Visited to set the mood with my daughter. Slice a steak while enjoying the night view of Tower Bridge. But the cost is £128.26 for one meal for two. Moreover, people are jogging in the future. I thought only restaurant guests could see the night view... The cocktail I ordered to set the mood was too strong for my taste... Still, I was intoxicated by the night view and atmosphere~

We had an amazing experience dining at this restaurant with a breathtaking view of the London Tower Bridge. The atmosphere was truly unique, blending elegance with the perfect backdrop of one of London’s most iconic sights. I highly recommend the sirloin with potatoes—it was cooked to perfection and incredibly flavorful. The staff were also wonderful, adding to the warm and inviting ambiance with their friendliness and attentiveness. It was an unforgettable meal, and I’ll definitely be back!

We were a little unsure about visiting Butlers Wharf Chophouse after reading some negative reviews recently. Nevertheless, we decided to do it because we celebrated our anniversary there almost 25 years ago - and I can only say: it was the right choice! From the start we were greeted very warmly and were allowed to choose a table. The service was consistently attentive and warm. Our waiter promptly brought us a bottle of water and two aperitifs, which promised to be a good start. Our starters, the longhorn beef tartare and the St. scallops on celery purée, were excellently prepared and beautifully presented. For the main course we chose the burger and the beef fillet with garlic mushrooms, both very tasty and cooked to perfection. A little surprise followed when we were served a tart as the house's anniversary greeting - a really nice gesture. The evening was pleasant throughout and we felt well looked after. A little research revealed that there has been a recent management change and prices have increased a bit, which probably explains some of the recent negative reviews. For us, however, the evening was a successful return to this special place. The only point of criticism: the prices for aperitifs and cocktails were a bit high. Nevertheless, we would love to come back!

Very disappointing! Very bad Sunday roast, 2 thin slices of cheap vacuum packed beef, dry Yorkshire, not enough gravy, horseradish sauce came after I had finished and I had to ask for it. Scarce veg, very poor. Puddings very poor, had better from Tesco, probably where it’s come from. All in all inadequate. I know it’s a chain and it shows. Small portions and bad quality. I used to go years back when it was Conran run and different class. Don’t waste your money.

Lovely views. Very quite, nice looking resturant. Lovely little waitress. We’re very unimpressed with Sunday Lunch! 2 very small pieces of beef 4 very small roast potatoes 1 carrot 2very small pieces of broccoli a teaspoons on gravy a teaspoon of spinach an fair sized Yorkshire pudding only half full plate. Really! I just finish my chemo and was celebrating with a nice Sunday roast as had no appetite for months! Left feeling a bit cheated and still hungry. £30.00 for a child’s sized meal which was a little on the cold side as well. Never again shame as a lovely view just a little more care and a few more vegetables and hot would have made all the difference. We didn’t complain as still looking poorly and don’t like drawing attention to my condition . I will go to Kod next time that is so much better even get seconds there.

We arrived and accommodated smoothly at 17:30 and finished by 19:30 which is already dark but we enjoyed the view of the Thames River and Tower Bridge on day and night time which opens and closes when a ferry needs to pass through. To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to follow up on my recent complaint regarding my deeply unsatisfactory dining experience at your establishment. While I appreciate the partial refund I received for the frozen sea bass and the prawn cocktail, upon further reflection, I believe a full refund is warranted. The entire meal was compromised due to the initial error of serving uncooked fish, and the subsequent handling of the situation was far from satisfactory. To reiterate the key points: My "cooked" sea bass was, in fact, frozen solid. The replacement prawn cocktail took an unreasonable amount of time to arrive, and was itself meager and disappointing. I was charged for mange tout that was inedible due to its contact with the frozen fish. I am now suffering from food poisoning as a direct result of consuming the frozen fish. The entire experience was not only appalling but also resulted in physical illness. I believe that a full refund, along with compensation for the distress and inconvenience I have endured, is the only appropriate resolution. I request your reconsideration of this matter and await your prompt response. Sincerely,

Beautiful location, excellent and friendly service by our server, over priced food and unfortunate bout of food poisoning. When we arrived, we were told to go to reception to then be seated. By the entrance, was a till area which looked like a host point so we stood there for 5 mins with no one directing us to the actual reception which was tucked around the corner (until we enquired at the bar). We requested a table outside and our server was very accommodating; offering us blankets, finding out any information we requested about the wine available, altering a meal to suit my dad’s carnivore/keto dietary preference. No faults there! I had: steak tartare and sausage roll. My dad had: steak tartare and beef burger. Steak tartare wasn’t the nicest I’ve had, but nonetheless I did finish it off! We both said the texture was a bit slimier than we have had before, but we just put it down to our own personal preference. I would have preferred more seasonings, we both said we would have liked a bigger egg yolk. The pork belly? sausage roll was very lack lustre, very small (but this was in the small bites section so understandable), no different in taste than a standard supermarket sausage roll with a blob of apple sauce on the side. Nothing special about the apple sauce, again was just the stuff you get off the shelves, didn’t really enjoy it as a combination. Dad’s beef burger was great, he loved that it was grass fed beef and as requested he didn’t have the bun or sauce so he was happy and I had his chips so I was happy too! We dined on Thursday evening, and by Saturday we both were suffering from diarrhoea, stomach pains, 1 or 2 sleepless, very feverish nights and nausea. I had to miss a days work as a result. The only thing we both ate was the tartare so it must of been that dish. It’s a real shame as this was a birthday treat! We’re from down the road in Brighton so don’t frequent London very regularly, but I think I’ll avoid this place going forward.

