The Wild Rose in Sefton

Ordered a chicken Balti cost £9.50. not a problem paying that price however waited nearly 25 minutes and the place was quite empty asked the staff who where very pleasant how much longer two minutes later it arrives chicken looked under cooked was cold no accomplishments such as salad cream or sauces sent it back and it was microwaved as I asked but tasted raw left. Make your own minds up however no one came over or asked if the food was ok , in all poor customer service and staff need more training price wise a little too much for poor food.

My partner ordered a curry...waited half an hour...when it arrived it was cold ...absolutely shocking ...chicken undercooked and white...came in to offer a local pub support ....never again !!!

I've visited the wild rose a couple of times now and also came to the wetherspooons before this . I've never been so shocked in my entire life a customer asked for a single/double gin with tonic no ice and his husband had a guiness , the bartender served the drink lovely and spoken lovely to the 2 customers while having abit of a que but the girl was still working really quickly. The 2 customers flipped because apparently how 'awful' the drink was presented. The customer raised her voice a little and said 'have you seen this not full to the top and i told you before i asked for an actual lemon' . Another bartender jumped in to help and serve and put more lemons in but the customer was still not satisfied. Ive never seen a bartender be shouted at like this she looked shaken up and ive worked in a few bar's before the gin and lemonade/tonic is not to be filled unless they pay extra and fruit is 1 per item 1/2 lemon slices . Me n my family called over the bartender afterwards to see if she ok and everything was fine . In my opinion its just not nice to speak to someone with that attitude and to tell them they need proper training .

Went here on Friday, amazing food, delivered timely and well priced, the staff were so polite and enthusiastic, the music was really good, such a friendly lovely place, will definitely be back and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a nice drink and food

Glad to see the pub back open. We all went in for food and drinks. Food was excellent. Everybody enjoyed it. Glad to see the extra tvs too.

Me and my family came to the newly opened wild rose for food and drinks the food came out and looked vile so we all sent it back the price of the food is ridiculous for the quality of it. Half the drinks aren't available which was annoying, staff where rather rude when we asked for certain drinks they answered with a tone in their voice... Very unhappy with the food drinks and service, will definitely not be coming back.

Newly reopened. Clean with new furniture. Had breakfast which was quick and very nice. Great to see the place open again.

Een pub in Bootle (waar wij sliepen) die vooral een ontmoetingsplaats is voor de locals. Iedereen kent elkaar, een gemoedelijke sfeer, vriendelijk personeel en lekker gegeten (pubfood) en gedronken. En voor Engelse begrippen zeer aantrekkelijk geprijsd (een pint voor 2,20 pond!). Zeker een aanrader!

The manager of this place needs sacking! Last night I witnessed an elderly gentleman being belittled by the manager of this place. He hadn’t finished all of his food so asked could he have something to take it home in. He was told they didn’t have anything and then was asked was he finished. He told the staff member he was finished to which the staff member responded that it was disgusting he hadn’t ate all his food as there are starving children in Africa. I was shocked and disappointed that the staff member felt this was acceptable. The staff member responsible needs sacking and all other staff retrained in customer service.

My twin brother Stephen and I visited The Wild Rose Pub and what a lovely time we had. The pub is nice ,I think it needs a bit of a refurbishment but its still nice,typical Wetherspoon decor and furnishings including a solid wood serving bar that dominates the main room and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its a good local Wetherspoon pub. We were here on a Tuesday afternoon, pub was busy ,staff greeted us warmly, we gave our details of name, phone number or email address to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands,we were led to a table were we ordered a pepperoni pizza each and as part of the meal deal we were entitled to a beer ,we chose bottles of Devils Backbone Brewing Co ipa, these bottles were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in. My beer was really good, a light, hoppy and unpretentious ipa bursting with taste, while enjoying our beers our pizza meals arrived and what a great treat . The pizza was served steaming hot ,a lovely crust and a more than generous topping, coupled with our delicious beers made for a great dining experience in a very lively Wetherspoon pub. The Wild Rose Pub is easy to locate along Stanley Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 8am till Midnight. A great pub ,well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Todavía puede obtener los alimentos básicos, es decir, hamburguesas, filetes o parrillas mixtas, pero ciertamente no es lo que era.Siento que esto es un error por parte de Wetherspoons casi tan malo como poner los televisores.Por favor, Wetherspoons vuelve a sus menús completos.

