The Tremenheere in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

As usual, a traditional Wetherspoon. Good for a pint and all day food. The cheapest and best option that I prefer over any other. My first option for all my trips around UK.

On line ordering app couldn't take payment. Staff were OK. Food was as you expect at Wetherspoons.

Wrong food sent, but sorted out

Penzance Community Centre. Run of the mill offering from Mr Brexit embodied (funny, I thought he was from one of the colonies himself! 🐙)

Absolutely disgusting place, ordered coffee and sat outside with my wifes assistance dog who had the vest and harness displaying he was an assistance dog ,my wife also had her lanyard and card around her neck we wasn't bothering anyone when 'KAREN' a wetherspoons employee came out of a side door like a storm trooper demanding we leave the property due to the dog,my wife explained he was her assistance dog and she showed her the card and vest when KAREN said she didn't care it was their policy no dogs and we needed to show her the yellow AD book,we explained that we never needed it before and with that she told us to just leave ,every other shop in Penzance welcomes dogs it really is a nice place with nice people except Wetherspoons.

Food was good however service was terrible not a smile in sight all tables were dirty covered in empty cups and plates was asked for my id no please no thank you she proceeded to walk off with no explanation comes back and says had to check it wasn’t fake honestly never felt so unwelcome would give 0 star if I could

everyone is miserable.A smile would be nice.

Great customer service, one waitress asked to take a picture of us all as she could see we were struggling to do it. Another waitress was very accommodating. Very happy here and would return. Food is how all these places are. Camborne weatherspoons could learn a thing or two

Curry night (Thursday), probably the busiest and noisiest Spoons we've been in for some time. All the more reason to thank the hardworking staff for bringing drinks quickly and hot food in good time. All with friendly efficient good humour. Well done all of you!

Best pub in Penzance, great staff, especially Teegan who pours Guinness like she's Irish, often with impressive artwork in the foam. 10/10

A good spoons in the middle of penzance

Must be one of the cheapest Wetherspoons in the Southwest. Breakfast and unlimited coffee, cheaper than a fast food establishment. Final tick, every time I have visited, Tyne food had been excellent.

Friendly staff. Warm and welcoming environment. Couldn't rate the food as the kitchen was closed due to a technical fault.

Standard weatherspoons. As cheap as McDonald's but with better service and food and a nicer atmosphere especially at lunch time on a Sunday.

Lovely hot food and lovely atmosphere. Staff very attentive.

Dreadful security and bar staff I'm afraid. Was having a very normal conversation with some friends and a few strangers near the bar, when two people around me said "I can smell weed" before a guy said "that'll be me" before walking off. I was approached by security (short, squat, 45ish, blondey brown hair) and asked to leave the premises because a barmaid (dark hair, ponytail, cream jumper) thought it was me, based purely on the fact it was a male voice coming from roughly that area of the bar. Despite several friends, acquaintances, and also complete strangers who weren't even involved in our conversation all pointing them in the direction of the man who actually said it, and me offering a full search etc and the security staff admitting I did not smell of anything like that at all (I've never done it in my life) I was still asked to leave. There must have been 14 people all pointing them in the direction of the actual culprit, so it's a real shame. Bar lady simply said "of course that's what youd all say if you'd done it" or something to that effect, which simply doesn't make sense considering the amount of people who I didn't even know who were trying to explain what had actually happened. What a strange level of service. Very poor form from the one bar lady and the two security staff. I of course politely left without kicking up a fuss, but it was completely ridiculous and perplexing for everyone involved. It's a shame as me and my wife come here to eat lunch roughly once every week or two, and me and my co workers meet here every so often for a couple of drinks, but we won't be coming back. Felt pretty humiliating to just be picked out seemingly at random, completely falsely accused with so many people pointing out who actually said it, and being asked to leave. I've never been "kicked out" of anywhere before and it felt very embarrassing..

Busy and noisy but it was midday and during the week running up to Xmas. But the prices are very good and the all you can drink coffee is fantastic.

Friendly staff, quick food...excellent

Bizarre state of affairs. Refused to serve a group because we were apparently drunk and yet the dregs of humanity get a drink at 9am.