When they didn'tshow up with the meal was the only response I received (The food was delivered by another staff member). I ordered ice cream and sorbet for dessert. When it was delivered the staff member looked at the bowl, hesitated and then prvided a bowl of white soup. Apparently it sat on a counter for quite a while before delivery. The Sunday roast was tasty but the portion size was small especially after asking the waitress if we need extra sides we were promised the roast is a lot of food - its not. If you don't eat alot you'd be fine I guess but for the price they could give more food. Also, when asking for extra gravy as they only give you a tiny ladle, they brought another tiny ladle which was ok but then we got the bill and there was a £3.75 charge for the extra gravy! I complained and they took it off the bill. Its not alot of money but its the principle. In conclusion go there for the view or just go to a decent pub for a Roast.

I find the compulsory tip of 13,5% really too much, and the meal overall pricey for what we got. Maybe we are not tuned in on London prices but for 4 mains, 1 and a half pint of Guinness, 2 sweets, 200£ sounded a great deal of money.

Was very excited to visit this restaurant today. Attended with family, spent over £600 - which is fine IF food was good. Cheese board - absolutely joke, literally 3 different slice of cheese, 4 crackers, 4 grapes and some kind of chutney sauce. Said it was good for sharing for 4 people... Honestly did they think we came to ration? Starter oysters, scallops okay - not bad, but nothing to boast about. Main was the real big disappointment... This is a chop house - so steak etc is their main selling point so you expect them to get this bit down like perfect or at least close to it - requested medium rare, got rare - as Gordan says "it's *censore" moo'ing! Sent this back, looked honestly like crap when it came back out. Beef not seasoned, the sauce was SO bland, butter garlic sauce - where was the taste of garlic? why was the sauce SO thick? literally it looked and taste like they bought unsalted butter mixed it in some green herb. I was buttering my steak. Mind you, spending over £120 on just steak! At least put some seasoning! Waiting time between meals were bad, 30-45mins wait. Literally starving by the time each meal came. Portion size - small, after spending over £600, most of us were still hungry... We were there for 3hrs. Each time we had to call the waiter to come over so we can be "served". Not once did they come to ask if we needed to order drinks or food etc. Starters were okay, sides were actually decent - peas, mash, chips, caeser salad, we enjoyed dessert sticky pudding and really liked the view of tower bridge. You bet we will never be returning there again. We did not complain - as discount isn't what we care for and don't expect a free meal. However, paying full price and getting this kind of standard, definitely deserve a not so great review. Don't trust instagram, looks are definitely deceiving.

When our food arrives we had no plates, they eventually came. When they did, we realised the chateaubriand we ordered as medium rare was actually rare. Our waiter kindly took it back no issue. When it came back, it was as if the meat was put back on the grill but only one side. It was still rare. We ate around it as we were with our baby and knew we couldn’t wait too much longer before she became fussy. When the waiter came to clear the table, I told him to be careful the meat didn’t kick him as it has several lives-cooked twice and still alive. He acknowledged not right and brought the bill. Then the manager came by and said she was sorry for our experience and that she would take x% off the bill. We thought she said 50% but it was 15%. When she brought the bill back I commented and she said that was all she was authorised to do. This was a nice gesture but when you eat 15% of a £77 steak it’s not quite right. I tried to communicate directly with the restaurant though received no response despite following up; hence, am sharing my experience as I expect better from a quality chop house specialising in steak! **** UPDATE****** I met with Edward who invited us back honoring the 50% offer. It was like an entirely new restaurant. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious - we ordered the same menu as the previous visit. We decided we would definitely go back and be willing to bring friends, trusting the issues we experienced the first time were one offs. The venue is nice, close to home and great views of Tower Bridge for those visiting. Thank you, Edward, for making our visit a good one.

Amazing view of tower bridge. Poor food, burrata was dry, meat was chewy and the mashed potatoes was not creamy. Service was average but not great.

Food was nice, the staff were friendly and had a nice view but the portion sizes didn't make up for the price tag in my opinion. £50 for 3 courses, 2 drinks and water. Not bad for Central London but like I said, the portion sizes were very small.

First time in London. We asked for and got an outside table. The view of the Tower Bridge was amazing!! The staff was great and the food very good. After dinner I proposed with the great backdrop and she said yes!

