Great food. Great music. Great people

Cruzcampo is £6.20 for a pint in what is effectively a student pub. I ordered the Peri chicken which was £13. Not expecting anything flash but the chicken was overcooked and tough and the garlic bread was like a rock. You only get 1 piece of chicken and 1 small piece of garlic bread by the way. This was on Sunday 25th August whoever the chef is needs a new job because he is impersonating a cook and I wouldn't trust them to make me beans on toast. Pay for the overpriced beer if you want but honestly do yourself a favour and avoid the food.

The Clarendon is officially dead, once rated 5/5, now 2/5 is probably generous. The quality is now comparable if not slightly better than whetherspoons. Once one of my favourite pubs the new owners have ruined it, and clearly the locals agree because the place is dead. No more craft beer, unless you count neck oil as craft (I don't). The food has gone down significantly in quality and the price has gone up.

The manager of this place is rude and unpleasant. Good atmosphere during sports events, decent pub , and nice bar staff. However, the management is not welcoming or hospitable at all.

I've never received such great customer service in my life and the food was amazing. Will deffinatley be coming here again.

Just took the wife for a quick beer, great selection, monika was a great server, but the beer was rank. We had a moretti and a Beavertown Gamma Ray for £13.70, both tasted horrible, metallic mouldy line taste. Wouldn’t go again

Don't book to watch sport here, make you book an hour before the game then half of the TVs don't work anyway.

Pretty boring if I'm honest, the food I wanted was out of stock then paid a ridiculous amount of money for average nachos.

Gone right down the pan in recent years, don't bother coming here, £7.35 a pint of generic 'craft' beer, tiny portions of food, unfriendly, unknowledgeable staff. There's so many better places in Leamington these days.

Amazing friendly pub, was served by a lady called Lynda who made us feel very welcome along with the other young lady that was with her working. Will definitely visit again .

For burgers, tasty fries, wings etc The Clarendon does very well. Tasty American style food mixed with sports (multiple matches at any onetime). Great atmosphere and the pool tables were a bonus (albeit the cues were a little past their best).

Went for a Saturday afternoon bottomless brunch, unfortunately all the reviews I read were amazing (4.6/5) but our experience didn't live up to those, not even close! Very average food served cold, and drinks were ok but not great cocktails and way too much soda water in everything we ordered. Decor isn't great and the TVs were set very loud on the F1 which we really didn't want to watch, but couldn't hear ourselves talk. Overall disappointing and won't return.

Tried contacting the Clarendon to hire their private room. Send a booking request online around 3 weeks ago. No response. Emailed 2 weeks ago. No response. Called today and the lady I spoke to interrupted me and put me through to a number I already said I didn't want to be transferred to. Clearly do not want to accommodate private bookings which is a shame as I'm sure my group would have spent a lot of money there too!

We had a fantastic time having our 2 hour bottomless brunch here! We both had chicken burgers with chips which were tasty and good size and then had a variety of cocktails as well as gin and tonics! The service was great! Highly recommend

Went for drinks with a few friends to the Clarendon on Thursday, could not recommend the place more if I tried. Fantastic atmosphere, great choice of crafts which were half price that particular day, lovely service and we all felt extremely safe with current restrictions throughout our stay. Will definitely be returning!

On Sunday night I was part of a 31-person group that held a university event at the clarendon pub. We pre-ordered food and pre-agreed prices but when we can to pay we were charged a different amount. We pointed this out to them but they refused to resolve the issue. We were initially told that they could not give us a receipt because the machine was broken. However, when we said we would not pay without one they magically fixed it and gave us one. Also, the manager (Adam) threatened to call the police and report us to our university. Our society will not be returning to his venue after such an unpleasant experience and would recommend others avoid it too.

Last week we ran a 31 person university event at the pub. We agreed the food package via e-mail first but when we came to pay we were overcharged and the manager (Adam) threatened to call the police and report us personally to our university if we didn’t pay. In addition he initially stated he couldn’t give us a receipt, only finding a way to produce one when we insisted we wouldn’t pay without one. Our society will never be returning and we would recommend groups avoid at all costs.

The food was delicious, as were the craft beers and ciders, but the cleanliness of the place left a bit to be desired. The music was too loud. It has good deals such as Wing Wednesdays and Tequila Tuesdays. I imagine it would be great for groups of friends looking to get drunk, but not appropriate for dates or other groups who want intimate conversations. The staff were polite. Table service would be nice.

Staying at Lemington Spa this weekend and wanted to find a pub with football and decent food and this place fitted the bill and has great reviews. I called up and spoke to Linda who was so helpful with picking me a table, advice on parking and a guide on the town - what a credit to the business. If the food is half as good as her service we will have a good evening. Thank you Linda

Used to be good but beware the patronizing and pretentious bar staff

This is a sports pub plane and simple. Reasonable selection of craft ales, including some Purity beers from just down the road in Alcester. The food is ok, but the main reason I've visited this place is to watch the sports. They always have the decent games on. And whilst it is really NOTHING fancy....good place to have a beer and watch the footy.

