We've been here a few times over the years, but won't be coming back. The menu used to be good for vegetarians, but this time there was either a "cheese meltdown" pizza or a selection of sides. The others portions were a bit on the small side, but apparently tasty enough.

Had excellent meal yet again, food well cooked, well presented and plentiful & competitively priced, especially for captive market. Bar staff very pleasant, a great all round team effort for this bar / restaurant. Thank you.

Usually friendly approachable staff with amazing food however visited recently and there was a change in manager (male) and constantly stared at us!!! We noticed a change in character and attitude with the staff. They were miserable and very straight faced. We asked to speak with the Manager and he walked past us at least 6 times empty handed. When I politely asked if we could speak he replied ‘A chat? oh that’s a new one! Sit back down and I’ll be over’. Odd response in my opinion. Eventually he came over and we politely asked if we’d done something wrong as he made us feel uncomfortable as soon as we walked in. He replied ‘that’s my job.’ I questioned ‘sorry, to make customers feel uncomfortable?’ He ignored me and walked off. We tried ordering a burger to then be told they were out of buns. 5minutes later he returned to say we can now have burgers??? By this point we ordered pizzas. The pizzas were Chicago pizza!!!!!! DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! Extremely disappointed with our experience and completely shocked by the attitude from the manager.

We recently visited the Wanderer Bar & Kitchen on 2 evenings during our 4 nights stay at Seacroft and had a meal on both occasions. We couldn't have been more delighted with the service and quality of the food. The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly, the menu was varied, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We couldn't fault our experience and will certainly visit again when we are next at Seacroft.

Standards dropped and overpriced, ordered steak and ale pie but told only steak and kidney was available. The pie at best was not even upto a supermarkets own brand meat content minimal. Feel sorry for the staff having to serve such quality plates of food.

I will keep this short and not so sweet. Waited nearly two hours to be served with our food. In that time we were offers a small bowl of crisps in way of an apology. My wife ordered a chicken burger and was served with a beef burger. All her sides were cold and greasy but having been on the road all day and waiting so long she decided to try and get through it. I ordered buffalo chicken wings and cheesy chips. The wings were black and cremated. And cold. The only hot part of our meal was the chips. Probably had to heat them to melt the cheese. We were table checked by a very young nervous lad who asked the obligatory is everything ok? To which I replied no! He then turned and walked off. We left our half eaten food on the table and I spoke to a more senior member of staff about the appalling service and food we had received and all we got from him was a weak apology. No offer of any reimbursement at all. I spoke to the caravan site mgr being as it is part of the CAMH club and she advised me to speak to the pub manager but what’s the point. This place will go on treating visitors to the area in this disgusting way. And with the site busy it will always have its captive audience. It’s open to the general public too but I’m guessing locals will avoid it especially as it stops serving drinks at 10pm.

As a previous review. I hate to leave a bad review. The place itself is pretty good. Nice bar, staff are friendly. You think what's not to like. The food is nothing short of shocking. Bangers and mash. Pie and mash. Let's start with the good point. The pie was hot. Now, the bad/ shocking points. It's just a supermarket pie at best. Same with the sausages. Mash potatoes. Never in a million years. Would have been better serving boiled potatoes. And served cold. Gravy. Well, well. It's not cold but stone cold. Only noticed after we'd poured it Now I'm m the sort of person that would normally kick off it that was served to me. However, with that being so poor, I didn't want to waste my breath. I may need it one day. I did raise it politely and got a half handed apology. Maybe knock the food on the head if you can't be bothered to provide a meal that's worthy of the price. £29 for 2 meals (without drinks), it's not cheap. I will be returning to the camp . However, I won't be returning to the wanderer.

The food was poor, one meal the veg was cold and we were given a jug of cold gravy, the other meal both fried eggs were broken, you would hope a cook can cook eggs and to serve cold gravy is off the scale.staff offered other meal, which meant we ate at different times. manager just 10 feet away could not be bothered to speak to us.second meal was cheaper but no offer of the difference.

Lovely food, with a wide menu, and friendly cooked. Staff were very helpful and eating area was clean, my only criticism would be that at the time we ate there was approximately 6-7 dogs in there and were baking lots! I feel it would benefit if the other side of the restaurant was open as a potential no dog eating area, as it was loud and off putting when having a conversation, but that is my personal opinion and idea.

I thought long and hard about this review. I don’t like leaving bad reviews because people work hard to make a living. However I feel I need to. Firstly. The place, the building is very nice. The staff are very helpful and cheerful. The bar is well stocked and service was good. The food was dire. We ate here twice though god knows why after the first time. Very very ordinary and shockingly over priced. Probably the worst chicken Korma ever to pass it’s self off as a korma and the chips on my fish and chips were a mix of slightly undercooked and several that had been recooked from an earlier order and were deep brown. It wouldn’t even have been acceptable if they were free but for £15 I expect something a lot better. Very disappointed because we enjoyed several meals last year and it was very good.

Fabulous pub and kitchen on the caravan site . Very nicely decorated to a high standard. The gust ale was “Vault” exceptional beer. We had the steak and ale homemade pie it was superb . The lady who was waiting on Wes very nice and couldn’t do enough. This place would put all of the chain pubs to shame . One bar had sky sports the other was super cosy with great blues music playing . If all caravan sites had a pub like this they would be fully booked. 10 out of 10

This is the second time we have stayed in East runton and we visit the wanderer every time. It's so handy having a nice restaurant on the caravan site. It is also open to people from off site. The food is excellent and reasonable priced. The staff are very polite and can't do enough for you. There is entertainment on every Saturday night. If you are in the area, be sure to give it a try.

I have eaten here lots of times but this year is the best new Chef and the food is excellent, they have also changed the rooms around and made it a nicer place to eat and relax. Please keep up the good work.

Only doing takeaways due to Covid-19 restrictions; but the food is great and excellent value. Order by phone and you’re given a collection time. Polite, courteous and very efficient service.

Great cafe, one of the best we had been in on our 2 week holiday. Cake selection was enormous, coffee tasted great, toilets sparkling clean & friendly service. I can see why it's so popular, highly recommend!

The meals were really overpriced and disappointing, service staff were very friendly and we didn't want to complain, but a couple of the meals were pretty awful to be honest, and the rest of them barely passable for £16 odd quid each. A lentil and mushroom stew for £18 that was barely a starter size; a child's pasta for £9 that was eaten in 3 mouthfuls. All round, really delighted with kelling heath facilities, and the woodland lodge is fabulous, but the restaurant really needs an overhaul. As others have said, a captive audience shouldn't justify such overpriced poor choices

Had to stop to recharge my car so had nowhere else to go as it was pouring. Reluctantly I went to the cafe and ordered a small breakfast and coffee not expecting much. Obviously the ingredients were just supermarkets own and not what I usually buy. However the staff in the kitchen cooked it all to perfection even the toast was cooked properly and did not resemble stale bread as so many establishments serve it. The coffee was pleasant too. Well done to the kitchen staff. Shopped afterwards and the staff on the deli need training and the female looked so miserable a smile would have cracked her face. She should be trained by the lady serving in the cafe.

The food was fine, not amazing. Clearly prepared in advance and then reheated as it came out so fast. Starters arrived before our drinks! Nice setting, dog friendly and warm welcome.
