Great food cooked to perfection and order was perfect too… it’s a family atmosphere pub.. bar staff and service was brilliant

Friendly, arrived on St Patick day, loud but still, lovely, food to die for, with out having to do the washing up, This is 2nd time here will defo come again.

The service was quick and very good, the meal was great, and plenty of food on your plate. Would highly recommend, very friendly atmosphere.

Nice clean empty car park, good access for disabled people too I noticed. Great first impression. The inside was clean but looked rather dated though. The caddy with menus/cutlery/napkins/sauces was clean. We were asked if we wanted any more sauces with our meal when the waitress noticed the tomato sauce was pretty much empty. Probably a good idea for staff to check the caddy has enough salt/pepper/sauces etc in before service starts. When we arrived there was a lady and a gentleman on duty. After the lady finished doing whatever she was doing behind the bar she took our drinks order, tab then set up, food order placed easily (with the cook) too. We didn’t expect very good food for the price but were presently surprised. Nice fresh peas, cooked perfectly. Excellent Hunter’s Chicken, perfect crispy bacon, tasty sauce, ideal amount of cheese, and a tasty moist chicken breast as well. Pity there was only 2 small onion rings, they tasted lovely. Be warned, if you like eating a regular amount you may find the tiny chicken breasts disappointing (see photo), it looked like 1 medium chicken breast had been cut in half, ideal for a child or senior sized portion though. The 9 pieces of Scampi were good, nice chips (mostly, a few black bits and shards). We had a check back in perfect time, discovered it was from the cook, very helpful cheerful chap. Wine was a bit expensive, but the food was reasonably priced for the nice taste. Portion sizes about 60% the size of the nearest pub offering the same, probably why they were packed and this place was empty. Bit annoying having to keep waving our arms around to keep a fly off our food (in February). Overall a good experience though. Clean ladies toilets, and not a million miles away either. Definitely missing a trick not having a special Valentines menu, probably no special menus for Mother’s Day, Christmas etc too, pity. Strange the seniors and children’s menu’s are so very limited. I would have expected most on the main menu to be available, just smaller portions, easily achieved. We both agreed we’d be happy to return for a lunch, nice it was very quiet, we were the only customers there for a Monday lunch. I have never been to a pub so empty during the week.

Was really worried about eating here as not much that was of vegan, except some spicy which I cannot eat. BUT the girl behind the bar went and spoke to the chef, who managed to sort out a salad, which was great.

The food is amazing and the staff are ever so friendly and helpful ! We had cheesy topped nachos , topped chips, chili cheese poppers and Louisiana chicken strips ! It was so tasty and great value for money. Thankyou to Hannah and the team for making our experience amazing 🤩

Friendly environment and staff. Good service. Good selection of food on menu and served hot. Do sometimes not have items om menu, but offer alternatives. Go regularly with husband and friends and always enjoy the visit. Always made to feel welcome. Will continue to go for drinks and food.

100% will be going back , my friend recommended it to me and I wasn't disappointed ! Dirty cutlery Felt as though not welcome as not a regular. Food is obviously too much effort as little effort using the microwave properly. Knife was filthy but why bother? The photos say it all.

We were greeted by Hannah, who we later found out was the manager, she informed us of the COVID-19 procedures they have in place and sat us down. She and her staff were brilliant from serving, waiting and cleaning. Definitely an environment to return to.

Sad to say we went to the Welcome Inn on Xmas day with all the family and it was the worst meal any of us had ever had, it was dried up and tasteless, obviously been chucked into a microwave, it cost us each 38 quid for disgusting slosh, Very disappointing and will NEVER go back

We visited as a party of 13 on Christmas day and were left very disappointed. We were served a disgusting meal. There was no stuffing, we had to ask for pigs in blankets which were not cooked properly, the food had clearly been microwaved as the Yorkshire puddings were chewy, the parsnip was raw and the seasonal vegetables that were advertise on your website actually consisted of some peas and carrots that were still cold and rock hard. Some of the party had cauliflower qnd sprouts and others didnt and most of us only had some gravy on the meat but nowhere else. We spent a lot of money on the meal for what was supposed to be a really lovely family christmas day and were all left hungry and disappointed as the food was quite frankly inedible. We will not be dining with you again and will be advising family and friends not to either.

Decidí probar un lugar diferente para comer y decidí ir a la posada de bienvenida con mi familia. Mi esposa y mis gemelos. Bienvenido posada sí, fue una bienvenida. El pitufo detrás del bar (Gina) nos hizo sentir bienvenidos y con una sonrisa. Ok este es un gran comienzo Así que ae tomó nuestra bebida y comprobó el menú. Buena elección. La comida tardó 20 minutos en salir y no me decepcionó. La comida estaba bien presentada y sobre todo la comida estaba caliente. Así que alrededor de la mesa fuimos a puntuar la comida de diez. Fue un Mark completo de todos nosotros. Bien hecho a todos y un gran bien bien hecho al jefe volverá.

Been a local for years, went in today, barmaid lovely when off phone, beer nice, walked into rear garden, as opened door about 100 cigarette ends on floor. Walked around to smoking area and don’t look like tables have been cleaned fo a month. Such a shame was always looked after. Young couple got it and no pride in their business

Really disappointed that the Wednesday quiz night has been cancelled ☹️ it’s a sham we would all come down a few Wednesdays a month for a meal and drinks, the place just doesn’t have the same vibe as it did before the refurb! They always seem to run out of certain drinks too... it’s bizarre. The food is hit or miss you get what you pay for!

Went down for a family memebers birthday meal. Memebers of staff very friendly and catered to all our needs. Food is suitable for adults and kids at reasonable price!

Sunday afternoon family visit for lunch, most food sold out including burgers and no peas. Steak was funny colour and cold. Fish was frozen and mushy peas tasted awful. Drink was good and so were staff. Nice size beer garden.
