Looks like Love Walk Cafe needs more love to its meals ! I ordered an American breakfast, it looked really pretty but tasted like nothing. Eggs and pancakes were tasteless and the pancakes were burnt under. Looked like low quality ingredients, or maybe it needs a change of recipe. But a bit too pricey for what it was. The atmosphere and decoration is nice though.

I got a corn fritters portion, which came quite small for the price, also the smashed avocado was barely any on it. Also 7 pound for a fruity juice is a bit much. I hope the staff is being appropriately paid considering the price of the lunch. Very relaxed welcoming cafe, they use bon soy milk which is not the cheap stuff as used in almost all the other cafes in the area, food was perfectly cooked 😋 and served in reasonable time.

Decided to have brunch while in the area for work. I had eggs benedict, my go-to brunch, and it was delicious. Friendly staff and great service. Will return when I'm back in the area.

A lovely lunch but £2.50 for a poached egg is a bit excessive.

Great service, great food, great drinks! I’ve been here a couple of times before and always had a nice experience. I came for brunch with my Nan and friend and we all enjoyed everything. My Tuna steak salad was so good and I really appreciate how easy the staff made it when I wanted to replace an item from my dish. The team were all so lovely, over all a great way to start my day thank you and see you again :)

Great place to have breakfast or lunch

Decided to take my friend for a belated birthday breakfast after going past it regularly. Apart from the good vibe and good service from the ladies, that is all i can say about the place. The guy behind the til seemed a bit tense and lack of friendliness. I ordered this special name toasted sandwich with salad. The salad itself is very uninspiring(just a few mixed salad with sweet corn, i called it lazy salad from a well established place). The toasted sandwich is dry and lack of flavour. The menu is prettt pricy, so i do hope the staff are being paid handsomely for their good service.

Have to say I never leave a bad review, but on this occasion. Am voicing my experience as a black woman, the atmosphere and greeting's was far from welcoming. I sensed tension and feelings of not being welcomed. As someone who traveled from villeges, to countrysides in the UK this was certainly a first. The rush to get my order and leave as quick as possible was clear and admit and a little passive aggressive. Such a shame to be fare to have experienced an unwelcome greating. And no goodbye. (The goodbye doesn't bother me, but everything else was just shameful from the man at the front making coffee, to the young waitress at the till) My final word Judgement and discrimination can be felt. So I choose to not act, in what I experienced today.🙏🏿 Judgement and discrimination hurts, regardless of what happend to you! It wasn't right.

went in today with friends looked really cute on outside. Service was good apart from the food. Ordered an Italian Job panini which was meant to have rocket but only had one leaf. My friend also ordered a Veggie delight but was not very delighted to find only one olive in her panini. Payed a fair £9.70 for something my 5 year old could put together.

Very tasty toasted baguette and tea to take away. Not that many options in sandwich, baguette, panini terms, but the one I had was tasty. Little pricey. But would return. Staff friendly and helpful.

This is the third time I am here and it is now clear that i won't ever come back. Sausage is burnt, sourdough toast is only toasted one side and burnt too. Paid 14.50 for this poor quality food, and coffee is also expensive here compare to what they offer. Black Americano is 3.70

We went here for a Sunday brunch, and it was a lovely surprise. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming, and the laid-back atmosphere, with the windows folded open, just added to the sunny atmosphere. I went for full English, while my wife went for the North American. Youngest got eggs benedict and daughter a roll. All were declared delicious, and the smoothies were also very well done. The only fault is the cup of tea is the usual meh, but that's London water for you and beyond anyone's control unless you buy bottled water to make tea. I'd not hesitate to recommend this place. It's a little gem.

This is our favourite local cafe. Staff and service are always 10/10. Coffee is delicious. But in the last few weeks sadly the standard of the sausage sandwiches has gone down hill…they were the BEST sausage sandwiches. The bread is now a bit flaky and dry - used to be perfectly toasted and buttered. Please bring the old ones back 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Really lovely cafe in Camberwell. A welcoming service and staff are super friendly as well as attentive! We visited for breakfast on a Sunday and the cafe was busy with food waiting time up to 40 mins. We had to change our order as we were quite in a rush but the food was good and the smoothies were delicious ! Defo a visit if you’re local and hungry.

