Llamado un par de veces . . . comida fresca cocinada de buena calidad y un buen precio, el personal es muy amable y les encantan los perros sin duda en mi lista de lugares para comer (Sparkles the Daschound también quedó impresionado con el personal amable)

Por capricho fuimos aquí en nuestra última mañana en Scarborough después de tomar un poco de desayuno menos que decepcionante en otro lugar. Ojalá hubiéramos ido aquí en nuestra primera mañana como habríamos estado de vuelta cada mañana! El personal era amable y acogedor, el café (café con leche grande) era encantador y el desayuno cocinado estaba en el lugar. Los precios no eran mucho más que un desayuno wetherspoons pero a una calidad mucho más alta. Sin duda volveremos en nuestro próximo viaje a scarborough.

En Scarborough con nietos adultos y en busca de un almuerzo ligero - se encontró con este establecimiento - excelente servicio amable de personal muy joven con sentido del humor - comida de buena calidad y servido rápidamente - que bueno que volvimos al día siguiente - defo regresará la próxima vez en la ciudad. Cerca de parada de autobús a North Bay.

Pedimos el almuerzo que tardó aproximadamente media hora en llegar. Cuando llegó no había cubiertos sacados y tuvimos que volver a la zona de labranza para conseguir algunos, esta es la primera vez que he experimentado que me sirven comida sin los medios para comerla. No estaba ocupado, así que no había excusa para eso. Y teniendo en cuenta que costó £ 25 por la comida NO me impresionó Mi consejo sería visitar una de las tiendas de pescado y patatas fritas más adelante en la carretera.

Lovely spot near Luna park My bacon Butty was one of the best I've had. Nice breadcake and really tasty bacon cooked well. Tea was good as well

Great food good , staff very friendly great little spot for a bite to eat .. shall return , to enjoy more food

Visited nearly every day on our visit to Scarborough, staff are very friendly and helpful. Had the charcuterie board one lunchtime and it was plentiful and good quality. Good range of well kept drinks & the girls really looked after our little Border Terrier. Would definitely reccomend and return.

Popped in here for a light lunch. Food was hot and well presented. Decent choice to pick from. Staff all seemed to be polite and served us quite quickly.

Avoid if you're vegetarian or have a food intolerance. Staff VERY rude. Literally rolling eyes at me when asked about different food options.

This is a lovely cafe. Visited a few times while on holiday in Scarborough. The food was fresh and well presented, lots of choice. Also licensed. Dog friendly. The staff were very friendly and efficient. A lovely spot to sit in the sunshine enjoying the views and watching the world go by. It also had inside area for the not so good days. Would highly recommend

Lovely place. Had a fish finger sandwich, this was well presented with a side salad and pot of homemade tartare sauce. The bread was lovely and soft and contained 3 large, tasty beautifully cooked fish fingers. Delicious. Polite and friendly staff and good food. Will definitely be coming back again.

We sat here for a good few hours on the rooftop with fantastic views and sunshine, several pints, wines and soft drinks and delicious Bailey's coffees later we will definitely be back on our next visit. Fantastic location next to a walk to the castle and views to die for. The 2 ladies serving were fantastic and do an amazing job. Great selection of beers, wines, cocktails coffees and soft drinks it's a must try.

Fab little cafe, great location for watching the world go by. The staff are friendly and covid measures are in place. The upstairs bar is a great addition with amazing views.

Called for a coffee. We waited at the entrance as indicated by the sign. A young girl came and asked how many of us there was. Did we want food? We said no, then asked for our drink order before we had even entered he cafe. Took us to our table. The coffee arrived quickly but it was absolutely steaming hot and nothing but slightly flavoured frothy milk. Tasted like instant coffee. Not impressed at all.

Dog friendly outside, opposite Luna Park so noisy (if that bothers you) Lunch - fish n chips - chips from packet, not great. Some staff good, others not. Baked potato with homemade chilli - chilli goid but mean serving of that and of the coleslaw (about a tbsp!) Cheeseburger doesn’t come with chips either. Just a few annoying bits really - and payment taken before food arrived…mm

Such a hidden treasure. The bacon is worth the trip alone. Clean, bright, friendly staff and great coffee!!

Recommended to try here by some friends who come regularly. Really impressed. Warm and friendly welcome. Perfect place to people watch with a drink. The delicious sharing boards are a must.

This is a lovely cafe with sea views from its terrace, in a great location, opposite the harbour & by the path leading up to the castle.

The Roof Top Bar is such a welcome change of venue to Scarborough. An upmarket bar with fabulous views of the harbour. The bar offers excellent service, a good variety of beer and gins and delicious sharing platters. A must for visitors and locals alike.

We regularly visit the sunrise cafe and really enjoy. After months of admiring the roof top terrace we thought we'd have a change.. Wow what a mistake that was talk about lady with attitude!! From the off we didn't like her dimina. Not a nice experience and certainly will not return. Also did not bring our change back we had to ask for it as we were leaving. Bad service!

