Went to rum and reggae event . Fantastic atmospere . All ages . Lovely chilled out day with great music . Didnt have food but the staff worked very hard

Attended the rum and reggae event yesterday, what a fantastic afternoon in a friendly and well run community pub. Lots of friendly and attentive bar staff, good selection of draught beers, great cocktails. Great entertainment, cards and cash accepted. Thanks for a great afternoon 👍

Small cozy traditional pub that has been around for as long as I can remember.

Went in here for the first time, surprised ive never been before. Had a good time drinking with my mates, will definitely be coming back in the future.

Lovely little pub. Not going to lie I was a nuisance im lucky I wasnt barred. The staff member looked after me and my group. Orders of beer and crisps were fulfilled swiftly and impeccably. Fun was had by all. Including punters that were not part of the group. Would I go again absolutely. Would they let me in. Probably not. I could disguise myself as a typical Bexleyheath person. Then actually behave. Apologies once again. I really should get out more. Toilets are nice and well kept too. You'll love it. Top notch. Unfortunately no kitchen staff. So if you want more than crispy crisps. Maybe enquire within.

This is a pleasant little local pub that my wife and I like to call in on occasion when we are in bexleyheath. We usually stop in for a few hours of an afternoon when in town and always find it decent and welcoming with affordable prices too. Obviously a watering hole for the residents nearby (as most drinkers seem to know each other) but everyone minds their own business and allow you to go about yours unhindered. It also has a nice beer garden that we sat in and enjoyed. Down to earth efficient polite barstaff who pour a good pint, this for us is a great little 'stop off' that breaks our journey home and we have no cause of complaint so far.

Unfortunately we went there tonight only to be refused entry as it was 11.01pm and though normally fine as open until 1am, we were refused as a private party that if you got in after 11pm you were too late. Shouldn't that be on the website? We have supported this establishment since it was saved a few years back from closure, as we were friends with a backer. But now saved they can apparently be pompous.... not a good look

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonably priced!

A pub next to Sherlock Holmes museum at the Baker Street (and close to Madame Tussauds). A traditional English pub (at least according to my tourist imagination). We had a good lunch there but it is not the place I would specially travel several stops by Underground, bus etc.

Good decor. Nice beer garden. Good selection of drinks. Average prices for area.

Went to pub when walking in the area with 2 friends on the basis of it being a recommended Camra pub - on arrival found it sold only Doom Bar and Old Speckled Hen - not the most inspirational Beers. We settled for 3 pints of the Hen which were cloudy, vinegary and smelt way past their best. Was told by barman in was “a new barrel” - beer tasted awful , we left after 15 mins and will not be returning …

We visited here as a group of friends on thursday it was kareoke night which was perfect we all had a fantastic night the lady who looked after us i think her name was susan i hope thats right she was a breath of fresh air so kind and bubbly a real credit to the pub thank u so much sweetheart cant wait to come back next thursday x xx

Great friendly local pub. Always accomodating to our needs. Live sport and great music. Staff lead by Dan and Laura are brilliant. We have eaten here a coiple of times and always had great food.

The volunteer is a great pub, full of nice people!! And the staff go the extra mile, working so hard under the present circumstances to deliver your food and drink with a smile,a laugh and of course the bill.

Upgrading their outdoor seating soon. Nice local!

I had my grandaughters gender reveal on sunday had a great day bar staff was fantastic would defo recommend this pub and its sells diet 7up so I'm a very happy lady

My friend chose for a family party. Only a short walk from where we had parked at the bowling alley as the parking looks a bit tight around the area with double yellow lines, etc. As not local it may be you could get closer.They had corned off part of the bar for the event, though people could walk through as it was by the one of the entrance doors. Its nice inside, not too big, which worked for us. We had a couple of tables and with the bar stools more than enough seating. They do not do food on site but order it in. All the bits were really nice so no issues there.The bar staff were really good and on the ball. All in all was a nice pub to visit and it seems to be popular as it was busy while we were there, but the clientele all seemed respectful. Had a beer garden at the back and the WC were good.

Visited the pub recently for a Birthday celebration. Found the pub very friendly and welcoming. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful There was a very good singing duo playing which where very good and not too load Would recommend the pub

Went here after a funeral, the staff were very polite and helpful. The food we had was very nice. Not from the area but all in all very nice, parking not a problem either. Spoke to a few people who come here a lot and they say cannot fault it.

I’ve been into the volunteer about 4/5 times recently it’s a traditional pub good beer but excellent staff very friendly atmosphere lots of live stuff at weekends but great to pop in if you just fancy a pint

It's my old local so I guess it's obvious I'm not going to slate the place but having returned from a year away working decided to give my opinion of the new Volly under new ownership.The Refurb is good and clean but stays close to its original cottagey type format. The old, wonderful barstaff have been to some extent retained so overall the pub is a mix of familiarity alongside the freshness and good intention of new ownership. Beer answer spirit selection is good but availability of real ale can be a bit hit and miss. Not a food pub but pizzas and nibbles available and reasonably priced. Overall a great pub to meet mates or pop in for one yourself. Local feel but not cliquey. Not sure what evenings or weekends like but from what I've seen a very promising start.Cheers

Nice friendly pub with great staff and good atmosphere

Heard the volly had been done up so we went out for a drink. Cannot fault the pub as the staff were hard working and didn’t keep you hanging about, the decor has improved c c 1000%. The only thing that spoiled it for us was the music as we went out for a drink with some nice music in the background and a chat. The music that was played to be fair was not very good and there was no bass only a tinny kind of noise coming from a guitar. Saturday the 18-08-18 this wont put me off going but it might stop me going into pubs that had this act on.

New owners not bad selection of beer smells of cats

Después de mover fuera de la zona que hace unos años pensé que lo pop por la noche, ojalá no haber molestado. La señora de detrás de la barra estaba siendo extremadamente grosero a otros miembros del personal. Y parecía borracho. Los inodoros estaban vergonzoso y no detergente a mano o debería decir que papel higiénico. También había otro chico que parecía ser un regular en el bar y durmiendo, todo esto por alto. Nunca volveremos ahora! Lo que solía ser un pub encantador y amable propiedad se ha convertido en una pesadilla.

El voluntariado ha sido renovado. Su bonita y luminosa alrededor de la zona de bar con paredes pintadas de color gris y muebles nuevos. Esta es una mejora real. El personal es amable y no hay haga clic en este pub, asiduos están encantados de recibir a nuevos clientes. Karaoke todos los jueves desde las 9 pm, banda/cantantes en un sábado por la noche con el extraño Disco cada tan a menudo. La comida está disponible durante la semana y los fines de semana, mucha variedad en el menú, y un montón de comida en su plato. Si antes de la reforma, visitamos dar otra oportunidad.

Have been there many times over the years and used to be great but every time I go now I think how down it's gone . It was quite busy and the atmosphere was ok but is in desperate need of a make over especially the ladies toilets they are terrible

Popped into the volunteer for a quick drink and ended up staying for lunch. This is a small traditional pub very friendly staff and warm atmosphere. There were several customers seated in one area of the bar chattering and interacting with each other as a group obviously regulars. All were drinking and eating, so we decided to join them.
