Food portions are amazing, staff are lovely. Great place for a Roast and to spend the rest of your Sunday. We keep coming back every weekend, fantastic place

The beautiful thing about this place is that it's near TWO hotels, and yet you can get two different clienteles, depending on the time. Lunch: many visitors, good pub food, and great beer. After dinner drinks: This is a LOCALS pub; I"m not sure I heard an accent matching ours any night we came. But well-behaved patrons, happy folks all about at any hour, made this a spot for repeat visits. The staff were understanding of us clueless yanks -- big ups to Thando in particular! Made us happy each time we came back and saw her smiling face tending bar (or doing 500 other tasks, it seemed!).

The fish and chips are delicious, the environment is comfortable and friendly, and the yummy beer complements the experience.

A decent stop off for a pint, en route to Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant for food (just along the road). In a lovely location, not far from our Travelodge in Southwark, this was a traditional London pub, representative of what you’d expect to pay for a pint in the city. Plenty of seating inside and good draught choices - I without hesitation opting for a Birra Moretti. The atmosphere was lively - it was disappointing that the weather was so bad otherwise we would have sat outside, where it also looked great. Overall, a steady start to a good few hours out in the capital.

Pleasant decor and swift yet unobtrusive service contribute to a relaxed informal environment. Appealing range of sandwiches and more substantial pub grub, in generous portions, and good selection of craft ales, spirits, and wines. Difficult (but not impossible) to find parking.

This traditional london pub can be found within walking distance if the southbank of London, it has lots of old features that add to the ambiance, I didn’t eat this time but it is a Fullers pub and they usually have a decent pub menu on offer, it was clean and the staff friendly

Nice traditional pub which is popular in the evenings. There’s a decent atmosphere, both the staff and customers are friendly and with the large tables it’s suitable for groups. Toilets are located upstairs and both spacious and clean, as is the rest of the place. A decent spot for a drink with friends.

Don't go here if you're hungry. Food is overpriced and portions are minuscule. £18.50 for fish and chips, there were about 5 chips hidden under the fish. Very stingy portions, same with the overpriced sandwiches. Quality is ok, but it wouldn't fill up anorexic mouse.

Drinks are standard, food is awful. We paid £17.50 for the worst burgers, I could make better at home using Tesco Value ingredients. Our burgers were burnt and the buns were clearly very cheap. I’d happily pay £8 for the burger, £17.50 is extortionate. Do not go here!!!!!

It's an OK pub! Good drinks selection. Got ignored a bit while the staff finished their conversation. Decent pint but but need a bit of character.

This a great pub, small with very friendly and efficient staff. We held a 30th birthday party in their upstairs room and everything was very well organised. Unlike some other pubs we approached, the communication was excellent from the moment we first enquired about the booking. All my emails were answered quickly and the service on the day was fantastic. We had some buffet food and this was tasty and with good sized portions. We’ve also been for a quiet drink and some lunch in the downstairs bar and found it to be a friendly and pleasant place to spend an hour or 2.

Friendly staff - food was above average. It was next to the Hilton Bankside Hotel and the menu was affordable bar food.

Dropped in on our way back to our hotel and what a surprise. The barman was more than helpful and attentive. I had a pint of Fuller's Xpresso Milk Stout that was so good I enjoyed a second. My wife had a NZ SB that she thoroughly enjoyed she also went for a second. We rounded off the drinks with a perfect serving of hot chips, mayo and tomatoe sauce (we refuse to call it ketchup!!). The general atmosphere at the White Hart was so comfortable and relaxing we noticed another couple nodding off. We will definitely recommend others to pay a visit and enjoy the atmosphere of this quaint local pub. Many thanks again for the warm hospitality.

What a lovely traditional London pub! We come from the South Coast having a weekend away. Arriving on a Friday night it was quite busy. A lovely young girl behind the bar went out of her way to try and find us somewhere to sit. Once we had settled, she checked on us to make sure we were comfortable . All the staff were very conscientious and friendly and everything was clean. The atmosphere in the bar was great and seemed like there were many locals. We were only there for a couple of hours and felt very at home, we chatted to Sou the Manager in that short time and her staff were charming. We did not eat at the White Hart but thought the menu looked really tempting. I highly recommend this lovely, friendly pub just outside of the madness and crowded, brilliant place that London is.

