Wonderful place by the river. Good service and selection of cocktails.

Lovely welcoming vibe. The venue is absolutely beautiful, the drinks were delicious and the service was top notch, and given I managed a cocktail bar, I like to think I know a little bit about these things! Jack was a true gentleman and very professional. Thanks for the brilliant service. Will definitely be coming back!

A riverside cocktail bar in Bristol city centre. Interesting cocktail menu. I had the Night Shift (recommended for fans of espresso martinis). My friend had a Lady Penelope. There are both indoor and outdoor tables, but we sat outdoors as it was early evening and not too cold.

Nice cocktail bar, good options. It was very quiet for a Saturday evening, I was the only one there. Statt were friendly and welcoming, I had a whisky sour which was very tasty and high recommended. The bar itself is nice and comfy to sit in, and it's got nice views of the river.

Had the best time at The Wellhead! Booked in for a 2 person cocktail masterclass. Both Bartenders (Kay & Brynn) were absolutely fantastic, so knowledgeable about the cocktails and mixology but also allowed us to try different cocktails we have never even heard of before. Could not recommend this place enough. Awesome atmosphere, first class service and company. Thanks both for having us!

What a lovely hidden gem. We came here for a cosy night of cocktails and a catch up and it was perfect. The bartender, Bryn was just amazing and made us cocktails that weren't on the menu when we asked. A friendly atmosphere and a find. We will definitely be coming again. Thank you!

Unfortunately, the staff were very depressed and rude, we were celebrating a birthday and they didn’t even smile once, I hate to sound horrible, but it had so much potential and they didn’t provide good customer service

Hosted my birthday party here. Lovely party. Really pretty little bar, great cocktails and staff really helpful. Perfect size for a small to medium party and such a lovely spot on the river.

We held our wedding reception here on a Tuesday. It was absolutely impeccable. The staff was extremely professional, friendly and helpful. The drinks were great. Not a single critique to make. Thank you for helping our big day the best day

Fabulous hidden gem of a bar to enjoy cocktails by the river. Peaceful, relaxing, good service. Some cocktails were better than others but overall a really nice place to relax before checking into our hotel nearby.

Fantastic cocktails! Hands down the best espresso martini we've had. Often they are too sweet, and this had the bitterness of coffee you would expect. Also tried the 'Honey I shrunk my Cucumber' a very refreshing drop. Hats off to Brin, an ace mixologist!

Extremely tasty cocktail and lovely to be so close to the river. We both had the Last Nord. The description of the cocktail may be confusing, but makes so much sense on the first sip! Highly recommend. Delicious.

Good place for cocktails, though not cheap. Nice ambiance, clean and well presented bar with waited service.

Was sadly disappointed, next door was packed. We ordered drinks, and bread and olives. No bread on a Saturday afternoon.

Came here on Saturday 9th July for a cocktail masterclass with my bride tribe and it was simply the best! Tom & the gang were so fun and bubbly, knowledgeable and flexible with mocktail options for mother in law and pregnant sister in law to be! We had planned a whole bar crawl but the atmosphere here was just so enjoyable we stayed for hours and then went straight to our final destination! Thank you so much for a smashing night! If I'm ever back in Bristol you can bet I'll be visiting The Wellhead! X x

Stumbled across this lovely little cocktail and wine bar on Friday. Great service from Jacob. He was very knowledgeable about the drinks and very friendly. Wonderful setting, sat outside looking over the water. Thanks Jacob!

When we walked in tonight we were greeted by a rude man on the bar who made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Went outside with our menus to wait for table service but noone came. The bar was quiet and lifeless and we didn't end up staying for a drink, although the cocktails sounded nice. Went next door to a fun and lovely bar called Left Handed Giant with a great selection of beers and polite and warm staff - probably why it has an atmosphere and The Wellhead has none.

Jacob = fantastic, both other bar staff are great. We'll worth a visit. Jacob will do you a good mai Thai. Was training a new member of staff so now I know his secrets

Lovely bar (small, unique, right on waters edge. Small amount of inside and outside seating). Small cocktail menu but the drinks were excellent. Would have been 5 stars but the service was indifferent.

Found this little hidden gem this afternoon on a walk through the town, and not only were the cocktails top class, but the service was outstanding. The Manager Lady was very welcoming and informative regarding our cocktails of choice. Will be sure to visit again 😊

I just hired this venue for a birthday party, and the drinks were fantastic and the staff were friendly, it had a great vibe and they made the admin side really easy - would thoroughly recommend!

Bought a bottomless brunch voucher for my Mum for Mothers Day today to try this place on a whim and what a beautiful little hidden gem, all made perfect with fantastic service from Jacob who made the afternoon stunning. He was so friendly and accommodating (I was the designated driver so he was happy to make me mocktails a plenty instead!) what a great mezze board with blackberry’s (stealing this idea for my next cheese board). Thank you Jacob - fantastic & friendly service & very good mocktails (recommend the Cinderella!)

Very friendly and professional barman, first time tasted Wiper & True Sundance IPA, really nice beer. Just popped in for a quick drink but ended up having three! Made to feel very welcome and will go again. Highly recommended if visiting Bristol.

Had an amazing Amaretto sour yesterday made by a lovely lady that works there. Very friendly and welcoming. The location and atmosphere were great overlooking the water. Highly recommend having a drink there.

We hired the Wellhead for a work party and it was the ideal spot. Beautiful river views, amazing service, yummy food and delicious cocktails. Would highly recommend. We will be coming back for more!

Woman behind the bar was extremely rude and laughed at us when we said we didn't have a booking, even though the place was half empty. We got a table and I asked her about a voucher I had seen online for a sharing board. She said those vouchers are only valid if you've pre-booked a table. That didn't make any sense to us and she was extremely unwelcoming and unfriendly. We just left. Won't be back there again.

A great, classy little bar on the Waterside! On a weekend in Bristol finished off both evenings here for delicious well made cocktails and wonderful locally brewed beer! Relaxing atmosphere, great chilled out music and friendly professional staff! Looking forward to coming back ☺️!

We visited the Wellhead today and was surprised at how lovely it was! The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. We started on wine and enjoyed that so moved onto cocktails, We are so glad we did! The cocktails were incredible! The smoked old fashioned was filled with smoke and drama! The strawberry fizz was the tastiest cocktail ever and the bramble was a beautiful gin cocktail that was gorgeous! I would recommend this to anyone it really is Bristol’s best kept secret!!!!!

Venue is lovely, looking over the river and heaters outside, however that's about it. It wasn't that busy and we were given table and told it was table service. There was three staff working, it look about 20 minutes for the waiter to take our order. We ordered two cocktails. 15 minutes had been and gone and everyone around us seemed to be cater for, some people were coming outside with drinks. After 20 minutes we went to bar and they said they hadn't got to our order yet, so we decided to leave. They just didn't seem busy enough for it to take that long and the bartenders didn't even apologise. Very disappointed as the venue seemed nice, but £10 per drink I expect better service.

Cute little place, nice staff and tasty cocktails at an ok price. Make sure you ask what the garnishes taste of - my amaretto cherry gave my Mai Tai an unexpected almond kick!!

Lovely location tucked away by the river, best to call to book as they don’t check the website bookings. Cocktails very tasty and interesting selection, service not very fast but definitely friendly and welcoming. Weird amaretto taste on the mai tai from the cherry on the top, but they left it off the second one for me. Interesting spot, we’re glad we found it.

Really nice and friendly place. Veggie sandwich had lovely bread , reasonably priced and good coffee. In a good position as well.

Really nice views of the water from their outside seating space. The cocktails are very good as well 😉
