy Cod a go. You won't be disappointed!

Portion sizes are rubbish, large chips arnt large, kebab had a few slithers of meat in (all salad)wrong pie,,gravy tastes of powder(nothing else)1st and last time i will order food from this place...

Rang order direct, card payment on delivery, freindly staff, absolutely amazing food will definitely reccomend

2 hours from ordering and still no sign of delivery! Called the restaurant who assured me it was on its way 45minutes later shows up cold. Restaurant no longer answering their calls conveniently. Very poor service. I appreciate times are hard but jesus!!

I would give this website a minus rating if I could. Twice now I have ordered fish & chips, have paid for them with a debit card and the twenty minutes before delivery have received a message that my order has been cancelled, with no explanation why!!

Absolutly disgusting the meat had defiantly been there for days. I feel sick now the chips are frozen chips and they put the prices up get uzzy back never had this problem with him. Needs shutting down

Gone down hill quicker than a freight train with no brakes since new lot took over, ordered chicken from here on Tuesday spent every spare moment on the toilet since and only had two bites of it clearly very under cooked as it was still pink, on the inside, the speed in which this place as gone down is unbelievable I used this place regularly because it was cheap but still very nice, never again, pay that little bit extra and go up the road to upper crust at least they don’t poison you!

Ordered from here yesterday. Order was wrong took them another hour to rectify and found cotton in the garlic cheese bread

very concerned bought a donner burger with chips and a 2 piece chicken with chips. chips were really nice but donner meat on burger was burnt to the taste and felt like the sauce requested was used to drown at the taste of burnt donner meat. my partner had the 2 piece chicken and i did not let her eat as i felt that because she is pregnant could of caused serious harm and as a trained chef I am very worried that this place is allowed to cook food and think it needs a serious visit form food hygiene i feel like if i had allowed my partner to eat the meal provided she would be very ill right now what an outrageous business to let food go out i such a poor quality aspect i hope this is sorted out asap as i say the chips really nice and that was the only nice thing about it i really think that this establishment needs to check and recap the chefs training food handling and all around haccp analysis when dealing with grulls and deep fried food I am very unsatisfied with what we ordered and what was delivered . bottom line not even 1 star the chef needs to go back to college and get a approved education before even considering hand out delivered goods, not happy at all owners feel free to contact me I'm a fully trained chef and can offer advice for something you could atleast call a 3 star instead of the minus 1 it actually deserves for food quality after the reheating of meat which has definitely been frozen before hand and just frown in a half heated fryer.

THE CRAPPEST TAKEAWAY IN MID!, sausage was over done and with a black lump, chips came with vinegar of which i am allergic and asked for without, and a portion of gravy that barely lasts for 1 person never mind 2 with 2 orders of gravy, and no tray for my chip muffin sausage and gravy all indivually wrapped no tray? ya wut

This has now been taken over by new owners. We used to love eating from here but on the two occasions we have ordered since, the food is disgusting and has been uncooked on both occasions with pizza base just like dough. Their attitude is terrible too - arguing on the phone and refusing to replace. Never again!

AVIOD!!! Absolutely rubbish since the new owners took over. Food undercooked and they mess up your order everytime! I was sick for 48 hours after the last time I ate there.

New owners can't cook for the life of them. Food was inedible and because I left a review on just eat they turned up in a threatening manner at my front door!

Never again will I order from here ordered pizzas for kids and it wasn't even cooked the base was stodgy so I rang and told them the food wasn't cooked so they said they will send another 2 pizzas out of what we ordered and would be with us in 20 minutes I gave it 45 minutes and rang then because still hadn't arrived tgey guy said he was on his way should be there soon 15 minutes later still not here so my partner rang up and they tried saying they was knocking on our door 20 minutes but at a total different address even though they had already delivered once today already a load of crap tge guy ends up turning up 1 hour 15 minutes later with the other pizzas so I checked it whilst he was there and showed him the uncooked pizza and the ones he brought was exactly the same but he was trying to say it's fine so I told him to take a bite there's no way I was letting my kids eat uncooked pizza absolute joke that you sell uncooked food to people we told him to take the pizza and when we came inside he was round my back trying to put it in my bins cheeky get who even does that tour place should be shut down selling uncooked food my kids went without food from 4.30 when I ordered up until 7.15 I ended up throwing all of the other stuff in the bin becaise chips where freezing by time 2nd pizzas came also I got in touch with just eat about this and they contacted you about a refund and u declined if anything you should of offered a refund no food got eaten because whoever cooks it doesn't know how to cook but just eat have ended up giving ke a voucher in the amount which was nice of them but noway will I ever order from u again

Absolute disgrace asked for a single chicken burger meal only revived burger and a can of pop when i rang to question was immediately shut down saying it was my error and i hadnt ordered the correct thing i explained I wanted a single burger meal not a double he insisted I ordered just a burger which I then asked why i had received a can of pop which comes with a meal he then hung up and won't answer my call

Very disappointed. This was our favourite chippy. They've increased the prices, some of them 50%. But when our order arrived the portions were much smaller than they've been in the past. It seems that the new owners are already in.