Food was luke warm. No Christmas atmosphere, surprisingly enough , is the Christmas period. But staff were warm and friendly.

Amazing prices. Good selection of great beers. On this occasion young dark haired lady Wednesday 20th Nov 2pm very unfriendly and actually quite rude.

My friend was left upset tonight, after trying to come in with his dog. He was told no dogs, then he asked if he could sit outside (which I've seen people loads of times with dogs) He was told no, he understood and left. He asked if he could sit outside, there was no response. He then asked if it was because he was black (which he's really black) but the barmaid didn't respond yes or no. If you weren't a racist you'd say no, "it's because we're not allowed dogs in here" instead she just looked at him absolutely disgusted and said nothing. He was really placid and said he gets it all the time. I've lived here for over 20 years but not particularly impressed.

Standard spoons food, very busy at lunchtimes. Handy that you can order and pay at your table via their app.

Lovely food and service was quick. Staff very nice. Would visit again but sit away from window where there was two local old men that did nothing but pick fault with people walking passed and their language was disgusting especially at breakfast time when there were so many people with young children.

It is a nice place for dine in. It has wheel chair access.

No music, cheap food, cheap booze but family friendly. It's a spoons after all.

Went In for some food and a drink the ale I ordered was off so gave her my second choice for her to tell me that was also unavailable. On the plus side staff are friendly and professional just think that the app should update quicker.

Exactly what you expect cheap beer good comforting food

It's a Spoon's, therefore you know what you are getting, and it's always great value.

A good Wetherspoons with plenty of space. There's the normal good menu with something for everyone, and the service was really quick. Some good food offers, and I had a veggie all-day brunch for less than £5 with a soft drink. The food was delicious and well cooked. It's definitely easiest to order on the app.

People in the pub were unpleasant.

Good quick service in a clean pub

It's a wetherspoons! cheap and cheerful. It's ok, nothing amazing. Reasonably priced food and drink. Toilets are upstairs, so I had to ask as I couldn't see them.

Been here several times and it's always been clean, welcoming and friendly. It's the only place in Penzance where you can feed a family on a sensible budget and enjoy meeting the locals. Strongly recommended for families with well behaved kids.

Your local spoons, defintely has a character and heavily dependent on the day and time you visit. But always reliable for a cheeky pint or freeflow of tea/hot chocolate.

Not the best Wetherspoons pub, we went in a few on holiday down Cornwall in August and this was definitely the worse one with some strange characters although in fairness the staff were very friendly and helpful, Guinness was average and food was ok

It's a spoons but staff were friendly food was great which for a spoons is awesome good few hours spent and chatting to locals was entertaining.

Been to a number of this company. Was packed so service slow, when tried to pay for drinks was told they don't accept 50 pound notes. I thought what ? You have to be kidding a major company that doesn't even take their currency. Absolutely the high end of ridiculous. Had no problems changing the 50 in other pubs and shops. Had curry which was nice but had worst burps ever which tells me they use MSG.

Appalling, asked to move from an outside table because we have a dog, the tables on the pavement, no signs about dogs. Turns out it was because a yocal complained, to get our table, his regular 10am slot.

Was OK. Just stopped by for a drink. Sat in the beer garden but all the smokers came out making it unusable. Very disappointing

Called in here when we're in Penzance and although the food was decent the place always looked a bit on the tired side. This time though some money had been spent and the place looked far nicer. Ordered food on their App which arrived fairly promptly, it was great quality and very tasty, only downside was the missing eggs from the ham and eggs I'd ordered. The issue was soon resolved with an apology so all in all a place I'd easily recommend.

Good café where locals come because food and drinks are affordable.

One of the least attractive Spoons, staff were trying their best, but no Internet didn't help. Loos were quite smelly as well.

The 4 of us sat down outside with the dog started to order on the app and was told to leave due to the dog. The first ever spoons to refuse a dog sitting outside. So went to The dolphin tavern down the road and had our meal while looking at the harbour. Beats staring at scaffolding that’s for sure. Ps the food at the dolphin tavern is very good.

