Had a great Sunday roast here on 19/11/23. The food was excellent with generous portions and the service was prompt, attentive but not intrusive. We will return!

We visited as our usual place for Sunday dinner (next door) was closed. We stood for about 15 minutes by the bar awaiting service with not so much as an acknowledgement. Before walking out We won't be back!

Nice little pub with a very country feel about it. They have a good selection of drinks and pour a decent pint of Guinness . Its not a booming place but sometimes thats what you need. They have a well laid out garden and some nice chickens that your kids will just love interacting with . Food was hot and well cook. Not bad value at all . Definitely worth a visit .

An out of the way location but a warm welcome and an eclectic atmosphere. We enjoyed a pint of Whitstable Bay Ale.

Fantastic food served up by excellent staff,we was looked after by Billy,offered is lots of advice te menu etc Sat in garden ,kids entertained by the chickens,great prawn cocktails to start, fabulous steak and Guinness pie,and wife had tender tasty ribeye steak,kids loved their grub too. Will definitely come again

We camped down the road for a night and did not know the area at all. This did not matter when we got to The Walnut Tree. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. We sat in the garden with the dogs, had fish and chips and a couple of pints. Lovely summer afternoon. If you're in the area, don't be shy and give it a go.

A must visit In Eastchurch the staff are friendly and accommodating. Not are they just friendly they are up for a laugh. The food and service are exceptional a great place for lunch, dip creation from the chef is a must try!

Great little pub. Surprisingly small though, expected something a bit bigger. Menu was very restricted, roast or nothing on Sundays. Very popular with the locals, which always bring a good vibe and atmosphere though :) Toilets are very well maintained, you just gotta mind the step when you enter. 😂 Food was amazing. The roast had a huge variety of vegetables, which were all delicious, and the pork, beef, gammon and chicken were all well cooked. Make sure to ask if you don't want gravy with it if you don't want it though. Deliteful dinner and I would recommend this pub to any locals.

Had such a great Sunday lunch with starter for 4then our roast but bit. Dissapointnted we asked for dessert order but tended to new customers so had to re askthink he did forget But all good xx

Whether popping in for a drink or taking time out for a meal, The Walnut Tree is a great place to go day or night. The bar/restaurant is smaller than average because its halved from the original building but perfect for not being in the middle of a large bustling impersonal space. The garden is large and well utilised with a substantial amount of seating and after it's recent refurb an absolute pleasure to sit out in. Landlord, Landady Steve & Ann are a genuinely friendly down to earth couple you can't help but feel at home with. Steve's cooking is always spot on with a well priced menu, that always has those good traditional British choices on, that I struggle finding elsewhere, with some additional options for those who like something with a bit of spice. Overall there is always a warm welcome and when you leave you're well fed and feel like you've been out with friends.

We had roast Sunday lunch here on our first visit. Truly yummy and very hot when it came to the table. We chatted to both owners and the staff who were all very accommodating. One of the nicest roast dinners we’ve had and very reasonably priced. Our first visit won’t be the last! Cx

Popped in on spec one Sunday for a quick bite to eat. Luckily very friendly staff and as long as we could manage to eat within a couple of hours they could squeeze us in - brilliant. Both had a Sunday Roast, which was fine, although we should've checked first as both dinners came swimming in gravy and hubby is not that keen on a lot of gravy - we just assumed it came in a gravy boat and you put it on as required - our fault. Very odd in the fact that the pub has now been literally split in half!? It used to be one pub called the Wheatsheaf, now one half is the Walnut Tree and the other half is still the Wheatsheaf - most odd! Overall not a bad little visit, with lovely friendly staff.

One of the best pubs ive ever been to,we were welcomed with open arms and everyone was so friendly it made our weekend definitely one to remember. Staff are amazing and will go out of there way to help you, Thanks again guys.

It's a bit of a trek out, but definitely worth the effort. Not many people in when we visited and parking could be an issue on a busy day. The place is very welcoming and friendly. The food is excellent. We both had kebabs which were beautifully seasoned and served with an amazingly fresh salad and fries. Very generous portions too.

This is a great place to visit the staff are very friendly nothing is ever too much trouble. We love visiting here the food is great, always cooked fresh and really tasty! In the summer the garden is great for kids especially with the outdoor play bits and the chickens in their run our kids love to go and see them. I would really recommend a visit.

Was recommended this place by the owner of the caravan we were staying in nearby. The food was absolutely devine from starters to desserts. Such a quaint little place tucked out of the way. Bar staff and owners very friendly and could not do enough for us. I would thoroughly recommend this pub restaurant.

Came for the night to have a meal with friends was not let down at all, had beautiful steaks, chicken kebabs and some other sides and have to say one of the best meals we have had anywhere at all let alone on this island!! Will 100% be back and recommending to friends! The best staff, service, beer and food what more could you ask for from this little country pub in the heart of Kent! Thank you so much guys!

