Absolutely gutted. Love going to the Noodle Bar however the past 2 times I’ve been, the service has been shocking. We ordered 2 mains & chilli & salted chips. Our two mains arrived after quite some time which was fine. But then we got half way through our mains without receiving our chips. Asked the waitress 4 times for our chips and they arrived at the table once we had finished our mains. Absolutely pointless. So much potential as the food is lovely. Just a shame the service is so bad.

First visit, was really happy that we found this place. Lovely tasting food, excellent price, great staff and service. Will definitely recommend and return soon.

Lovely food very reasonable priced to

This was my third visit this year and I am even more impressed by the quality of food and service at this restaurant. The moment you walk in you can tell it is a fabulous spacious venue with high ceilings and beautiful decor. The staff are always smiling and the extensive menu has a variety of Chinese and East Asian dishes. This time I tried the Indonesian nasi goreng, which was surprisingly authentic in flavour and presentation. The starters are small but reasonably priced and I particularly liked the Japanese gyoza. Singapore Tiger Beer is available along with a range of affordable wines. Our large group were well looked after on a memorable midweek evening. No doubt I will be returning soon. Thanks to all involved, including the hard working staff behind the scenes. Loughborough is indeed lucky to have a culinary gem like this.

Fantastic food, very reasonably priced.

Lovely place food very nice service needs a kick up the arse n cocktails need doing properly with alcohol 🍸 but other than that a great nite.we will definitely return .

Had a great meal - everything was very tasty and very delicious. We changed somethings around with our order and were pretty annoying customers to be honest haha, but they looked after us, got everything spot on and did it all with a smile, major props! The food was tasty, full of umami and exactly what you want from a Chinese restaurant, definitely elevated compared to a typical take-away, but you do pay a little premium for it. The chicken satay was the highlight, with prawn toast and ramen also being good, and one of the better beef noodle dishes we’ve tried. The atmosphere was a little quiet, but the music made up for it and we had a lovely afternoon! This is definitely one of the better places to get food in Loughborough, and 100% the best Chinese I’ve had thus far - thanks guys!

Terrible value for money. Food average. Stale chicken balls which the quantity was only 4 balls. Chicken satay poor. Beef blackbean poor. Spare ribs what even are they!! Never had a worse Chinese in my life.

What a great find, tucked out from the main hustle and bustle of Loughborough…. Lovely surroundings in a relaxed atmosphere with a superb array of dishes to choose from. We have great meal with the sharing platters and then a range of mains. Easy on street parking in the area and a definite return visit on the cards.

Ordered inside for takeaway and was told they'd be a 40 minute wait, 1 hour and 20 minutes later we were given sub standard food and lots of items missing, We called to complain but they were too busy to rectify in an appropriate time and couldn't refund our card, had to go in the restaurant the next day to collect cash?? If you cannot provide the service don't take the orders. Greedy business. Shameful.

We popped into the restaurant without a booking and we thought we would have been turned away as it was very busy but they very quickly found us a table. Drinks arrived very quickly and there was hardly any waiting time for our platter of mixed starters, it is worth noting that the prawn toast was probably the best I have ever tasted. Mains followed and we have no complaints whatsoever food was hot well prepared and absolutely delicious and fantastic portion sizes. The staff were friendly helpful and couldn’t do enough to make our experience a pleasant one, and when we got the bill it didn’t break the bank. Next time we go to Loughborough I will most definitely be back again, 5stars all the way.

Food was good and the staff were lovely. The only negative was the lack of vegetarian options and lack of clarity in the menu. I ordered the mixed vegetable black bean stir fry and it came with tofu which was a nice surprise it didn’t say anything about tofu on the menu. Very tasty tho!

Great food as always. Busy nights, maybe need 1 more staff member in front of house to improve service. Current staff are great and very polite but difficult sometime to get their attention. Keep up serving great tasting food at reasonable prices. Thank you.

Friday night, rammed, but still great service and food. If you want fancy, go Thai, if you want to feel full and satisfied get to noodle bar.

What a fabulous place. We went after graduation on a Tuesday evening. It was full and the staff worked their socks off but they were so polite and happy. The food was smashing and reasonably priced. I love the interior too. Highly recommend.

Food was great as was the service, laksa soup was recommended and tasted amazing! One thing to note is that the kitchen closes at 9pm and not 10pm on Saturdays, not sure about other days, maybe timing should be changed on google :)

I took my family to Noodle Bar yesterday to celebrate Father’s Day, and it was an incredible experience! Despite the restaurant being super busy, the service was beyond amazing. The staff were kind and attentive, ensuring that we were well taken care of throughout our visit. We ordered both starters and mains, and every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. [We highly recommend the chili salted squid!!!] My dad said it was the highlight of his day, and the rest of my family enjoyed it just as much. We will definitely be coming back again. A big thank you to the entire team at Noodle Bar for making our celebration so special!