The bar staff were great, especially Adam, who looked after us all evening. Thanks also to Linda, who dealt with our details during the day about what time the food and cake would come out. The kitchen staff laid on the most fantastic food, slider burgers, mini fish & chips, nachos, tacos, there was loads of it. So much, we gave a lot to some lovely grateful students! The atmosphere was just how I wanted it, chilled, relaxed and a great vibe. I'd recommend this place for any function any time. 10/10

Booked a table 3 weeks ahead, inadvertently put the wrong date after paying £10 deposit. Realised my mistake straight away and sent a message the same day to change it, they got back to me 2 days later to change it but they couldn't offer me the time I wanted as there was a rugby match on. They refused to return my £10 deposit even though they had 3 weeks notice as it was 'company policy' I could understand if I had cancelled a few days before but not this far ahead. I would of booked again at some point but I'll go elsewhere now. Disappointing!

Eng v Sam RWC - at least 80 + people in here, two bar staff serving, management should have better contingency plan sorted should staff not turn up, disappointing.

Great food, drinks and service from Lynda

Visited midweek with work colleagues staying in the area,we wanted a Poole table,watch the Champions league have quality burger and reasonably priced beer. We got all that from one table plus the bonus of polite attentive staff,a quiz and a friendly atmosphere. Also a huge thank you to staff who picked up and returned a mobile phone left behind from our group.

For some reason annoying quiz bloke’s microphone is unreasonably loud and he talks some crap every 4mins I have come up with the most genius business plan; silent disco, but for pub quizzes.

Had a fantastic evening watching the RWC, the food & service was excellent. Would like to say Linda was extremely friendly & helpful. Will be returning soon.

This bar was great to visit. We went on a Thursday and were pleasantly surprised to find the entire cocktail menu was available at £3.50 per cocktail which is unheard of in Leamington! Needless to say we took advantage and had some great drinks. The bar manager was very chatty and welcoming, willing to talk about the bars history and would check in to see if everything was ok for us. The other bar staff were also friendly and helpful answering any and all questions. If you're the pub games sort you are well taken care of here with pool tables and other favourites. Very nice interior with quirky decor and styling. Would highly recommend this bar overall.

Great pub, with loads of big screen tvs, so great for sports. Great atmosphere and the staff are amazing, we even saw Ben Foster spend the evening in the pub.

Came to the Clarendon last night to do the quiz, It was a great atmosphere and really busy, Pete was amazing and nothing was to much trouble even though it was really busy.

Pub was really nice, Really good food, Good pints, Pete was really attentive, Looked after us on our night out.

Had a lovely visit here, the team were so lovely especially Dan who was so friendly and welcoming. Food was really nice and will definitely be back at some point.

Great value Bottomless brunch, there was 15 of us so kept Adam who served us on his toes. He kept the prosecco flowing and kept up with all our crazy cocktail requests. Amazing food and good atmosphere

Regularly visit the Clarendon due to its excellent quality food and drinks, great prices, friendly staff, and all round good vibes. Last night I lost my bag and the excellent service from Linda far exceeded my expectations as she helped me recover it and saved me a lot of stress. Thank you!!

Great pub for sport, nice beers on tap and a few games of pool. Atmosphere is great and live music on a Saturday too. Food is the only area for improvement. Quite pricey for something quite average. Whilst good variety on the menu, the quality is letting it down.

Don't come here for burgers, came out after 5 minutes, clearly microwaved and a sloppy mess that just barely matches the description. In no way worth the £14 it's listed at on the menu. Go to Libertine instead it's cheaper, even with the deal (thats raised in price), its round the corner and they actually cook the burger properly. Only reason to come here is the cheap pints on Thursday. Won't be eating here again 😑 Update: My stomach is now upset so I'm lowering my rating too one star. And I won't be calling you to resolve this, you had your chance and you failed.

Great student / sports pub. Definitely on the expensive side, but the Wednesday pub quiz makes up for it, which is the best I have ever attended! Would recommend!

I was in The Clarendon on Saturday 08/04/23 for a works night out and the night, atmosphere and service was fantastic and I would just like to mention the lovely bar tender called Paige, I lost a sentimental ring and asked her if she could take my details and let me know if they find it. About 5 minutes later Paige came over to me with my ring that she found on the floor in the toilets so she must have gone off looking for it for me! You really went above and beyond to help me Paige THANK YOU!

Don't really get this place. It's a decent set up for a sports bar but the drinks are just way too expensive. A pint of beer seems to be around £1-£1.50 more than most other places in Leam (NeckOil was £7.30!!). Prevents me returning.

Fine. However they promoted Cheltenham races to be shown on the TV but then failed to show the last two races. Even after complaining an being told it would be shown. I’d have gone elsewhere if they’d been honest about their coverage.

I've lived in Leamington for quite some years and tragically I have never been to the clarendon 🫠 having gone quite recently I just want to keep going back!! Warm and bright vibe, very friendly bar staff and plenty of room to sit! My favourite aspect has to be the cocktail tower 😍 I am absolutely in love with it!! The prices are high but on par with other upscale bars in Leamington and the quality is good :) definitely would go back!! Maybe for food this time 😂

Stag night for 12, great location, fantastic atmosphere, amazing food, great service, incredibly friendly and welcoming team with truly incredible value for money.
