Absolutely beautiful food in such a lovely, friendly & welcoming pub. Spotless & cosy with lovely staff. We had the best meal out we’ve had in a long time. Thank you White Horse!

We found the staff here very friendly and welcoming. It’s a lovely atmosphere with a traditional English pub feel. Seating inside and out. The food was outstanding.

We visited the White horse to try somewhere different in the Totton area for Sunday lunch. Wow what an experience the place is lovely and a traditional English pub/restaurant. The staff could not have been nicer and the food was prepared and presented like a top restaurant ( better than a recent visit to the Ivy in London) I cannot fault this lovely little pub and we will definitely be back soon

We called in for an unplanned meal with family and what a lovely surprise great food, friendly helpful staff with varied menu at good prices. Food was excellent and all homemade, I had the best onion rings ever eaten out as batter so light. Thank you all.

We are staying locally to The White Horse in our campervan for the weekend having travelled from Kent, and this pub was recommended by the local resident where we are staying. It really is a lovely friendly pub with a restaurant. We have our dog with us and she was made very welcome too. They even have some doggy biscuits in a jar on the bar to give them a treat. They also sell dog ice cream 🍦 We sat outside for dinner as the weather is warm. We both enjoyed a cold drink and ordered dinner. The food was exceptional and so tasty. The bar staff and service was lovely. I felt very welcomed here. I would definitely return if I was in the area again.

Roast beef was superb, with roasted vegetables and cauliflower cheese. This is without doubt, the best pub roast we’ve ever had, at a fair price for such quality.

We had a fabulous evening and meal at the Christmas carol concert on Thursday! Food was superb on a very busy evening ! It was wonderful to see the pub so packed creating a lovely festive atmosphere . Thanks to the musicians staff and Sophie and Laura for a memorable night.

We enjoyed a perfect three course Christmas lunch last Saturday. A lovely festive atmosphere (helped by the mulled wine aroma). The food was delicious; good variety and ample portions. Fantastic staff led by Sophie & Laura who are wonderful hosts. We highly recommend a visit!

We were attending a gig at the local arts centre and wanted a meal beforehand. Not knowing the area we looked on here for suggestions and found The White Horse and were so glad we did. From the moment we walked through the door to leaving it was excellent, a warm welcome from the staff, a very nice menu and superb food. I chose the Venison in red wine pie, while 2 others had steak & ale pies and a halloumi fries. All 3 pie eaters said how nice the pies were with tasty pastry & packed with meat, and the roasted vegetables complimented the unique version of mash. We never had time to try the desserts on the specials board but if there looked a nice selection.

This is the first time we have visited since the previous landlord retired. The new landlords Sophie and Laura, have added a new bit of sparkle and tweaked things. We were there for a party and it was busy. There were plenty of staff that made it very efficient. We were called away unfortunately but the buffet was being laid out and it looked fabulous. Very upset we missed it. I’ve always enjoyed visiting here and know it is in safe hands and will grow. Well done and thanks for making my friends birthday bash so good. Ps go for the Sunday meat draw, that is so much fun and entertaining

Very average chiabatta with very little grated cheese. Cheese board without any accompaniments. 2 x small pieces of cheddar and 2 x small pieces of black cheddar. The biscuits were stale and inedible. Very small pot of chutney, no salad , no grapes. No celery etc. not helped by the most miserable waitress who couldn’t crack a smile. Will not be returning

What a gem of a find! We called last minute for a table of 9 and the pub did all they could to accommodate us. On arrival we were welcomed by extremely friendly locals and staff. Food was amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone.

We were staying in the area over Christmas so popped into the White Horse for a drink. The pub has a cosy oldy-worldly feeling and atmosphere, serving a good range of beers, wines etc. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We also had a dog, who was also welcomed. Prices were around £10 for a pint of ale and large glass of wine. We didn’t have food but those that were looked happy with it.

Today we went to The Gamekeeper. This place has just been taken over so is under new management. It started off well but slowly went downhill. There was a choice of lamb or beef and the chef had agreed to sort out a vegetarian option. The food was mediocre. It felt like everything was shop bought, not really cooked that well and not very hot, the roast potatoes were especially poor. Staff tried but couldn’t quite provide a good service. Access was good with a large modern disabled toilet. Hopefully things will improve as they get settled, but today was not a positive experience.

En general un buen menú de pub, con un precio razonable, variada y en un entorno restaurante con muy poca gente.

Regresar a una ajetreada White Horse para mi cumpleaños, las madres sólo para disfrutar de otra gran experiencia. Yo y mi familia tenía una variedad de diferentes alimentos de costillar de cordero, pastel de carne con cerveza, panceta de cerdo a la muy diferentes rocas de lava. La conversación alrededor de la mesa rápidamente convertido a la comida que todos complementados. El servicio del personal del bar no era nada pero genial, nos cuidaron desde el momento que entramos en hasta el momento en que nos fuimos. Un trago de caramelos con bill es un bonito toque. En general, es un maravilloso pub que no tendría ningún problema en recomendar!

Visitamos un sábado por la noche y tuvimos la suerte de que nos hizo reservas con anticipación o no creo que hubiéramos estado alojado (aunque estoy seguro de que nos hubiera encantado intentamos). La propiedad es más pequeña y más íntimo y maravillosamente decoradas.

