We took advantage of their £1 per oyster deal that runs through the week until 6 pm. It was already very busy when we got there so we were sat just opposite the kitchen. being newcomers to oyster eating. the waitress was kind enough to explain to us how we need to go about eating this delicacy. We also had mussels for dinner and the obligatory champagne with the oysters. We had a great time here and the oysters were good ..well at least for a first timer I didn’t feel like it was the worst thing. a good vibrant place in the heart of borough market.

Had a great time on Wednesday evening enjoying the £1 oysters deal. Shout out to Maria who served us and was great at recommending their Bloody Mary! As a minor setback, the windows above the kitchen area were open which made It quite cold where we were sitting, but everything else was great!

We had no reservation so we had to be served outdoors. Mussels and trout were really good, not excited with the fish soup. I would visit again but eating in.

Great fish and seafood - and friendly enough service. Bar seating is more than a little cosy though. Prices felt a touch high, especially drinks: £14 for a glass of wine (plus service). We shared a small starter of croquetas, had a main and portion of chips each, and a glass of wine - the bill was over £130.

Wright Bros is an underrated gem in Borough Market. With an open kitchen and high dark wood tables, the atmosphere is amazing. The fish is absolutely delicious and the service is top notch. Don’t be put off by the fact it hasn’t gone ‘viral’ like it’s neighbouring restaurants, it’s just as worthy of rave reviews.

Can be a bit tight, it’s a small space. But the food is really good

Went there, the waitress asked if we have any reservations, and we said no. And she literally walked by us and opened the door and threw us out.

Was looking for oysters and googled got me this place. Oysters are pretty awesome! Mussels are okay but portion is very generous. We ordered a bit too much and wish the server could give us a nudge when we order food! Well, this is a good food joint but a bit pdicey.

Had sharing platter with brown crab, whelks, 6 oyster,cold prawns shell on,clams, some whelks in shell, mussels in shell. Was good quality one pointer the shell on prawns were way too salty. Had Sardines to start (we shared 4) and cheese board to finish. Bottle of rose and 1/2 of oyster stout. Bill was £171 they add 12.5% service charge. NO VINEGAR AND ONLY BLACK PEPPER what's that all about! How can you have shell fish with no white pepper or vinegar. Shame as it spoilt the platter l!!!

Experienced food poisoning almost immediately after eating here. I spoke with the manager who explained I could follow up with him via email and never heard anything back. Poor quality food and poor quality customer service. Wouldn’t recommend. - To add insult to injury, the food poisoning has developed into a stomach virus. Avoid this place.

It's quite delicious. It's a little bit worse than the French seafood cold cuts. I'll give it a five-star rating.

Came here today to enjoy some Oyster on their weekly deal of 1£ Oysters from 3PM to 6PM. It was absolutely marvellous! Got some Italian Wine and a few sides! The croquettes were magnificent! We were served by Joanna who did such a great job at setting the atmosphere and making sure we felt comfortable! Thank you so much to the entire team! Will definitely be coming back soon!

My partner and I went there for a seafood meal, taking advantage of the offer on oysters. The atmosphere at the entrance is very pleasant, and Luana immediately put us at ease, explaining the menu with the various options. We obviously ordered oysters, accompanied by a half pint of prawns, the fried breaded whitebait, and a side of chips. The quality of the food was really good, and it was also suggestive to eat in front of the open kitchen. The taste of the oysters was divine, and I think they are the cheapest in all of London. We will definitely be back. Thanks to all the staff and in particular to Luana.

Disgustingly rude front of house staff. We were not sure if we wanted to eat or not. We wanted to start with a glass of port. The waitress seethed at us that we could only stand outside , and tables were strictly for diners . She was less than accommodating. There are ways to share with customers that tables are prioritised for diners only at busier times of the day and to do that with a smile. We will never return, and certainly not recommend .

We went for their £1 per oyster, got more bits as well. Friendly staff, good food and portion sizes were more than satisfactory. They do specials so make sure to check them out lots of options apart from the a la carte menu. I’d suggest booking before, it gets busy.

Fab spot with market fresh fish and seafood. Started with decent cocktails. Beautiful oysters with a Japanese dressing. A lovely ceviche with Blueberries! All starters were generous portions and mains were well cooked and tasty. Definitely recommend.