Busy and crowded but expected for a lunchtime. Food all arrived together and reasonably priced for a party of six.

Attractive pub in Penzance town centre. We only took a coffee break, so it's hardly possible to comment on the food and service. But the menu was appealing and the atmosphere was quite cozy.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Went to meet my friend for a coffee. Couldn't believe how cheap it was. £2.10 for 2 hot drinks and it's actually bottomless so you can just help yourself. Perfect

The food was terrible, my wife's chicken was grey. My mixed grill wasn't much better, I couldn't tell the difference between the lamb, pork and steak.

This whether spoons was not at all good for me and my family the service was horrible the servers and the people at the bar were very mean and made one of my kids cry and on top of that they made my family leave because of my dog who was in a shop next door

Worst food we’ve had at Wetherspoon place could do with a good clean. One to avoid.

It's hard to grade the atmosphere for a general Wetherspoon. But you can't beat them for a nice clean well kept bar and reasonably priced food from that particular region. So if you're in the West you will find West Country ingredients used in your meal. If you're a fan of beer and helping keep local landmarks alive don't forget the Tremenheer. Although not claiming to be the Former Mayors Mansion it is nevertheless a lovely piece of architecture from a bygone age. As with all Wetherspoon's there is local history and art displayed about the building. They have a beer garden out there back, but sadly it's not what you'd call a beautiful one. It's more a smoking garden of you will. This 'Spoons does have seating outside the front of the building which, even though it's on the main road, is more entertaining. If you like people watching, the recommended seat is definitely number 12. It's a high bench in the large window facing onto the old Lloyd Bank building.

We were here on a Thursday evening. As part of Whetherspoons they have lots of deals and choice. Enjoyed a meal with a drink, a baby Guinness and a cocktail. Friendly staff and smooth service.

On the morning of 13:04/24 we arranged to meet up with a friend outside of The Tremenheere, he had been in and bought himself a drink and the reason for being outside was he’d brought the dog along. As we were arriving we heard a member of staff say ‘dogs are not allowed on the property’, the dog was quietly sitting outside under a table?, not attempting to go inside the Tremeneere. We decided we would rather eat elsewhere.

Had a nice fish and chips here. Nice Wetherspoons, friendly staff.

Ate at this Wetherspoons with family. Place full, yet service quick, delivered to the table using App. Table also cleared quickly. Toilets clean Beer a good price

Terrible, must be avoided! We visited for a drink and food. Food was good and to the usual Wetherspoon standards. However what let this pub down was the staff and their attitude towards customers. All very rude and unhelpful. I asked if there was any BBQ sauce, as there was none out. Was rudely told is not part of their offering and I was made to pay extra for two very little squirts of sauce. I didn’t mind paying as I was happy to have this addition with our food. Just seems strange the day before in another pub in their chain was offer the sauce for free? We were a table of three. All ordered on the app in one order yet food came out all at different times and we had to chase down a missing dish that was forgotten, then we had to ask for a third set of cutlery. As you can imagine with the unfriendly staff and their manner it was a very unpleasant visit. Avoid this particular site if you’re visiting this area.

Only one serving at bar 3pm doing apps orders and pouring drinks. Coffee machines not topped up no hot chocolate, very weak coffee.

A big Wetherspoon pub with lovely food and friendly staff. Always busy especially between 12 and 2 but always worth a visit. Right at the top of Market Jew Street, get a bus up and walk down through the shops.

A delightful stop in. I wanted a nice place to write and my usual place was closed. I was served by a charming and professional lady who had great bar banter and good humour. The atmosphere was wonderful and relaxed despite the heavy foot traffic. The location has a lot of charm and personality and the quality of their good food matches it. If you're looking for a pleasant place to dine or throw a couple back with friends I highly recommend the Tremenheere. As it won't let you leave hungry nor thirsty.

OK. So mum's toast come out burnt. Lucky she likes over done burnt toast for some reason. I think 13 for a microwave tikka isn't worth it. But breakfast was nice. Unlimited tea.

Had a cheeky pint & shared a bowl of cheesy chips with my wife here. Busy pub with lots of seating. Typical Spoons menu. You know what you are getting.
