We came here for our spa day retreat and afternoon tea. The food was delicious and the tea was amazing too. Everyone made me and my sister very comfortable. The staff were amazing and polite and really made the experience perfect.

Had a fabulous breakfast and afternoon tea today. The chef went out of his way to cater for my gluten and dairy free needs and the food was presented beautifully and tasted great. I am so appreciative to have been catered for to so a high standard. Thank you.

Afternoon tea to celebrate my 70th birthday with my daughters and newborn grandson. Excellent food, excellent service, staff went out of their way to give us some privacy with the newborn without disturbing the other clientele.

We had an amazing time for afternoon tea for my mums birthday. The staff were all lovely, specifically our waiter Luke. The food was amazing, really well presented and delicious. The staff made special arrangements for us as I had my 1 month old with me who is breastfeeding which was very appreciated.

Amazing selection of dishes, fresh food and homemade courses cooked fresh on the premises. Waitress Annabel was lovely and looked after us at breakfast and for Afternoon Tea. She even surprised me with a birthday cake and the staff sang Happy Birthday. Will definitely go again.

I visited the Spa today with my best friend for his birthday. As part of our Spa package we had a breakfast and an afternoon tea in The Waterleaf. The menu is inclusive and has options for all dietary requirements. I opted for the brioche French toast topped with Greek yoghurt, banana and berries. It was delicious and was up to my snobby food standards. The afternoon tea was nice, a good selection of sweet treats and scones however the sandwich choices weren’t to my preference. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. In particular a lady called Annabel who was attentive and went the extra mile to make our experience special. I’m tempted to pop back another time just for the breakfast.

Chef is absolutely outstanding! Attended the gym with a friend. We are both vegan and I'm gf. He went out of his way to create a bespoke meal which was not only delicious but evidenced lots of care and attention. We had resigned ourselves to likely only being offered a salad but instead were spoilt with 5 different sandwich fillings on gf ciabatta, chunky chips, vg gf 'not-sausage' rolls AND a fruit crumble pudding! Wow. Chef could not have made us feel more welcome or less of a bother. We are so grateful. Highly highly highly recommended!!!!!

On a very, very wet evening we made the journey from the warmth of our home to The Waterleaf Restarant, and were so pleased we did. From the delicious welcome cocktail and greeting we received from everyone at Reynolds we realised we had done the right thing. We were escorted into the small restaurant overlooking a splendid view, even on a night like this, and were handed the extensive menu whilst enjoying homemade bread and whipped butter. Course after course, there were seven of them including coffee and petit fours, arrived and they were all delicious. I tasted venison for the first time and it was cooked to perfection, nothing disappointed. The Waterleaf restaurant and its chef Chris need to be better known as it is a splendid setting. I can imagine in summer with the sun setting it would be truly magical.

We ate here a couple of years ago and thought it was wonderful. We returned with a friend today and were somewhat disappointed. Last time we had a wonderful table upstairs in the main restaurant, this time we were put in the bar area which wasn't as nice. I asked if there was still an upstairs restaurant and was told there was. The food was good, well cooked and presented and at a good price. Our first 2 choices of wine were not available, we were told they were in the process of changing wine supplier which seemed a bit odd. When we booked we were given an option of 12:00 or 14:30; we chose 14:30, but this meant that when we came to order desserts we were told that these were not available as the kitchen had closed and we hadn't been given any warning of this. So all in all the experience was somewhat disappointing.

Really enjoyed the tasting night , the food was really good, London food at London prices. I feel it's not been advertised well and needed a unique selling point to be that out of they way.

I came here for a spa day recently which was lovely and returned today to eat in the Waterleaf Lounge. The sun came out for a while so we were able to eat on the beautiful terrace which has a stunning view. Lovely service and great food and drinks. There is an emphasis on super foods but combined with regular food too. I had the fish finger sandwich which is excellent and my friend had quinoa salad with aubergine and goats cheese, all just lovely. She reported that her lemon and strawberry tart was wonderful (but didn't offer me any!!). Lovely impressive place, being greeted by a Strictly Come Dancing Celeb as we arrived added to it too! You don't have to be a member to have lunch or tea here. I will be back.

My wife and I ate at the waterleaf recently and found the whole experience a strange one. Firstly the restaurant is in Reynolds country club which is a beautifully designed and decorated place. The restaurant is tucked away in the building and when we arrived on a Friday there was only one other couple already there. It didn't get much busier after that. The service whilst polite and friendly wasn't silver service, but good enough. The food however was fantastic. A small menu but with enough dishes to find something you fancy. the presentation and quality of the dishes was as good as you get in most top places in London. So in summary, if you can get past the weird fact that it's so quite you will soon become a regular and that problem will sort itself out in good time.

