Bakers Dozen in Sefton

The bakers have definitely picked up as a pub, and it took me by surprise with the service I received, all smiley faces and fast service. I got the Chicken New Yorker, which was absolutely delicious with plenty on them. The pints on tap were super fresh and tasty, too. Would go again with my family 110%

Gill is the best customer service person ever knows how to treat a customer goes above and beyond credit to the team will definitely be coming back

Service very poor kept getting told dessert was coming and it took a while. Waiting on staff very curt appeared impolite.The whole pub seems to be going down hill again the barmaid spent half her time chatting leaving people standing at the bar the baguette we ordered was so dry not even buttered. Will not be using this pub again

Food was good the manager was on bar never got his name but really nice chatty guy and could not do enuff it was quiet but it was afternoon on a working day so to be expected. Good all round

Changed my review now... seems the staff have changed and for the better. Everything just seems better, quicker and more pleasant. Great service each time from Tony behind the bar. Great guy. Foods decent and cheap. Nice beers. Overall huge improvement from a few month back.

Fantastic family place to eat, the atmosphere was lovely, the staff are very welcoming and friendly couldn't do enough from start to finish. The prices are great and a huge variety of food dishes to suit all.

Really good staff and food is excellent. Gill is a credit to the company and couldnt do enough for us. Family really enjoyed their food, was tasty and hot. Plenty of free parking and easy location to find. Beers were cold and tasted good, got a pool table and toy machines for the kids witu guaranteed win so not a waste of money like some places. Cinema nearby so can make a whole night of it as well. If i could give it more that 5* I would

Myself and my family (party of 8) had a meal in the baker's dozen today, and all I can say is Gill and all her staff where very polite and professional they where very friendly and helpful couldn't do enough for us, also the food was to die for and very well presented, also hot we never waited too long for it either couldn't of asked for a better place to eat and will definitely go there again

Jill an Kim I'm not gonna lie are the best service I've had for a very long while I don't come here often but everytime I have been all the staff have been fantastic even when they are busy definitely coming again.

Some of our family had travelled from Darwen in Lancashire to celebrate the long life of our wonderful Aunty. We all had a good catch-up. The food was excellent. The staff were very polite, helpful and professional. We will definitely dine here again.

We visited in half term for Dinner •. The food was really good and a good price but it was the staff that made our trip. Fill in particular was amazing! She was so friends and professional and when my son did not like his burger, Gill and another blond lady changed this for us. Gill followed up and made sure he was happy with what he had and brought over a little bag of goodies for him. We will absolutely be back here!

Lovely place to spend a few hours doing work admin . Found a nice quiet corner. Coffee on tap and lunch made for me 👍🏻 . Really productive out of office work day . The WiFi was great I had no trouble making teams calls . Will be back

Had meal here with my friends and children after the cinema. Lovely food and the waitress went out her way to make sure we were happy giving the children colouring stuff and a little party bag. I can't rememeber her name dark haired lady middle aged lady she was so nice and friendly. Seabass was amazing. Will be coming back.

I visited here with my family for a meal during my week off. We were served by the new manager Tony, he was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for him. He made a fuss of my little sister and helped me with our drinks to the table. The food was served within 20 minutes and was really hot and delicious. Thank you all we will be back

Good food , great deals, fast service.

Sat and waited for 80 mins, was told 2 different stories, one person told me that they stopped serving food at 7, the other told me that they stopped serving food at 8, I was lied to when leaving and was told that my refund would take a week to process, absolute disgrace. I ordered my food at 19:35 via the app, I saw my order on the screen when I asked to confirm the table number that I was sat at, it wasn't busy, and the staff walked past over a dozen times each, me and my wife sat there with no drinks for close to 90 mins to be told that we won't be served.

I have started.coming here at lease once a week with my client as she likes coming . We have got to no the staff and my client enjoys talking to Gill in the switch island . Nothing is to much trouble always happy to help . My client always enjoys her meal and chats to everyone all friendly.

Not a bad place for a quick urly tea but does get busy, and the service suffers the food is ok but nothing really shout about

visited on the 2nd of feb, working was gill and Anthony, we turned up with a table of 20 people even though there where only 2 people working they still accommodated us, they where absolutely amazing the whole time, friendly welcoming and accommodating, food was on point couldn’t fault the day in the slightest !!

There is no experience to share. Arrived at 11:15 for breakfast and the doors all still locked. No notice of why it was closed and online it says opens at 11am. Do you want custom? Open your doors.

Quiet pub, limited food choice due to temporary kitchen problem

Came for tea with family and had a pub classic. Tony was very helpful and knowledgeable. Staff all lovely. Been a few times but you can tell things are looking up. Great pub and great hot food, definitely recommend trying this if you’ve never been!

First time back here in a long time and the place is so much better. Under new management and Tony Andrew and Ian made us feel really welcome. Quality of the food has really improved there is a good atmosphere around the pub and overall a much nicer place to visit. In a good location with the cinema nearby and would highly recommend for anyone looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful to grab a bite to eat as there are daily food and drink offers on everyday

Visited for a meal with friends, food very reasonably priced and was tasty. The customer service was vey professional and welcoming which made our visit highly enjoyable.

Absolute disgraceful Christmas day food was diabolical all frozen veg potatoes packet turkey and what pub does not have sauces especially xmas day desserts were the same absolutely awful.I complained a few days later to be asked by the area manager "why didn't you complain on the day"I told him because it was xmas day I didn't want to make a fuss.plus I was told I would receive a full refund to then be called by the area manager to say I won't be getting a refund.also my daughter has left a review that they have taken down straight away.That in itself speaks volumes about this place.

