Always a lovely atmosphere and staff are always really polite and jolly.

Few pubs have survived the wholesale ransacking of Birkenhead but this little beauty of a pub has managed it. Whenever I crave a good pint of Guinness I make a beeline for this backstreet gem. There are very few establishments that can offer comfort, kindness and good cheer as well as a Guinness and a double Tullamore Dew for less than £8! It's the best pub in Birkenhead, friendly staff great atmosphere, quirky and you never know how it's going too pan out it can go from quite to a full blow out wedding party.

Won't be going in there in a rush again. Rather stay at home.

Reasonably priced beer & a relaxed friendly environment. They have a reasonably pleasant back yard with flowerbeds to brighten it up which in good weather makes for a comfortable open air smoking & drinking environment. They are reassuringly uptodate on observing current covid guidelines.

Walking down Grange Road my twin brother Stephen and I dropped into The Waterloo Pub,a pub I always enjoy visiting if I'm over this side of the River Mersey. The pub itself is fine,a big single roomed pub dominated by a solid wood serving bar, nice decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, a really good locals pub. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Thursday afternoon, we gave our details of name, phone number or email address to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands and ordered a beer each, we opted to have Fosters beer,these beers were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just planned out the day ahead while sipping our beers. My beer was really good, a crisp, light and hoppy lager style beer bursting taste and very easy to drink ,a beer style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and for a quick visit we had a really good time . The Waterloo Pub is easy to locate along Grange Road East. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, Midday till Midnight. Friday & Saturday, Midday till 1am. Sunday, Midday till 11pm. A great pub ,one I highly recommend you visit if you're in the area.

Decent little pub in Birkenhead town center. Loads of drink selection available, decent crowd who drink in here, no idiots. Karaoke on most weekends which is a good laugh and not taken seriously. Good old fun pub. Not many left now, lets hope this one stays open.

The Waterloo. It's a good honest old fashioned Birkenhead pub, of the sort that has almost disappeared these days. It's possible that they have mostly disappeared due to a poor selection of drinks, lack of hot food and outdoor seating, and deary surroundings, but when it's gone you'll miss it!

I only come for the cheap drinks, atmosphere is a little dull and the music they play is musac which is pretty annoying. The glasses are always dirty so I always get bottled to avoid bits in my drinks. But it's nice in the 'garden', completely covered yar with tables and chairs which is where I always go and then play my own music.

John Smith's excellent English ale at £2 and a double Jack Daniels at £3 ... Bloody marvellous for one Winston (new fiver hehe)!

Went here for karaoke night last Saturday and it was fantastic. Beer is so cheap £2.10 pint of fosters all night and great friendly staff. No food offer yet but they said it's on the way in January. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Love going to this superb little pub,staff are really welcoming. We were there midweek and got 2 lagers each and just relaxed. The beers were brillant and the atmosphere in this great well kept pub is second to none. The staff know how to pour a pint ,been here loads of times and never had an off pint. Easy to find on GRANGE ROAD this is a lovely traditional in Birkenhead and a great one to visit if your this side of the Mersey