The seafood in this restaurant is very fresh. The oysters are selected from the British oysters recommended by the restaurant. Other seafood are grilled sardines. In addition, their fish cake is very good. The blue mussels cooked in white wine are a dish I must try in every restaurant in Europe. Dishes, they all do well and the mussels are plump and plump. The waiters explained each ingredient carefully. A restaurant worth recommending.

The fish was so fresh, well cooked, well presented and tasted amazing. The Waitress was so friendly and knew the menu inside out. Highly recommend going to this restaurant.

Only go if you want food poisoning! Me and my date were wiped out by food poisoning from oysters here, and talking to a chef friend was shocked to find the place is notorious for this! How is it even allowed to stay open? Staff were nice, hopefully they can find jobs elsewhere.

I recently visited and was blown away by the £1 Pop Oysters—absolutely amazing! I could easily order hundreds more. The Crab Courgette was also delightful, and their cocktail menu was impressive. However, the service could use some improvement. Despite having a reservation, I found myself waiting for a table while walk-ins were seated before me, which was frustrating. Better management of reservations would definitely enhance the experience. While the oysters were spectacular and did not disappoint, be prepared for a wait. Service was slow, and I even had to stand with the people in line just to pay the bill. Overall, the food was top-notch, but the service could be more efficient.

We stopped by Wright Brothers at Borough Market just before heading to Heathrow Airport. Sitting outside on a vibrant Saturday noon, the street was bustling with energy and full of people passing by. The combination of fresh oysters and a crisp Chenin Blanc was simply perfect. The lively atmosphere made the lunch even more enjoyable. It was the ideal stop for a final London indulgence before our flight. Highly recommended for a laid-back yet memorable seafood experience!

This restaurant was one of my most favorite restaurants on our trips. We had 2 dozens oysters from Jersey during the happy hours. The fish pie had some great depth too as it was made of at least 2 types of fish. The environment was a little warm, but everything else was spot-on.

Walking around Borough market , myself and my lady decided to have some oysters and Knowing Wright Bros, As a supplier and the beautiful restaurant in Battersea where I actually celebrated my past birthday, We decided to choose W.Bros Borough market, where we had a truly disappointed experience, Not food wise but service wise , a total lack of HOSPITALITY from the basic meaning of it. Receiving food before drinks not even had the water offered, whatever Tap, Or bottled. It was asked to wait 10 min for the oyster happy hour , which in the end it was not re-proposede . Despite the money which wasn't an issue but We wanted an experience here is W.Bros has failed at this stage. Lots to impove.

I really enjoyed eating here, but I wasn't expecting a 12.5% service charge to be added. I understand they could tell I wasn’t from the UK, but adding this charge without informing me doesn’t feel right. I paid it because I didn’t want to create an awkward situation, but as a tourist, I know that Im not obligated to pay it. Tourists, be aware—they might add the service charge without mentioning it and put you in an uncomfortable position.

Amazing seafood was such a treat

Long time since I have been here. Still hot, small and busy. No reservation but the friendly staff were very helpful and seated us within a couple of minutes. Good news, the food was excellent. We went with four small plates - cod and crab croquettes, scallops, sea bass ceviche, humous and soda bread and a side of fries. Bad news, on this hot August day, all five draught beers were off and only two out of five canned beers were available, stout and IPA, and they weren’t cold. Pretty poor. Five stars for food and staff, three for virtually no beer. We’ll settle on four.

One of our party got food poisoning after eating at Wright Bros. I let the management team know immediately via the feedback form, and received what I now presume was an automated/copy & paste reply telling me that they "do not take negative feedback lightly" and to allow them to look into it. Unfortunately I have had no response at all since, despite following up twice, so I can only conclude that actually they don't care at all about giving customers food poisoning. We have eaten at multiple locations of Wright Bros in the past but we will not be back. Absolute kick in the teeth to spend £250+ and not even receive the courtesy of an email reply.

When we went there, it was full house and the waitress asked us to wait for the barrel seats. While we were waiting, we saw some people left from the table inside the restaurant but the waitress said the tables were being reserved. Then we said we won’t stay for long but she insisted that we have to wait for the barrel seat. Then we waited for around 20min for the seat and we only got 2 stools for 3 people. It was not a pleasant feeling of standing and having oysters. (Nobody came for the reserved tables at least 10 min after we finished and paid our bill) We went there at happy hour time as we wanna try the £1/oyster. We ordered a dozen of oysters and all of them were very small. The taste of the oysters was normal but quite disappointing. We also ordered a white wine recommended by the waitress which was £46. We think that was quite overpriced.