We visited before and after a walk up to the castle on an unexpectedly warm afternoon in September. We had a beer the first time and then stopped off again for and ice cream. The outdoor seating was nice, but what gets this place a five star review is the meticulous way the young staff cleaned the tables after every customer and the similar approach to the toilets. It seems odd for this to be so important, but at the moment it is and we felt they were taking safety and cleanliness very seriously.

I visited here on 12 Aug 2020 with my wife and 2 son's. We sat on the new roof terrace and had drinks, the service was excellent, they have a nice variety of beer and soft drinks, I could have happily stayed there all day enjoying the views.

Great to be able to sit down and have the best bacon butty in town. This is a great cafe to people watch positioned in the middle of North and South Bay. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the owners have put a lot of effort in to make it a welcoming cafe. The upstairs bar will be an excellent place to have a nice cold beer whilst enjoying the panoramic view of the harbour and sea. Great vision by the owners.

This is one of my favourite cafes to visit. The staff are friendly and are doing a wonderful job at keeping the place clean. The food is delicious and there is a good variety to choose from, there is also a good selection of alcoholic drinks. I had a fungi panini and my husband had a bacon sandwich, the owner told us they were building an extra bar upstairs which will be a nice addition to the cafe.

After a walk around the headland I stopped here for a mug of tea, I also had a Chocolate Orange flapjack, very tasty. The girl behind the counter greeted me with a smile and had a very pleasant personality

It was so nice to be able to sit outside in February in the winter sunshine and this cafe is the place to do just that. We had hot chocolate and a coffee, it was cash only and we didn't have enough money for food!! They have a bar and we can't wait to call again in summer for a nice cold beer!!

Love this cafe... Situated on the point under castle between South a North Bays.When the sun shines in the morning this is the place to be sat on the terrence. Reasonably priced and good quality Sausages, bacon and free range eggs. I had the full breakfast this morning at £6.50...think that included my tea.... My wife had scrambled eggs on toast at £4....we usually sit on the terrace but sat inside today very pleasant. Only down side is lack of rest room as your directed to public pay facilities across the road at 40p.Been meaning to write a review for some time as visited many times..... Most customers are clearly locals in the know!

Lovely little cafe,if the sun's out it shines on you here,good slightly elevated spot opposite the north end of the harbour,great value down to earth prices and lovely bacon butties with teapot of tea or pot of coffee (plus other food),spotlessly clean and efficient staff,will return on our next visit,well done,great place in the competition of cafes in lovely Scarborough

Stopped at The Sunshine Cafe today for breakfast. The terrace had quite a few customers enjoying their tea's and coffees and the majority of them appeared locals which is always a good sign.Our food of a bacon and egg roll and 2 fried eggs on toast was good. The eggs were beautifully fresh and clearly free range. Two mugs of tea were enjoyed too.Friendly staff and good banter was supplied to make this good experience.

Well you can't come to Scarborough and not have fish and chips so that is exactly what we had for lunch whilst in Scarborough for the day. What a good choice of eatery, the fish was very fresh and cooked perfectly and the chips were the best I have had for a long time. The staff were cheerful and friendly

Great full English breakfast, fresh, hot, best quality breakfast I’ve ever had. The thick cut bacon and perfect scrambled eggs we a win for me. Very clean and friendly place. I would highly recommend. Will be back!

Went for a light lunch. We both had butternut squash soup. It was home made and delicious. Homemade fried onion bits on top were lovely. Friendly efficient service.

An excellent clean and professional small café which we think is the best in Scarborough. A small friendly, professional team run the café with it`s great menu and delicious food from its varied menu. Thank you!

Had toasties and drinks for 3 people service was fast and food was very hot so good all round would use again

Can't big this place up enough! Been coming here since it was just a hole in the wall and it has got better and better over the years adding a glass canopy on the lower terrace with heating in winter, giant umbrellas to keep off the rain or hot sun on the counter level and even a little plain, tiled indoor area where dogs are welcome in all weathers.

This is a lovely little cafe right on the corner serving great food. The breakfast is the best I've eaten in Scarborough. Also had lunch there and was just as good. Nice friendly staff, clean and tidy tables. Will be my number 1 place from now on.

We had a lovely fish and chip dinner it was really fresh and very large lovely cup of tea also friendly service would recommend anyone visiting 👍

We have been going to this café for over seventeen years and it still has the best mug of tea in Scarborough :-)

Whenever we come to Scarborough we always make a point of going to the Sunrise for waffles. Freshly made with lashings of cream and strawberries. Can't beat them. Reasonable value too.

Had a jacket potato with cheese salad etc, but the problem started when it came with just a knife so i went to get a fork from the counter which had a queue waiting to be served, so I put my head thro the open door to the kitchen and asked the waitress, she passed a new set. Before i could hardly withdraw my head a gentleman slammed the door in my face.Charming.

been visiting this café for thirty eight years just wouldn't be the same if we didn't visit whilst on holiday love sitting out in the sun at this place. good value for money and lovely food.

Sorry to say but friendly is a great quality in staff but it can't replace competency which unfortunately I didn't receive from a very young and seemingly relatively inexperienced crew yesterday.

