Rude staff -require training on how to talk to customer. Dirty and shabby we walked out, didn't want to spend my money in such a sub standard restaurant.

Oops! We rated this high in August and booked a 7 person birthday lunch on Saturday. Good table, kids pack but service standards were far below what we have experienced before here. Very slow to take a drinks order, even slower to deliver them second time around, salad bar not replenished in a timely fashion and changes in some of the food unwelcome. It’s great for kids but Harvester must employ sufficient staff to cope with Saturday numbers…..the salad bar is a very important part of the delivery. It must be kept fresh and stocked. As for the corn fritter……..it’s corn …….leave it be! I’m afraid we will be thinking twice about returning here now.

I came to complete some work on site yesterday... The wheatsheaf is a great looking venue and all the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. "Bekks and Bekki" (sorry ladies not sure of the spellings 🤣) the 2 managers both called Becky.. 2 exceptional members of staff... Both these ladies were fantastic with the customers, professional but with outgoing personalities and best of all a little fun "which I think only enhances the customer experience !! I never ate here as I was at work but the food coming from the kitchen looked lovely and the kitchen staff were doing a Stella job preparing all the meals !! ... Great job ladies... Thanks for looking after me during my visit 😎👍

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Came to take order quickly. However food took forever to arrive and when it did the burgers were massively over cooked to the point where it was like eating charcoal. We raised this with staff who apologised. We explained we didnt have enough time to re order nee ones so we ate what we could of the burger. The staff had kindly taken the burgers off the bill as a result. Would visit again but probably order something else.

Really busy with student drop off week. Emma worked tirelessly and got everything right. Food was nice and atmosphere really pleasant.

You can't walk to this place because of the location where it is situated. That's why they partner with Euro Car Parks to generate the profit. The staff will not remind you that you have to register your car. If you don't do that, one drink will cost you £100. Better to chose a place with free parking for customers without any traps.

We had a table for 8 tonight , we waited nearly an hour for our dinner . The food was very mediocre for the price and wait , the service definitely lacked a smile from all but one of the waiting staff . The salad bar was virtually empty . I was ignored but a senior member of staff after I tried to get her attention after she’d rebuked her waiting staff at the pass ( too busy getting her ice and soft drink ) Wish we’d gone elsewhere , now we remember why we stopped coming here

Chloe was really nice and service was great.

Sat down at 7pm Friday evening, ordered drinks ok, looking through menu, on trying to order told NO sirloin steak and then on reselecting, told NO rotisserie chicken available….. very disappointing.

Staff very friendly and helpful (especially regarding allergies). Food was delicious but steak slightly over cooked...happy to recommend.

Great and quick service with a smile from everyone working, even sung too by the chef, becks our waitress was especially good. Highly recommend for breakfast as that’s when we normally go once the kids are dropped at school.

Visited with my 80 year old father earlier this month. (Sept. 2024) We arrived early (11:30am), but walked in was shown to a nice table very promptly. We weren't there very long. We enjoyed lunch and a drink together, for just over an hour. My dad likes to make it his 'treat' when we go out. ..I've been going to Harvester's for decades now. When my children were younger, they loved, and still do, the 'Rocky Horror' sundae... I have grandchildren now who like it too these days! This morning, I received a £100 car park fine in the post for the day of our visit. Now everyone makes mistakes, so I called the restaurant to inform them of the problem. I spoke to deputy manager Michelle, and explained my dilemma. She said to email the fine and receipt from the day.....This is where the problem starts. My father, as I said, is 80 years old. He just doesn't DO 'cashless'. He draws out a certain amount per week and just uses cash..I called him to ask if he had saved the receipt..He hadn't. It was when I informed Michelle of this fact, that she went into an (obviously well rehearsed) monologue, of how we walked past 19 signs warning us, and that the greeter "should" have told us as we entered...They didn't. I asked if they had cctv and she said they did, but in the 13 days it took for the fine to arrived, it had would have been conveniently overwritten. I was in mid reply when she hung up on me! I'm a businessman. Times are hard at the moment. Particularly for the hospitality sector.I can accept when I make a 'mistake', but her audacity in hanging up on me left me stunned. I, and my extended family will never, sadly, visit this establishment again. You have been warned!

Becks was really friendly and attentive. I was staying away for work and having such a friendly place to go made everything so much nicer. Will deffo be going back, highly recommend

Stopped for breakfast while getting some work done. Great food and great service. Was offered a lovely quiet table next to a socket to plug my laptop in. The full breakfast was delicious and cooked perfectly, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again ☺️

Excellent food choice : decided on the SUPERB rotisseried chicken for an evening visit : great service, and - as ever here - a tremendously hard-working, talented team doing all the first-rate cooking. Really good choice of salads and dressings - I like particularly the mixed bean salad; a nice addition. I come pretty regularly for breakfast or lunch too, and am NEVER disappointed here.

Friendly service from Laura and Trinity, Bekki was very nice and efficient in seating us. Food came quickly and was hot.

Lots of parking. Add your registration to the pad at the entrance desk. Had the ultimate combo and a ribeye steak. All cooked to perfection. Unlimited salad is always good.

We were booked to eat at the hotel next door, as the hotel refused to serve us as they had a group of 10 people we came to the harvester. Caitlin served us, she was amazing. Do not stay at The Link hotel next door

Oh wow!! Food was delicious! possibility the best harvester I’ve ever had. ( usually I avoid them ) but this was an absolutely banging dinner! ! Lovely staff and service even though it was busy… well done chef !

Quick decision to stop by for breakfast much regretted. Ordered a classic breakfast and a sausage bun. We arrived at 11.15 and our meal finally arrived at 12.10. The eggs were slimey even though I requested well done and fair enough these were replaced. The sausages on both were awful so burnt and dry that we couldn't eat them. Also everything luke warm. The only good thing were the friendly staff and they did refund the sausage bun but would rather have been able to eat it. . Definitely would not recommend.

The staff always seem not to give out the menu with the weekly deals on. The food was cooked well but we were never asked if everything was ok until we had pretty much finished.

Had a lovely in-the-week dinner with friends. Our waitress Becks was super helpful and friendly. The front desk team were also super helpful in sorting out a table for us at the last minute.

second visit here after excellent service last time. Its a Harvester; expect delays between courses when busy but also expect a regularly refreshed salad bar, pleasant table setups, friendly service and family food, cooked well. Our two kids, 8 and 5 expected a kids pack but unfortunately they had run out; eating is a pleasure for them so they enjoy visiting the salad bar, ice creams, steak (!) and various options available. One has a nut allergy and this dealt with excellently with good software and a clear wish to do the right thing as far as the staff is concerned. Becky was 1st class. Shame about the kids pack though, especially as its summer holiday time.

Great for kids and particularly anyone with allergies. Good service from Beck's but expect slower service during busier times. Salad bar is well turned over and kids portions are good.

Pretty standard harvester. Good service - efficient. Good was quick and enjoyable. Toilets were clean. A lot of staff milling about.

Food was lovely, daughter enjoyed the salad bar as always. But the best thing about our visit was Ricky our server. He was a delightful gentleman.

We have dined here on and off for twenty years. The menu is simple but the food is tasty. You don't get as much for your money anymore but that's the same in other places. It's still a nice place to take the family especially if you have elderly or young people as it's all one floor. Plenty of space between tables and it's good food. Make sure you put your car reg in and you go in to be seated.

Exceptional service all the way through, food was absolutely fantastic and the waitress who served us went way above and catered to our needs.
