Thank you to you and your team for making last night very special. The Snug was decorated beautifully and really created the celebratory feel that I was hoping for. All the food was excellent and in particular, those that had the Venison Wellington could not say enough about how wonderful their meal was. Service was also excellent. Especially Daisy, who was outstanding in looking after us and making sure we had everything we needed from start to finish with a perfect blend of friendliness and efficiency. Please thank everyone for making it a fantastic night for us, but especially my wife on her birthday.

What an amazing restaurant! We had the Sunday lunch (beef and pork) and they were both sensational. The beef was almost certainly sous vide and it was cooked to perfection. The accompanying elements were all well cooked. The three course meal at £32 felt good value and the desserts were very tasty.

Lovely staff. Great food and choice of drinks. Loved the lodge but found it difficult to get the air con to blow out warm air. It kept cutting out. Also for some strange reason only one towel was left (went to reception and got another one) but in the morning we noticed we only had one cup and one glass so had to take it in turns to have morning cuppa. Also noted could not get BBC1 on TV. Why? It would also be helpful to have done ground level lights in the star from back of pub to start of lodges as nearly tripped on a grass verge in the darkness. Breakfast was great but the continental items, cereals and fruit juices were not laid out anywhere which is a personal preference to help ourselves to those items and just order the hot food. All in all we had a great stay and will return in the future

Would recommend the dirty posh chips and the haddock scotch egg as two menu items that stood out. We'll definitely be back! An extra bonus was the blue light card discount.

Not the birthday dinner we expected, not a great start to the evening, turned up and the initial greeting just felt awkward, stood at the bar whilst about 5 members of staff walked by but not doing anything, eventually asked about our booking, sent to our table with no menus as they had run out, then had one menu given to us to share. We then had a long wait before anyone came along again, only to find out that they had given us an out of date menu. Starters turned up and one dish was completely wrong, back again with correct dishes but the onion bhaji was over cooked and burnt. The whole service just seemed lacking enthusiasm, to the point where it felt uncomfortable. Main dishes arrived, the ox cheek order did not come with the crispy onions like I saw on the menu and everyone else's plate. My wife's venison was very fatty and not a good cut at all, yes the food had flavour but was let down by the small details. We ordered dessert, normally my favourite part of the meal but not this time, the trio of desserts was a let down, a very untidy looking creme brulee and the blandest of chocolate torte I've ever tasted. Overall we were both very disappointed, decided not to complain on the evening as I didn't want to make a scene in front of my wife, paid the extortionate bill for a very poor dinner and left unimpressed.

We had to move our initial stay date due to having a poorly child this was moved with our any quibble! When we arrived for our stay we were informed that the hot tub bubbles weren't working but it was still warm. We were disappointed by this but were compensated for the disappointment! And just sitting in the warm water being in the chilly outside was lovely. We'd come to stay for a very mini moon after getting married and the little touches didn't go unnoticed we were made to feel very spoilt! Whilst we thought some of the food seemed a little posh in choice for us. It was all thoroughly tasty and the breakfast the next morning was delicious and a filling amount! Staff and management were very friendly and accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you 😊

Firstly, a restaurant that permits a large dog to be fed from the table with bones that it then crunched and spread over the floor, and washing its hindquarters, is not what we expect in a supposedly gourmet restaurant. Secondly, the food has declined markedly in choice and quality compared to our visits in the past. Thirdly, service was poor, requiring asking twice for several items. Fourthly, it is extremely overpriced compared to other local restaurants offering much better service and food quality. Fifthly, the background music was very poor. it was just a faint drumming noise. Lastly, even the Rose on the table was faded and drooping. All we got when it was pointed out was "Yea, we were going to replace them". Will not be visiting again.

The staff were friendly and worked tirelessly to make up feel special. (not sure about the chewing gum whist serving) We had a selection of starters which were all well presented and tasty. One comment the ham Hock terrine was very nice but a large portion and one small toasted only would have been better with smaller ham two toasted and small salad. Mains again all delicious and tasty could not fault them. This was the same with the desert. Will return nice food and atmosphere nor too expensive.

We are regular visitors of Chestnut Group pubs and have visited the WW on a few occasions for drinks and the BBQ they held on the beer & cider festival. Sadly this place is massively let down by the service and quality in the restaurant. Sat at our table and spent 20 minutes waiting to just order a drink. 10 minutes later no drinks, but same waitress came to take food order. We ordered and she said she would sort the drinks, another 10 minutes and these appeared. (My pint of larger looking like an ice cream with the amount of head on it) We ordered some Focaccia for whilst waiting for the food to arrive - after another long wait, 2 slices of cold, stale, sourdough appeared. This was sent back and I explained that we ordered Focaccia, all that was said was “I’m really sorry” and took it away. Kept things simple and had the burger - average at best. Make better at home sadly, so was a wasted trip. Going by the reactions and complaints from the surrounding tables, we are very glad we didn’t order any of the other dishes, especially the steak, which the table next to us had and looked like a rubber pork chop than a actual piece of beef. (I hope the ladies jaw is ok) Bill time came - and the Focaccia was on there still despite sending it back and was itemised as sourdough, despite them not having sourdough on the menu. Perhaps needs updating? I raised this and it was removed. (Another long wait, yay) Such a shame as a beautiful setting and good drinks, let down by average cooking and poor service. Only silver lining was our voucher from the Loyalty scheme softening the blow somewhat. However, gutted at the same time it couldn’t have gone towards something special. Will stick to the other restaurants from the group who consistently deliver.