Great food at affordable prices

This was my first visit to this place. I was excited to try it but unfortunately my experience was by far the worst. The service was super unprofessional by the family that runs/owns the restaurant: slamming plates on the table, bad looks, and long wait time till service. We came to the restaurant as a group of 7 people and we were starving. When asked by the waitress if we’d like to have starters first then main courses, I asked for all food to come together. Instead, they managed to serve main courses first and bring the appetizers +25 minutes later. They even forgot orders that we had to remind them about. We asked for vinegar: not available, chopsticks: in the dishwasher. Tab water came with unpleasant taste that was undrinkable. The duck was over crispy to the extent that it lost its taste. The prawn toast was super oily and heavy. We had to ask for everything specifically: serving ware, plates, small soy plates, utensils…. The only order that I tried and was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing was the Japanese prawn gyoza. The only thing that made my experience better is the nice waitress Maddie who was so helpful, polite, and smiling despite all. If this place didn’t work hard on their social skills, they’d definitely lose customers for good.

Delicious excellent food, one of the best restaurants I have been to for a while. Service was fantastic, friendly and service was quick even when it was really busy.

It was our first time visiting the restaurant, and we had an amazing experience. The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. We did not find any faults at all. We will definitely be going back again.

Nice modern interior and food is definitely good value. The sweet and sour chicken and the beef with black bean sauce had fried rice including! The young English waiter with glasses was really friendly and served us quickly.

Really good authentic food, good portions for a good price. I really enjoyed it and I would definitely go again soon, would love to try out the entire menu as everything looks equally tasty, love the presentation too. The Gyoza’s were my favourite.

I understand it was a busy night, but there seemed to be no organisation for the staff leaving patrons waiting for service and food. After waiting g over half an hour to place drinks order , we decided that it was best just to leave. What was the point in waiting....the poor table next to us were waiting even longer and we're sat before us.

I came here for valentines with my girlfriend and it was an absolutely amazing meal. They were really nice, attentive and accommodating to our requests. I have been here a few times before too and they never disappoint. Will 100% reccommend and be going back again.

I never write reviews but I am so shocked at how bad the treatment of my family was that I’ve had to write this. We went for a my birthday meal and the experience was terrible throughout. Started off by the manager refusing to bring out an extra empty glass so that we could split the juice we ordered in half for my two young nieces. Followed by the male manager/owner telling us that if our dog barked again then he would need to be tied up OUTSIDE for the rest of the meal. My dog only barked a couple of times at the beginning and was silent for the rest of the meal. The restaurant states that it is a dog friendly venue. I have NEVER EVER come across a dog friendly restaurant that would behave like this. I am quite frankly appalled that they think it’s an acceptable thing to say to someone. If it had not been for my disabled mother present, I would have got up and left. We were so angry. This place is clearly not dog friendly or even child friendly. They also charge £7 to bring a cake out for birthdays. The waitresses were friendly but the owners/managers need more training in how to be acceptable human beings. Would not recommend to anyone.

It’s a good place for larger groups but the service isn’t great and it’s extremely noisy even though they don’t have music playing.

Had a birthday meal out as a family last night and we all complimented how brilliant the night was. Food was hot and tasty. Drinks in clean glasses, given by lovely staff with nice personalities and very attentive. Hand on heart, I can say that it was a perfect meal

Second time I’ve used this place for a takeaway, on my annual business trip to L’brough. Great food, really friendly service and looks a great place to eat in if you preferred. Thoroughly recommend 👍🏻

Not a great experience. Waited well over an hour to receive our main course on a Saturday evening. I can see they work really hard but this isn’t a valid excuse. Need more staff or less tables to control the demand on busy nights.

The only noodle bar with great Chinese food that sells real ale! What's not to like?

I’m a regular customer at The Noodle Bar, often coming with my daughter or a friend. The food arrives swiftly and is tasty and reasonably priced. We were sad to see the place close for a few years, and very happy to see it come back with the same owners in recent years. The atmosphere is a balanced combination of the tasteful decor and furniture you’d expect to see in a good restaurant and an informal noodle bar. They have a large long table that can accommodate very large groups, and plenty of tables for 2,4 or 6 people. It gets very busy during university term times and booking is advisable. The proprietors are lovely and always present helping out with service and smiles.

