I have a gluten intolerance. Spoke to Carl waiter/ barman. He was very helpful. I had a lovely meal. Great service. Only negative the deco is a bit dated/ shabby. Toilets need a good scrub.

Hired out a side of the pub for a joint birthday party for family and friends and it was the perfect place! We struggled to find somewhere that was a good price but most importantly size wise suitable and local which provided food, drink, space and a bit of light music and good atmosphere, and the travellers home ticked all the boxes! Everyone commented what a lovely atmosphere it had and most importantly how nice the staff were! A huge thanks to Shania and her team (Gary, Charlie and Marion). From the moment we enquired to the very end Shania was great, so friendly and nothing was a problem! Just a great experience dealing with the team to make it a special day. The food - we ordered a buffet and again great food which (thank you to the chefs - Amy, Arturas and Tracey). There was another party after us so we had to shuffle around to a new spot (all agreed beforehand) again was no problem and Shania even reserved us enough space for those who wanted to stay later to ensure we all were sitting together! We would 100% use this place again for a quiet lunch or family event! And def recommend this pub to everyone!

fantastic food and company. had a mega mixed grill , sirloin steak and scampy all well cooked and tasted great. staff were very welcoming and friendley. was a pleasure to be there. big thanks to the staff

Myself & friends visit on a regular basis & food is always excellent & good choices on the menu. All staff are very friendly, especially Gary who makes a point to say hello & brings our drinks to the table.

Staff gave a friendly welcome on entering the premises also helped us through the menu to the point that we could swap and add different things for example instead of mash with sausages we had chips . Food was delivered within 15 mins overall good service Desserts were good as well Would like to see fosters on tap please

Great pub. Staff are always very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The pub is always clean and the beer always tastes great. The food is amazing. Very reasonable priced.

6 of us came to.celebrate 2 birthdays. Lois and Shania were great, serving us with kindness and humour and singing 'Happy Birthday'while bringing out birthday cake that we bought with us. Tracey and Amy cooked really delicious food for us all. We had a really great lunchtime

As usual, very good food in a friendly atmosphere. Marlon, in particular, took good care of my disabled husband and checked that he was comfortable and his meal was to his liking. This is one of our "go to" pubs for a midweek meal.

We always come here, Johnny the bar man is always lovely and happy to cater to needs, and Anita who works in the kitchen always makes the food delicious.

This restaurant has greatly improved. The staff are so friendly and helpful and a good atmosphere. The food was lovely I had the tandoori sizzling plate it was very tasty but the tender stem broccoli was missing which was a shame also I got ice cream with my sticky toffee pudding and not custard as stated in the menu, despite this it was all very enjoyable and I look forward to returning again very soon.

What lovely staff, shania was brilliant, couldn’t be more helpful Simon the kitchen manager nothing but praise to the man, Rubi the waitress went and got what we asked for a fussy happy 😆 and the bar staff Joni and Joe bit shy but nothing was too much for them, credit where it’s due, I paid £48 with 2 bottles of wine, fed the family, did not butter an eyelid when I asked to take the leftovers for the dog, nothing is too much for them, drive up the road 2 mins and you get the Yacht and its dog food served on a plate! Well done guys for turning this pub around. Can’t wait to come back x

Omg I can’t believe I have turned up to a pub and the staff was lovely, Shania could not do enough for us even tho we changed our menu after ordering , Simon the chef I am a very fussy eater but he came out and went through the menu and even showed me the fridge where everything was fresh and clean, as I can be fussy 😢 beats weatherspoon prices and service, I honestly think they deserve a little collection pot as credit where it’s due these little gems are nothing but helpful x Also yes the managers are professional but don’t forget the team of the lovely waitress Rubi and the bar boys John and Joe! X

We was here for our nephews 11 bday. 17-4-24 we would like to say Thank you for a lovely evening. Food was lovely the waitress maddie was brilliant and lovely. so was the bar staff shania and Rosie. Thank you to the chefs Tracey and Anita for brilliant tasty hot food. Was a real enjoyable nite. Would highly recommend coming here. Will deffo be coming back.

Lovely breakfast. Such good value for money. I spent just under £8. For a classic English breakfast. Which was really tasty and unlimited tea or coffee. Really friendly staff so helpful. Will definitely be coming here again.

We visited the travellers home and were greeted by Carl who was very hospitable and nothing was too much trouble, the food and drinks were first class as was the service, I recommend visiting there, you won’t be disappointed. Well done Carl and the rest of the staff, I will go there again.

Abbie, Rose, John and Charlie were great as always. The curry feast was amazing too! Lots of food and very, very tasty. 10/10 would recommend.

Smerdon Lunch Club paid a visit to the Travellers Home and was very pleased we did. We made use of the 40% off main meals deal from the app. It made it very good value. We booked in advance with a large group. Parking was good the staff was very friendly and helpful but was very much under staffed but our waitress was excellent and made our visit well worth while. Our group order fish and chips, sizzling Chicken fajitas, Caribbean Style jerk chicken skewers, and burgers cant wait for our next visit