Exceptional food dreadfully let down by poor service. Otherwise the rating would be 5. The table was not cleared between courses. Canape dishes were still on the table when dessert was ordered Even a complaint to the manager did not result in all the empty superfluous glasses being cleared away by him. The waiter was friendly enough but clearly needed proper training and supervision. We attended on what one would expect to be a busy night and there was only one other table. I feel for the chef as the food really was equisite. Unless management adresses the poor service issue the restaurant will struggle which would be a real shame as the setting and finish of the building is lovely.

Set in a very pleasant location and costing above average we thought we would give this a try however we were very disappointed at the quality of the food that was served. However this is not the reason that led me to leaving this review.. The restaurant was very quiet (a weekday). We overheard a complaint from table near us who were served undercooked chicken. The elderly customer complained to the waitress who seemed very uncomfortable about telling the head chef. The customer persisted and a short time later the waitresses reluctance became clear. The head chef appeared and had the presence and attitude of some sort of amateurish Gordon Ramsay wannabe. He was rude and aggressive to the elderly couple and his arrogance was unparalleled. Not something you expect in a restaurant such as this. He seemed completely out of place and it spoiled the whole evening as the other employees looked visibly awkward and ashamed once the head chef retreated back into his kitchen. What seemed clear is that this mans ego seemed to overshadow anything he came in contact with and for this reason, we will never be returning and never recommend it to anyone.

As a member of the Reynolds fitness and spa in Bexley I discovered the Waterleaf Restaurant in their Sevenoaks centre. You do not have to be a member to dine! The setting is delightful, the garden view (from the lounge balcony) is spectacular and the dining room beautiful. The food menu is limited but the food was delicious, hot and lovely. The drinks being the only hiccup (I'm not used to a white wine costing £10 a glass-but that says more about me, perhaps and beers at £5). The menu is set price so no surprises! The staff seem to care and are enthusiastic. Hard to find but well worth a visit!

Having been a member of Reynolds Retreat and Country Club for a while, we had our first visit to their restaurant this evening. I have to say that everything was absolutely perfect, starting with drinks on the terrace overlooking the garden followed by the (free) canapés that were served then we were given a choice of home made rolls. The first courses were small but imaginatively served with flavour bursting out. My husband had goats' cheese which was frozen and came out smoking from the liquid nitrogen, which was impressive). The mains were larger but equally delicious. The ethos of health and wellbeing of the Club was followed but not to the detriment of the food. The restaurant staff were very friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

Newly opened at the beginning of the year this restaurant is a hidden gem in the beautiful surroundings of Reynolds Spa and Retreat. The decor is stylish with far-reaching views across wooded countryside and the food exceeded all expectations. There is an interesting emphasis on the use of 'superfoods', presumably linked in to spa ethos but this only adds to the variety of the beautifully cooked and presented dishes. Every course was a culinary and aesthetic surprise and overall the result was thoroughly positive experience.

An amazing restaurant and bar, came to visit last year for a wake for one of my best friends Jake Green it was his favourite place to go, and revisited this year in September with friends and his family to celebrate his life! The bar staff was amazing and would highly recommend to anyone!

Disappointing. Starters were ok. Steak was full of sinew and tough. Chicken ok but with heavy over-rich sauce. Pork Loin almost inedible. Service was slow, one waitress didn’t know what black pepper was! We had to remind them about our second drinks order. At the end we were charged for 2 extras at £1 each. We didn’t query it but have no idea why we were charged. We will definitely not be returning.

We booked for a family afternoon tea, for around 50 people. We had plates of sandwiches and cakes, really lovely quality bread used and fillings were really nice. The coffee and tea were served in lovely cups and saucers with lovely tiered cake stands. The service was amazing, the servers polite and attentive. We are really grateful to Natalie the catering manager for such a lovely spread, so accommodating. The table cloths were beautiful, white laundered and the Pilgrims Hall itself is really lovely. If you are thinking of a place to hold a celebration do enquire, it was really good value for money and everyone commented on the quality of the food and drinks. My thanks to Kirsty for organising and being great at staying in touch to arrange the details. Plenty of parking and lovely walks around the Priory to walk off the lovely cakes. ❤️