Fantastic meal there yesterday, team friendly and approachable. Food was hot and well portioned. Nothing too much to ask, drinks arrived in a timely manner when ordered through their app.

living local to the bakers means we do come regularly. but we would use this pub so much more with some live sports or horse racing. we would come for the day. the staff are amazing and the service is great. get some TVs and live sports will help bring some more atmosphere 😊

We haven’t eaten here in about 8 years & when we did it had gone downhill. Myself & my daughter came for food on Xmas Eve before the pictures. Firstly what a choice on the menu, we were both spoilt for choice. We both had different meals & they were both amazing. The staff were so friendly & helpful; we had an issue with the drinks we had ordered & they swapped them & apologised. We will be back - thank you

Great service and will book again next year!! Lovely details with the table set up and staff couldn’t do enough for us. Food was really nice, very organised and nice little touches with the children’s crackers and gifts.

Arrived at restaurant for a booking, was told there was 1 chef, 1 waitress and 1/5 of the menu available. They were also apparently closing an hour after our reservation and we needed to order quick, indicated by paper printouts on the entrance. The woman working also attempted at gaslighting our group by saying that she spoke to one of us and had attempted to cancel our booking but no one in our entourage had received a call. Decided to go somewhere else, please avoid the Bakers Dozen for at least a short time while they fix this problem

Had the Festive 2 course meal. Staff very attentive and accommodating, service quick and very efficient. Honestly could not fault anything. Table was prepared and Xmas crackers too for myself and 2 friends. Traditional roast dinner was yummy, and so filling. Myself and 2 friends couldn't finish it, lots on the plate. Dessert was Raspberry trifle cheesecake was delicious. Thank you soo much to all the staff at The Bakers Dozen. Well worth the money 5☆

Had a beautiful meal every thing cooked lovely. Staff very welcome in and polite. A good place to take children lots to choose from and very well priced.

Had a roast, deal only included soft drinks. Food was awful and pigs in blankets tasted very weird. I came home and vomited the whole meal up it was that disgusting and I will eat anything.

If I could have given 0 I would have - never again. Grey cold chicken (despite being on a "sizzler" plate peppers and onions cold slimy and oily. Didnt have half of what was advertised on the Menu and had to change dishes once ordered. Been the 3rd time we have been here now and had a bad experience- our own fault and won't be back.

The service from Alex, Gill and Amelia was exceptional. They went out of their way to make us, and especially our granddaughter, so welcome. You will be proud of them. I had been xmas shopping and finished the afternoon off at the pub for our evening meal with my family, we had Kim for our server l thought she was refreshingly friendly , helpful and eager to accomodate in the respect of making sure our small child had a high chair available to use. She pointed out early on that the pub restaurant would be closing early so that we had plenty of time to order our food. I asked Kim did she reccomend anything and she suggested the Lamb kofta wrap , which was very nice and I will have it again.We had excellent service from everyone on the night including Jill, Jack and Ant. I have only recently started going to the Bakers Dozen and I will return as it is so handy and a warm comfortable relaxed pub to be in, a good family pub. Thankyou to the staff on the night.

Lovely evening meal before our cinema visit, staff attentive and helpful. Kim helped with describing the meals, nothing too much trouble. Genuine, smily and customer focused. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Went for lunch very clean surroundings.The food we chose was excellent from a big menu .The staff were so polite especially Gill the manager who had time to chat and made us feel very welcome. So great service all round and we will be back .

A bit tired and in need of a upgrade.

AVOID!! If I could give it 0 stars I would. Place is run down and tired. Nearly always empty. Only one member of staff on the bar serving food orders. When asked if we could just order a drink the barman said 'get in the queue as he was the only one 'qualified' to serve.' Food not the best either, one time we went in for something to eat and the grill was broke. The landlord is a chauvinist. I was walking past the bar out of the pub the other day and he shouted at me 'i thought you were supposed to be washing the dishes out the back'!!! Who says that to a customer?? Absolutely vile man, he speaks to his staff with no respect either!! Never going to go in that pub ever again!

Had a table booked sat down and ordered once ordered and paid to be told 45 min wait then to be told extra 30 mins wait not very acceptable

We are all full from the food. My autistic son really enjoyed the food and our server Alex was very attentive and was really kind to my son. We will definitely be returning.

The experience was disappointing from the start, as we had to change tables due to an unbearable odor. The manager casually mentioned that someone had carelessly left a used nappy nearby in the past, treating it as a joke rather than a serious issue. To make matters worse, there were no napkins available, and the manager's attempt at humor fell flat while we waited over 30 minutes for dessert. It was evident that we weren't the only ones dissatisfied, as several other customers voiced their complaints about the food and the unpleasant smell. This establishment seems to be poorly managed.

It does good food at a great price an easy recommendation.

Visited here tonight with my friend, Amazing service from Alex, Corbin and Jill the manager. Definitely recommend visiting, all very friendly staff and make the experience visiting here enjoyable.

Seeing the reviews, me and my partner where unsure whether this hungry horse would be enjoyable. But showing up and meeting the staff, having the food abs the experience was actually pretty nice than expected. Food was fast, alright to eat and the staff were really friendly. The burgers where good and had loads to them.

Didn’t open till 11-15 am instead of 11am .Breakfast menu no longer available but they serve an all day breakfast for £8.95,absolutely disgusting,2 burnt pieces of bacon ,1 cheap tasting sausage,few baked beans ,5 tiny shrivelled mushrooms and 2 hash browns ,toast and tea were extra costs .Would definitely not recommend !

Michelle have been fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating to us. Good place to chill and play pool with the lads and couple of drinks.

Michelle was lovely, personable and made our experience joyous give her a pay rise. Only came for one drink after the cinema but her service meant we could stay for a few more
