Loved this place, popped in with my wife once and also by myself after a long train journey before heading home. Very impressed with the manager (well I think he was) asked if he had any single malt whisky for a dram and he knew his stuff, and it was extremely reasonable pricewise which was a nice surprise (I tend to expect whisky to be more expensive in England compared to Scotland but has not been the case since I've moved) Beer and Lager really good, Tap's obviously looked after, and had the vibe of well natured regulars. Will be back

Visiting Loughborough but know it. Straight off the bus and into the Nuns at lunchtime for a quick drink. Serving a superb Everard pint of Old Original. Then fancied food as the pub was relaxed and very clean. Prices & options good, food superb too. Friendly helpful staff. Had a2 similar meal and drinks in The Wetherspoons recently, this cost under £3 more. No contest. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. THE THREE NUNS.

Standard pub grub, made well, at pre-pandemic prices - absolutely no complaints from me! It's a long way from fine dining, but if you just want a filling simple meal this is better quality than a 'spoons, with a friendly atmosphere to boot.

I love this pub!Traditional pub food, great prices and portion sizes. Always greeted with a smile, especially from Sam the barmaid. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Saturday nights are a must!! Live band on every Saturday night and it's free entry! Yes FREE entry!! How many places do you know that put on live music and don't charge you to get in? For those that complain about the size of the pub, frankly you want your bumps feeling! Size really isnt everything... I personally am more than happy to go out alone and head to the Nuns... the regulars always make you feel welcome and there is such a great atmosphere in there. In short I would always recommend the Three Nuns whether it's for lunch and a good old gossip with your friends or a rock solid night of beer, banter and live music on a Saturday night. Having heard & read excellent reviews of the Three Nuns, we opted to give it a go. Food was excellent. My wife ad her favourite, cod & chips and I had lasagne with salad & garlic bread. Never had garlic bread like it, a small baguette, cut into four and loaded with garlic sauce. Fantastic! Both servings were ample, so much so, that neither of us could finish them. Value for money, it has to be said. The only downside was that the plates were stone cold. Can't say if this was a one off, but a fault easily corrected. Would definitely go again.

Having visited many times before we knew what to expect when we paid a Wednesday evening visit to this pub. Its a pity that Everards have stopped publishing the menus for their pubs recently, but we knew that we would find plenty to choose from. I had sausage, new potatoes and peas for the first time (£6.95) with extra onion rings. It came with lots of gravy and I asked for mint sauce which was provided without problems. The onion rings here I rate among the best locally because they cook them properly and don't leave them soggy, so I always have them. The 'special' was "small" gammon, chips and beans fpr £4-00 which two of our party had - I would have said the gammon steak they had was definitely larger than "small" and gave them plenty to eat. Our other member had carved ham with chips and beans (£6.95)

After time in queens Park and a wander round the town we asked in a cafe which didn't do lunches if they could recommend somewhere. She sent us to the nuns. The menu was quite extensive but it turned out they could only serve the Sunday roast . You could have a mix of Four meats. The meat was tasty but the veggies were a bit bland and I suspect they were tinned. Nevertheless it was a decent meal and there was plenty of it. We moved to the outside area to have our puddings which were delicious and only £2.00.Top marks to the staff who were all friendly and pleasant. Especially the blond haired one who took our order. I came with my wife to Loughborough and we decided to eat at The Three Nuns again. We have always been treated as though we were the only people there, such is the superb customer service. Once again, the food was superb and delivered with a smile. It is a wonder you don't have to book in advance, but generally you can find a table.

Following friends recommendation we went to Three Nuns for lunch today. Food was freshly prepared, delicious and excellent value for money. The barman was a very pleasant young man - friendly and helpful. The pub/restaurant itself was very clean with a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitively return very soon!!

Came here with family and were served with dirty glasses. Tried to complain, but was simply ignored. It's never happened before but on this occasion I felt let down.

I have had my lunch her many times over the last few years the price and quality of the home cooked food is faultless, I've refrained from reviewing this establishment because it's been my little secret but as its a DIAMOND of a place it's only fair that people are told.

We were hungry and looking for somewhere to eat. We peered through various windows and at menus and opted for the Three Nuns. We were not disappointed, all very clean and friendly. Good selection of real ales with a food menu to match covering most tastes. I choose the Ploughman's FAB. Husband choose Sweet and Sour Chicken which he enjoyed. Would recommend this pub well worth a visit and if we are in Loughborough again would go back.

Joking about Landlord , he probably has indigestion. Proper Pub Real Ales - probably best pint of Everards Tiger in Town. Good for food , Ploughmans is really well priced around 6.50- I think, but Karen ( Grumpys wife) will do you a Ploughmans with a " bit of everything" i.e Real mature sharp cheddar, Proper slices of real ham not processed rubbish and a good pate, for the normal price Bread warm , salad coleslaw etc, would recomend it all day long, Its a pub its pub fare, but good honest grub served by good staff, just off high street not far from Job centre. If your in town or passing through worth a visit

Proper little pub away from the run of the mill chains in loughborough. A few minutes off the town centre but worth seeking out! Good honest home cooked food and good beer selection! Can get busy for food but worth the wait which you are always told about before you order! Friendly and welcoming staff, good mixture of ages and dont be scared to ask for a sample of an ale if you are not sure!! A gem amongst a sea of bog standard chain pubs!

Went as a table of 6 on a Saturday evening. It was a busy evening and didn't feel there were enough staff on as they were all doing bar and table service and there were long waits between courses. They were polite, friendly and attentive. Did also find that we had to wait for cutlery after the food was delivered. The food was great to be fair and would happily go again. The only issue with the food was the price of the deserts. Am afraid £8.95 for a small slice of cheesecake was excessive. Overall a decent experience with a little room for improvement