We had a family meal at The White Hart last week. It was absolutely delicious. The slow roast lamb was so tasty - literally fell off the bone. The vegetables were cooked well and the Yorkshire Puddings were spot on. We had extra gravy as it was so tasty. We couldn't manage a pudding as we were so full from the mains, but will definitely be back to try them out soon. Service was good too. A characterful neighbourhood pub with a warm welcome.

Classico PUB inglese che serve anche la cena. Il servizio è molto cortese e pronto anche se eravamo in 20 non abbiamo avuto problemi. E' dotato di una sala al primo piano dove si può mangiare. ¡Qué pub tan encantador! Encontramos este pub por casualidad en un viaje reciente a Londres y estamos muy contentos de haberlo hecho. Es realmente atractivo y acogedor y tiene un ambiente relajado. Tienen una excelente variedad de cervezas artesanales e IPA de barril, así como algunos vinos decentes. El personal super amable también. Espero volver a visitar en el futuro.

A busy pub which seemed to be very popular with plenty of people eating. We chose the pie of the day which was delicious and recommended.

stopped in for Sunday roast and was rewarded with an outstanding meal. The beef was very tasty, the vegetables (carrots, parsnips, potatoes) were all really well prepared. I did not even know much I liked parsnips until now. It came with a Yorkshire pudding, too and a tasty broth/gravy.

Sat out on the patio on a beautiful sunny September afternoon and enjoyed a couple of pints while my lovely wife had some excellent ciders. The menu is just OK. I recommend the Fish bites as a decent snack to accompany your beverage. The service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

We had lunch here. Good food, great service and - a special note of thanks - spotlessly clean toilets! Good location for visiting Tate Modern and The Old Vic.

How this place can claim to be a gastropub is beyond me. Admittedly I only ate in the downstairs bar area, but I did not expect my meal (burger and chips - £18.90 including a pint) to arrive in a plastic basket. Embarrassing. If this place doesn't have enough respect for its customers to serve their food on plates, maybe they should stop serving food in the bar altogether.

Una cálida bienvenida, todo el personal era alegre y definitivamente nos dieron servicio con una sonrisa. Excelente comida, el domingo asado fue absolutamente delicioso y un pudín de Yorkshire increíble! Las hamburguesas también bajaron bien. Los postres eran muy buenos también. Came to the White Hart tonight for the leaving drinks of someone who'd been with the company for 20 years. Got unceremoniously kicked out of the upstairs bit by 10pm in the middle of the leaving speeches.

Looking for a place to eat. Saw this place. Looked like a typical London pub, so we went in. It was a real pub, but food was served upstairs in a separate restaurant. Service was prompt, atmosphere was good. The menu was varied and had what we wanted at reasonable prices. The food when it came was well cooked, well presented, and tasted great. A wise decision to eat there. If in the area, I will return.

Came with a friend for dinner. You have to order at the bar and they bring the food. I had pea and mint soup which was very nice. Friend of mine had the fish and chips - the fish looked a bit burned. We shared sticky toffee pudding which was nice. Prices are ok.

Un grupo de nosotros tuvimos una muy buena comida de pub aquí. La cerveza está bien conservada y la tarta de bistec y cerveza bien por encima de la habitual comida de pub. Tartas individuales hechas a mano con un montón de relleno (no solo salsa) y pasta de pasta corta. El puré tiene mucha mantequilla y las verduras no se cocinan demasiado. Buena relación calidad-precio y un ambiente muy animado. Definitivamente usaré esto nuevamente para después de las reuniones de trabajo.

The White Hart was nicely renovated in 2018 and still serves Fullers beers and does food. The food is quite expensive for a pub but pretty good too.

We had the vegan chilli, some nachos and a lager and an IPA, all was surprisingly good, good service and authentic spot with good feel and ambiance.

This friendly pub is just a short walk from The Tate Modern and well worth a visit for drinks and lunch after a stroll by the river! I visited it after walking my dog and were welcomed with open arms and a dog treat for Dolly! I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and even went back the next day with my wife to have a drink after a Valentine’s Walk by the river. It was busier this time but again, the dog and ourselves were welcomed. Thanks for rounding off a lovely evening and will be back again!

Very traditional pub, well located on Bankside. Drinks selection was varied, prices reasonable, staff welcoming and attentive. Place had a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Visited this fullers pub with a few friends it has a warm and friendly atmosphere and it is only 10 minutes or so walk from Southwark tube so quite close to the Tate Modern Gallery and the Southbank.

