A warm welcome. Good selection of beers, wine and cocktails. Lunch menu has a good selection - the fish finger sandwich was delicious. Service is good with a buzzy atmosphere.

I booked a table on-line for a Monday to take advantage of the discounted food offer price. When we arrived we were greeted at the bar with a friendly smile. We were shown where our reserved table was located and we were asked if we were happy with the table or if we would prefer to choose a different table. The menu choice of food was good and I decided to go with the BBQ chicken meal that I was recommended by the waiter/barman and my friend chose the chicken Caesar salad. Both myself and my friend thoroughly enjoyed our meals and we had no complaints. We look forward to eating there again.

Quite a busy vibrant pub and very popular with locals. The food was ok and our Waiter was very friendly. When we sat the ambiance was very pleasant. Then the music was turned up (way too loud) we had to shout at each practically until we asked the waiter if it could be turned down slightly. The staff were all very pleasant and attentive but do feel there should be a dress code. One of the young waitresses was dressed very inappropriately with her skirt so short it put you off your dinner 🙈

Came for the first time for a Valentine’s Day meal. Will 100% be returning due to the service and the quality of the food. Megan’s service was nothing less than perfect and led for a relaxing night out. Ben checked on our food and brought a deserts and was a delight to speak with.

Our waiter, Ben, was great and super enthusiastic. The team here are always smiling, positive and we have a great time.

Had pork balls for starter, mushroom chiabatta for main and banoffee waffle for dessert 🍪 adequate portion size. Ben was one of our servers, lovely, friendly & helpful. Great variety of drinks behind bar too. Including alcohol free for those driving Was there for over 3 hrs for a birthday meal, time flew by.

We went as a group of 29 people. The manager was very helpful with the booking, and setting us up in a large area. Menu and food was good and the service was excellent, and I particularly appreciated that the pub was very easily able to take payment from each person individually. I did not use the booking webpage to pre-order the food, but instead provided the manager with a spreadsheet with our choices - this was perfectly acceptable, and the servers coped well with giving the right food to the right people. This was about the fifth time we have come here for our group Christmas lunch.

We are lucky to have a fantastic pub on our doorstep and regularly visit with our daughter. The food has very much improved over the past few months and as always the atmosphere and staff are great and accommodating to families.

We had a celebration meal with friends, and ate off the seasonal celebration menu. The food was great, service excellent, with names used from the preorder to ensure everyone got their order abd the dietary requirements were correctly catered for. Atmosphere was nicely festive. A lovely lunch out with no pressure to clear the table for a sharp second sitting. Thanks to Ian , Darcey and Chloe for looking after us so well.

I stopped here quickly to charge my car while on a trip to Bath. The space is cosy and nice. Looks old, but I guess that's the point of vintage 🙃 The coffee wasn't bad, I had a Cappuccino as you can see.

Fabulous place! Loved how dog friendly it is too - water bowls and treats for each table. The food was hot and fresh and the table was spacious for 9 of us. Will return asap!

Like the Christmas decorations, the girl with a fat ass and blond hair think it was Liz or Liv was very patient and welcoming. Staff was friendly and good came quickly was very impressed with the sticky toffee pudding

Lilly is my favourite member of staff, she lit the fire when I was cold and gave me a cuddle to keep me warm.

Stopped in here on a Sunday for lunch after walking the dogs around the nature reserve. Dogs are welcome inside but we sat outside as it was warm. We had the Roast beef, and Roast chicken with a side platter. Food was delicious, couldn't fault it. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Price average. We will definitely be back.

A superb pub; right on our doorstep. Welcoming and warm environment and made even better by the bubbly smile of Liv. For Liv, nothing is too much trouble; friendly and tenacious rolled into one, an asset to Hall & Woodhouse.

Busy when we went but not helped by the few empty tables not having been cleared of glasses, etc. and cleaned. My wife and I had to clear our own table and 'enjoy' our drinks next to other people's crumbs. Not helped by the three people on duty wasting their time chatting behind the bar rather than doing their jobs. Seriously unimpressed. Should have taken photos, I'll remember that next time....

Decided to have a Sunday lunch at the pub. As always the staff and service great. Had the Camembert and wife had the Roast Chicken which were delicious and then both had the Sticky Toffee for dessert - Again, very good. Highly recommended.

We decided to try De Havilland Arms after passing by a few times and being curious about it. We visited in the mid-afternoon, and it was fairly empty, which we thought was fine. The bar staff were friendly and helpful, so that was a positive start. However, the food was disappointing. After a 20-minute wait, the Double Stacked Beef Burger I ordered wasn't worth the £14.75 price tag. The bun was dry and slightly hard, the burgers were overcooked, and the filling was minimal. For that price, I expected much better quality. While the service was good, the food quality just didn’t match up. I gave it a try, but unfortunately, I don't see myself returning anytime soon.

I had not been here before, and wouldn't go again. I had booked a table and was greeted pleasantly, however, we ordered and 45 minutes later no food had appeared we got up to leave but were assured that the food would only be 5 minutes more, so decided to wait. when it arrived my meatballs were not bad, one of my friend's chilli was poor, and my other friend's sandwich was made with?Tescos sliced bread, not good!

I hadn't had a meal for a while, as my visit was short. Nice and cosy pub, and great atmosphere, as well as lovely outside too. The bar ladies were lovely and friendly on both visits in the last month.

New to the area and as this was local (even though reviews don't look great) decided to give it a try as a family. Nice outdoor area, so we sat down and I went in to get food menus. Was advised as I started walking out with the menus, that no food available as the chef was not in! Shambles and not the first review that has said this. Ended up at Morrisons next door to get our dinner and we won't ever bother going here again

Booked table of 4 for Sunday Roast at 2pm. Told after taking the order there was no roasts left. We chose grilled steak as an alternative to then be told none of those left too. Considering they advertise Sunday roasts this was very poor for a restaurant. They said it was due to hot weather and therefore unable to predict requirements. The restaurant was virtually empty when we arrived, maybe because they had no food available. Never going back, but at least our £8 drinks were refunded.

Quiet on a Monday. Good is 30% off food . So abuse bargain. However, I’m glad I don’t pay full price for the steak. Not a good cut. £6 a pint. Morrisons is just around the corner. £10 for a box.

Awful experience. Turned up with a large group to celebrate my birthday. Even though the pub wasn't busy & we were more than happy to stagger food orders, we were told we could only order sides and starters. While other groups could order mains. We still tried to stagger our orders of sides to starters so not to overwhelm the kitchen when we were cut off completely from ordering any food at all. That is the whole point of a pub is it not..... So serve food and drink??? When I asked to talk to a manager the chef stormed out of the kitchen and was extremely rude. It is a real shame as we live on the estate and come to the pub often. I don't think I'll be returning any time soon.
