We were made very welcome in front of the fire. We have a well behaved golden doodle dog who settled down and slept while we had tea gluten free burger and chips. Medium cod and scampi combo. They gave the chips from this to my husband as he loves extra chips. It is licensed It is small and the young man who served us was very sociable

Visited here on a Sunday morning in October with my dog. Ordered a tea with a bacon and egg sandwich. Basic food, but okay. Totally let down by the miserable female staff member/owner. Wouldn't engage with me and was so stand offish, even when I was trying to pay.

We had the medium portion of fish and chips. Cooked very nicely and just the right amount for lunch. Friendly and attentive staff and dogs welcome

Family of 4, attracted in by a decent looking menu. Ordered fish and chips, Salmon and chips, sea bass and kids sausage and chips. We must have all mistakenly ordered off the kids menu as the portions were tiny. My Salmon must have been the runt of the shoal as it definately wasn’t all there! Sea bass was one small fillet with veg and a few potatoes. The chips were all scrappy. Bill was £50, still felt hungry, Place didn’t have any atmosphere and poor decor. Won’t be going back.

This is a hidden gem away from the tourist hustle and bustle of Whitby. The couple who run it are friendly and helpful and the food very good quality at excellent prices. Most place today you just about get change from £10 for 2 hot drinks but here You get a little change from £5 for a tea and a coffee, both of which are good quality. The breakfasts are a good price, good quality and generous.