Came here for dinner on Friday. The place was full but luckily we had made a reservation. We ordered the mixed platter and chilli salted chips for starters. Mains was various fried rices, chow meins and chilli salted beef. Oustanding food. Will deffo come here again. Our waitress was Maddy who was very attentive served us very well despite being very busy!

Noddles were super greasy. Like to the point were I was dashing to the loo. Noddles were soaked in oil. The service was slow and it was too crowded. I couldn't cope

Excellent for a family meal, excellent gluten free menu, I recommend the cod morney. Husband says the beer is excellent.

Food was lovely, never comes out altogether, but was rushed to leave table for next customers, in and out within an hour! Staff were constantly at the table removing plates and glasses as soon as one of our party had finished. Then brought the bill over once the last plate was removed. Poor, especially when you've spent over £100 and didn't get time to enjoy family time with a catch up. Disappointing!

Have been visiting the Noodle Bar now for many years, more often than not, on lunchtime beaks with work colleagues. The food is always good, and almost always, we are met with a huge welcome. The only minor niggle that I have, is that occasionally, the restaurant has been prone to draughtiness, though this is something which the owners seem to have sought to address more recently.

So had a terrible experience today by the Chinese lady at this place. We arrived without booking and were immediately told fully booked by the Chinese lady! We understood as it looked busy and ordered a takeaway. Went away for 10 minutes and came back. To our surprise one couple walked in without booking and were offered a table. Then a second couple walked in and were told to wait! My wife enquired with the couple and they confirmed they did not make a booking. So my wife challenged the Chinese lady and she just shrugged it off. So from no booking available to two walkins offered a table...how? We are Indians so was that the issue?

Nice place , service was all right. However for me the food was low standards. Dry and hard over cooked chips. And crispy lemon chicken was swimming in far too much lemon juice, just didn't expect it, totally spoiled my dinner, never again. For me a waste of money. Came home hungry. My lessoned learned.

Very accommodating to vegetarian options when asked. Lovely food and great service.

Nice restaurant, good atmosphere. Food is great, and the service is great. The only negative here is if you are sat on the long shared table, then any kicking the bench (usually children, being children) but can be felt for all customers on that bench seat. Although plenty of room, the bench kicking was a but annoying.

We are regular customers at this resturant, visiting approximtely 4 times a year as we are not local to Loughborough. . We lasted visited on the 30th September 2023. This is by far the best resturant I have ever eaten at. It is easy to book a table. The staff are very friendly greeting and welcoming each guest as though they are celebrity and so pleased to have you eating there. The food is excellent, we have specific dietary accomodations, and which they are glad to meet and even remember us from one visit to the next. The food is always excellent, and the atomosphere is lovely, the staff are attentive but not overly present, but quick to respond to requests. We had a 4 year old with is and they catered for her needs. The prices are resonable considering the quality of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My granddaughter and her boyfriend treated my husband and me to a meal here for my birthday! Was booked in advance! When we arrived we was taken to a table at the top of the room so we was like shut off, we ordered drinks, starter, and a main meal and I have never been rushed so much to eat and drink staff was constantly walking up to clear one glass as one was finished … has the last person finished there meal and placed there knife and fork on their plate the bill was put on the table! We hadn’t even asked for the bill my granddaughter boyfriend still had his food in his mouth! We all still had drinks! Found this very rude and certainly rushed meal was booked for 6.30 we was in and out in 1 hour and 10 minutes … if the chef had cooked the meals any quicker we would have been out even earlier! VERY Disappointed for a £100 meal that was rushed to get other people in

When we arrived we was taken to the back of the room like we was shut off! We ordered drinks, starter and a main meal … once everything came they rushed us to eat so quickly , has the last person put their knife and fork down the bill was placed on the table we hadn’t even asked for the bill my granddaughters boyfriend was still chewing his food … we still had drinks left on the table! Certainly ruined my birthday treat cannot believe how RUDE this was and how rushed we felt! Table was booked for 6.30 and we was out the door 1 hour and 10 minutes later! Very disappointed £100 bill didn’t realise it was a fast food service we could have sat at mc Donald’s for longer and not been rushed! RUDE RUDE RUDE so upset with them for making my birthday treat upsetting

Came to celebrate my daughters birthday day late as she had exams on her birthday. This is her favourite place and I can see why. 10/10 keep up the good work, tines are not easy for anyone including small independent businesses

Awful service, very slow we waited for ages and both the tables who were seated well after us had their food before. I had my starter well before my partner and the same with the main. I might have as well eaten alone. Food Mediocre, greasy and tasteless. Wine Awful tasted very cheap like vinaigrette.Overall a poor product for price. We won't be going again... They seem to have become a victim of their own success and quantity seems to be more important than quality...we saw lots of Ubereats delivery drivers picking up food...so the customers in the restaurant were left waiting poor service and the apology was superficial....we felt short changed...we would have had a better experience at spoons for half the price !

