Good Value for money excellent service, all the food is cooked beautifully and it tastes beautiful, nice friendly staff and manger. I highly recommended this place. And It's better than Poppins and the Brunch & Barista.

I ordered food to celebrate my son getting married, from the first moment of ordering they put my mind to rest so I wouldn't worry about the food. When the food was delivered it really was outstanding. The quality of food was beyond what I had imagined and the quantity well what can I say, we’ll all be enjoying left overs. Thank you again for everything. I will be recommending to all my friends. And anyone who wants to order food trust me you wont be disappointed.

Asked for a strong coffee and received something that was watery & week. Cheese on toast with beans turned out to be lightly cooked toast with beans and uncooked grated cheese, I was expecting grilled cheese (maybe my expectations are high?). At almost eight pounds I think this was expensive. I left the coffee as it was undrinkable.

First off: amazing food. Large portions is a plus but size is not the main attraction. We all had the full english and thoroughly enjoyed it. Coffee was alao excellent. The owner, we figured, was nice and super welcoming. No trouble seating the 7 of us on a thirsday morning. We will come back for sure.

Ordered their most expensive item, a full English breakfast, and they didn’t include the 3 x sausages, only the most IMPORTANT part of it. When contacted they offered a fee breakfast but insisted it was re-ordered through JustEat, knowing full well you cannot order a free breakfast via the site. When I explained this, they suddenly had no way of delivering it. New business and already terrible.

Nice persian restaurant in the city centre. The owner and the staff greeted us very warmly and the persian Kebabs and food were delicious. They also offered us persian tea on the house.

We stopped for lunch while out & about in town. This is located just below Bar. It has plenty of seating, it’s light & bright & clean looking. Food was good, I had a burger & chips, my partner had a vegetarian, which there wasn’t much for her offered on the menu. Service was also good though it wasn’t that busy.

Excellent service. Always greeted with a friendly face :) best place to get breakfast, can't wait to try other bits on the menu.

I have requested chese and mushroom Omelet and was given ham and chese which I don't eat pork and when the second Omelet came out the mushrooms were raw. Although the waitress was very sorry and its not acceptable for the chef not to read the correct order and serve pork to someone who does no eat this. We won't be returning again

Good place to eat and good food

I been coming to Sidewalk for two years and I'm embarrassed to say I never thought to leave a review! I only ever come for coffee - but all of the food I see coming out looks and smells lovely. I also see a lot of cleared plates! The one thing I have eaten here (a few times) is the lemon honey cake. I have this when I am feeling in need of a treat. If you have never had it, give it a try... The honey cake is served in triangles and consists of several very fine layers of sponge sandwiched together with a kind of frosting. The cake is dusted with what tastes like caramel biscuit crumbs. When you put your fork in the cake, you see it is dense - but somehow also light. It is sweet in a way that warms the soul. It is not overly sugary - spicy almost. A perfect accompaniment to the delicious coffee!! So, the coffee. I am hard pressed to find another coffee in Southampton which fulfils my needs. I am a MASSIVE lover of coffee. I have mentioned this in a previous review for another coffee shop (which I also love but for different reasons). I drink my coffee black and without any faff. The coffee here is incredible - and very reasonably priced. If you like your coffee dark, aromatic and full-bodied, you won't be disappointed. It has almost a burnt caramel undertone which I think puts it in a different league. The final thing I want to say is the most important (maybe I should have done this round the other way). The place is impeccably clean, tidy and well-run. The people are friendly and courteous, and I always have a little chat when I am ordering my coffee. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is very kind. This is one of my favourite places to come and work, read a book or just stare into space and people-watch. So I wanted to say thank you to everyone at Sidewalk

The boss is super nice and enthusiastic. He can also speak Chinese. The burgers and fries in the store are super delicious.

This place is NOT HALAL neither certified, they also serve alcohol and pork. Response to owners response: No idea where discrimination came from, no disagreement about choice either. The review is not actually for you however there is some benefit you can take from it but you don't seem to see this. If you declare halal food, you can certify yourself halal for confidence however if you don't provide certification and just simply say it is, then whether or not ones food could be permissible as halal can be judged by the risk of contamination, of which is highly probable given that pork and alcohol is in close proximity, that is all, and that is what a person following a halal diet would appreciate knowing.

Just popped in for an allday breakfast, glad I did ,very clean ,excellent service ,breakfast was cooked beautifully. Had a nice bottle of peroni with it,made my day. Plenty of options for vegetarians etc Will go again next time I'm in town.

