The Harbord Harbord in Rochdale

Absolutely amazing place. Food is hot and fresh, without having to wait too long for it. The lady that brought us the food was soo cheerful and helpful. Amazing atmosphere.

Much like any Wetherspoon's but staff very friendly and seating in some nice, cosy little nooks. We'll worth a visit.

I've visited a few Wetherspoon's in Manchester only. This restaurant's dishes are the best.

Classic English pub.. You can't miss visiting one

Didn't have food just a few beers atmosphere was relaxed and its a good meeting piont for a an hour.

We are 4 mature ladies who visit Harboard Harboard in Middleton regularly . 3 of us today had the Christmas meal and was very disappointed there was no roast potatoes and Brussels sprouts . We all felt it wasn’t value for money.We feel the quality of food served at Wetherspoons has gone down in value . A few weeks ago we had the steak special on a Tuesday and the steak was all Gristle and we had asked for one to be well done and it came with blood showing . To be fair the manager did refund us for both the food and drinks we purchased but are seriously considering to find somewhere else for our Ladies lunch . Unfortunately the cheap drinks didn’t compensate for the food .

Great breakfast, cheap as chips, nice and quiet. Definitely always my favourite place when I want a full English!

The food is tasty and inexpensive. They have a couple of vegetarian options. They have a children's menu if you find it. You can order on app or paper menu at bar. Family friendly during the day but it was a bit rowdy with the adults. Service was friendly just hard to come by as it was busy. Be careful of chewing gum, not the pubs fault but I despise gum.

It's never going to be fine dining but for just over £14.00 for two pudding, chips, peas and gravy and two huge soft drinks you can't go wrong. We were even asked if our food was OK part way through the meal and the plates were cleared straight away. Great value!

Good pub ideal for students to go and meet there friends and goo for other ages as well.

Really nice steak ! Also, Moorehouse's Pendle Witch brew on tap at £1.99 a pint. Can't go wrong.

Speedy service, efficient staff and tables kept cleared and wiped. Very busy with a steady stream of customers. Food was piping hot and ser Ed with a smile. Parking not easy to find. Had all day brunch. They do have the American Pancake Breakfast which was great news to us, we ate in the evening.

A recent addition to the 2025 Good Beer Guide. Not the greatest of choices of cask ale but what I had was on fine form.

Sorry I can't tell you more about the food has I had none,but my friends had the breakfast and it looked very nice,I had a few soft drinks and everything else was very good

Asked for a well done steak came as a medium to well cooked didn’t complain as was both hungry and staff seemed busy and didn’t want to wait any longer for another steak bit disappointed I must say!! Good job not a restaurant critic????

Always busy just usual Costa coffee shop always busy. Nice to have somewhere with a bit of class in Middleton

Very busy pub, but mostly drinking so our food was delivered quickly piping hot, we were a table of 6 and all were served together, which was good. It would have been 5 stars for food, but the desserts let them down, bowls of ice cream came out like soup with Spoons still with the last person's food on. 🤢 Would definitely eat here again but stay away from the ice cream. 😂

This is one of the best Wetherspoons in the area. I love this pub. They a great staff member and they great service when I went.

The steaks on the menu are delicious and cooked to order. The price is very good and great value. The flavour of the steaks never let you down. Some very tasty craft beers too.

Very busy when I visited. Table was a bit tatty. Served fairly quickly, decent pint. Typical spoons pub, cheap and cheerful. I wouldn’t order food.

Nice staff, good food and drinks great prices

Forgot the food order. Then promised time frame to sort it was not kept. The time frame was very important to us given we had a event to attend. In the end we waited 1h 15. When food came it was very mixed. Egg mayo baguette was nice. So was the pie. The pork and stuffing baguette wasn't great. Others in our group had mixed views too. The building is charming and the beer garden was nice. The young lady who chased our order was also lovely. If in the area we won't return.

It's a Spoons it was like walking into an old wild West bar and the music stops and everyone turns round and looks at you 😀 and I've lived here all my life

On Friday the 5th of April the morning staff served 2 people before my dad who was there first, on the way out the delusional staff was convinced he wasn't before the other 2 customers, causing a tesco breakfast instead. Going down hill

A typical Wetherspoons. Busy but relatively relaxed and easy to order when using the app. Order from your table and have it brought to you and save trying to get noticed at the bar and carrying drinks a a busy bar. The food is good and the portions are small but adequate (extras can be ordered). With plenty of deals on food and drink it's an ideal stop off for a bite to eat and drink.