Ihor was a lovely tentative server. Rhe salmon and sauge roll starters were nice. The steak was OK, I'm not the biggest fan of the charcoal taste on steak but some may like it. It amused me that they served the steak on such a large plate. The eton mess was very nice as was the complimentary anniversary dessert.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot to take a break and enjoy a coffee. Its location offers a breathtaking view of the Tower Bridge and the Thames, making it an ideal place to relax and take in the scenery. While we didn't have the chance to try the full menu, the dessert we ordered was absolutely superb, delighting our taste buds. The coffee was excellent, brewed to perfection, and paired wonderfully with the dessert. The service was top-notch; the staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring we had a pleasant experience. The restaurant itself is very clean, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Overall, this restaurant provided an excellent experience. With its beautiful views, delicious desserts, great coffee, and exceptional service, it's a perfect place for a coffee break. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Our conclusion was to not go back again. We went out as a family for a birthday celebration and reserved a table in advance. In a close to empty restaurant, we were seated at the furthest table at the back of the restaurant next to the toilet. When complaining to the restaurant manager, she claimed it was the most quiet private setting. There was no logic to her reasons so we just ignored it. Funnily enough the waiters (not our server) we complained to agreed with why we were unhappy and suggested we go to the restaurant manager which goes to show how much they respect or stand up for the restaurant manager. The service charge is 13.5% which is extortionate. Our server was great but unfortunately the tips don’t go to the waiters directly but down the restaurant’s pocket. Not great employee treatment. The Chateaubriand was beautifully cooked so compliments to the kitchen. There is definitely a discrepancy between the reported size on the menu and the actual delivery of the meat. For example, I ordered a 330g rib eye steak. I can only take 250g maximum knowing my limits. When the steak arrived, it looked smaller but having finished it all and not felt full confirmed the discrepancy I had suspected. The side dishes are much smaller compared to Hawksmoor or Gauchos so those dishes were by far the biggest rip off. The location is great and the outdoor terrace ambience is great. So there were some good parts and it depends on what you value but it’s not a place of recommendation from us.

I have a great experience of having dinner in Bulters, especially the environment and the food. A bit expensive but still acceptable.

Service was great but the food is not good, not tasty, the rib-eye we ask for rare and the chef cooks medium well, cream spinach was more steam spinach, match potatoes was really awful, bad flavor, hard and very dry with no flavor. The place has just a great view and that's why they took advantage of the customers.

Me and my partner walked past this restaurant and decided to rest and have desert there as we had already eaten. We got seated outside as the weather was nice and all was fine until we were asked to order. The waiters attitude changed as soon as we only asked for 2 deserts and a coffee. After a little wait the manager came over and asked us to move to the bar area as our order was small and wanted us to give up our table, the restaurant was less than half full. I assume it was because we wasn’t spending enough for them. Was taken to a dirty table that wasn’t cleaned or set up with table cover and napkins and cutlery etc. started to feel like we wasn’t valued customers anymore and when the food came the presentation was so bad. I ordered the chocolate and rum fondant and my partner ordered the sticky toffee pudding. The fondant had collapsed and was flat, and both our ice cream that came with it was half melted. We were given large table spoons to eat with. It’s like they wanted us to just eat and go asap. It’s not like we don’t have money to spend we just didn’t want to eat a mains and for that we were made to feel unwelcome. Spent 30 pounds for poor service and food. Wouldn’t recommend at all and I wish I didn’t pay the service charge little as it was to me it’s the principle.

This is a great pub. It looks and feels exactly what you would expect an English pub to look like if you were an American tourist, except there don’t seem to be many tourists (due to it being in Rotherhithe!) I’ve been many times on both weekdays and weekends. The Roast beef and roast lamb on the Sunday lunch menu are perfectly tender and the gravy is rich and flavourful. I also thoroughly recommend the whitebait for a starter. The regular menu is also fantastic, especially the pork belly, mussels, and fish and chips. There’s nothing on it that I wouldn’t love to try! The service is attentive and the locals are friendly. You can book tables on the top floor or sit in a booth/table on the bottom floor as a walk in, but the terrace hanging over the Thames was an experience. Just remember to bring warm layers in the Winter!

Wright Bros is an underrated gem in Borough Market. With an open kitchen and high dark wood tables, the atmosphere is amazing. The fish is absolutely delicious and the service is top notch. Don’t be put off by the fact it hasn’t gone ‘viral’ like it’s neighbouring restaurants, it’s just as worthy of rave reviews.

Come here every now and again because I think the Guinness is good not much of a pub atmosphere but apparently the food is decent. Anyway stopped for a Guinness, guys poured it in a straight glass, I’ve said you should let me know before hand that you don’t have any Guinness glasses as I wouldn’t have had it, he has a little chuckle and says why because you can’t split the G. No because I’m a paying customer who likes a Guinness done in the proper way end of, call me fickle but would I have a glass of red In pint glass, no

Is this the most miserable landlord in any London pub. You are not made to feel welcome in any way shape or form. Zero people skills.