We stayed in a pod with a hot tub. Lovely clean room and the hot tub was amazing. One thing i would say is that keeping the firelighters in a wicker box in the room makes the whole room smell of petrol which was awful maybe a metal sealed box outside would be better. Food in the restaurant was ok, breakfast ok but to be told they didnt have any beans was a bit bad surely a quick trip to the shop to get some would not have been too much trouble ?

Id heard so much and so wanted to go here so perhaps my expectations were very very high. Our meal was good but some of it had an extra touch that was a step too far, and then just pushed it over the edge into too fussy. Portions were really good and not like some gastro pubs, but we really didnt need sides and when we asked it was well yes you can ...... But, main problems the service was beyond slow apart from the gap between starter and main which was too quick!! so having had to ask 3 time for drinks and sat for ages with empty glasses, you then felt your food was rushed out ..... PLUS, dont they make their money on drinks ..... so it makes sense for them to be on top of that, as it pleases the customers and you make more money. And my dessert, had the chocolate delice, took one bite and literally it was like a sale mouth wash .... told them and they took it off the bill and, 5 mins later, the manager came and said thank you and how they had tried some in the kitchen and just thrown 2 trays of it away!!! so im guessing someone picked up sugar not salt.... Hats off to them for coming and telling us BUT, in a party of 6 , 2 of us had just ordered Espresso martinis (needed mine to take away the taste of salt) and i would have expected those to be comped.... so well done on telling us what had happened but there should have been more of an apology than just ' we wont charge you' as that to me was a given. Afraid i wont get hubby back there again; no point paying £60 round trip for a cab so we can both have a few drinks and enjoy the evening and then him struggling to get a pint served during his meal......

Stayed here for one night. The room and meal came to £530 which is a considerable amount of money. That did include a bottle of prosecco. Room - Overall was nice carpet was dirty/ruined and sofa was a bit but they allow dogs so guess it's expected. Hot tub the jets and lights did not work and was impossible to keep the water warm they didn't supply any logs either. The air con was noisy as well was quite difficult to sleep. Bar - Staff are friendly and good selection of drinks. Food - This is where the disappointment begins. The "charcuterie board" which was some meat slapped out of a packet and some stale bread was £20 + 10% service charge. Mind blown - see pictures. Then we ordered steaks rare and they both came medium-well and not given a steak knife. It was average food not worth the price tag. Breakfast was even worse. Coffee was good but I ordered the avo toast and it was one piece of toast smaller than the palm of my hand like a kids portion again not cheap. See picture also served on a small side plate. It's a lovely location but I wouldn't visit again. Oaksmere and The Pigs is far more worth the money if you're looking for somewhere similar.

It's a shame, it's a nice restaurant but the management just isn't there, last time I came in a asked what gins they had and one of the same guys just pointed to them and I couldn't see any of the flavorings. Just stayed here, and it’s a very nice out the way location. The lodge was just lovely, as is the restaurant, and the staff. Our room contained a magnificent double bed, TV, coffee facilities, and a bathroom with shower and bath. There’s a hot tub outside however it needs heating with wood as opposed to a conventional electric one - this means it takes about 2-3 hours to warm up so worth bearing in mind! The only negative to the room is the emergency lighting, of which there is two, emitting this quite bright green light. The full English breakfast was to die for, and we had some snacks for dinner including posh chips. These were lovely as well! Beer was well priced at about £5.50, and cocktails were all £10. The manager who guided us to our room was very nice and polite, and the guys at the bar were also lovely. Got a lodge with a lovely view of the countryside and if you’re into planes you’ll enjoy the aircraft traffic to Mildenhall and wherever else too - but it isn’t too frequent! 10/10, will be back again for the Winter!

We decided to try this place for breakfast. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty as well as plentiful. When we asked for butter and tomato sauce we were given decent portions where you were able to have a nice, thick spread across the whole two pieces of toast if you wanted to, not the usual thimble-full that you are normally allocated at other places. The restaurant space was very pleasant, lots of light coming in through the jaunty-angled windows and looking out over a lovely garden space. They could have easily crammed in more tables but instead they have left enough space to keep diners comfortable. The staff were also polite, friendly and very welcoming. We will be sure to be coming back to this place again in the near future and probably many times more. Thank you for a great experience. Cheers!