This is the one. If you like fish and lively feeling place then you eat here, it’s that simple. Food is awesome, drinks are awesome (especially the Bloody Mary) and the atmosphere is great.

We stopped here for a spot of lunch after wandering round Borough Market and what a find. We hadn’t booked so sat on one of their barrel tables out the front. We had champagne, oysters, prawns and sardines and everything was delicious. The staff were knowledgable, nothing was too much trouble and the service was excellent. We actually went on a few of their recommendations for what we ordered and were delighted by their choices. Thank you for a delicious lunch! A real highlight of our trip.

We thought some of the fish dishes were fully priced but found good value at lunchtime with the Mussels and Spaghetti Vongole. Service was efficient, don’t arrive before Noon as they will turn you away, wont allow you to sit down. Suitable for casual meal, place has no atmosphere.

Was there today, 7/31. My husband entered the restaurant about 3 pm which was not very busy, and I followed him in. An incredibly rude, hard-faced brunette female manager physically shoved me aside and said, "You jumped the line." I immediately left the place. This manager should not be physically intimidating people and putting her hands on them. I wonder how much business she has cost them? Plenty of more welcoming places in Borough Market.

Unless low prices are important to you, don't bother waiting in line at street food to eat paella. If you want to eat seafood, I recommend this place.

Just wow, never experience such rudeness from just stepping in the front door. Frequent this venue and others around London and always like to come for oysters and rose. Arrived and said that we would like a table for 2, multiple empty tables so I requested one in the front. I had said that we were after drinks and before I said nibbles, I was cut off and told that I drinking was only allowed standing outside and no seats. Taken back I started to say “umm we were looking for nibbles” but even stopped myself because if this was the service I was didn’t want to step in. This was 4pm on a Wednesday, the lul before lunch and dinner. My suggestion is if have a problem with drinking tables giving a lower spend per head, put a time limit on the table. Secondly, train yourself to offer in the slightest level of customer interaction. Never again.

The service was so bad that I left. Really bad experience. Thank god, because I went across the road at the Black &steak restaurant and hade the best meal and service.

We were not treated well by staff. Asked if we had a reservation, then there was a hesitation, but the place was empty. Asked if we were going to eat, and we were shown to a table at the bar. Which was not a table and I front of the cooks. Very uncomfortable. We took our business across the street to the Black and Blue Steak house. Drop $200 for dinner and had a great meal.

Went to ask if they have a table for us and lady who looks to be the manager who was wearing red rudely said no even though we can see seats available. Would not recommend for tourist.

Fantastic fresh seafood and great service! The desserts were a bit blend, which takes one star away from the food.

A meal of 2 halves. Negatives first 3 waiting staff ignored me whilst I waited to be seated I was sat right in front of the kitchen even though the bar seats were free (and remained free for the duration of my meal) They forgot my whelks as part of seafood platter. But did get them immediately when I mentioned it. They did not include brown shrimp, although should have been included. The clams were not fresh. Clam meat inserted into the shells. But luckily the chef and sous chef were a positive half of the evening. Jose and Davide were great to talk to. Really personable and the food they were producing from the kitchen looked spectacular. Good size portions.

The oysters are fresh and from different regions (England, Ireland and Scotland). The mussels are very good (warning: very large portion!). The service is excellent. Food intolerances such as gluten are taken into account. You should definitely reserve in advance, it is always fully booked!

Seafood was very mediocre. Oysters, clams, mussels, shrimps were small and dirty with a lot of grit. Clam linguine was full of empty shells and poorly plated. The pasta itself was bland. Overpriced for its quality. Service was overly hurried. Waitresses repeatedly tried to take plates that were evidently not done away (there were large whelk pieces and whole oysters still on the platter). No idea why the restaurant was rated so highly on Google Maps. The quality does not match its rating nor its price.

5star We’d been a few times to Wright Brothers , but today was so good I had to write about it. We had, between 2, fabulous fish soup , a great fish pie and very tasty mussels. All were superbly cooked. Service was outstanding and the bill, including drinks , was just over £80. Recommended to all, but at weekends book ahead

Went there on a Saturday and got here was an outdoor table and they refused us entry. Yes, maybe it was reserved but it was the lack of care and service shown that was upsetting. Go to Elliott’s!!! Great service there.

