34 diners on a Friday night with a pre-ordered dinner. The Three crowns were really helpful during the planning and allergy issues. Tables were beautiful laid and as I had asked altogether for cosines. Everyone said how marvellous to cope with a large number and each dish was great. Waiting staff were helpful and unobtrusive too.

Went there with the family on Friday and I had the steak which I can highly recommend! We also ordered the burger and cod which the rest of the family really enjoyed. The atmosphere and service was friendly and we were really welcomed! So much we booked a roast for Sunday which was delicious. Definitely will be coming back!

We didn’t book for Sunday roast so just turned up. Had to wait about 5 minutes before being acknowledged. Eventually they said “I’ll try” to find a table for you. We sat in the restaurant where drink and food order taken within 5 minutes. Two tables next to us arrived and ordered after and were served their food before us. After waiting 50 minutes our food turned up. Well…. Pork was 90% fat so I said I wasn’t happy and was given another portion (which wasn’t that much better) …. No apology just excuse that pork is fatty!!!! Went to pay bill (they charged me for a child’s meal) and still no apology (I know it’s not the waitressing fault but they should at least acknowledge rather than have an excuse that pork is fatty)!!! Will not be going back.

We were a party of 6 for sunday lunch upon arrival we were shown to our table, lady at front of house was friendly and efficient . Our table was presented well with flowers and complimentery bottle of water. We all ordered roast dinner either belly pork or beef, we didn't wait long for food to be served and it came lovely and hot on warm plates, we all agreed that the food was delicious and plenty of it. The only negative and it is only personal opinion and that is the gravy would have been better served seperately {not everyone likes gravy}. The three crowns has a lovely atmosphere with friendly efficient staff, would recommend

Family of 7 met for Sunday lunch to celebrate an 88th birthday. Pub almost empty at 2pm but we still waited 20minutes to order drinks. Then an hour before food arrived. Staff arguing and shouting in the kitchen. I had ordered fish which was supposed to be sole but certainly wasn't. Saute potatoes not sauted and seasonal vegetables consisted of a scoop of cabbage Cauliflower cheese was an extraordinary mess, some sort of glow in the dark cheese topped dreadful reheated cauli.Others had grey beef with overcooked veg.Apparently the Yorkshire puds were acceptable. A dismal experience did tell the staff but no comment was made. Sad because at 88 we don't know how many birthdays our relative has and we wanted him to have a treat.

Gave this place benefit of the doubt after a terrible meal back in August 2023. Will not be going back. Cost me £95 for a burger and soggy chips, coleslaw with more mayo than veg (was good for dunking in the soggy chips!) 5 prawns on soggy ciabatta and a few drinks. I did complain about it at the end but they just said ‘oh’ I took off the service charge and went. It’s a real shame as this place has so much potential but they cannot get it right!

This was our second visit to this great pub in the beautiful area of Ashurst Wood. It was Father's Day and what a charming occasion it was to eat there! Nick, who took the reservation on the telephone, was very professional and friendly. The food was excellent: very good choice of starters and main course, and great desserts. We truly indulged, and dad was even presented with a lovely mug when we left, as a present for Father's Day! Totally recommend for a nice day or evening out.

Whats going on ? We made a booking for lunch but on arrival were not shown to a table but pointed in a vague direction. We were given menus and, despite there only being 7 other customers seated, we waited 40 minutes before we then asked if we could order some drinks. Having placed our order for food and drink at the same time, we were told, after a further 20 minutes that there was no soup, which we had ordered. Having been seated for 1 hour 30 minutes three of our meals arrived (the vegetables with the fish pie were inedible - carrots black and green beans really hard). After asking where the fourth meal was, we were told that there had been a problem with the ordering system and had not been included - it took another 25 minutes to arrive. All in all a very disappointing experience!

We came for Sunday lunch; we have been before and it is always good and this time we were not disappointed. The staff are lovely and very friendly and the meal was delicious. I do find the portions to be rather large which can be a little over whelming. However, next time I will ask not to have mash with roast potatoes. Of course, that is only me, and lots of people would prefer large portions; you can't please everyone! It's a lovely pub and we will be back.

Went to The Three Crowns just yesterday, what a warm welcome, all the staff were really friendly and accommodating. Prompt service, lovely food and a relaxed (didn’t feel rushed) atmosphere. The manager also popped by our table a couple of times for a friendly chat and check everything was ok. This was our first visit and certainly won’t be our last. Pub garden looked great too shall look forward to visiting that too! Thanks to everyone for a great experience!

I have been meaning to write this review for a long time so sorry for the delay! I was greeted by a lovely girl called Lauren who I believe was the manager. She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for me and my family for the whole time we were there and left such a nice impression on me. In terms of the food, the Sunday roast here really is a true delight. The meats are perfectly cooked, accompanied by fluffy Yorkshire puddings and golden roast potatoes.

I'm sorry to say this was so disappointing as we had booked a meal as a birthday celebration. It started when we walked in and were asked for the booking details and the girl asking mispronounced the name and exhibited an appalling attitude. It was shocking and could be considered racist which is something I've not seen like this for some time. Despite having a young child we had to ask for a child menu The food was poor and felt like some of it had been prepared so far in advance it had become somewhat soggy Due to the attitude and behaviour we didn't stay for a dessert. They had the audacity to add the service charge automatically to the bill. I always thought a service charge was an option for the customer to assess the quality of the meal and service and determine what to pay (or not)

Disappointed! A local pub, been before on a musical evening with a friend for food, had great service and good food. This time with family for Sunday lunch. The welcome was lack lustre, almost unfriendly. Other tables had a different experience, friendly, warm. The food was good in part and poor in part. We decided not to stay for dessert as it felt uncomfortable.

Always on the lookout for a good Sunday lunch - and decided to try this pub after reading some of the reviews. The pub itself is lovely (with clean bathrooms, very important!) and was still busy when we wandered in at 3. Decided to skip starters and go straight for the main event and although they’d run out of lamb, we both had beef, so that wasn’t an issue. The food though. The food. Humungous portions of perfect veg, succulent beef, cauliflower cheese (which I don’t like, but was lovely!), and delicious gravy. Really, really good. The chef kept popping out to check on things, apologise for the lack of lamb (we should’ve turned up earlier, to be fair), and the serving staff were just present enough. I normally don’t like the service charge being added on, but am very glad it was here (the extra glass of wine may have led me to forget otherwise….). Definitely definitely worth visiting, and we’ll be back very soon.

We went to the Three Crowns, very much our local - about 150m from our front door, to try their Sunday lunch and check out their new Head Chef Vinny. By the time we arrived -1345 - the place was already filling up with parties of varying sizes. Drinks were ordered and arrived and we were asked for our order. This comprised of 1 pie of the day - steak and mushroom, which was pronounced as delicious, together with 3 trios of roast meats (beef, lamb and pork) Again these were excellently cooked and very tasty with accompanying veg and homemade Yorkshires. We count ourselves very lucky to live so close to our local, both for excellent food and a great welcome

My coffee experience failed at the first hurdle. £4.95 for a flat white. A coffee that could be "enjoyed" over looking a dusty car park, or from a hard looking interior with no atmosphere whatsoever. This is just nonsense. From two previous experiences I had looked forward to sitting on the balcony overlooking the vineyard. What a let down. I believe it is a legal requirement for traders to display prices. Then is none on show for consumers to make an informed decision.

Just paid £4.40 for a pint of apple juice poured straight from the carton. When enquired further I was told in a one word answer inflation from the bar keep. After a second look at the menu apple juice doesn't have a price nor labeled on the menu. Just make sure you enquire the price before ordering anything.
