The Tilted Wig in Warwick

We just visited the restaurant. Had been walking round Warwick all day, sightseeing. We decided to have a meal before going back to our hotel. Found this place in the square, it looked ok from the outside though fairly busy. No wonder! Food is fantastic, not just normal fantastic, but fantastic with bells and whistles. Look at the pictures and see for yourself. Then, go and eat. And, eat and eat.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location. Food disappointing though. Two of our meals (same dish) were awful - had to leave a lot of it. Did mention it to the team who gave us a portion of chips to share instead. Was a birthday lunch and I was really disappointed.

A good pub serving the centre of Warwick. A choice of 3 in the centre, this one may be more expensive than Weatherspoons next door, but then they do hate dogs!

Friendly pub with tons of seating outside. It was perfect for a Bank Holiday drink with friends

Waited for over an hour to be served our lunch. Unfortunately not very good service. Food was not too bad when it finally arrived.

We didn't stay here but went there for dinner, we had a fantastic time, the food was great, I can thoroughly recommend the ribeye pork and chocolate brownie,my husband had the sausages and said they were some of the best he has eaten. The attention and service were excellent by both Chole and Kris,we were made to feel welcome from the moment we entered. If we had been staying longer in Warwick we would have definitely returned to eat again.

We stayed here at the weekend. A really lovely and popular hotel and restaurant. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed for breakfast which was also very nice with lots of. Variety. The room was good with a very comfortable bed had a good sleep. The only thing I'd like to mention is the room that we stayed in has two steps down into the bedroom, which can be quite a problem if someone misses the step during the night 🌙. I think a slope would be a good option in the future. Apart from that it's a beautiful place run by good attentive staff.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in February our room was fabulous and was absolutely spotless as was everywhere else. We had a amazing breakfast and had lunch and dinner on the Friday evening which was fabulous there sandwiches are huge so be warned. The staff are honestly probably the most friendliest that we have ever experienced and are an absolute credit to the owners ..its why we believe the pub is always busy. Its very central and within walking distance to the castle and city center there is a fabulous market just outside the pub its brilliant be warned there fruit n veg and bread sell out really fast. I think the only thing that could be improved is the parking they need to get the spaces marked it would be much easier when we arrived there was a van parked up so we parked where we could, a manager arrived and wanted us to move which was fine as we were eating lunch. Thank you everyone at the tilted wig for making our stay perfect we will defiantly return.

Booked a meal for 11 family members to have Mother's Day lunch a day early. We were all really impressed with our meals. The food was great, nice wine, good service and didn't feel rushed at all. We were given a nice spot by the window and all had a really great time. Thank you

In the area and stopped by for lunch. The staff were super attentive and friendly. Lunch was delicious and just what we were after.. a pint, some sandwiches and a bowl of chips. Very reasonably priced too. Pub is right in the middle of town aswell so enjoyed a browse round the market afterwards. Will definitely stop by again if we’re back that way.

We have eaten here a number of times now and I can honestly say that every single time we have been, staff have been so welcoming, so courteous and eager to please it has been an absolute pleasure to be there! Our food has always been lovely, slightly on the pricier side than other pubs in the area but 'you get what you pay for!' Service has been quick, we have received attention from staff, the pub itself is lovely with a great atmosphere, it's a cracking place!

Staff members were absolutely helpful when I requested vegan food. They really went for that "extra mile". Looked after us during our lunch. I definitely recommend the place 👌 Also the food was delicious and big portion too. All of us left with almost burst tummy....

Expensive wine, poor ale selection, we had one Sauv Blanc and one Ale, £3 change from £20 and I really struggled to drink the pint. Very disappointed and won't be returning...

Oh my gosh. Was perfect for a relaxed evening. Our first night in Warwick and Khris was so welcoming the second we walked in. Was really attentive and made us feel like locals. Fantastic service. Food was delicious and the other chaps on the bar were fantastic with their suggestions. Atmosphere was relaxed. We opted for the 40oz steak sharer and it was cooked perfectly. Chips were delicious 100% recommend. Attention to detail is excellent,ordered a pint of blue moon from bar man,khris made sure when drink was served blue moon symbol was facing customer,shows the level of Attention to detail you don't normally get.

We went in for dinner on Wednesday night with our 2 kids. Brilliant service from all the boys behind the bar and the chef also did a fabulous job! A great experience. We will definitely be back!

Sorry about delay in putting a review on chris, we have had a family berevement! We stayed here on 1st feb, we stayed for a week, well what an amazing place! Very central in warwick for many things! The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful especially Chris! Our room was lovely and clean, and was cleaned everyday with fresh towels etc! We had a lovely view over the square that has a market every saturday morning! Yes it is a pub but the noise was not a problem for us at all! The breakfast and evening meal was lovely! Came here with three friends to watch the England rugby game. We didn't eat so can't comment on he food other than it looked good and there were a lot of clean plates. I wouldn't normally comment but this pub was really welcoming and a great place to watch sport. There is a large restaurant and bar at the front but there is a massive pemanent marquee at the back with loads of heaters and a smoking area. Great atmospheere and friendly staff.

Love the Tilted Wig! Had an amazing evening for Valentines Day with my partner. From the lovely greeting to the goodbye was lovely service and we absolutely loved the Tomahawk Steak sharer, it was amazing! Just melted in the mouth and seasoned beautifully. Hands down the best steak we’ve ever had so hats off to the chef! Owner and Staff absolutely lovely and so friendly. We live a couple of towns over but this is our new favourite place! You’ll be silly not make a visit if you’re in Warwick. Thanks for a lovely evening we’ll remember!