Aparecí mientras tenía una hora que perder antes de una cita. Fuimos al bar, el personal del bar era muy amable y encantador para hablar. ¡Tomé asiento y pedí algo de comida que me trajeron rápidamente y caliente! ! Entregado con tanta amabilidad una vez más por una de las chicas que servían y que no podían hacer lo suficiente por mí, otra chica se acercó y fue encantadora y me preguntó cómo estaba. Entonces, todo lo que puedo decir es que las chicas que trabajan allí son un crédito absoluto para las cucharillas, bien hecho.

Pub amigable con servicio rápido. La comida tampoco estaba mal. Puede estar muy ocupado pero nunca tuvo problemas allí. Weatherspoons es un lugar donde recibimos lo que paga. Un montón de opciones para bebidas y grandes menús. Gestión amable y agradable personal amable del bar.

MALO MALO MALO Este lugar realmente se ha ido cuesta abajo, no he comido en la rosa salvaje por algún tiempo, pero esta noche me fui sintiendo que debería haber ido a otro lugar de comida rápida a tiro de piedra de la naturaleza Rosa. Pedí el menú del Chicken Club del miércoles, el pollo estaba seco y probablemente demasiado cocido. La ensalada parecía un poco a la vuelta, el bollo parecía grecia y estaba aplastado y las patatas fritas tenían un sabor a polvo. Hubo 2 señoras reembolsadas por la comida mientras estaba comiendo, habría hecho lo mismo pero tenía prisa.

Fui aquí a almorzar para ponerme al día con mi primo. Fuimos a la 1 pm el viernes y estaba lleno. Encontramos la última mesa disponible, una muy pequeña justo en la esquina. No te dejes llevar por la decoración y los muebles en mal estado. La comida era deliciosa y el personal era muy amable. También tenía muy buena relación calidad-precio ya que teníamos un presupuesto ajustado.

Un pub muy popular que nunca se llena en ningún momento del día. Muy, muy típico Wetherspoons - cerveza barata, menú habitual (probablemente menos costoso que otros). Sin embargo, una buena proporción de los clientes son. . . bueno, son bastante ruidosos con un dominio fino de los elementos más terrenales del idioma inglés (en otras palabras, espere escuchar mucho juramento sin importar cuán lejos esté sentado de las personas involucradas). No es el lugar más limpio: cualquier alimento derramado en el piso tiende a permanecer allí y los platos y platos usados permanecen en las mesas por algún tiempo antes de ser limpiados. Had breakfast here twice this week been really nice. Eggs are always perfect. Really good hash brown too. Only thing I would change is mushrooms to sliced ones

No podría recomendar este lugar más si lo intentara! ! ! ! ! Antes de que el Merton ya no fuera un Wetherspoons, ése siempre era nuestro Wetherspoons mientras vivíamos en Bootle, pero cuando comenzamos a llegar a este, es mucho mejor, especialmente personal amable que siempre hará todo lo posible por ayudarte de todas formas. puede, las comidas del club tienden a ser siempre menos de diez, incluyendo una bebida que es absolutamente brillante, hay un ambiente encantador de la comunidad aquí con apostadores sensibles que no son demasiado ruidosos o rudos, muy orientados a la familia y un ambiente genial orgulloso de decir venimos aquí al menos dos o tres veces cada dos semanas y nunca nos han defraudado una vez y la comida siempre está cocinada a la perfección. Preferiría venir aquí que al lado. ¡Gracias por las maravillosas experiencias!

Just because the ale house is in Bootle gives the staff no right to talk down to customers in the way they do - also the smoking facilities outside is like walking through a smoke screen just to get into the pub. - Poorest Weatherspoons I have ever visited - customers beware

Have been here many Sundays for breakfast with grandchildren. Yvonne is so nice and deserves a special mention. Breakfast is the best I've had in all the wetherspoons I've been to and I've been to many. Always hot and well presented. Thanks to all.

Very bust pub on a Thursday afternoon. We decided to go for the curry and a pint option, Chicken Vindaloo, nan, poppadoms and mango chutney with a pint of John Smiths for £6.10. Who could complain at that? Good service, excellent food and a pleasant environment. 5 stars from me, this place is a good deal.

Went in today for lunch with daughter, weatherspoons is usually just ok and nothing out the ordinary.

Ate here with my family Friday morning for breakfast...never again.

This pub is located at the Bootle Strand shopping centre. It is a typical Wetherspoons pub, with a fine selection of real ales and the standard food menu. The clientele on a morning/afternoon tend to be older, relaxing after a hard shop! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Not been in on an evening.

Food not very impressive on numerous occasions!