No es una de mis mejores experiencias. Después de comer un buen bocadillo de salchichas y una taza de té, quise hacer uso de las instalaciones. Yo estaba más sorprendido de ser informado que no tenían los baños! ! Y pude usar los servicios públicos que estaban enfrente. Pensé que es una obligación legal para prestar servicios en una establecimiento. Así que por favor sea consciente de esto en este café, ya que hay señales que informe al cliente de falta de inodoros. Uno se pregunta sobre la limpieza del establecimiento? ? . Yo no regresaremos.

Perfectly located at the far end of the South Bay, it's location is somewhat of a sun trap across the road from the road from Luna Park. The cafe had lovely outdoor seating with sun umbrellas and it has a great view of the harbour. The food is tasty, it's very reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and welcoming. You order at the counter and have to collect your own food. Looks like it's a place frequented by locals and tourists alike. I had a burger and chips which tasted good and was presented nicely with salad and accompaniments and there is the usual cafe fare on the menu but other notable things on the menu for being a sea side place were things like seafood platter, lobster and crab salad. Only down side is there is no toilets on the premises and you have to go to the public ones across the road which are decent enough but that facility would definitely make it better.

Great view of the Scarborough front, fast service, reasonable prices, indoor seating if the weather isn't so warm. It's right on the roadside so you have to keep a close eye on the kids.

Visited this cafe for the first time at the weekend, and was pleasantly surprised with the serviced and the quality of the meals we had were very good. I had the steak pie and was surprised by the amount of filling in the pie and the quality of the filling. My wife had the burger and both of us left with empty plates.

I called in for one of their all-day breakfasts. This was freshly cooked with a good helping, there are covered tables outside and an inside area also available. Staff friendly a local business worth supporting

After walking down Marine Drive from North Bay, we were in need of refreshment and stumbled upon this cafe. The ice creams and cakes, particularly the muffins were excellent and were impressed by friendliness of staff. We were so impressed we went back the next day!

This is a perfect café with outdoor seating for either a quick drink or snack or something more filling. I had seafood platter. My husband had omelette, both with salad and chips. With 2 soft drinks this was £14. Excellent value, lovely views, clean tables, friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.

The best bacon sandwiches in Scarborough... if Carlsberg did bacon sandwiches Mark and his friendly staff would be equal. Lightly toasted door stops filled with thick tasty bacon. Frothy coffee to keep it company all at a reasonable price.Plenty of other food on offer all capably cooked and served with a smile. Full marks for continuity of quality over the years I have been going.

Me and my wife popped in for the first time whilst on holiday in June . The staff are very pleasant and the view of the Harbour was great.

Came across this little cafe at the end of South Bay, past the harbour and just at the beginning of marine drive around the headland. Quiet and reasonable priced, tucked away by itself. A nice spot to relax and recoup energy.

We have been visiting Scarborough for a number of years and found this little place about 6 years ago. We regularly go for breakfast and tea (bacon rolls are super) and usually make a stop of 2 for an afternoon cuppa in the sun whilst out and about over the course of our holiday. Mark and his wife are very friendly and make an excellent tea! Always a pleasure to stop by and have a sat in the sun, and sit and watch the happenings at the harbour.

Went for a breakfast at lunchtime and a coffee. Breakfast was freshly and very well cooked bacon was nice and thick not like the micro thin bacon served elsewhere a most enjoyable meal. The coffee was of good quality and served hot. I will be back.

Nice home made beefburger in homemade bread. Not much salad and only a few chips. No waiter service. Left hungry. Not much else to say really.

Went for lunch after reading TripAdvisor reviews. Ok but nothing to write home about. Fish, chips and mushy peas tasty enough but a minow rather than a fish - but what did I expect for £5:80? Get what you pay for I guess. Pleasant enough location and good service.

We call in on our occasional visits to Scarborough and whatever we choose from the menu, it is excellent. And simple. No faff. The beef baguette - the beef ample, always tender with no stringy bits, the bread always fresh and crusty. The mug of tea, freshly made piping hot, strong for me weak for Mrs M. We always get seated in the sun* out of the wind, with our discerning co-diners, watching the tourists and the harbour.* It always seems to be sunny at this corner of the harbour.

We had a fabulous lunch at the Sunrise Cafe, sitting in the sun trap courtyard in January. Beautifully prepared fresh food and excellent value for money with friendly and helpful service. A real find!

My family and i have been visiting Mel and Marks place the sunrise cafe for years.We are always made to feel welcome.nothing is too much trouble if you have a request regarding your meal. We find its a great snacking place.Also if a great tasting full meal is what you require no problem. Mel and Mark have a good varied menu.a great taste of Scarborough.Looking forward to our next visit.

Mark and his team always make you welcome, even when the wind is blowing a gale! Try the chicken and mushroom roll if you are feeling rewally hungry. Seating inside or out, or even under the glass awning...

This is a lovely cafe. The food is always very good and there is a great variety on the menu. The staff are lovely , nothing is too much trouble. The service is very quick. And the view well it's great for watching the world go by. It's a great place to come and relax. Definately worth a visit!!!!