Me and my 2 girl's had a pub lunch I have to say it's one of the best liver n bacon mash n peas I had the girls had the normal cheese burger n chips and the other one had nuggets n chips very nice to

Went to the restaurant last night for an anniversary meal with the wife .Nice and friendly both meals were excellent and well presented would definitely go back again and would recommend.

Excellent little pub with friendly staff and even better food. We stopped in today for a bite to eat and a beer. The sizzle steak was full of flavour and the portion sizes were more than adequate excellent value for money. They have lots of outdoor seating and a nice intimate indoor dining area. They do take card too which us always handy to know too as it's off the beaten track. Thoroughly recommended this lovely little gem of a pub. If you're on sheerness and you don't visit The Walnut Tree you're missing out. Very kid friendly too with toys and a very good range of kids meals on the menu.

Just had the Sunday roast at the Walnut tree pub Eastchurch. Took my father and wife for Sunday dinner. The meal was excellent served piping hot and in a reasonable time. The restaurant is quite small only six tables. There are plenty of tables out front if the weather is nice. The service was excellent nothing was to much trouble. My only criticism was there were lots of flys in the restaurant area. They had a bug zapper but it was either switched off or broken. Would definitely go again.

Saturday lunch time 12:30 closed ... So was pub next door why bother trading

Had an amazing dinner last night at The Walnut Tree, not only did they accommodate a change in my my husbands meal with no quibble they did it with no hesitation ( he asked to have mashed potato instead of Chips) even though his meal came with chips. The service is impeccable- owners friendly and welcoming, waitress service always with a smile.. I also have to say their BELGIAN WAFFLE WITH BANANA, ICE CREAM, FRESH CREAM, HONEYCOMB & FUDGE PIECES AND SAUCE - WAS AMAZING - ( WAS TOLD THEY DO A STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE ONE TOO) - SHALL BE TRYING THAT NEXT TIME is OMG DELICIOUS !!! Thank you everyone at The Walnut Tree we will be back

Moved here recently and have tried a few pubs around the island and The Walnut Tree is the only one I would highly recommend.We are a family of 9, with all ages. They couldn’t be more accommodating. From giving the children things to play with to catering for my father in laws dietary needs.Always a smile on their face from the time we enter until we leave. Amazing place, Food is always freshly cooked and full of taste.It might be a country pub but has a big personality. Once you have been you will want to return, like us.

We stopped off here twice during a recent stay in Leysdown - and really enjoyed our meals on both occasions. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the Sunday roast was one of the best we’ve had in a long time. Portion sizes are very generous too. Traditional, hearty pub meals with friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Staying in our motorhome nearby an evening visit to The Walnut Tree was just what we needed. We received a friendly welcome from the owners as well as the regulars sat at the bar. Had a tasty meal and they catered so well for as we are a veggie and vegan. Great chips! Beer good too.

We have eaten at this pub in the past and have always received a friendly welcome. This time there were four adults and my four-year-old great-grandson celebrating my daughter's birthday. As usual, the welcome was friendly, our drinks order was taken and we were found a table. The adults ordered the sizzling steak and my great-grandson had sausages and chips. We all said the food was well presented and absolutely delicious, as well as being very reasonably priced. A great outing and we would recommend this pub very highly.

We use this pub on a fairly regular basis, we have a breakfast or lunch. It is good value for money and the food is cooked to a high standard.

Came here last night for dinner with family for the first time. Great experience from start to end. The owners are soo welcoming the service was the best I’d ever had. Food was amazing I had the chicken wings to start and the hunters chicken. Will be back for sure !!

We live near the walnut tree...and would really have liked this to be our local...for eating and dining.

My husband and I discovered the walnut tree a few months ago and now we can't keep away what lovely friendly people and the food is absolutely lovely the best on the island you should definitely give it a try there Sunday roast is yummy

Myself and my wife have being staying on the island (while between homes) and have visited The Walnut Tree several times. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the food is excellent.....always specials on the board....beef and ale pie was fantatstic...highly recommended

Home Made Food makes a difference, and at the Walnut Tree they accompany this with great service and friendliness this makes a lot of difference, great for families as well as couples, and friends getting together. Great variety to choose from - from Bar Menu to Homemade Main Dishes to hearty breakfasts- They put their heart and sole into the food and it shows...…. Always friendly staff and always helpful. Definitely worth a visit :-)

We went for dinner, the food was cooked to order and was perfect, so perfect we returned the next morning for breakfast. All food was home cooked to order and tasted delicious. Prices were definitely value for money. Great friendly atmosphere, staff really friendly and very attentive. We will definitely go back when we are down that way again.

If your near Eastchurch this place is a must great pub and great food and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. There is a front garden for the children to play in, my little boy loved it.

Visited recently and cannot fault this pub, delicious, hot home cooked food and very reasonably priced. Friendly and welcoming staff who really cannot do enough for you. Lovely outside garden perfect on a summers evening. Will most definitely be coming back. Well worth a visit!
