The Waterhouse Bar in Scarborough

Había buscado en línea bares con música en vivo en Scarborough y luego otra vez cuando llegué allí. En esta época del año parecía haber muy pocos con música regular en vivo. El Waterhouse era un montón de 'músicos' todos los viernes y sábados. La primera banda/cantante comienza a tocar a las 10 . 00 pm. Más tarde se anima. No le vendría bien a todos. El personal del bar parecía amable y servicial.

Overpriced dump . Stay well clear.

Joined this bar to watch extra time of England V Switzerland. We used the rear bar with 3 TVs above. The staff at this bar were great. Fast service, in good spirits and also appeared to be enjoying the evening. There were multiple screens on and the football could be seen from anywhere. And after the game they kept the jubilant atmosphere going with a great choice of themed music. They do a mean mini Guinness too. Will definitely call in next time in Scarborough.

Went in here on what appeared to be a quiet bank holiday Sunday in Scarborough. Staff very friendly and appeared to serve in order. Drinks were a bit on the expensive side but then artists came on and were brilliant and had the place bouncing!! Toilets pretty clean for a busy bar. Had large screen for sports / to watch artist on. Staff members were moving chairs out of the bar if no one was sat on them, I understand as there were a lot of people dancing but shame if people did want to sit down. They were great in keeping people a little under control when required though. We're from Manchester and ended up a really good night!

Terrible door staff on New Year’s Eve after a very good musical performance by the musical artistes. I came on my own from Leeds on New Years Eve and door staff couldn’t have made me felt more unwelcome - very disappointed - will not ever visit again!

Always has music on , can be a very crowded bar on the weekend with little room to move, Drinks are average prices for town centre

The Waterhouse Bar Scarborough Spiked 921418564 Place was full of drunk idiots play fighting barging into my Girlfriend. One of I think locals begged to buy me and my Girlfriend a drink and I believe both drinks were spiked. My girlfriend won't drink jaggers so I had both I felt dizzy light headed and my hand wouldn't stop shaking. Lucky we was staying next door in a apartment so was able to get back safe and quick. By the looks of how they were it was for my GF group of white males aged around 40 to 50. Geordie male and a Canadian Male. Stay careful. Canadian guy was creepy

Great live music for all age groups packed to the rafters but great fun great service and a good time to play out bonnie xxxx

Place itself is good, but the only issue I can say is that they let to many people inside it so it's really busy, and literally have no space to move and get knocked and barged around every time anyone moves around the place, not very good atmosphere when drinks are getting spilled over you.

A great bar with a good friendly atmosphere. Friendly welcoming staff. We went in the day and on Saturday night when there was a singer, fantastic night.

Staff friendly and pub was clean . Sadly £5.50 for a pint of Guinness is ridiculous! I realise they can't compete with Wetherspoons £3.19 but Scarborough isn't London .

Seems to be good atmosphere with a life music ,but we weren't allowed in ,because my pertners shorts were "looking tramp" by bouncer David words. RL shorts for £125 wasn't good enough ,but just before us he did let people to come in wearing grey primark sweatpants and pimsoles...? PS we were 100% sober at that time and will contact management.

They have some great live music especially on a weekend. The atmosphere is friendly & quite accepting towards people of the lgbtq community. Get in early at the weekend to avoid the queues later in the evening.

Great drinks . The atmosphere was electric. Bar staff cleaning and tidying constantly. I remarked on this to the barstaff on the way out about the cleanliness...he was chuffed.

Been to a place in Walkden that’s called the same but this place is far superior. Not sure if it’s the same company but this place is excellent

Brilliant Band's with live music and entertainment, staff very helpful and courteous and a delight to see there positivity and enthusiasm at such a very very busy venue.

Very Expensive , was charged £8 for double vodka n coke , and charged £6.40 for a double vodka and coke , does not seem right , N.Y.Eve Staff with Sour Faces , Carry On Walking Past this pub , robbery

Good lively atmosphere with excellent live music, and packed on both the Friday and Saturday, free entry and open nightclub late. Young fella singing the numbers on the Sat was so good I gave him a tenner for his efforts.

Popped in late last night for a couple of drinks and the place was buzzing. The drinks were good and the decor is canny. The singer was a bit weird but has the place bouncing.

Fantastic atmosphere, great vibe. Friday had a brilliant band, great all round music, never stopped dancing. Saturday night, solo artist and then duo, giving different variation of music. Yes, definitely a great venue and hope to return in the near future.

Really nice little pub, great selection of beers, wine and spirits. Staff were friendly and down to earth. Good comfy chairs with plenty of televisions dotted around. Live music on the weekend until late. Great place to start before heading to the open air theatre.

Popped in for a quick drink on our walk back to our B&B . The Waterhouse has been done out since our last visit & is stunning . Lovely friendly barman . We are still in Scarborough so will be back for more than one drink tomorrow

Great place to go, lovely staff fab live acts n reasonably priced drinks

Went in this bar on Friday night. There was a very talented guitarist (Danny) playing ‘covers’ with a twist. The music and atmosphere was great. We got a seat , but many people were standing as the bar got more crowded. We’d go again but we’d go early so as to get a seat.

A welcome return to an old friend of a bar. Really busy on this Saturday evening, a mix of locals and holiday makers. The singer was entertaining and talented. Good range of drinks and food prices
