My friend and I popped in at short notice for tea as we were hungry from frolicking on the Dales. We chose Chilli and Mediterranean Pasta, they were both flavoursome and filling. To top it all, the service was second to none. The gentleman who served us had a smile on his face and was very welcoming and the food arrived promptly. Would highly recommend. Cracking little village pub with good food. Set in the small village of low Bentham this pub is almost hidden away. Driving past, blink and you’ll miss it. According to the web site it’s only open from Thursday to Sunday each week. We visited on a Friday for a bite to eat to eat in the evening. Nice pint of real ale with a decent selection of beers. To eat, I had their special lamb burger. So very tasty and a lot of it. I highly recommend this place if your in the area.

A decent enough pub with good beer. The Eagle IPA was a bit bland. We visited earlier in the week and the pub had a good atmosphere. On this last (Sunday) night visit we were 2 of 6 customers in total so I understand the reluctance to stay open longer than 8.30 pm, but feel a ‘ last orders’ call would be more respectful.

I came here with my boyfriend in the summer for food on our way to a friend's party. We ordered the beef burger and vegetarian burger and both thought they were the best burgers we'd ever had. We made the three hour round-trip again six months later to see if we'd maybe been so hungry we had imagined it, but they were just as good as we had remembered. The landlord and chef were also really friendly. We hope you guys stick around for a long time!

It can't be an easy matter sustaining a small village pub in a small, but very pretty village these day. But thank goodness the Sundial Inn keeps going. We called in the other evening for a few pints and food following a lovely walk along the river Wenning. The welcome was sincere and the beer (from a local brewery) was fresh. Whilst the menu was slightly limited, the food was good. Probably best to book It's a simple but characterful pub which somehow connects with the history of village. The new managers/owners seem to me to have got a lot of things right. And I wish them good luck.

We are currently staying in Low Bentham and decided to take a short walk to the Sundial for a quick drink and some lunch. Unfortunately they weren’t serving lunch due to staff shortages but we were told food would be served after 5pm. We stayed for a couple of drinks and ventured up to the garden. What a sun trap!! Gorgeous afternoon sun, nice, quiet and dog friendly. We returned in the evening for dinner and even though a very limited menu, we couldn’t fault anything. Our pizzas were amazing. Generous size and we were able to take left overs home, which is always a bonus. The staff were super friendly and very easy to have a chat to. Can’t wait to have a few more pints later on in the week.

Lived in low bentham until I was 28. Seen many landlords come and go. Still kept coming down until I moved away 5 years ago. Heard how good it was now. Called in for pint after an average visit to the punch bowl. Sunday afternoon, 2.30pm, and I was the 2nd customer in. No music, no greeting. Beer was ok. Necked my pint coz I felt unwelcome, the barman and only other customer were whispering. Had my 2yr old daughter with me, nobody offered to help with the door (as I'm a stereotypical dad) Said goodbye, to be muttered a 'yeh bye' and off we went...WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED TO LOW BENTHAM???

"Roaring fires! Malt beers! Red meat off the bone!" to quote a line from The Lord of the Rings. That is indeed the hearty welcome that everyone gets as you walk through the door at the Sundial Inn. The pub has come a long way since my first visit in September '16 when the new owners Simon and Sean were just getting established. They had a fine range of draught beer, wines and spirits and classic pub snacks, but were obviously still finding their feet with the place.I returned for a Christmas visit and wow what a transformation!! The pub looked beautiful with its Christmas decorations and lights, there was a brilliant, roaring coal fire and a splendid Norway spruce. Simon was making everyone comfortable chatting away to his guests and clearly enjoying himself. The entertainment was superb, as there was karaoke and dancing. A new section of the pub had been refurbished to make a new dining room, where there was a gorgeous buffet laid out, all home cooked by the chef Sean and his assistant Joan, who took time to explain the dishes to their guests.I returned recently to the Sundial in the early evening of a Saturday, where it was already very busy with local residents and country walkers. It was a great atmosphere. Everybody talks to everybody, there is not the stuffiness of the city here. The range of draught beers and real ale has improved significantly and is incredibly popular, as is the wine selection and a few surprises that you dont see everyday on the spirits shelf. For me, as a non-drinker, the quality and range of soft drinks is important and the guys do not disappoint. They get 10/10 just for having Fentiman's Dandelion & Burdock behind the bar and framed pictures of Sean Connery and Roger Moore in the Gents!!I shall keep coming back to the Sundial where, even as a man from the city, I will always be guaranteed that extra special welcome!Bravo chaps!

We have visited this pub on several occasions as it is a lovely place to walk to from Riverside Caravan Park where we stay. The owner is so friendly and welcoming and so is her super friendly dog 'Jack'. Our dog is welcome too as are our children who enjoy the variety of board games available to them. My husband and I don't spend a lot of time conversing as we are too busy reading the variety of magazines supplied too. We usually stagger back to the caravan site as a large wine truly is a large wine! Definitely a must visit pub in Yorkshire :-)

Delicious, good value (around £6-7) homemade pizzas. There are a couple of lagers, two beers and a cider on tap as well as a modest wine list. Friendly staff, dogs welcome, games and newspapers available - what's not to like? Highly recommended.

What a lovely atmosphere. Great menu and food . the pizza was lovely . Fantastic band on the night we went. A gem of a bar . Turns out its a fee house too. I expect to return to sample the different local brews.

a welcoming atmosphere combined with great food at very reasonable prices makes this a very attractive eating place. We had an excellent Sunday dinner cooked with locally sourced ingredients by the very pleasant owner.

What a find! Lovely Sunday lunch in this unassuming local pub, fresh local produce used and so tasty would recommend anyone try - thanks enjoyed very much and will return.

On visiting this little known corner of the Dales we were met with a warm welcome from the owner & her team. They serve real ale at less than £3.00 per pint which is unusual for the Dales, have an interesting menu of hot snacks & meals & have live music advertised. After a long day of taking groups caving I treated my staff to drinks & pizza here. There are not many outdoor friendly, dog friendly bars as welcoming as this left on the Dales. We'll be back!

Got seated with menu then waited!! After 15 minutes I had to ask for order to be taken. Food was good when it arrived. Our waitress was less than efficient. Other customers arriving after us were served some time before us.

Good pub menu and on the whole food very good. I had a problem with one element of mine but staff reacted brilliantly to resolve it. Great friendly customer service

We called in here to break up a car journey and my wife had the sausage bap and I had the bacon bap. The baps were a good size with plenty of filling, indeed my wife was unable to finish hers. All the staff were efficient and helpful and we may well have to return again in the not too distant future.