LW Cafe is sadly a consistent rip off. The breakfasts are substandard and the same price as proper quality brunch places elsewhere in London. Not only is this BY FAR the most expensive coffee and breakfast in Camberwell (around £5 for a coffee with oat milk), but they will try charge you extra at any opportunity. I asked for a drop of extra oat milk in my tea as they didn’t bring me enough, and they added £2 to my already inflated bill. The main staff / owners have been unfriendly and unhelpful every time I’ve gone in. My friend worked there as a waiter for a while and got paid well under London living wage (£9 per hour… crazy low for somewhere that charges so much). Other hospitality places nearby pay a reasonable wage and charge less. I recommend to go support nicer businesses nearby like Irene’s (£5 for coffee AND delicious fresh pastry), Cafe Mona, Lumberjack, Sugarpot (great breakfast food), or Rock Steady Eddie’s (if you want cheap, old fashioned greasy spoon).

I’ve ordered a Bacon and egg baguette from this place on Deliveroo. When I received my order it was a very laughable sausage and egg baguette (PLEASE LOOK AT THE PIC😭😭😂😂) There is barely 1 egg in here. Like I get it was 7:30 in the morning but damn giving me an old dehydrated egg is just mean. I did call assuming they gave me the wrong order. He was so rude and dismissive not even an apology h told me “don’t order from here of you don’t like it” Which I respect but the reason I don’t like it is their fault. If they made it correctly like the photos and with maybe an ounce of love it could have been amazing. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Edit: Your reply back to me was absolutely unprofessional,unnecessary and quite rude. Good heathly food selection and decent coffee. Table service also provided. Short distance from King's Hospital so a good heathly option between appointments. As per standard these days not cheap but happily, worth it

I turned up just as the doors were opening at 7am. Very friendly spot, clearly at the heart of that community.

I had lunch here outside before visiting my mum in hospital. The service was amazing - super friendly. I had sweetcorn fritters with avocado, tomato chutney, halloumi etc. it was delicious. Also had an orange, carrot and ginger juice - also delicious. Sat outside. You order at bar and pay which is good if you need a speedy bite to eat. Went in to order a coffee to go and it was on the house! It was such a nice gesture and really brightened my day. Thank you.

Got seated straight away and then once we'd ordered both our coffee and food came within 5-10 minutes . All cooked well and very tasty , as a vegetarian I like my food seasoned well and it was . Great atmosphere,warm welcome and will definitely be returning !! 😊

Very good food, great and friendly staff, fast service. The only reason I deducted 1 star are the prices, seriously £7 for orange juice and £9.5 for just eggs on toast whereas the egg sarnie is £5.5 and is just the same thing. Doesn't make sense.

Bland meat, lack of seasoning on food, too much mayonnaise used in wrap and completely overpriced. Definitely not worth it! Just grab a sandwich in any chain!

It is imperative that independent cafes are supported. We must look beyond the chains if we are to save our high streets. Love Walk Cafe is very pleasant with plenty of tables. Cheese and spinach omelette £14.50.

We have tried both food menus - under seasoned, overpriced, poor presentation and generally disappointing. Would not recommend at all. A greasy cafe has more flavour, unfortunately. However, staff seem friendly and service was quick…maybe too quick.

Nice and pleasant. Good and friendly staff. I was told by my fiancé, who had the American breakfast, that it was excellent. The jerk chicken (burger) was good, but could have been dressed up and plated much better. They also do an excellent matcha latte, only downside was that it was in a glass. Would I go again? Yes. Went again, and YES, I got an excellent matcha latte in a glass, again. Though I did ask for a second one (so good it was) and it was served in a coffee mug (which I asked for). So now it gets 5 out of 5!!