First time I've been here, went for lunch so fairly quiet. Hot and sour soup was delicious I would definitely recommend. You get big portions, good value. V polite and friendly staff I will be going back

First visit in probably 10 years. It was superb. Its retained the same style but with some lovely improvements to all tge bench seating with smaller tables soft seating and a private dining area to the rear. Lovely staff and great service. Food quality was really good. No fuss no real wait and the plate presentation was very good, even warm too. Very knowledgeble waitress and an all together first class experience. Very good value for casual dining. I wont wait another 10 years for my next visit. 😁 Thankyou.

The chili salted chips are to die for

Literally the best chips I’ve ever had (ordered chilli salted chips along with my meal) not tried the rest of the food yet but absolutely blown away, think I might have time ask how they were made

Really enjoyed lunch here today. Took a stab in the dark having never heard of this place before and was greeted by fantastic friendly staff and amazing tasty food. Will definitely be returning soon.

Noodle restaurant at the back of a pub - though my feeling is that the restaurant has "parasitically" taken over! Don't mean that in a bad way! A good selection of noodles from multiple Asian cuisines. Reminded us of the local dishes we'd sampled in various Asian countries where we'd been resident.

Absolutely delightful place; superb food and excellent service. Very reasonably priced as well; starters, mains, drinks for 4 was £70. Food tasted very fresh and nothing was too much for them, and delivered with a smile. Thank you very much for squeezing us in on a busy Saturday night! We will be back.

Excellent food, lovely staff and service, we all enjoyed our meals. The only criticism I would have is I would have liked my main meal served on a warm plate as the rice soon went cold.

Our third and last time here ! We’ve always loved the food but last night everyone was sat in coats as it was seriously cold all evening making it very non enjoyable indeed . It was a birthday event and we were glad to leave .

Ordered a take away. Service is Friendly. Food is authentic, tasty and good size portions. If you are collecting, you can park outside which is really convenient. The lady that served me offered to bring the food out when it is ready which is a nice touch. Will definitely visit again.

Only discovered this fairly recently but what a gem it is. Authentic food, really pleasant and friendly staff and exceptional ambience. Really looking forward to visiting again when they reopen on 15th August, following a well deserved break. Highly recommended.

Had lunch here at the weekend while visiting my daughter at University. Very tasty, huge portion , lovely staff. Will definitely book next time I am visiting.

Thought I’d try the takeaway tonight as I remembered having some nice food here a few years back. I ordered house special rice which was dry but edible and some salt and chilli ribs which were absolutely disgusting! Inedible!! It was almost like they’d been cooked again and again?! I called to complain and spoke to Ken the manager/owner who proceeded to accuse me of not understanding how they’re cooked and they’ve not had any complaints about their ribs for the 16 years they’ve cooked them??? He put the phone down on me 😡 and when I rang back feeling slightly annoyed he said he would only refund me if I took the food back???! I have no transport so not possible. He was totally out of order and rude! Disgusting food, disgusting service!!

Came here as a family of 4 (2 boys aged 10 and 12) whilst we were in Loughborough for one night. The food was super tasty and such good value for money. My boys loved it - especially the noodles and chicken wings. The atmosphere...

Had to wait in a freezing cold bar with no one serving for 90 minutes for our table and then another hour for the food to arrive which was un edible and tastes horrible. But at least the smell of bleach as they were cleaning...

After being a regular visitor here over the last couple years since it’s re opened as usual the standards drop and the food quality becomes poor again, when the restaurant isn’t busy the food and service becomes atrocious. My advice would be to only visit...

Booked a table for 7.00 arrived on time and was shown through to the bar to order drinks. Had to wait a good 15 minutes to order drinks and they took another 15 minutes to arrive, table was still not ready and we were told...

My meal was okay but nothing special, to be honest I've had better from my local Chinese takeaway. The main problem was that it was so noisy in the restaurant that I couldn't have a conversation with anyone on my table. Had to lean over...

Visited for the first time and wish I'd found this place sooner! Great value for money and portion sizes are generous. Had the apple mocktail and it was delicious! Staff are really lovely and attentive, great interior design and atmosphere as well.