I recently visited the Wright Brothers Oyster & Porter House in London and had a mixed experience. The oysters were fantastic, and the wine was amazing. The chef who was opening the oysters was incredibly hospitable, making the dining experience enjoyable. His friendly and welcoming attitude is a credit to the establishment and a reason to recommend a visit. However, our experience was marred by the behaviour of the manager. When our friend arrived and took a seat at the bar, the manager abruptly intervened, insisting that the seats next to us were reserved, despite there being no indication to that effect. Her approach was excessively harsh and sucked the joy out of the moment. My friend apologised and we finished our food and drinks hurriedly, feeling unwelcome. I approached the manager to explain that we intended to have a few more drinks and then leave, which would have benefited the business. Instead of understanding, she accused me of calling her a liar and was generally rude and obnoxious. After our friend left, no one occupied the so-called reserved seats for at least ten minutes, by which time we had already decided to leave and paid our bill. This experience was disappointing, especially given the otherwise friendly reputation of Borough Market. The manager's behaviour let the venue down significantly. In summary, while the food and service from the chef were excellent, the manager's attitude was a major obstacle. Visitors can enjoy the quality oysters and wine, but should be aware of the potential for an unpleasant experience due to the management.

An excellent spot for oysters and seafood! We went during their happy hour and had a lot of oysters for £1 a pop. Their shrimp was also good! Service was friendly, fast and on point. The place was a bit loud and hot - maybe the management can consider using their AC’s. Will definitely be back!

We were there for my husband’s birthday and served by Martina. He was such a delightful waiter! Very friendly and knowledgeable of the dishes and he helped to make it a special night for my hubby. Thank you Martina!

Cracking lunch at WB on Monday earlier this week for my mum’s birthday. Staff were lovely & knowledgeable & brought some truffles & candles at the end of the meal. Oysters & cod+crab croquettes were incredible. Highly recommended.

Fabulous sea food service and atmosphere, so what more do I need to say to fill my 100 words Probably useful to know it’s all high bar or bench type seating. Very unpretentious setting. We were served by Imad who was so very helpful with his comprehensive oyster tutorial and suggestions of what to choose. Oysters to start our tastebuds followed by THE MOST AMASING SCALLOP dish, then half a lobster each with a bottle of picpaul £104 pp. Tastiest freshest fish in a while. Highly recommend booking. Grilled sardines should have been cleaned. Flavours were good but on the balance they could have invested more in ensuring customer gets some value for money. Portions were small. 3 small sardines for £14, and half a Ray wing for £28. Why half :-). Then add sides. Service was very good.

It was like being processed like cured ham. The chefs didn't care when constructive feedback was given, waitress joked to get desert to balance block of salt; come and dine here if you want stroke from high blood pressure!

Dissatisfied, pre reservation 10 days before. Falsely advertised by the booking portal, to be greeted personally! which completely surprised the person in charge. But as we have learnt, tourists are just a blip on their radar. We are not welcome. We will not be returning. Service stepped up after they saw we were not happy.

I experienced probably one of the worst introductions to a business ever today. A lady and the chef were trying to open up the doors outside so the restaurant was more open. Whilst I was reading the menu, which is lovely, a family were behind me and the man tried to offer help. The lady who worked there said "what are you looking at, we don't need help". I was shocked. I work only a few doors away from you and have been in the industry for 15 years. If I ever saw one of my staff say that to a customer they would be gone in a heartbeat. I even offered help to the chef when she wasn't touching the doors and she came back over and was so rude.... I'm still so surprised someone can talk like that to people who are just trying to help. It wasn't like we were standing there watching them struggle. We were offering help and that's how she spoke to us. Absolutely disgusting attitude. Sunday 12th May at around 10:30am.

Fabulous evening at Wright Brothers Borough Market on Tuesday. My husband and I popped in earlier in the day with little hope that we might secure a table for later at such short notice. Veronica the General Manager was excellent as always. Welcoming us warmly, she arranged the reservation even putting us at our favourite table without us having to ask. We returned later and were looked after royally by Joanna and Jake. Our oysters and fish pies were perfection. Even the green salad is scrumptious. Wonderful evening.