Excellent pub, warm welcome, wonderful situation

Excellent service in nicely decorated and friendly pub right on the market square. Fantastic sandwiches, interesting though not huge selection but tasty and fab value for money. Other main meals looked lovely too but we only wanted a light lunch. Would def visit again next time we are in Warwick.

The Tilted Wig Warwick was a brilliant culinary experience. Perfect ,medium-rare sirloin. Brilliant pepper sauce. The staff are brilliantly led by Chris and you are looked after very attentively. A superb establishment in every way.

Great pub and excellent staff, let down by paper thin walls and a night light in the room designed to help planes land. Breakfast was served far too late in the day for a business trip. All in all, not great for the price.

I stayed 1 night here in their very nicely decorated and furnished room. The room overlooked the marketplace. The room included tea and coffee, basic toiletries, a TV and a very pleasant shower. The bed was clean and soft and offered a good night sleep. Breakfast was included in the package and this was a very enjoyable Full-English. Highly recommended! It was a little noisy in the evening, but hey, it's above a pub, so to be expected. So why the 4 stars? In our room was a shocking H&S lapse. The shower switch has exposed wires showing. We didn't point this out to the (very pleasant) staff because it is impossible to not notice this - they would have been aware. I would recommend this hotel. The staff were great, room lovely and food excellent. Hopefully they will very quickly rectify the issue we had.

The room no4 was small but adequate, but had a great view of the square , the bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean and serviceable, the main pain in the butt was the bright green emergency light in the area between bed space and bathroom which totally lit up the room, very bright, far too bright, so if you require total darkness to sleep you're not gonna get it. Also beware of the big steps up level change from sleeping area to bathroom. Also as it's an old building loads of noise heard from adjoining rooms especially creaky floor boards, coughing, doors opening and closing, toilets flushing, showers, etc. All said if you can deal with all this it's still a lovely characterful place to stay and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is good too.

The general manager Chris is hilarious and show us everything for our rooms. Also introduce us to a few his workers and best friend. Our room is comfortable and fits our needs perfectly. The food is really fantastic, we got fish & chips with beer of course. The workers are lively folks and wonderful. I definitely will stay here again. Thank you for making our trip Warwick more enjoyable. We are more quieter folks and don't talk much but everyone was very friendly to us and still talked to us. We felt welcome. The rooms are above the pub and it is noisily, you will hear music, people and things moving around. Which of course you would hear it, being above a pub! I think this place is great for younger crowd or night owls. There is annoying green light in room that have to be there for safely because the steps in room. So bring a sleep mask!

Good atmosphere. Lovely prepared fresh food. Excellent friendly service. I had sausage and mash with black pudding and amazing onion gravy. My husband had the sea bass. Delicious. A cocoa cola and tonic - £36.65

Great meal and warm, friendly service. We had a mix of Sunday roasts and mains in our party of 9 (adults and children) and everything was delicious. A fab night from start to finish, thank you Khris and your team!

My wife and I ate here on a Sunday evening and were extremely pleased to be able to have a good dinner at 7.30pm. Chloe behind the bar and Rui running front of house made us feel at home. There were many people eating when we arrived early at 6.30pm and we could see why as hearty roast dinners were being served. We chose to share the chorizo scotch egg, my wife then had sea bass fillets (3) on a bed of wilted spinach, tomato and caper salsa with crushed potato cake. I had the venison burger, which was delicious. Would highly recommend this place and will eat here again when we are in Warwick.

We had 3 courses meal. Starters were really nice, loved my prawns. We had to wIt for 30 mins for The main and it was a less quality, i didn’t like the potatoes cake underneath the sea bass as it was super oily. For the dessert i had a brownie and it was really burnt and i can taste it, probably the chef tried to hide it with the ice cream but didn’t really work. What i noticed about this restaurant is it’s dog friendly, but i don’t like someone touching dogs to serve my food. 2 waiters were stroking a dog on the same time as i was watching them, one. Washed her hands but the other one unfortunately went straight to the bar making a drink.. It this happened in front of me, probably worse happened behind the door. Hope to improve this as it’s considered as a priority hygiene. Thanks!

OH MY GOD!!!! the food at this place is to die for.... I've had many burgers in my time but the special burger with brie beat everything I've had out the park! The owner was super friendly and even tho it was 8pm Saturday night it was only a 45 min wait and the food came all together and hot hot hot!!! Chocolate orange vegan cake was beautiful fluffy and moist. Best night out I've had in a while. Thankyou to frankie for the food!

We popped in on a Friday night and at first weren't sure if we'd stay. I'm glad we did as the food was excellent as was the service. The sausage and mash maybe be a classic but it was done really well with a fab onion gravy.

We were staying in Warwick for the night and came across this place by chance. Needed somewhere dog friendly and had GF options. This was the most perfect find ever! The staff were all amazing, they couldnt have been cheerier or more helpful. Really knowledgeable on the menu and allergens which I appreciated. The burger that was on special that night was probably the best burger I have ever had !

The wig is my favourite pub in Warwick. Just been in for Sunday dinner with the family. Food is top drawer. Simple but done very very well. Beer selection is excellent too

Great food,delicious and would not hesitate to return.Chris the general manager needs a special mention as he made sure we had a great time. All food for mains and dessert were excellent the drinks of lager and a fruit cider were delicious too.🙂👏👍