Al haber estado en este pub un número de veces antes de que yo estaba horrorizado acerca de la experiencia que nos encontramos el día de la madre. En primer lugar me pareció que el pub a ser fría, habiendo reservado una mesa para 5 pm nos fuimos a las 7 de la tarde! La espera para nuestros platos principales era 50 minutos, en los periodos de máxima ocupación que aceptarlo, pero ya que estábamos uno de 3 mesas para comer que me pareció inaceptable. Al acabar su postre mi hermano encontramos los envases de cartón en la parte inferior de su pudding incluso aunque claramente muestra que toda la comida es casera, este pudding descontado de la factura. Por último el comer de madre estaban siendo dado una flor cuando la izquierda, mi madre no recibe una. Nos decepcionó después de años de usar este pub que a mí y a mi familia no va a utilizar este pub.

La comida en el pub sin embargo nuestra visita fue completamente defectuosos por otra mesa de obviamente un poco borrachos que no pudimos hablar tranquilamente o administrar una frase sin insultos, así que cuando se la responsabilidad del encargado de tener una palabra? Evidentemente, en este pub la respuesta es nunca y, como tal, a pesar de la buena comida, no volveremos

Bien ... ¡una experiencia maravillosa. En primer lugar, el personal es muy amable y acogedor, muy agradable para encontrar auténtico servicio y atención al cliente. La selección de la comida en el menú, y los "especiales junta' es una verdadera alegría de tentaciones para chuparse los dedos. Los precios son muy razonables y competitivos. Un ambiente encantador y la individualidad deja sensación cálida y confortable.Lo disfrutamos nuestra visita ... tanto que volvimos de nuevo ... y sin duda alguna volveremos continúe visitas regulares. 10/10

Just popped into the White Horse for lunch before going to the airport. As always a good meal (lamb shank) good beer and friendly staff. Just a little cold in the pub today. Mind if you sit next to the radiator that sorts it out.

Después de estar rodeado de perros corriendo por el pub y experimentar una variedad de antipático acoge desde el pub por la carretera, nos quedamos encantados cuando nos detuvimos en el White Horse donde nos recibieron con una cálida bienvenida, servicio real ( ! ), y una buena variedad de cervezas. Con una buena variedad de comida disponibles, tales como la carne sobre roca y curry noche lava caliente tipo buffet en un lunes, volveremos!

Reservamos una mesa en el White Horse para una comida familiar. El pub estaba muy concurrido, con un montón de gente pidiendo comida. El momento en que entramos, nos recibió muy amable señorita que nos dieron todos sentados y hicimos nuestro primer orden de bebidas.

we booked a table for eight people for a adult family meal, all three courses came out together, the food that was a mixture of Lava Rock meal, special board and main menu, we had fun with the Lava meals and all of the food was cooked to perfection, the staff were very friendly and helpful and took drink orders from our table, we had an excellent time and will be going back shortley

We went to this pub last year and had such a good time we returned on 22/1/16 and took 4 friends to enjoy the experience,.What an embarrassing evening.We found the lack of service tiresome as there was only two other tables of two and we waited 3 quarters of an hr for starters and main course was as long the waitress was more interested int talking to her mates,we had to get up and ask for condiments and by 9.45pm got fed up waiting to be asked for deserts so paid the bill and left.Wont be returning if this is how they look after customers no wonder there was a lack of them.Meal was a disappointment.

He estado allí dos veces en dos semanas con amigos y para un cumpleaños, la comida es muy buena, y el personal es muy amable. El ambiente bueno y es un país muy acogedor pub, actualmente ofrece temática que representan una buena relación calidad-precio especialmente el pescado y patatas fritas en un viernes. Sin duda volvería de nuevo como reserva para cena de celebración de Navidad.

Si el microondas descompone, comida caliente será en el menú.

Nos detuvimos en para el almuerzo en un día de la semana con un amigo después de caminar nuestros perros. Muy acogedor, aunque estábamos vestidos para paseos para perros, no muy elegante! Dos almuerzos por £10. Jamón, huevos y patatas fritas para mí, el hígado y la cebolla con puré de patatas para mi amigo. Nos fuimos a pasar unos postres que eran el mismo precio que el plato principal prácticamente. Las porciones no inversión pero buena para la etiqueta de precio £5.

We found this very quaint little pub/ restaurant coming home from a day trip I'm in a wheelchair but it's very accessible it's also dog friendly fantastic value for money and the food is heaven all freshly cooked the staff are very friendly very welcoming a lovely place to eat and drink or it's a drink with friends if you can try it you won't be disappointed

Issues dealt with at the time, hopefully they will learn from this experience! Had to wait an hour and half for food, we should have been told at the time there would be a delay, staff apologised. We were given free drinks.Food was awful, burnt sausages and steak, watery and tasteless curry. There were chef issues on the night, the kitchen should have been closed. Refused to give us money off the food.

I popped in with my family for a quick lunch. There was a lunch menu on the table with mainly light bites, such as jacket spuds and sandwiches. I thought that was it, but on asking they had a full menu and a specials board. Service was friendly and prompt.I had the home made beef chilli with rice - spicy, but not too hot. The rice was perfectly cooked and the chilli was juicy, not thick and stodgy like some pub chillis. My wife and daughter had the Foghorn Leghorn BBQ chicken with cheese and bacon (aka Hunters chicken) with chips - enjoyed by all. Portion sizes are large, so be warned.If you have been before, it was a Thai themed restaurant. It has new management (March 2014) and has been refurbished focusing on pub grub.Not far from the Morrisons Superstore, so easy to pop in for lunch or dinner after a long shop.Nice pub just for a quiet drink.