People make the difference. I found this quiet cafe in Southampton. Beautiful, soothing music playing in the background, a generous breakfast, and a warm and welcoming proprietor whose main purpose is keeping customers happy. The coffee is excellent.

Lovely quiet place to eat. Really nice food which exceeded my expectations, I had the breakfast wrap which was larger than i expected (a definite positive). They have halal breakfast options, the beef sausages were really nice. The food comes pretty quickly, the service is great, would highly recommend

The portions are huge, atmosphere ok and the service prompt, but the food was a bit dodgy, the meat had a weird smell and cheap taste. The tables and menus were also a bit sticky.

Me and my partner go here quite often the food is always amazing without fail and the people who run the place are always polite and friendly I would recommend this place to anyone.

I came here to have some authentic food for lunch to celebrate Nowruz which is Iranian New Year. The staff are friendly and the food is so fresh and delicious! Some might say its a little expensive but my answer to that would be to remember the cost of everything has gone up in recent times. Also you get what you pay for and the food here is worth every penny! i'll definately be back here soon.

We popped in Saturday morning, parked right outside. A bit tricky getting in with my wheelchair, lucky my wife was pushing. We had two breakfasts and a coffee and tea, all looked and tasted great. Good service was given.

Will highly recommend to eat here, staff here are very friendly and the food is insanely delicious. This will definitely be my go to spot for lunch or dinner.

First time i have been here, and what can i say? The food was amazing. i had the mixed kebab. My daughter had the monster breakfast. I thought the price of the foos wasn't bad at all. Friendly staff making you feel welcome. I will definitely be coming back again.

We have visited Southampton many times. We discovered Sidewalk last February. This trip, we are having breakfast here every day. Most probably the best place for breakfast in Southampton. No frills and pomp. Just fresh, wholesome food with an excellent experience all round. Thank you

Really bad, food, service, atmosphere and the piece de la resistance, they have menus, where has pizzas', among everything else, but when you order pizza, the answer is, sorry we don't di pizzas, I asked why, the reply was, they don't have pizza oven !! Why, I asked, don't you take the pizza option off the menus, no decent or credible answer to that ! Really disappointed, I never have being mad of the place, if everything else in town was busy, we then used to go there as last resort, but not anymore now, that's for sure ! Servers very miserable, never smile, behind the black ( even the mask, yeah ! ) face mask, food really gone worse than before, so I definitely won't be wasting my time and money anymore in that place !

I Can´t believe that This is ENGLISH breakfast coffee shop NOT persian restuarant ,you can´t do both together , persian restuarant open til 10 or 11 pm not 5 pm?!!!!!!!

Amazing little cafe with something for everyone. Great quality of food that is the right sized portion for what you order from a light snack to main meal, the drinks were lovely aswell .All prices seemed very reasonable. Overall felt very clean . A real gem, im so glad we found it.

It was my first time to visit for lunch. It was rather nice. Nice offers but kebab section is quite pricey. I’d be honest I didn’t try so I can’t comment whether the price matches the quality and value or not but what I tried was delicious and nicely valued. Staff seems friendly and welcoming. Place is amazingly clean and I witnessed a staff cleaning a table thoroughly. They deserve 5 stars for this all effort. Situated at heart of the city and easily accessible. Recommended.

Was a lovely meal until youths joined playing there own music loud and eating food not brought on the premises. Not 1 staff member came out to move him on. Extremely off putting and rude. Will not be returning

Very tasty Persian food you can try in Southampton. You can enjoy of lovely cafe area or also take away Very friendly staff and will definitely go and enjoy the tasty foods again.

Looking rather unassuming and not displaying a menu on the outside, we were pleasingly surprised about the big selection of food and modern and warm decor on the inside. English breakfast, sandwiches, baguettes, jacket potatoes, paninis to name just a few. The paninis we chose were tasty and came with a little fresh salad dressing. The coffee was very strong and what we needed on this cool day. The service was very friendly and quick. Would we come again? Of course!

My colleagues and I were on a business trip to Southampton, chose to have lunch in Sidewalk cafe, it turned out to be a such an amazing experience. from the owner being super welcoming and accommodating and the chef personally bring the food out to us. Ingredients and vegetables so so fresh , that almost felt like , been hand pick from home garden!! Highly recommend their Greek Salad ! Overall, huge thanks to this brilliant team and high quality ingredients Keep the good work up, next trip to Southampton we will be back to Sidewalk Cafe