Love this place. Great food, stunning cakes and v friendly staff. Near Ruskin Park as well as King's Hospital and Denmark Hill Station. The carrot cake is especially 😋 yummy. I had the beetroot burger which was just right.

The coffee is alright, but the food has gone seriously downhill over time, and the manager's response is to accuse you of lying when you complain about the problems with the food. Used to be a nice breakfast spot, but if you're hungover I seriously wouldn't risk having to interact with that numpty of a manager. Edit 2023: Been here one more time since I posted this (family member suggested it) and the manager is still an angry little man, luckily I didn't have to talk to him again but he was berating a customer at another table who complained about their food being cold - still not a nice atmosphere thanks to that guy 😔

Tasty sandwich , bread was fresh and filling was relatively generous. Banana and peanut butter milkshake was good. Will defo order again.

Ordered english breakfast and I received a fried egg sandwich. Paid £9.95 for that. When I called to complain the lady who answered the phone was very rude and not helpful.

Food and service is really good. However some areas of concern 1. Dingy and really bad state toilets need urgent attention. Toilets are in the basement which you have go through a dark patch and then a very lightly lit toilet and not in a good standards either. 2. On a hot day; its not possible to sit here and enjoy tea or cafe. Its 27 degrees outside and I can't wait to finish my tea and breakfast to get out out. No fans or air con facilities. Hope the management can address these.

Popped in here for a coffee and this cafe was open and spacious and the staff were lovely. My coffee and cannoli came to £4.50. The cannoli was amazing, chocolatey, chewy and not too sweet. My coffee was large and milky. Not the best coffee ive had as it was so milky, but the atmosphere was so lovely i would return.

Have visited love walk a couple of times over the last few years. Lots of space indoors and some chairs and tables outside since they have expanded. We tried their breakfast and it was ok. I would say that for what it is it’s overpriced. The service is good and in time. Would I go again? Maybe for a coffee or a brunch but would not get the breakfast again.

Got a flat white on my way to an appointment. Sadly it was one of the weakest FW I’ve had. One shot perhaps ? It felt like drinking milky dirty water. It was also too hot. Generally I don’t recommend it for take away coffees. On a positive side, the gent who welcomed me at the door was very attentive and speedy.

Visited here whilst visiting my brother in London, for breakfast the next morning when we were all hungover! All of us really enjoyed it and great veggie options too. The chai latte and smoothies were excellent

I recently visited this coffee shop in Camberwell and wanted to share my thoughts about the overall experience. Famous place in Camberwell, great atmosphere, but the quality of the food had gone down since. Not gonna lie, everything is a tad bit overpriced, I still come in often, but more for convenience than preference.

Have been here many many times since 2018, including dining in and takeaway for lunch. Food and drinks are always top notch, reasonably-priced. Service is great too, everyone is friendly and attentive.

2nd time here and went for the Full English..... it did not disappoint. I'm tempted to say that it's probably the best Full English I've had from a cafe.

Super busy footfall here but handled very well you wont be waiting very long at all . The coffee is spot on and the food was delicious

I have been living in Camberwell since 2016 and I tried all the coffee shops in the area. This is the one where I prefer to have my flat-white. I have been a coffee maker myself: I can smell the good fragrance of the coffee brand they use and I particularly like the way they can warm and foam the milk. My flat-white here is always creamy and delicious.

Pancakes were raw in the middle - sent them back but the second attempt was just as bad. No one came to ask if the replacements were any good. The decaf coffee wasn’t great either but at least it was drinkable.

We live locally and have been coming on and off for a few years; it’s usually our favourite place for a well priced breakfast. However more recently it’s not been as good and prices are increasing significantly. Today was terrible, it’s now £3.70 for a coffee and £6.50 for a smoothie, the owner even said prices are going up to £7 a smoothie! The food was also really poor - undercooked eggs and halloumi and soggy fritters. No table service either. It’s such a shame as we used to love it here but now won’t be returning.

This place was very busy, it was nice, staff were friendly, but it wasn't the most comfortable place and a little overpriced. I'd consider popping in again when it's quieter.
