The Tailor’s Chalk is my closest pub in the Wetherspoon chain. It is very conveniently placed for visiting by public transport. The manager and staff are all helpful and welcoming The food is standard Wetherspoon's fare, and the wide selection of drinks is priced very reasonably for a pub on the suburbs of London.

Stopped for a quick drink. It was okay.

Busy local, great atmosphere. Food menu, good choice of selection reasonably priced. Friendly staff, tea, and coffee machine stocked well. Has improved since my last visit. 👏

Visited with my husband for a bite to eat and drinks before a night out. The service we received was excellent (I didn't get our waiter's name. He was wearing a shirt, could have been the manager). He was very friendly and accomodating. The food was very good and excellent value for money. All the bar staff were very friendly. Highly recommended and we will be back soon.

After the local council shut down the library Tim Martin did the local male community a huge service and turned this pub into a reading room. If you are female or simply want conversation the Hoppers Hut and the Hill Top Tap are within two minutes walk.

When we eventually got a seat had a decent enough meal and very reasonable, wetherspoons best value around!

The drinks are very competitively priced.

The food was good, greasy and hot. Arrived very quickly to the table as well as the drinks. Staff were friendly. Not much in the way of atmosphere, no low music or sound from the t.v. certain areas smelt. Would only suggest for some quiet drinks.

Love a Weatherspoons whenever we visit Sidcup or wherever. Good honest food at very affordable prices. Picked up the magazine for the first time and it's incredible what the company does.

Nice place to have a good value pub lunch with my son. Good value, convenient app ordering, no extra charge for ketchup, and nice staff.

It's definitely better than the harvester.. The steak was cooked well, just wish the plate was hotter. I'd have liked to have seen some peas, grilled mushrooms or a tomato. The plate seemed empty for what it was. I added the chicken breast myself. Later on, added scampi too.

I recently visited the tailors chalk in Sidcup and had a very nice afternoon. Food and drink were very good at affordable prices. There is a raised platform area at the back of the pub with skylights in the ceiling a nice section to sit and relax. I would definitely return.

I always like coming to this pub . It's always busy and noisy , but not too noisy, though. Great atmosphere, good food, good beers all at good prices . The only downside is that renowned Wetherspoons torturous climb up a thousand steps, which seems like the journey to the top of a lighthouse just for a pee .

The food is good. I stick to the same things, Southern fried chicken wrap or the salad the salad I think at the moment it is called the Mediterranean Salad and is surprising good. Really it's the staff that make it Jed and Shell always are warm welcoming and know the regulars. Most of the other members of staff are the same too.

Only drank in here. Nice enough place.

Brilliant staff, totally switched on. Great beer...so why 1*? Because of the abysmal children who run riot, shout and scream and are supported by equally abysmal parent... singular. Absolutely hellish experience. Definitely not for the faint hearted. Avoid.

Best place to have your traditional English breakfast x And guess what they offer refilling of hot drinks. The breakfast is spot on and well presented.

Went there with a friend we both ordered different drinks they never had what we wanted ended up both drinking something we didn't really want had the one drink and left definitely won't be rushing back

Breakfast quality used to be excellent when a traditional breakfast used to cost £3. As the price has gone up the quality has gone down. Eggs are always well over or just cooked.

Great place quick service spotlessly clean great breakfast thanks No sticky tables lol. Ben was really good and very professional and was good at he’s job polite smiling etc.

A lovely compact little pub up the hill from the station. Whilst it is very much a standard spoon decor the seating seems to get more comfortable the deeper you go. The staff were excellent: very friendly and quick to inform my mate that the ale he ordered was unavailable but were quick to replace it as requested. The pub was clean and tidy even though it was quite busy when we were there. The Guinness was excellent as was the Morland's Old Speckled Hen.

First time visit and have to say it was very pleasant, food was great and service spot on.

Cosy little place with friendly locals and staff. Ideal for a snack and glass of wine after shopping.The staff here make you feel welcome and couldn't do enough to make you have a pleasant visit.

I've been here several times over the past 18 months or so and it's a pleasant pub - good to see such a large turnout at lunchtimes and throughout the afternoon, which bodes well for post-pandemic trade.

This was my first experience of this weatherspoons. The staff were great and the food was..... well ok actually. Only thing that did make me question weather i was in the right place was when someone decided they couldn't make it to the toilet and did a didgeridoo doo on the floor in the hallway. Other than that 10/10

Pub is extremely friendly with helpful staff. Does great breakfasts and great lunchtime. Pub seems well organised and well stocked but tends to fill up a lot late afternoon & early evening.

Got to be 1 of JDW's smallest pubs. I always visit when in the area (from Dorset). It's always busy so obviously doing the right things, although that could just be down to the choice of beers & their prices.

£5.90 large breakfast added £1.30 for 2 slices of black pudding, coffee £1.35 get free refills. Great food well cooked lavazza coffee good. Clean premises, staff prompt and polite. All in all a good experience. Keep up the good work ✌️

Went to have a quiet drink found only the bar staff working .. into a hour of my drink a bunch of drinking youngster started to fight with the staff .. good staff for not arguing

This is a great pub, a great range of ales, very well kept, fantastic affordable prices, the staff are all knowledgeable and well trained, the decor is fantastic, clean and old school. Well worth a visit compared with some other local less well kept hostelries.

Like all Wetherspoons their menus have stalled at Covid levels. Very static although tasty enough. Still great value for money but the menu needs an uplift.

Nice enough wetherspoons but staff ineffective and no clue.asked for a lemonade gave my aunt strawberry lemonade. Wouldn't go there again

Ok, typical weatherspoons. Staff were nice. We did get caught out by the 22:30 bar closing time.

Worked in the pub whilst the car was being serviced. It was brilliant bottomless coffee. Nice breakfast. Did need a clean from previous nights food on the floor however accomodating friendly staff.

Had a chicken jaifrezi from the curry club, it looked like chicken tikka in the pot to make up the chicken, one poppadom was like a dish cloth in the middle and the samosa was solid on the outside and fridge cold on the inside, hopefully I am not made a member of this curry club as I don't think I could eat it again. Nice cold cider though.

Went with a few friends for lunch. All enjoyed their food which was served promptly and in a friendly manner. Usual excellent value of course. Really enjoyed my time there.

Excellent quality food very tasty and very enjoyable jacket potato with tuna and me ham egg and chips mmmmm chicken chips some of my friend rice and beast of chicken fill up also comes with a beer 4 me coke

Wetherspoons Pubs/Eateries have become iconic in the Restaurant/Pub world. The Sidcup high st restaurant keeps up the quality of this chain. The meal was excellent and the drinks at very reasonable prices (which is not always the case these days). The service was very quick with friendly, efficient knowledgeable staff. The clientele was extremely diverse with young students to Senior citizens. Very roomy pub and highly recommended.

Disgusting food and rude staff (the man who served me last time was polite but the females are just rude)🤢🤢🤢 dirty venue (there was tissue all over my booth) wet menu so I switched it for another and it was extremely sticky. Food was pathetic and overpriced but last time I went there they didn’t even have the food I wanted (no chicken bit stupid considering it’s half the menu) I will not even mention the pitcher drinks that are mainly ice and juice with maybe the smallest bit of Smirnoff that cannot even be tasted ?? The venue smells awful and the toilet wasn’t even that clean tbh would I go here again?? Definitely not for the price I payed 💀💀🤣🤣 better off going to the macdonalds across the street tbh xx