True to often naming a Wetherspoon's after someone from or significant to, the local area, the Harbord Harbord is named after the 1st Baron Suffield. His connection to Middleton was that he married Mary Assheton, dau. of sir Ralph Assheton & she was not only born and baptised in Middleton she inherited her fathers Middleton estate on his death. This made H.Harbord Lord of the Manor. Other than that, his repeated uncommon name no doubt makes it more interesting and more easily remembered! The H.Harbord is located in a row of shops on Long St and is pretty standard for a Wetherspoons. There is a long bar area, two coffee machines (towards the back) and the toilets are on the ground floor. There's no second floor though the seating is split between a few lower level tables & the others on a slightly raised area. As there is only a single floor, it can get rather busy depending on the time of day.

Bloody freezing in here. Everyone sat around in coats shivering. Draughty single glazed doors. Needs a refurb Tim!

Went for a meal here and ordered 2 x American burgers 🍔...when we got then they were completely inedible the meat was off and they had smeared it all in mustard to cover up the gone off meat ..the manager was very rude to me when I mentioned it and basically told me you get what you pay for. Will never eat there ever again.

Had a great night out with a decent meal to start it out. Only thing was that one of the waiters kept farting as he walked past. Pretty funny though can't lie

We took a trip to Middleton so we decided to come in here. I had a blue lagoon pitcher my OH had bitter. Nice and clean place. Quick service.

The customer service here was amazing the server callum was especially great he microwaved the ketchup for me exactly to my specifications. Great time!

Don't bother if you're not a regular (eg, banging on the shutters at opening time), you will be invisible! People who arrive at the bar several minutes after you will be served before you. Staff will take orders over your head rather than serve you. Prices aren't particularly cheap for Middleton . Place is tiered and needs a refurbishment urgently. Not a patch on the Spoons in Bury, Rochdale, or Manchester .

It's a Wetherspoons, so you always get fair prices and good food. It really doesn't have an atmosphere but there is no negative vibe.

Got here and wanted food, there was a sign on till saying grills not working..so we waited to find out what was happening, the shift manager in the kitchen kept me well informed and eventually we ordered food and got sorted out, so thank you!

Staff are a joke big lad in charge is ignorant every time it rains roof leaks and shut the bar once the regulars have been served avoid it like the plague

Staff aren't great , the old guy who runs it has a bad attitude, stinks and it's boring. But the beers cheap so that makes up for it. If your going for a decent drink and a bit of a crawl, go to town , there's weatherspoons all over the gaf

If Middleton had haemorrhoids they would be at Harbord Harbord Middleton. Went for a meal and felt so uncomfortable didn’t stay, NEVER AGAIN

The wethies in my local town. The beer thereb is actually quite good and conditioned well. Always worth bobbing in for one if you're out in midd.

Descent place a lot issues than in Manchester with odiots all good never had problems great staff also.

Not all staff but some individual staff are rude unprofessional unpleasant and to big for there boots there was a time when staff would be switched from time to time to other weatherpersons its shame this as stop as some staff wouldn't get to comfortable where they are

Mucky then there's the glasses too and don't order a bottle of Prosecco girls only three glasses in the place two covered in lippy

We go regularly but on trying the food it was poor quality and badly prepared, same food today in the regal moon Rochdale great,must say the manager in the Harbour harbord is working hard to keep a nice place ,but the food is not up to standard.

We go here on a regular basis, food portions noticeably reduced and overcooked, couldn't get knife into parts of baked potato skin. Staff still working hard though, all credit to them .

We came on a Thursday evening. Both had pizza. I had a large glass of Merlot. My SO had a pint of Wobbly Bob. Decent price and my Merlot was enjoyable.

Very good weatherspoons pub staff were very good bar was very busy food was absolutely excellent best fish-and-chips I've had for a long long time it was 10/10 the fish-and-chips I wanted was a small one but it was not available So I went for the large fish-and-chips it was Massive Fresh I'm very nice all in all Happy days at £8.60 with a soft drink

If you want to see people drinking at 9am and a cheap breakfast it's the place to be

Day staff fantastic but the afternoon staff especially one male disrespectful when told him the client behind me was next totally negative and thought he owned the place I deal with who ever don’t tell me next. Not happy very negative around the bar also. Not a good professional image you want to portray get rid hindrances more than help can we place hand sanitizer outside the toilets I feel I’m the only person washing my hands with ts disgusting it’s wrong

I and my friends are regulars. Today one of my party ordered a Christmas meal and it was pathetic! The portion was very small, no sprouts, no roast potatoes and the stuffing was rock hard! The whole meal was lukewarm, it was a complete disappointment!. The person concerned was too embarrassed tk complain..

This wetherspoons is very handy for the bus stop that's why we visited it , the staff were very good the food was fine the place was very busy for a Friday lunch time, but my one thing, I think it needs a spruce up it looks a little tired