My wife and I visited this pub on 9.8.17 on a whim due to our first choice for lunch was closed and we are so glad we did. The food was lovely, it was very tasty, plenty of it and very quick to come out. They cater for all diets from Gluten Free, Dairy Free to vegan meals. We had the veggie burger and a open burrito and they both tasted great. The service was very quick and very friendly (we were served with a genuine smile). Next time we are at the Strand this is definitely our first choice for lunch.

Came here for lunch then breakfast a few days later, food came super quick both times, drinks and food tasty and dirt cheap! Also the blonde waitress couldn't do enough for us ( didn't get her name sadly) toilets not great but there is toilets that flush, toilet paper and thankfully soap! I can't really see why people are complaining 1. It's not a Michelin star restaurant so don't expect Michelin star quality and 2. It's bootle so give your head a wobble and be lucky you walked out with your shoelaces.... also sooooo happy your serving breakfast until 12! Brilliant after a walk around the car booty on a Sunday!

Returned a tepid coffee to be told the machine was telling the member of staff the temperature of the drink it was dispensing was perfect.

Staff are lovely and service is fine. Breakfast looked like something I would slap on a plate. Egg hard only £2.65 but come on Wetherspoons the money you must be making, you can do better than this.

I visited for lunch with a friend whilst shopping. We only wanted something light and settled on a Cheese & Ham Toastie & a festive Christmas Panini both were served with chips - though we could have substituted them for salad or a bowl of soup.

Visited here today 4th November for some lunch the service was excellent even though the pub was fairly busy. I will defiantly be back

This is a nice pub and the food in line with other reviews was spot on. The service was very good and it's a friendly place with friendly locals and staff.

Full of smelly old piss heads, who sing and bother guest, no one tells to shut up. drug fuelled, dirty toilets, ignorant staff, poor attitude of mangers. This list can go on and on on on sticky carpet needs a lick of paint, just looks old and tried like it's regular punters.

I really like going here , busy in the day and weekend nights. Cheap beer and good food aswell . Always start here for a few drinks ,before going to Aintree or Haydock races.

THE WID ROSE PUB has to be without a doubt the busiest pub in Bootle.

I like this pub had a fair few meals out of there, never really had a problem there staff are very nice, never wait to be served and the food is always decent ( wouldn't say anything special just nice)

I am never one to write a bad review ever but I am upset at the service of one of the bar man, aaron. White shirt and glasses in case he gave me a wrong name. Walked up to the bar ready to get served after a gentleman and a woman walks up after me, who's next he says, so I try and order and he ignores me looking for the lady's attention so she orders and I say excuse me I was next he tells me to wait my turn then when he does serve me I give him my money and he throws the change next to me when I put my hand out!! Absolutely shocked and upset! I wouldn't write this I would look past it, but as a bar supervisor for the Hilton I had to write this review. I left after my drink and am never going back here again. I just think if I weren't dressed casually and in a suit it would of been a different customer approach!!! Staff training needed

Came here last night 27/05/2015 for a meal with my husband. I must say the service we received was outstanding. We ordered from the chicken club., what can I say it was fantastic. Very enjoyable I must say. The manager who was working was very friendly indeed you can see she puts 100% into her role, always ensuring you have everything you need. Very friendly indeed. We will be coming back again.

Me and my girlfriend went in last-night for wing it Wednesday food was outstanding and the Service was out standing and really good atmosphere floor staff talking to customers and having a laugh we will definitely be coming back to the wild rose

Visited the pub with some friends for lunch. The staff were extremely friendly and seemed to have a good working relationship with each other. The food was good as always, even though they didn't have what was exactly on the menu they went to the effort to replace part of the original meal (sautéed onions) which was missing with an even better substitute, which most other wetherspoons wouldn't bother doing. Can't wait for my next meal there!

I regularly visit the wild rose and have had a pleasant experience on every occasion! The staff are extremely welcoming, and the food is always cooked perfectly (especially the steaks!)

Visited with my father on tuesday evening 17th february.. food was nice but unfortunatly staff were very rude and more interested in talking to each other than serving and left me standing there for 5 mins while they finished their conversation. When I asked to be served the man behind bar was rude to me and I could see him looking at his colleague and rolling his eyes... I will not eat here again what happened to customer service!!

When ever were in the Bootle area we alway's go this great value pub.

You get what you pay for. I had the jacket potato with chilli-con-carne, the chilli was a little too dry as if it had been standing in a pot to keep warm for a while. My friend had a burger with chips and a pint of beer in an offer that was going, the chips were delicious. Good value for what we paid ok for lunchtime
