The Tavern in Sedgemoor

Pub number 9 of the pub crawl! Good proper job IPA. Dog friendly, no Malibu sadly… Overall good visit albeit a little quiet

We came away for our annual holiday and love an evening in The Tavern. The food arrived piping hor and super fast, the staff are so lovely especially important Izzy! There are evening shows during the summer holidays and just an all round wonderful atmosphere. Dj Phil Stevens was the best host of the evening and made us all feel so welcome at all times!

Just had a lunch in this vastly overpriced dump! Never again! The food was so overcooked & bland i think even pigs would have rejected it! It was terrible, and very expensive! Queuse were massive as not enough staff on. Avoid this place like the plague, its terrible.

The carvery is awful. All the veg was so hard even the roast potatoes fork wouldn't go in. The meat was the best thing . But not worth £14 . Spoilt our day also got charged £4.99 for a 17 month old food of meat and mash won't be back. Been going for the last 15 years . They need to try eat what they serve.

Fantastic food, we had four meals, and drinks for four people for under £80, very reasonable, and the staff were very friendly and very helpful, service was excellent. Also as a foot note we forgot one of our devices a this venue, we contacted them about they sorted it out and we were able to pick it up straight away

Had a lovely meal. Great value for money and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back

Popped in for a quick drink, got served & then a young girl came ova & told us to leave as ther wer darts on & blantonly told us not to go bk in again she was so rude!! Will never go again

We always enjoy coming to the tavern for food, drinks, and entertainment when visiting brean. However, we went for breakfast and was disappointed at the service we received. We waited ages for hot drinks to be made, to then be handed a stone cold hot chocolate, which then took ages to be replaced. Staff seemed very slow and unenthusiastic. However, once we got our breakfasts, it was tasted lovely.

Just like to say I had a bbq pulled pork wrap with chips and side salad. It was the best wrap I have ever had. The amount of filling was amazing and so full of taste. Very big too. Would highly recommend.

My family and I were staying at a nearby BnB in Brean for two of nights and we went to the Tavern on both of them - the entertainment for the kids is second-to-none. The host of the evening, "Captain Crumble" was really funny - a proper old school entertainer who had the kids eating out of his hand (not literally!) - even as an adult I can say that I was entertained - he's really quite hilarious and his games are engaging for the children (mine are 9 and 12). Activities included Bingo, kids' games and live music ( a Wurzels tribute act and a great female vocalist, Hayley, were both great - the latter mingled with guests and took requests). We only had food once, on the second visit, and it was really nice. Both my wife and I had the chicken Caesar salad and it was plentiful and very tasty - great value for money considering the size of the portion. I had some Guinness - the young lady who served me told me she was great pouring it and she wasn't lying - it was perfect. Attempts by her colleagues were excellent too. In fact, given how busy the place was (our visit coincided with half term) they were never less than pleasant and accommodating during both visits. All in all, we had a lovely time and plan to go back over the summer.

My family and I came here this week for a fun day out and some quality family time we happened to coke across the tavern in brean we popped in for some late lunch around 4pm it was fairly busy, we sat down in this lovely venue ordered our food from the sweetest kindest young girl called Amber she helped us out massively due to my children being fussy and having a few allergies. When the food arrived there were some wrong pieces on there so we went back up and spoke to Amber she was very apologetic and accommodating for us which made the whole experience 1000x better. Another young lovely lady working there Christina sorted out our wrong food and got it all sorted out for us brought us over our right food asked if there was anything else she could do for us but by then we were so grateful and happy with the service we had received from those two wonderful workers we didn’t need anything else. They are a credit to the tavern and made the whole experience amazing! Well done amber and Christina! Will be coming back again!

They seriously need to look in to kitchen cooking standards.. 2 lots of cheese and chips and one had peas in it and the other had cress in ... Alot of cross contamination in prep area ..not very good at all ..

This has to be one of the best breakfast locations in the whole of the County the prices are incredibly cheap the service is incredibly immaculate and the staff are so incredibly friendly in fact you can come in after waking up on the wrong side of the bed and leaving as if you won the lottery because that is how friendly the staff are at this location the duty manager who does the breakfast I got the read the best laugh on the planet I don't think there is anybody that he cannot cheer up what a talent

Dillon! Dillon! Dillon! Such a lovely person served me a few times for my latte, he was always polite and took time to talk to us but, most importantly he saved my spring rolls, these werent cheap and it was pouring down with rain and he made sure they were safe from any water damage! No spring roll should be soggy and because of him they remained lovely warm and crispy and they were the best spring rolls ive had and they were from the noodle bar opposite the coffee shop. As for the tavern, we have been to brean many times now and this is the first time we have been in the tavern, we enjoyed every minute the kids entertainment (cant remember his name) was brilliant my kids loved it and also the kids bingo which my daughter managed to win the cuddly toy cow, it made her day. Overall we love brean theres not much to do but we are happy spending our days in the arcade and now the tavern. I know at busy times the staff are under a lot of pressure but we have never had any bad experience from any of the staff. The tavern is a great place to eat the staff are friendly and happy to help Shaun the manger is always happy and has a smile every day .

Web site informs you to visit, and is open… no it’s not. Hasn’t been since Monday (apparently) traveled especially to have Breakfast… They point you to visit the “coast”cafe, and bar.. by a sign on the doors… Don’t bother.. food is tuff, and not pleasant..

The entertainment, DJ and interactive quiz here are all really good but the food service is very poor and rubbish value for money. Our food order had been left standing due to an error on a cashiers part over our table number, we were then rudely shouted at by who we took was the head waitress when she brought out our "freshly cooked" replacement order (as this only took 3 minutes there is no way that food was freshly done) and then the final straw was then finding a hair in my food .. that was dealt with swiftly by a manager but the whole experience, especially by the waitress put a damper on our evening so we left The Tavern earlier than planned.