I went there on a first date yesterday. We'd already booked a table and were welcome to stay until 7 (we could stay in the bar though after that). Great view and lovely little garden where you could get some fresh air.The food was "okay". Could've been better for sure. I had fish and chips and I would give it 5/10. The dessert looked nice and was absolutely delicious. The staff were really attentive and polite and checked back with us from time to time to make sure everything was alright. However, I felt like sometimes different staff came to our table and repeated the same question their peer had just asked! ,Which was quite annoying. especially if you're there to mainly converse with someone and need some more privacy, when you keep being asked if you're done with your meal and would you like them to clear the table, that would definitely make you feel uncomfortable and there's no point doing this if we haven't asked. I would suggest making a quick eye contact with customers to make sure they're fine or how about a table call bell so that we could easily call them without being interrupted several times on a special occasion? But generally speaking, a positive experience and a lovely place.

Best Sunday lunch out in a while. Cauliflower cheese delicious 🤤 Everything was very flavoursome and portion sizes were better than previous visits.

Was very disappointed with the stay overall. The units look nice, but for the price, it was not quite what I expected to not have dressing gowns in the room was disappointing. To not have two seats in the cabin to sit on. To not have outside seating with the cabins, you could have outside storage to have maybe some fold up garden furniture so in the morning or evening to just sit outside and appreciate nature. The kettle had water left in it from previous occupant, and I am awar that others people had the same issue with their kettle, which is not good. There were two cups for tea and coffee but only one spoon. The shampoo and conditioner were very hard to use and pump out of the containers. It's not easy to the point I had to unscrew the bottle to get it out myself. Also, when walking back at night to the cabins, there was no lighting, so I could trip over the wooden planks. Why would you not have the path lit up. It's a massive H&S issue a couple of us stumbled over the wood. There was also metal railing raised where the stones are for the car park which again is a trip hazard. I also feel that the tables should have been made for breakfast the night before. That aside you do have nice furniture and nice area to sit outside the dining area when its sunny. And the resturant looks very smart and has comfortable furniture. The food is very nice geat quality if I could have given grading for the food I'd have given it 5. Your chefs are very good and what to me was the highlight of the stay. The wine choices were good as well. Staff were friendly but occasionally not as quick at service and would sometimes have to prompt or ask for drinks, taking orders having to ask for milk when the tea and coffee was on the table. Felt they could have been more reactive rather and being more aware. But everyone was friendly and courteous. It's a nice set up but think there need to be a few minor tweeks.

Lovely room , food good , staff helpful . May be nicer to have undercover walk way to restaurant in bad weather ( just a thought )! £5 for 7 chips was ridiculous , but everything else good 🥰

It was our first visit to the Weeping Willow and it won't be our last. Absolutely loved the place, friendly and not over attentive staff. Food was amazing and not been anywhere like that in a very long time. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you

This was our wedding anniversary dinner and I wanted something special. Leaving aside the fact that the menu is somewhat limited the food quality has gone so far downhill we will not be returning I'm afraid. That's a pity as the staff work really hard to make the event enjoyable but are let down by the poor food quality.

Second visit to the Weeping Willow and as perfect as last time, lodges are very well appointed, food was exceptional, the roast beef was the best we have ever had. Staff are friendly and professional.

It's a lovely environment with a buzz within the restaurant. Staff so lovely and friendly (it was very busy) This was our second time (both either friends who hadn't been before). Both couples want to visit again. We certainly will, albeit it's 1hr and half away

Disappointed. Booked the raspberry room for my sons birthday. Service was sadly lacking and as locals are now hesitant to return for food.

A passable meal, but no better - relatively pricey, but very average food. The “whole plaice” was tiny, the new potatoes hard and undercooked (the waitress’s response was simply “I’ll tell Chef”). There were four of us dining, and the other dishes were underwhelming. Desserts simple and pricey. We live 200 miles away, and picked this pub/restaurant as it was a convenient location to meet up with friends - the website suggests it is better than it actually is.

What an amazing restaurant. Greeted with politeness, and wine recommendations - beautiful setting, fabulous food, and great ambiance. Even when the waitress comes round to ask "is everything OK for you" it was done so subtly, that we didnt feel forced to stop eating to respond. Highly recommend. My only downside was that the room temperature was a little on the cold side, but it was a chilly evening.

Such a beautiful pub, shame about the food. Our last meal here a few weeks ago I received a scotch egg with large bones in the meat, and my fish and chips had bones in too. Very dissapointed.

We stopped in one of the lodges which was immaculately clean, well laid out and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast the next day, which we had included in our package was very fresh and good quality ingredients. The evening meal we had was good but a little overpriced we thought for the quality we thought. We would definitely recommend would have no hesitation stopping there again.

Warm and welcoming staff coupled with very tasty food. It was very busy and although the staff were non stop they provided a great service. We would definitely recommend.

We came here for their Thanksgiving supper club and it was fantastic! The starters were divine (Pumpkin Ham + soup); the sides were sumptuous and the whole feel ambience, off the school.

Decent little pub. Staff were very friendly. We visited the day of the Xmas lights and they was heavily understaffed for a couple of hours which meant delays for food and drink. No fault of the staff on shift but the pub should have planned ahead better knowing it will be a busy shift. Nice food and atmosphere

Coffee is very good but the place is filthy. Dirty tables, furniture should be in a skip, floor sticky. Don’t even mention the toilets.