We popped into the White Hart before having dinner in the Tate Modern on Saturday evening. The range of beers was vast, but what struck us most was how friendly and accommodating the staff were. It was a really lovely pub, so much so that we went back after dinner for a couple more. If you want a nice place to visit with well kept beers this is an excellent watering hole to visit.

Dropped in for an 'ad hoc' lunch after visiting the nearby Tate Modern and took advantage of the excellent Fuller's Kitchen January Offer. Good beer and wine, tasty food and smiling service. An all round good decision on our part!

We had just got in from Waterloo and all needed a hot meal. So 13 of us piled into the pub and were directed to the snug. Giuseppe took our drinks order and then meal orders from the specials board and menu all without using pen and paper - what a great memory. One of our party was Gluten Free and they were able to accomodate her. There is an outside eating area and it was clean and fresh. Each of us enjoyed the meal and service.

Ya no trabajo en la zona y tengo pocas oportunidades de visitar lo que era uno de mis pubs favoritos, tradicionales y viejos. Siempre estaba lleno y la familia que lo dirigía daba un gran servicio, servía cerveza y comida. Los sándwiches de la puerta con Ham. los chips bone + real fueron legendarios. Lamentablemente ahora parece estar bajo "Administración" y vende sándwiches pequeños de pescado a un precio inflado - ahora es ese tipo de establecimiento - La popularidad parece estar baja.

Came here for Sunday lunch. Sat upstairs in the light and airy dining area. We both had the Butternut squash and Feta cheese Wellington. Very tasty, served with nicely cooked vegetables, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Had to ask if Vegetarian though as not marked as such on the menu? Friendly waiter, attentive but not intrusive. Would definitely eat here again.

Five of us had a relaxing, really enjoyable lunch at the White Hart today. I believe it has been recently refurbished and you can tell. The upstairs dining room was clean, bright, airy with a chilled atmosphere. There was something for everyone on the menu from a roast with veg to a healthy salad. The cider was great. Helpful and cordial staff ....if we are in this area again we will definitely be back.

I was staying overnight in London at the end of July for work and my colleagues brought me here for a few drinks at the end of their shift, I'm not sure what I was expecting but not what seemed to be the type of pub I get back home slap bang in the centre of London! It's very much no frills and I was sat on a little pew but it had such a nice, relaxing atmosphere and I never felt out of place which is something I often worry about. We stayed for several hours and the staff never made us feel rushed at all it was all very local and friendly and I've compared it to the Queen Vic on Eastenders ever since, if I ever return to this part of London I will definitely be back!

Spent a nice evening here while staying in the area. Nice pub, with a great atmosphere. If you like good beer then you will not be disappointed as they has a couple of good brews. Obviously they also have a good selection of lagers and other drinks.

The White Hart is one of the few remaining traditional English pubs selling home made food and a wide range of beers, The staff are friendly and the décor is like the pub "Old School", Tis pub gets very busy in the summer and the majority of people choose to stand outside.

Stopped here on a Wednesday evening for a quick drink. The pub was busy, with people also standing outside chatting. Service was quick and efficient. A half pint lemonade was £1.40.

This pub was situated across the road from the Premier Inn where we were staying so we thought it would be ideal after a day sightseeing. The pub was closed on the Sunday, was closing at about 10pm on the Monday - when we had to almost beg for another drink with a response from the very unhappy looking barmaid after asking if we could have another of "I guess so" and we were almost literally thrown out on the Tuesday night at about 11pm when the bar went from reasonably busy to just us. We understood from the barman that lunchtimes are quite busy so we can only assume that profits are so high that trade at £22 per round can be turned away. Great on a sunny day with a south aspect. Quiet street. Ale average, which may explain why a lot were drinking cider and lager.

My company recently moved to the local area, and our first experience of the local pubs was this one. Average enough boozer but the bar staff have put me off returning, one guy in particular was very rude and mistrusting of us. He told me off for being too loud (er.... it's a pub, you'd think they'd want us to be having fun) and told my friend off for drinking her drink before i'd paid for it (I was literally there with my bank card IN MY HAND ready to pay - I wasn't planning to run off).Sadly, although I was having a great evening, this rude individual killed the atmosphere. Such a big shame as it could have been our new local. I'll be steering clear and spending my money elsewhere.
